A good place for events. However, it does not have very good visibility. It has many bars to buy drinks, enough bathrooms on each floor and very friendly staff, along with security.

Had an incredible evening at the concert hall. It was our first time seeing a show there, and my partner and I were very impressed with how attentive and helpful the venue staff were. On multiple occasions when we had a question, or needed directions, a staff member was right there to ask us if we needed assistance, and guide us to the correct location. We sat in the right balcony wing and had a wonderful view of the Avatar: The Last Airbender in concert. What a fantastic show, with great visuals and amazing sound. The musicians played with incredible emotiom and really brought the scenes displayed behind them to life. We laughed, we cried, and we had a wonderful time with a great crowd. Would absolutely love to see another event at this venue. Bathrooms are plentiful and clean, and there are many stairwells to avoid crowding, as well as elevators in the main lobby. They have a few bars, and drinks for a reasonable price as well as a self serve snacks station with a few options for drinks and snacks that you can bring into the theater. Parking was in the nearby garage on Trinity, a short walk away. There were guides all along the path from the garage to the concert hall, so no chance for confusion.

First timers here at this venue to see Avatar in concert. The building was clean and well kept, inside and out. The concessions are overpriced and not all that exciting, but that was to be expected. The auditorium was well maintained and the sound exhibiting from the orchestra was great and plenty loud. Everyone seemed to have a good time and the audience was lively. The AC managed to keep us cool, even when in a room full of hundreds of bodies within one space. Overall pleasant experience. 4.7/5

This place is beautiful inside and out, so easy to navigate and so many bathrooms and food counters. The acoustics were great! All you could hear was the performer, not a peep could be heard from the raucous crowd while the music was playing. A lovely place to enjoy a concert.

Large venue. Mezzanine level is far away from the stage so if have a seat further back, consider theater binoculars. Not sure if this is offered at other events.

June 2024 The Bass Concert Hall went all out for Frozen the Musical with special drinks and signage. Two merchandise booths were setup on the first and fourth floor, and could get your photo taken with prints for purchase. The selection of merchandise was the same found on the Play Bill online store and bet the same at the Broadway show. It was quick to enter and is a clear bag facility. There is some building renovations going on in the College of Fine Arts building where all the seating have been removed but the restrooms are still available. May 2023 This is the performance arts center where I see all my Broadway touring shows, but this time saw Steve Martin & Martin Short: You Won t Believe What They Look Like Today!. It was a fantastic show. As for the Bass Concert Hall it recently underwent a major renovation during Covid and will find it a very nice facility. Most parking is funneled to one of the nearby parking garages which may be frustrating to leave after the show, but traffic control helps vehicles leave in a timely matter. Getting into the place is quick where you scan your phone and walk through security. If never been here before you will find shorter lines for drinks and restrooms on other floors, and some have outdoor balconies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The seats are wide and nice fitting but getting to your seat may be tough where this place has no center isles, and have to cautiously get by people without stepping on peoples feet. But once seated will find the acoustics is good and enjoy the show.

This is not something you can rate for the most part. The place is part of the school and it is what it is. With that being said, I understand a 20 min intermission, but 100+ people on one floor trying to basically use ONE restroom and be back in 20 min or get locked out of the play is stupid. We had to go down 4 floors because they opened up the extra bathrooms, and of course, every floor is telling the same thing so everyone is going in the same direction. There were 4 of us literally in the stall, and they are telling us they are ready to lock those doors, which is to the inside of the concert hall. Then let us know we had 30 seconds to ger BACK up to the top floor from the bottom, or we wouldnt be allowed back in to finish the play. That is my only beef with this place. You pay 60+ for a ticket and get told you may not be able to finish the play if you dont hurry.

I recently had the chance to see Wicked at the Bass Concert Hall in Austin, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience! Heres why Im giving the venue a big five stars: The sound quality at Bass Concert Hall was top-notch. Every note, every word, from the powerful vocals to the intricate orchestra pieces, came through crystal clear. It truly enhanced the entire performance. My seat was comfortable and offered a great view of the stage, no matter where youre seated, youre sure to have a good experience. The Bass Concert Hall itself is a stunning space. The architecture is impressive, and the overall atmosphere is elegant and inviting. Lets talk about Wicked! The show was simply magical. The Bass Concert Hall provided the perfect setting to be transported to the world of Oz. The talented cast, the dazzling costumes, and the incredible sets all came together to create a truly unforgettable performance. If youre looking for a great place to see a show in Austin, look no further than the Bass Concert Hall. Whether youre catching a touring Broadway production like Wicked or another type of performance, this venue is sure to impress. I highly recommend it!

I m glad they have accessible tickets like that though ($10-$12). Lucky for me, my friend had extra seats in orchestra (which cost at least $80 online). Much better view. Would recommend bringing a face mask. Large crowds and there was a lot of coughing during the show. UT Performance Hall. Receives touring shows such as Broadway Across America. Long lines for restrooms. At the upper levels spaces between rows are smaller than at orchestra, which means you are more likely to get kicked on the back.
