This is definitely a well used and well maintained pedestrian bridge. Both walking and bike friendly. Connects to the trail on both sides of the lake/river. Also great views from the bridge of downtown and the river. There are plenty of benches on the bridge so it can be a hangout spot as well as a connector.

Truly an Austin experience not to be missed! Just an absolute beautiful piece of Austin and I recommend getting up first thing in the morning running alongside the lake and then crossing the bridge to the other side, all the wall making sure to check out the herons and other wildlife youre bound to run across!

A lovely place to view the new and rapidly changing skyline of Austin, Texas, day or night. There are benches to sit and just relax as the evening progresses or enjoy a sweltering warm summer day. Always refreshing to walk the pfluger pedestrian bridge, you get to see the Austin downtown skyline, the river and the beautiful sunsets, it connects south and north of the river with many walking trails across the banks, walk up north and you end up close to downtown, walk south and enjoy the beautiful hiking trails by the lake, best time to walk is before sunset, the views can be spectacular.
