This place has an authentic Austin feel, mix of western and modern. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is all great, havent had a dish I didnt like. We had the queso, hanger steak, and beef brisket. All very juicy and full of flavor. The drinks are good too - not a bunch of crushed ice, you actually get alcohol! They have live music upstairs.

I changed my reservation three times due to moving parts at the convention where my colleagues and I attended for the last three days. To be successful in hospitality there are basic rules. One is treating the customer with care and doing what you can to meet their needs. Lauren who was acting maitre d dis just that and flawlessly. She seated 6 of us indoors in a booth and made that happen. We ordered many sides to share in our group each one better than the other. Coleslaw is something I take seriously. I I g from NYC where every deli has their own for free on the table with Kosher pickles and the normal condiments. Lamberts coleslaw was perfect. As were the fried string beans atop a sauce, the queso was to die for and the eggplant very good. I had the beef rib which was way too big like 5x too much meat for me. It could ve done without the spicy under sauce or Tabasco. Great food and service. Iconic.

Excellent flavor on the barbecue brisket with flavorful sauce. Pork rib was fantastic with no greasy taste and all tender. Sides were superior. A bit pricey but worth it. The only downside was the rushed removal of plates without asking if we were finished. Lost some wedge salad when I wasnt watching. Vegetarian options: Sides were just right for my vegetarian grandson. Plenty of options.

I loved Lamberts lunch of brisket sandwich and cashew lime coleslaw. Each of the few ingredients of the sandwich are harmonies without seeming overwrought. Both their red and mustard sauces are an excellent compliment to their brisket without insisting on themselves. After Lamberts its fun to visit Toy Joy to shop, Joes for coffee, or the riverside trail to walk off your meal.

This place used to be great. Now, however, everything is burned. Had dinner with four people last night and not one person enjoyed their meal -- especially the person who bought the Wagyu rib and it was burned beyond recognition. The waiter said they were going for the charred taste; clearly somone should tell the chef that charred doesnt mean that the meat is burned off the bone. The pork steak was also way overcooked and burned.

I enjoyyyyedd so much going to Lamberts for my first meal in Austin. I found the place a little bit by chance and I was highly satisfied by the service. I was taken care of by Will. I loved his energy and professionalism. Food was also great: I had the 3 meats plate. It was heavy - as expected :) I also had an Old Fashion, that I liked very much. Would definitely recommend !

The food is very good, the atmosphere was amazing (we went on a Saturday night and there was live music), and our server was very nice! To improve for the future: we had the octopus tostada and felt like we paid $21+tax on a piece of corn with a little little bit of octopus. I felt like I wasted my money. I would have much rather order a second brisket for $8 more.

This place is not family style. Portion sizes are terrible for the price you are paying for the meat and slides. Just about $10/ per slice of brisket. Snapper was $41 and you didn t even get the whole fish, just a tiny slab. Of fillet. It was delicious and service was great but an overpriced bbq dinner for all involved. Better off at hard eight, bill millers, or terry blacks or any other bbq joint in the area.

Overall, good bbq for reasonable prices in fantastic atmosphere. Service was attentive but not overly friendly. Spicy and vinegar sauces were okay but the standard sauce may be the best I ve had in a few years! Good was quick, as expected in a bbq restaurant, however it wasn t hot, including even the mac and cheese and beans were lukewarm and were obviously not cooked fresh for our table. How to make five stars? Concentrate on training service personnel to be more appreciative and friendly to customers; ensure food is hot and fresh even if the service is a bit slower. Should you go? If you desire white tablecloth bbq this is your place, especially considering the prices are similar to picnic table bbq, however don t expect the food to be as good as Black s.

Lamberts is a great barbecue place if you are in the area. The crispy wild boar ribs wer6e very flavorful and had somewhat of an Asian influence. I would definitely highly recommend this appetizer to start with. I had the two meat plate which I would say is good. The brisket was lean, meaty, and somewhat tender. If youre looking for extra moist brisket, this is not it. However, the flavor was good and the sides that I got were collard, greens and coleslaw. Both of these sides were not bad. I really enjoyed that. The table came with three different sauces. My favorite probably was the mustard and then the hot and then the house. I saw some of my co-workers really lather their barbecue with the house sauce so that might say something about it. It was a little bit vinegary for me, however thats not a bad thing. I would say that if youre in the area and craving BBQ, this is not a bad place to go. With me living up north I would not make a specific trip to come here as it would be a little bit out of my way.

Poor excuse for a blues restaurant. Incredible idea, but prices are disgusting when you realize the core value and culture the restaurant is supposed to be based on. Waitress took my wifes order, then took mine, but I changed my mind. She then got my wifes order wrong. This wouldve been fine if she hadnt decided to blame her mistake on me changing my order. $60+ to get insulted by someone who knows next to nothing about customer service. Parking: You have to pay to park. $10 seems to be the cheapest option.

They were having issues with the heating upstairs, so we sat downstairs. We got some queso and a salad to start. The queso is super good! The salad was fresh and wasn t overly dressed. I got the hanger steak for my main meal. It was so good. It was doused in some sort of butter topped with an avocado cilantro dressing on top. I tried some of my friend s chicken, and it was very good. It was Smokey and moist. We shared broccoli and waffles fries too. The drinks were just okay to me. The food is where it s at!

Thank You, Chelsea! Unforgettable Dining Experience at Lamberts From the moment we walked through the doors of Lamberts, we knew we were in for a special afternoon. The ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for a delightful experience, but it was the service, especially from Chelsea, that truly made our visit memorable. Chelsea was not just attentive; she brought a level of care and professionalism to her service that was exceptional. She had an in-depth knowledge of the menu, offering recommendations that were spot on, perfectly aligning with our tastes and preferences. Her timing was impeccable, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates were promptly cleared, yet we never felt rushed. What really stood out was Chelseas genuine warmth and friendliness. She engaged with us just the right amount, sharing insights about the dishes and the restaurants philosophy, which added a personal touch to our meal. Her passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction, making us feel truly valued as guests. The food was, of course, superb a perfect blend of flavors and textures, beautifully presented. But it was Chelseas outstanding service that elevated our experience at Lamberts to one well long remember and eagerly recommend to others. Thank you, Lamberts, and a huge thank you to Chelsea for a wonderful lunch. We cant wait to return!

They went above and beyond to ensure everyone was well-fed and had a great experience. They had plenty of space for our group to mingle and have a great time. Service did not lag at all and everyone was very organized. The food was delicious and I thought reasonably priced for the quality and quantity we received. Nobody went hungry!! All of their staff members were attentive and friendly. We received positive feedback from all attendees that it was one of our most memorable group meals. The vibes are awesome and the drinks are strong! We would definitely return in the future if the group hosts again in Austin. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating

The food (Tx BBQ, appetizer, and dessert) was fantastic. We had a private party on the 2nd floor. Elliot and Marisol were extremely accommodating and the service was great. We actually over extended our time slot and Lambert staff was extremely flexible. We definitely will come back again.

Cool building and space, and smells amazing (which makes spending time in the neighborhood while hungry torture) but, for the barbecue itself, I d sooner go with about 20+ other spots in Austin.

We love this place. There are lots of new trendy places in Austin these days but this place has by far the best brisket in Texas period. Also other food is nice but the coffee rubbed brisket is the bomb.

Do yourself a favor and get the greens!! Omg, delicious! Mashed potatoes were great as well. Meat dishes were tasty! Portions are large! Couldve shared the entree with my husband. Dinner time found the atmosphere dimly lit and cozy, but the music was blaring!

Came here first stop after our hotel. Food was solid, especially as we put our order in a few minutes before the kitchen closed between lunch and dinner. Drinks and beer were great. The star of the show was the bartender Cameron. Dude was friendly, crushed the hospitality side, and even dealt with an upset customer at the other end of the bar really well. He set a high bar for bartenders for the rest of this trip.

I thought the brisket was too fatty and the portion size small (maybe 1/2 to 1/3 lb 3 slices) for $26. Seemed overpriced to me. It only came out a slice of bread and some pickled carrots/pickles. Sides were additional. Probably would not go back. Vegetarian options: only salad from what I could see

The food was wonderful. The carrot and avocado salad was creative and tasty. The brisket was amazing and the sauces were delicious. I always like banana pudding, but theirs definitely took it up a notch or two. Our server Rylan gave great tips and described the food and drinks so well. So glad they had an Oatmeal Stout and a Texas Tempranillo. Also great live music. Best meal we have had in Texas. Thank you for a great experience!

Went here for a birthday/Father s Day celebration. The atmosphere was awesome and we enjoyed the live music. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing!!!! I had the meat trio. The brisket was delicious and the meat from the rib was so tender and juicy. I didn t care for the crumbly sausage - personal preference. We had mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and the waffle fries (with the yummy dipping sauce) and loved every bite. A little pricey but for the location (in a historic building downtown), vibe and yummy food it is worth it for a special night.
