Had a great time here whilst visiting: strong beer selection, delicious late night eats (try the chicken nachos, they were the bomb), and friendly bartenders. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah: the 80s rock was doing me right, set the mood for our late night shenanigans. 3/17/15

We went on a Monday night, which of course is not a good night to go, but our appetizers took a while, even though there was no one there and then they didn t taste good anyways. I could have made the spinach dip and potato skins at my own house, potato skins weren t even crispy, they were soggy. Beer selection is fine. Bartender was nice.

Loved this place! Bartender was kind and drink prices were fair/average. The singer performing was very funny and excellent as well. Bathrooms were clean! Drinks were strong and tasty. The rooftop is very cute. I love the inside decor and furniture. It wasn t too crowded, but I assume it gets busier on weekends. Definitely a must try spot! We had a great time. View is nice too!

We are touring Austin and came to this bar . The waiters just stared at us . Nobody came to ask us what we want . 15 minutes passed and they were just talking amongst themselves in the counter . We left . We surmised they re racists . We re Asian tourists.

Shiners Saloon is the quintessential dive bar gem in downtown Austin. The vibrant atmosphere, NIGHTLY live music, and a big selection of 32 beers on tap make it a must-visit. Theres something for everyone and is more low key. The bartender Jacob downstairs was kind and helpful helping us find a beer we like. Ill definitely be back for more good times and live tunes!

Great rooftop with Pinthouse Hazy IPA on tap. Funky. Great music. Games to play with your friends and barkeep knows his stuff. Sliders are a good deal although the melted cheese is a bit messy (covering the plate and bottom of the buns). Tasty and slightly spicy. Nice.

Sat at the bar and was never asked if I wanted anything. Theres a reason why there was nobody else in there. Enjoyed meeting a dog named John Wayne and the door guy was super cool. Horrible, horrible service. Not sure how the overall rating is 4.4. Honestly, pretty upset I didnt read more reviews. Went to the upstairs patio bar, extremely rude bartender who basically didnt speak, answering in nods only. No plates provided. 5 of us sitting, only 3 sets of utensils given. I have no words, but I have all the words...never, ever had an experience like this. Its laughable. The only saving grace, was the food that we actually did order....was pretty tasty. but NOT worth the visit.

Went to have a few drinks with family n Friends an left before getting into a fight with bald and aggressive bartender who couldnt make a decent Moscow mule and then wanted to charge me for the drink which he tossed after we told him that it tasted bad. Apparently he cant handle criticism very well and it reflects really bad on the whole stablishment since not manager got involved to avoid for the situation scalating.

In Austin for a week and everyone here is great except your bartender. Sadly an experience I will remember from this trip. Just a hole-in-the-wall joint, and we loved it. The whole place has a seen too many drunken nights vibe, with signs of wear and tear all over. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff was friendly. The bathroom was a bit dark, but it is what it is. There was a sign near the entrance saying something like Topless Waitresses, but they were nowhere to be found
