Very clean and bright inside. Large bar with multiple service stations. Clean, nice unisex bathrooms. Lots of room inside with wooden picnic bench type seating. There are a couple of other seating areas around the bar with miscellaneous types seating. There is a nice size outdoor patio, half covered and half open to the sky. I was there on the grand opening night and it was packed. There was a DJ keeping it very lively. I was also back on a Sunday afternoon. They had an inside projection TV on with sports and sound. Outside was a live band. No wait at the bar and rhe drink of choice is the Paloma. Overall a great hangspot for a Sunday Funday or to kick off the weekend.

I stopped in here around 11pm on Tues Aug 6, 2024. Honestly, I had this bar confused with LaLas the Christmas themed bar but since it was late and I was already in the mood to try something different I figured Id stay. These types of bars are very hit or miss and as someone who isnt into dive bar style drinks its usually a miss for me to the point that I dont even bother and just go to Trulucks or J.Carvers. However, my bartender tonight Michelle was legit exceptional. Please believe me when I tell you her espresso martini was on par with the likes of Trulucks or J. Carvers. Her attitude was equally amazing, friendly, down to earth, went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Re: the ambience- it is slightly better than bars of this caliber as I could actually hear people speak without screaming. My only request would be to improve the bench seating along the wall- I would pay a premium for larger, plush seats and I know Im not the only one. P.S- the bar is actually open until 2 am not midnight as stated on google. I will be absolutely be back! Thank you again for the excellent service Michelle!

Its a great spot for drinks and spending time. This was clean and minimalistic, meets laid back, and friendly. The staff was highly engaging and very professional and friendly. Its an excellent place for tequila tastings because they have half-off flights on Tuesdays. I would highly recommend it and would frequent it again next. The patio allows dogs.

Drinks: Ahhhmazinggg. You can tell they ve put a lot of thought into each and every recipe. They are unique and flavorful and get the job done! Atmosphere: Fantastic! I always have a good time! The drinks were delicious. As for food we got quesabirria and street tacos with chicken meat from the food track. Quesabirria was good (according to my husband). Tacos were also not bad, but the meat was very dry Parking: Difficult to find a parking spot in the evening. Customers from 3-4 shops need to park at a very small parking spot.

Tried to get to La Taquicardia for the first time had to go through Lulu s. Because they are co-owned, apparently. Here s what happened at the first (and last!) visit: Part 1: Bouncer(s) / parking guys assumed I was an Uber Eats person or picking up (really? Assuming about people?) though I clearly said I wanted to eat at the La Taquicardia food truck. They wouldn t let me park anywhere except next to Lulu s, which was absurd. Then another parking guy associated with Lulu s came & said to park at 1045something Manchaca near the Montessori school & that it s quite a walk. Umm, went there, didn t find such a place. Found 10451 Menchaca though. Some others were pushed to park there, too, apparently but no one did bc of the towing signs. Part 2: Messaged La Taquicardia on Instagram about parking bc there is NO phone # associated online! Got a response a day or so later! Super helpful. Part 3: Went back to the parking & told the bouncer that I m here to eat, I see open parking now, can I park? He then welcomingly said, yeah, grab it & try the drinks. Umm ok (and no thanks). But finally informing the parking situation 2 attempts later. Overall, not worth it here. There are plenty of spots to choose from in Austin, and this ain t one of em!

The first time I came here I was blown away by the friendly and knowledge staff and the wide variety amazing liquors. The staff are like wizards with creating unique and delish cocktails. My favorite is the mescal old fashioned. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of south Austin and Mexico City. I absolutely love this place and call it my second home. Good drinks Rude staff. Been here twice. I went up to the bar to order drinks for my wife and her friends. I had a list and told the bartender each one. When I had told her the 3rd one she said Is that it? I was like yes, she then said well why didn t you just tell me all of them together. Told her she got my 1st order and started making it and didn t want to be rude. She then said well it makes it easier when you say it all by onece because some of the drinks use the same ingredients. I was like what? It s different drinks so different ingredients are used?! I was like okay sorry, she was like well next time say it all together. Told her I didn t know and didn t think it was a big deal. Apparently it was to her because she had to make the SEPERATE DRINKS with different ingredients. I m all about customer service and I ve ordered alcohol for over 17 years and have never had a bartender talk to me like that. Like I m sorry I didn t tell you my whole order. It was 4 drinks and 2 of them were the same. So yeah, cool spot but know you better order all of your drinks at once or else you ll get scolded. She could ve said it a better way instead of being pissed that I made her make drinks.

This place has a really great vibe. I went on a Friday night and the DJ was playing some really good tracks and had a great mix. Definitely knew how to read his crowd. I had an espresso martini, and the carajillo which were both very good. It s nice to see the effort put into the mixology of your drink. It can get pretty poppin on a late weekend night so seating can fill up easy. They have outdoor seating but could use an outdoor heater system. I definitely recommend this place. They have HH m-th and reverse on Fridays. Parking: The parking lot is home to several bars in this area so it can definitely be difficult to find parking when it s a busy day. Nevertheless, it s free.

My go-to South Austin spot! Not only is this place super cute on the inside they also have a patio in the back where you can find a delicious taco truck that actually tastes good. A few things that set this place apart 1. Mother & Daughter owned (the sweetest humans) 2. Craft cocktails (no batch cocktails here) totally recommend trying their margs 3. Inclusive AF 4. As an Austin native, Lulu s atmosphere is unmatched! Absolutely love the open layout inside. You never feel like you re sitting or standing on top of other people. The music is always good, and people actually dance! Something you don t see often when going out in Austin. We ve been to several events they ve held, which aren t only just inclusive, but FUN!! The outside patio is spacious, and refreshing. I can t wait for the upper level balcony to be finished! The staff is always lively and works hard, which is proven in the quality of their cocktails. Cute mexican bar with excellent cocktails and an awesome food truck (currently Taquicardia). They have different events going on so check their instagram for the latest on events. I went during a drag show and the performers were fabulous. The staff was all very nice and had excellent recommendations. They also have a nice patio with heating lamps. I tried their watermelon agua fresca but made it boozy and added a Tajin rim. Their happy hour is Tuesday-Friday $2 off specialty cocktails and $1 off beer. There is a parking lot but can be hard to find a spot if you go during peak hours.

Came here on a date night before heading to the movies. We loved the espresso martini and the spicy marg was delicious! The inside was decorated very cute, but I knocked it down a star because the music was so loud, I couldn t imagine being in there when it s extremely busy and everyone is yelling. Another thing I would suggest is to put QR codes on the table of the menu. There were only like 5 menus on top of the bar and created some back up while people were deciding on what they wanted.

Really beautiful space with tasty, strong drinks. Tried the brunch today from La Taquicardia food truck and it was amazing. Nice atmosphere and especially love that it s 21 and over. It s great to finally find a place to get a drink with just other adults vs. other folks kids running around-please keep it this way! :)

Stopped by on a causal, rainy evening and was surrounded with welcoming culture. Maritza and her family provide a cozy, modern environment that ll keep you wanting to return for more. I was in the mood for tamarindo when I sought out Lulu s & their Michi cocktail hit the spot. I enjoyed The Lola cocktail to finish the night & even requested Sade to the DJ (he played it!) Amazing spot! So different from your standard Manchaca venues. The style is so sleek and light. Very high end New Mexico feel. So many amazing drinks to choose from. Cant wait to watch a live band there. The owners are so super nice an native south Austinites. Definitely worth stopping in to see what all the hype is about. Lulus is my new go to spot.

It is ALL in the details. From the aesthetics, to the decor, to the way the music fills the room, and not to mention the drinks. ALL OF IT. The owners really took their time with curating this space. From sourcing local beers and aguas frescas for their cocktails, to local photographers work displayed on their walls. It really is a perfect blend of South Austin and Mexico City. There s a story being told here, and many will come from it. It s perfect to close out your work day, meet people for happy hour, or have a night out. I will say the ONLY call out is the parking - this isn t on them. Heavy on the recommendation to ride share your way there, or find paid parking at a neighboring bar. Just know, this will become one your favorites bar, favorite bar.
