Went for the drag brunch. It was an okay experience. Nothing really stood out. It is an outdoor venue with picnic tables. The tables were sticky. They have plenty of trees to provide shade. They offered a variety of Bloody Marys and pitchers of Aperol spritz. A taco food truck on the property provides eats.

We went to the Madonna drag brunch, and OMG what a fun experience! Tons of laughs and tons of fun!!! When in Austin go to the drag brunch. We were visiting for the Madonna concert and they definitely got us in the Madonna era!!!

This place desperately needs an audio engineer. Bands play so loud that you blow your hearing out and u cant appreciate the music. Im a volume to 11 kind of person but its idiotic levels here. My ears shouldnt hear the music rhe same way you hear music from a 1998 corolla.

Hotel Vegas usually has a band playing. Austin is known for its music. What is really neat about Hotel Vegas is that it shares a back patio (quite large) with Volstead next door. Volstead doesnt have a cover, so if your friend dont want to pay to see the band, you can still hang out with them in the shared back patio area. Its good setup. Also, 2 for 1 burgers on Mondays.

I find myself at Hotel Vegas all the time because they have at least 2-3 good shows a week, sometimes more. Plenty of seating. Plenty of room to dance. Plenty of bars. Nice food truck options. Can be a little crowded, but hey, its downtown Austin; deal with it. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps in the front and back

Vibe is great but the bartenders outside are the worst. Theres a line and they are just texting away on there phones and talking to their friends. Side note, incredibly rude. The larger girl with red hair noticed I had a USAA card, ask if I was in the military. I said yes. They looked at one another and said, Gross I own my own bar in Ireland before I retired, I could never imagine employing people like that. To the owner, if youre gonna have people out here for F1, maybe put your beat foot forward cause you lost out on mine and 10 of my friends. Inside bartender was amazing, though.

I was heartbroken after Barracuda closed down, but this has filled the void. A lot of shows are free or otherwise incredibly cheap. The outdoor area is super spacious with lots of seating. Indoors is small, but the stage is decently sized and Ive never noticed any sound issues. The variety of bands that Ive seen there is wild. Bummer Burrito out back provides all the energy you need in-between sets.

Ive been here a few times in the past, some for events, and others just to hang out. And all of those experiences have been great! The last time I was there, I went to see two small bands that played inside the bar, both of which were excellent. The outside area that Hotel Vegas shares with the bar next door is spacious, well lit, and has a great vibe. Theres a food truck parked in the space behind the bar, as well as an outdoor bar. Great spot, great crowd, Id highly recommend checking it out.

Used to be a fun venue, but, now theyve started bullying people on the street outside. Thats not cool. Especially when the band inside is singing about fighting oppression. Was in line on the sidewalk outside the venue on a Saturday night. A couple guys with a handheld camera and light were interviewing people in line. People were quite happy to talk to them. The bouncer comes out, walks right up to the guys and gets about six inches from them and says, You cant do that here, dont make me get mean about it. When the guys tried to protest the bouncer just moved closer and they walked off and said they didnt want to fight. For one thing, thats just bullying. Second, its OUTSIDE the bar. I dont think Hotel Vegas gets to tell people what they can do outside of their bar.
