I absolutely LOVE this place and am thrilled they opened in my neighborhood. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and the drinks are amazing. Definitely worth the stop if you re in the area, it doesn t get more Austin than Drinks.

Great atmosphere and great bartenders! Theyve got a pretty stellar menu of unique cocktails (Ill take a Hot Love any summer day!) and top-notch bartenders who are super-knowledgeable and great to talk to. The atmosphere is really nice - cool, respectful, chill patrons and an easy vibe. Staff are super attentive to making your time there great. In fact, I rarely find a bar where the staff are as friendly and attentive as they are at the Drinks family of bars. The onsite food trucks are pretty good too (get the pizza, the chew on the crust is just right!).

Rude service. Lots of rainbow flags, but zero American flags or Texas Flags. Throw up as many American flags and Texas flags, and this review will become a 5 star. Extremely expensive drinks for no reason. $13 for a small frozen margarita? Are you kidding me??? Lots of weird people hang out here too.

It s 1:30AM and they are still THUMPING BASS into the open night air at 90+ decibel! I can t sleep and they don t have a way to contact them to turn down the sound. Super inconsiderate of their neighbors. If I can hear them, their patrons certainly can too! Really disappointed in having this joint open up in a residential neighborhood. Hell has a name and it is called DRUM BACKYARD. Whatever soundproofing installed doesn t work. And the owners clearly don t care. Really disappointing. I will be updating this review every weekday and weekend that they do this. STAY TUNED. If I can t sleep, you can follow along googlers!

Love this place! It may be a bit out of the way for some, but our area was seriously lacking this kind of watering hole, and Im thankful that its as cool as it is. I love the awesome staff and the dog friendly atmosphere (theres even a little dog park). I also love that its adults only. Nothing against the kiddos but there are plenty places nearby that have that covered (shout out to Meanwhile). I also love the free music and often discover cool new artists. The trivia on Tuesday and the artisan markets they have periodically are an added bonus. The old fashioned is strong and delicious and they have a solid Paloma. Oh and Nocco s is soooo yummy! The only thing theyre lacking is American and Texas flags. I like to say the pledge when Im getting turnt. (This is a joke iykyk).

Great bar with reasonable prices and a friendly staff! The vibes are unbeatable with a chic and elevated retro aesthetic inside and lots of twinkle lights outside. The cocktails are great and the food truck options always hit. They throw a lot of events too! This is a great neighborhood spot and I ve had the pleasure of meeting the owners, great people! Been here a handful of times and it s a cool spot. The staff have always been pretty friendly and helpful. The place has the feel of most Austin outdoor bars - pretty chill, plenty of seating, big outdoor screen tv. My only complaint is that I wish they would allow kids until a certain time of day. Being right next to new housing with subdivisions full of families and being in the middle of almost nowhere, it seems like a miss. Owner has the right to do what they wish of course but was sad to be turned away at 3pm on a Saturday and it was pretty dead.

First time here and will definitely come back to update! The ladies upfront were nice and helpful. The place was open, clean, good parking and clean bathrooms. I loved their frozen drinks. My hubby was the only one drinking whisky and they made a free drink to taste! Our friends said the bands they have seen there were great. The BBQ trailer was open and the wings, macaroni and cheese and banana pudding were freaking delicious! Our friends said the pimento cheese smash burger was tasty as well! Again Id make the drive again from Southside.

I recently visited **Drinks Backyard** in Southeast Austin and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance inside was cozy and intimate and the gorgeous espresso martini I was served did not disappoint. I moved out to the patio and was equally impressed by their refreshing watermelon margarita, comfortable amenities, and killer grunge playlist. I highly recommend Drinks Backyard for anyone looking for a great cocktail and a wonderful time. I cant wait to come back for a concert in their huge backyard this summer. Update: Summer time in the backyard is legit. Bands, BBQ, and Beer. Try the banana pudding and Texas Sun.

Came in just to get a drink after work. A long day of work I come in here bartenders looking like do they really have to help me then I try to order drinks and they make a face like I dont have money. Im Mexican by the way. Tried to discuss hosting an event that would bring business and was BLOCKED on social media after saying its not good service to not have a phone number. This business silences negative feedback. Came here to watch the UT women play in the Sweet 16, and were appalled to find that the home-town team was relegated to a single minor tv, while the big screen was used for men s basketball. Bar full of loud bros and barely legal babies, none of whom were ever carded. Also saw multiple patrons carrying anywhere from 3-6 drinks on their own (another major TABC violation). The service at best was slow and at worst creepy. I went with my girlfriend and we felt extremely uncomfortable as the busser/cocktail server repeatedly stared or hovered right behind our seats. I love supporting local, but can t support what this establishment allowed or represented.

My new favorite bar in Austin. Awesome atmosphere, live music, great drinks, tons of space to hang out inside or out. It was a little chilly outside when I visited and they had some nice space heaters going that made it really comfortable, and some huge TVs around the stage that look awesome for sports. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making this bar an excellent experience and it really shows. There is attention to detail but not in a pretentious way - it feels like a bar should feel. The epitome of a good South Austin bar. And of course there is Cecilia, the best bartender in the whole city and one of the coolest people you will ever meet (this is not exaggeration, there was a vote and everything in the Austin Chronicle.) Dont miss out on this place yall! Cant wait to come back again

I had a cranberry and vodka it was alright. What was good about it was that I didnt have to pay for it, my friend was treating. Extremely good atmosphere outside. Dogs are welcome, on leach. Dont forget to bring a doggy dodo bag. You are required to clean up after your pets. Indoor bar with pool tables. Outside seating with tables and chairs. EXTRA LARGE TV SCREEN and other TVs not so large are along wall. I suggest anyone looking for a cocktail break should definitely stop here.

WE HAVE A WINNER! This is a new bar close to many neighborhoods, including ours. What a great bar! The vibe is so fun here! The service is top-notch. They play the best music inside and have bar games available. The drink menu is excellent, and they have a variety of bèers on draft. This bar has an outside sitting area with chairs, tvs, and a pool table. Outside, you can easily order food from 4 different food trucks: Smokin Brew-B-Q, Brewskis Grill, Noccos Napoletana & Plentiful. I definitely recommend this place. I enjoy coming because I always have a fun night with my husband and friends. Cant wait to go again! Parking: Park behind the bar. There is a big area for parking.

Double digit price for a ranch water. It was a shot of tequila, a lime and some tapwater, filled with ice and no salt. Hipster staff all collectively stare at you, like you dont belong, as soon as you walk in. First impression of what I thought was going to be a cool place left me unimpressed.

I live in a neighborhood close. Popped in for a quick one before bed. I was just observing from the end of the bar the staff here is exceptionally good. Cece (probably spelled it wrong) is ASL fluent!! Amazing. I have enjoyed my nightcap watching her communicate with several patrons who are deaf. Super cool. Will definitely be back! Really, really excited to have a neighborhood bar of such quality nearby. Its a great vibe as it is, but when they finish expanding/opening, it will be truly a great spot to chill and have some drinks. Cocktails are $8-10, which in my opinion is a fair price. Patio is dog friendly.

I thought it s a great spot to put up a bar/dog friendly spot. This area needs it. As for the drinks. The margaritas hit the spot. Very strong imo. But that being said, who doesn t like a quick buzz? I m excited to see this place finish. They definitely need to partner with a VERY reputable taco truck that doesn t overcharge for tacos and actually fills the tacos with meat. I think the taco truck will complete this place, especially when it s a good weekend afternoon when everyone wants a drink and some good food.
