Just moved to the neighborhood, and this is our new favorite spot! Service is always warm/welcoming, and the food and drinks have been bomb so far. Weve tried the Bleu Buffalo and Bacon Jam Burgers and the Hot Wings during our last couple visits, now we cant wait to try more....like the Texas Poutine and boozy coffees!

We got two waters which had floating black stuff in them and was charged 1.89 for non alcohol tax which I have never heard of. Service was good. I had avocado toast which was not toasted just bread. My daughter has the tacos and they were watery. Overall pretty disappointing.

Terrible service, rude bouncers. The bouncers targeted me as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Stayed at this bar for 20 minutes, got bored and went to a bar down the street for another half hour. As soon as I walked out the door and down the street they had my car towed in less then 15 minutes. Keep in mind I was parked in front of JuiceLand the next suite over and not even near their building. As far as Im concerned they make more money off the contract they have with the towing company then their customers. It was blatantly obvious they targeted me in a lifted truck, instead of my friends who were parked next to me in SUVs/sedans. They only towed my truck because they saw me get out of it, and were butt hurt I went to the bar down the street. Hope this place goes out of business, paying $230 for a 2 mile tow in less then 30 minutes is ridiculous.

Place has potential but they need to up their game. I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken. I asked for no onions and got onions. The chicken was flavorful but dry. (Hint - marinate it overnight). I was never asked for drink refills. Plenty of crisp screen TV monitors for sports. Free wifi.

To management: my friend lives in area and said your new place had great food at a reasonable price. We went for breakfast this morning at 7:59. When we walked in and a waitress was sitting in a booth, on her phone. My friend asked are you open . She looked at her phone and said I suppose so . As she was walking away she said sit anywhere and I jokingly said can we sit behind the bar , she stared at me and looked like she ate something sour. My friend intervened and said he was joking and she responded with a snarky comment. It was very uncomfortable so we left and went to another restaurant. I am a business owner and understand the impact that can be made by a bad first impression. Maybe a customer service training session is in order and I hope your employee finds peace.

Wow! Bricks Pub is a real hidden gem. The food was delicious and the service was great. Prices are very reasonable and the vibe is kinda upscale, but Bribks is cozy and inviting at the same time. There is a big outdoor covered patio and kids are always welcome.

The owners should help out if there s a solo server/bartender. This morning the server was completely overwhelmed totally stressed out because he had no help. I felt bad for him. I eat and drink or order take out at Brick s somewhat regularly in the evenings. The food is great and generally the staffing level is adequate. But when it comes to breakfast/brunch time, staffing isn t great. Brick s tried doing breakfast a while back and then ditched it. Recently they started serving breakfast again. A couple times I ve gone in during a weekday morning, and waited but no one was around. Today they had a solo server who was pretty busy. I have no problem waiting patiently, but felt bad for the guy.

The food was pretty bad and I have tried it a couple of times. Once we even went into the bar to eat so it can t be blamed on delivery. The tortilla chips were greasy and chewy, the queso was cold. I tried the burger another time and it was burnt and they barely gave any fries. I also tried the fish and it was lack luster. Not a fan. I much prefer Barkers St. pub and grill. The food is so good even when you order delivery.

Bricks is an establishment that me and my partner recently discovered. Britt in particular shows amazing work ethic and kindness and definitely deserves praise for all of her hard work. However, our experience this time was quite disappointing, primarily due to the attitude and lack of professionalism displayed by one of your staff members. Over the past few weeks, this particular employee has consistently shown a poor attitude. During our visit, we encountered eye rolls when ordering a latte, inattentiveness that resulted in only one water being provided for our entire group, and overheard complaints about making a latte directed at other customers right in front of us. Such behavior indicates a disregard for patrons who regularly support your business. Bricks has an awesome breakfast menu. I ve eaten here 3 separate times now and every time the experience has been beyond my expectations. The menu is dialed down with basic offerings, but thats not a detriment as the dishes are executed very well. The thing that keeps me coming back besides the delicious breakfast burrito is how friendly the staff is! Brittni, Craig, & Phil make me feel welcome every time I m there. Fun place; friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant. The menu is fairly short and sweet, but they kinda put a foodie twist on the classic bar-food themed selections. We loved the little corn dogs appetizer... so fun! The staff seemed hard working but relaxed and friendly. Im not a drinker, so I couldnt make any informed comments about the drinks except that their iced tea is tasty and fresh. They have 8 or 12 TVs on the wall with a variety of sporting events, so if you cant find something interesting, youre just not trying. The place is fairly intimate with 9 or 10 tables and the bar. They have an awesome covered patio seating area with at least a dozen more tables. Hey, this is Austin; we love outside! Check them out on a night where you just want a chill and chew- couple of drinks and a relaxed environment kinda time.

Nice vibe, friendly service, nice new patio, great drinks, but is absolutely not the place to go for gluten free food. Nearly everything is fried in a shared fryer or has flour added as a thickener. I was told even the chili had flour in it. Gluten free buns aren t offered for the burgers and there were no gluten free sides. The only gluten free entree available was a salad with modifications. Dietary restrictions: The only option for people with wheat or gluten intolerance is a salad. To management: offering gluten free buns for burgers and at least one or two gluten free sides (like potato salad) would go far in expanding business. If you could go further and have a dedicated fryer for gluten free foods (French fries, buffalo cauliflower) people would be thrilled! Parking: This bar is located in a strip mall with plenty of free parking.

If you want a really good burger, this is a definite recommend!! Burgers are juicy, cooked well, and the cheese, bacon jam and carmelite onions made it all come together to taste soooooo delicious!!! Look at the fries....they are scoopable fries and so yummy!!! Strawberry margarita was the best on this hot day! Seat yourself outdoor patio seating! Picnic tables only, but it works!! Outdoor atmosphere is really chill!! Dogs are welcome on leash and well behaved! Parking limited as they share it with a strip center, but you will have no problem walking if you want to eat here, its so good! Staff work well together and that is always a plus!! I was so excited to take my family to eat here, menu and reviews were great, unfotunately we were very disappointed. Vibe was very bland. Our server was extremely unwelcoming, unfriendly and offered no help with the menu nor made any suggestions. She seemed bothered we were there. This place was a treat! Visited the restaurant on recommendation, and it did not disappoint! Excellent food and a very friendly hostess. The background music was low and not at all disruptive. We ordered the Texas Poutine, Greek salad, Bucktown Burger, and Fish & Chips. Update: Visited the restaurant again 2 weeks later, and the music was so loud that one could hardly think straight! Im not sure what made the difference? We still enjoyed our food but did not enjoy the experience nearly as much as we could do little to no talking due to the excessively loud music. (Our booth was literally vibrating from the sounds coming from the speaker overhead.) Management, there needs to be a balance!

Honestly one of the best spots I ve been to in Austin. Our server Chris was awesome, very knowledgeable about the menu and also super chill and sweet. We stumbled across this place randomly tonight and I am impressed. I would like to mention that it kind of takes a lot for me to be happy in a restaurant. We were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we d like. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Our server, Blake was actually phenomenal. Quick, attentive, helpful, sweet! We ordered the chips, salsa and queso to start 10/10, the bacon jam burger with onion rings AND fries (he told us we could do a spilt when he realized we couldn t decide) 10/10 and the pork belly tacos. I personally wouldn t order those again due to the toughness of the tortilla and meat but overall decent tacos! I asked if they had any deserts and they told me they would be launching churros next week but could make them now. WOW. Those were absolutely delicious. Filled with cream, served with a chocolate sauce and pipping hot. We will definitely be back!

The food is great but every time we go, we sit at the bar and get totally ignored by the bartenders. Like, empty glasses and open menus for 20 minutes and no one asks us what we want to order to eat or if wed like another drink. Weve been in several times over the last 3 years and its always been this kind of service, even as weve watched employees cycle in and out of this place. Everyones friendly when they interact with you, they just dont seem to want to interact with you. Last time we were there, there were 2 bartenders and two other guys who I assumed were managers or something, all just standing around behind the bar chatting with each other while we waited and waited for anyone to take our order. Very frustrating.

TOW TRUCK SCAM This location has a tow company that patrols the parking lot nonstop. Both times I ve been here, i saw the tow company tow multiple cars in the course of an hour or so. The only time the tow truck wasn t in the parking lot was when he was towing cars back to his shop. Be very careful parking here and consider patronizing other, more ethical establishments until they stop their predatory practices. Parking: Parking is unsafe. The lot outside the restaurant is continuously patrolled by a predatory, unethical tow company.

He had his bottled budweiser, but I tried the town lake lemonade (sour side) and the south austin (sweeter side).. both were delicious!! Then he has the hot dags and I had the fish and chips. Everything was Delicious!! Definitely recommend!! Parking: Great amount of parking

I arrived and set at the bar. There was one bar tender who was moving very slow apparently due to a foot injury. He was obviously not happy about being there. There were several couples who came in and set at a table that he never even waited on. Those couple got up and left without ordering. Food was average and service was really bad.

We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The establishment is on the smaller side so its a nice hometown feel. Service was a little slow because the places was busy but very polite and apologetic. The server recomeded great food choices. We would recommend and return.

We liked it with my husband, unfortunately they did a very racist act to us. The waiter with a long beard saw us and did not serve us. Instead, he went to other people who had just arrived and we had already been waiting for a table for several hours. He did not say a word. less a smile. I am making this comment Just leaving the place disappointed and disgusted with the service. I dont know how this can happen even in these times!

Note: My rating system is three stars for what I would consider an acceptable or average experience for the venue that Im rating. I do this because Id like to reward excellence when I find it; hard to do that with posting 5 stars on everything. Great bartender and reasonable costs; I thought the food was actually really good compared to what I usually get at bars. Parking: In a strip mall so plenty of parking.

Staff here are condescending and create a negative atmosphere. Drinks should really be measured with a jigger if you cant count a pour. I do not mind paying premium prices for a well made drink, but this is not it. Go somewhere else, really anywhere else. I was not trying to get a heavy pour just a well measured pour that was close to accurate based on proper measurements. Disappointed in the level of service and skill here...this use to be one of my favorite spots too!

Just had the best burger ever in my 42 yr. life! *Bucktown Ordered it medium, came out medium - score. It was the perfect combination of caramelized onions, hickory BBQ sauce (ridiculous), an amazing cheddar cheese and bacon the way it should always be executed, all tucked inside a beautifully greedy brioche bun that refused to let go of any juice. I was so involved with the experience that I didnt take pics, but I went back today with my family and got the Buffalo Bleu. (see pics). They nail the onion rings and I dont want fries any other way ever. Im jaded now for life when it comes to burgers and Im OK with that. Do yourself a favor next time youre hungry.

Purchased several drinks with friends at the bar, we easily spent over $100 combined. I left my car while we shopped at nearby stores. I came back to see my car had been towed. $250 later, I will never spend another penny at Brick s Pub. Horrible experience. Similarly, is this how they treat customers who have had too many drinks and decide to leave their car behind take an Uber/Lyft home?

We visited your establishment with some friends and decided to leave a car in the parking lot while we carpooled to another location. We didn t see any signs in the lot or in your establishment that said cars would be towed! Our friends are now paying $200+ dollars to get their car back! We will not be back! We were paying customers. This needs to be clearly marked!

Hands down one of the best spots in Austin. The food is absolutely amazing (salsa, Bacon Jam burger), and the vibe/environment is very welcoming. Great selection of tap beers. It s a must visit in Austin.
