The Peached Tortilla

About the Company

rating: 4.5

We created an Austin dining experience that merges the familiar with something new: our menu is based on simple Southern comfort food with an Asian flair. The taste and quality of our menu items speak for what we believe in. Over the years, we have grown from a single food truck to a brick and mortar restaurant, full service catering company, and venue space (Peached Social House) in Austin, Texas. We are proud to offer a range of experiences from dinner and a cocktail at our restaurant on Burnet Road to a plated service wedding catering at one of Austin’s beloved venues.

Want to try something different with your family of friends and experience family style dining at a restaurant? peached Tortilla is definitely your go to place. Do try their Charred Brussels, The Brussels are perfectly charred and have their unique flavor, don t forget to buy their red chili sauce, which just adds the perfect flavor to the Brussels. Their Tofu Buns are soft and yum, you ll want more. Their Cauliflower Tacos are amazing as well, with a perfect combination of Cauliflower, veggies and taco. Dan Dan Noodles is a perfect combination of spicy sauce with Tofu and Noodles. Do visit the place with your friends and family to enjoy the food!

Love this place and the people! When the general manager, Blake, saw that we didn t eat a dish (I unfortunately cannot handle spicy food) he insisted that he would give something we loved, and replaced our dish without me even asking!

Food was really greasy. I felt a very heavy (I am 125 lbs) I really think the bacon jam Brussels had pure bacon fat poured over it. We also had the brisket and bahn mi tacos and I swear they were HEB tortillas. I did ask and they said they are not house made. They weren t even kissed with some heat. Lastly we had the pork bowl and it was terrible. The service was great and the staff was friendly. Tips: toast the tortilla for the tacos, make them homemade, less grease with food, and develop more flavors that are clean.

We went for Sunday Brunch at The Cedar Park Branch. We ordered the Brussel sprouts for appetizers which were okay. They were out of the sesame scallions puffs. We then ordered the Korean Steak and egg bowl. And the chicken Katsu. Curry bowl. The meats - chicken and steak were cooked well however the bowl was overall very dry. There was just a lot of plain white rice in both the bowls with minimum sauce in the katsu and none in streak. It felt like you were eating a lot of plain rice with protein with no real flavor . Think for th price there are better bowls and more flavorful options in Texas We dont eat poke so they did offer to substitute poke in the fried rice with chicken if we wanted to order the fired rice.

We had the most delightful experience at The Peached Tortilla for our 12th wedding anniversary. We travelled in from out of town (about 4 hours) to celebrate. We were taken aback by the various ways the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. Our waiter, Eli, was knowledgeable, personable and really great at anticipating our needs. We were lucky enough to meet Blake, the general manager, who was friendly, provided extra context about the menu items we selected, and really took care of us! At the end of the evening, we were surprised to receive a personalized happy anniversary card signed by their team. We will not stop singing their praises and cannot wait to return. I ordered the pre-fixed dinner and my husband ordered the Hangar steak ssam (which had been marinated for 48 hours) we are currently experiencing a food coma but everything was incredible. Thank you again for making our evening so special and memorable.

It s a cute little place. Best to make reservations beforehand. We ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and the Malaysian chicken. Both were pretty bland for our palette. There could definitely have been some stronger flavors in both dishes. We had to order some chilli paste for which they charged us like two dollars. I don t think that s a good look in a restaurant of this standard. And despite telling them that we would like our food to have some spice when we placed the order. They also charged a wellness fee which was pretty uncalled for given the tipping expectations. Portions are small but expensive.

Sat at the bar, the bartenders were very personable and attentive. Enjoyed the bacon jam fries as an appetizer to the pork belly bowl, which was rich and delicious. The Kentucky mule had a generous amount of alcohol in it while still tasting great. Amazing combinations of flavors at this place, truly a must-try spot if you live in the Austin area.

The umami chicken wings were great, crispy and well seasoned. The pork belly buns were nice; crispy, tender pork with refreshing cucumbers. Everything else was rather disappointing. The Dan Dan Noodles had an ok flavor but was way too salty. Same thing with the Malaysian Laksa bowl was very salty and lacked depth of flavor. The asian pear miso salad was also very disappointing, it had 4 slices of pear and lacked miso flavor. The worst of it all were the tacos. I got all 3 types and they were all very underwhelming. The BBQ brisket taco was too salty and overbearing. The Bahn Mi tacos we re alright but was again rather plain. The cauliflower wasn t bad but wasn t crazy either.

Me and my fiancé have been coming to this place for years. We sat at the bar sometime ago and by the grace of God met a man named John. We ve seen John periodically throughout our relationship, and he s always been an amazing human being, and we have had the pleasure of interacting with him while we enjoy a meals or a drinks. When we came in last night, he noticed that my past girlfriend, now fiancé, had a ring on. Unbeknownst to us, he spoke to the entire team and they hand wrote a beautiful card and blessed us with an amazing dessert paired with a beautiful champagne. I cannot express enough, how great this establishment is, and the people that work there are. They did this all out of love for their patrons, and it literally made my fiancé cry happy tears. I d like to thank each and every one of you, especially John for making our experience as close to a fairytale as possible. We will celebrate every anniversary from now until the end of time at Peached Tortilla. Thank you again for everything you have done for us and all the memories we have made at your beautiful establishment. We will see you soon! P.S. - The food is off the charts!

Drinks are delicious too! Only think is they recommend family style when the plates are really just fine for individuals. Also the plates they give you are tiny so it was a little hard to do family style (as its suggested). There is a nice patio outside so super dog friendly. Also they have happy hr 5-7pm on SATURDAYSSSS Anyway great food and thats what matters.

Came for brunch on Saturday! Overall had a really great service and delicious meal. However- the name leads you to believe there s some sort of Mexican or Latin flare and the food was very much Asian inspired; we thought we were getting breakfast tacos based on the name alone. But the place was great. Staff was nice, menu was interesting and made you want to try everything! Good selection of cocktails, beer and wine, all the food we ordered was super yummy, Cute inside and very clean and pleasant bathrooms :) Overall great spot but confusing name lol

Like the southern Asian fusion as a concept but believe it could be executed better :/ The rice cake dish is too salty to my taste but appreciate the Sichuan spice that adds to the flavor. Scallion puff is flaky and thick in layers but the real highlight is the miso honey butter sauce. Other small dishes like pork buns and crispy brussels sprouts are okay. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time otherwise very likely to be seating outside even tho there are plenty of spaces inside.

The food was okay; nothing to write home about. The chicken katsu sando is not really a sando (because they don t use Japanese milk bread slices). It s more like a fried chicken sandwich if they just use hamburger buns. 6/10. The chicken katsu curry had a funny aftertaste. 6.5/10. The hangar steak & eggs bowl was the best; very soft and seasoned. 7.8/10. The avocado toast had a ridiculous amount of cream cheese on it. 5/10. Some problems related to servicing (?): -The waitress asked what kind of egg we wanted on top of the avocado toast, indicating that egg should have been included. Avocado toast came completely without eggs. -Someone in our party asked if they had regular potato fried to substitute for the sweet potatoes in the brisket hash. Waitress said no regular potatoes. Later, there were regular potato fries accompanying the chicken katsu sando. What??? So they had potato fries after all? -Not sure if it s because the waitress couldn t hear us, but someone in our party ordered a French roasted *coffee*. The coffee came out no problem. Then, the waitress delivered us a French Toast as well. If there was a communication problem, why was the coffee delivered just fine right before? We were told they would comp the toast, but then they rescinded that. No problem. It s not about the money. The service and vibe just felt weird after that though. ***Be forewarned: they charge a 5% wellness fee, which they do say they can take off the tab if you want. I believe they shouldn t have added to begin with. You re intimidating patrons into accepting the wellness fee because rarely anyone with social grace would confront the service staff about this to their face. This might be an unpopular opinion, but if you are a reputable establishment and cannot cover your full-timers medical and health coverage, please kindly evaluate your business model. Tl;dr: Mediocre fusion Asian food and questionable service. Our party would personally and respectfully not return.

Okay, Ill admit, we are both Latinas. I love my tacos and Im very picky too. We ordered the BBQ brisket tacos (the trio). You can chose flour or corn. Very flavorful. Tortillas not as great, but I dont think anyone makes authentic tortillas anymore. But the company should maybe look into that. We also ordered the social burger. That thing was huge! Lots of flavor. Fries (blah). Egg on top was not so great and fries were soggy and no salt. Drinks were amazing. Lemonade and tea yummy. Overall I give it a 8/10. Super friendly staff.

Long story short: The food was only OK. As a whole, our trip was disappointing. Me and my family came to TPT for brunch on a Sunday after searching for local food and seeing good reviews online. While the servers were very friendly it was obvious they were also rushing between tables, maybe because they were short staffed? Let me put it to you like this: they were quick with the check but slow with the food. The starters came well before the entrées, to the point where we werent even hungry when the main course arrived, and when it did, it was lukewarm. We had ordered some brisket hash and the korean steak and egg bowl, which we were looking forward to but were unfortunately disappointed by. Taste is subjective so take it with a grain of salt when I say the steak was seasoned but it didnt taste particularly good (a grain of salt might have helped, tbh). The rice wasnt BAD but it was a little mushy, same with the brisket hash. The presentation of our food was beautiful, but as far as taste goes, it felt like something I could have made myself, which is not something I want to think, especially at these prices. On a more positive note, the watermelon agua fresca was extremely refreshing and the scallion puffs w/ miso brown butter were maybe the best thing Ive had in a while. The butter turned a savory bite of puff pastry into a sweet treat, it was the highlight of our trip. ...which is a shame since its served as an appetizer. Were not planning to go back anytime soon, but if you are, maybe stick to drinks and some apps for the brunch menu.

We, however, were seated inside and felt a bit cramped up. We ordered the scallion puffs which was really nice and charred Brussels with onion jam as a sub for bacon jam, again appetizing. We ordered the Avocado Toast which and the Chicken Katsu Curry, both of them again were really good, the only thing I disliked was the Katsu Curry was that the bowl itself had a chip on it which took the experience a tad down. The side of Parmesan Fries were also nice. I passed on the dessert but my friends ordered the Nutella stuffed french toast and they really like it. We came for Valentines Day and were a little disappointed that we were unable to order off the regular menu. They had a special menu made with a preset price for the holiday--a starter, entree, and dessert for $55. Im unsure if this was made clear with the reservation because my husband is the one who made it, but we were both surprised. Initially, I ordered a Korean pancake as my starter while my husband ordered some lamb wontons. The wontons were unique and came with a peanut chili sauce covered in cilantro--quite good. The Korean pancake had good flavor on the vegetables, but it was thick and chewy and tasted of raw batter. For literally the first time ever, I sent it back to the kitchen. I was told repeatedly that its supposed to be that way. Our server was apologetic and got us some more wontons instead. I was pretty embarrassed about the whole thing, but they were kind. The entree options were between a seared tuna and a Malaysian curry with pork, so we got one each. The tuna dish was very unique, being served on a squash puree and topped with crispy lotus pod slices. The tuna was spicy and of good quality. The curry had a very strong, almost a little overpowering, flavor. The meat was tender, but the whole thing just seemed a little too much, as it was covered in chili and saffron, and all of the flavors muddled together. Out of the two dessert options, we both ordered a lychee creme brulee. It was light and held the lychee flavor well. Im not a huge fan of the texture, but thats personal preference as my husband loved it. There were sometimes long periods of time when we werent checked on when we needed service, while sometimes also being checked on a little too often. It was a busy night in there. Our check came to be $130 with taxes and fees and a lemonade. This was just really disappointing because the restaurant limited our choices and forced us to pay a set amount, and the food just wasnt at that level. I wish I could have tried their regular menu.

My husband and I came in for a quick brunch to celebrate our anniversary and from start to finish, it was the most thoughtful and special experience. The staff was incredibly kind (Eli was a huge part of this), they gave us amazing recommendations, explained every dish as it was served, and then ended the meal with a special anniversary treat and note hand signed by the entire staff. We have been to 5 star restaurants that didn t treat us with this level of care and kindness. And on top of it, the food was one of the best meals we have ever had. The puffs and the crispy rice cakes were MUST HAVES. I cannot wait to come back here and will be dreaming about the puffs until then.

After reading the reviews and hearing about how much friends loved The Peached Tortilla, I have to say how disappointed I was with our experience. We had a reservation and arrived ~10m early. After being seated, we waited for more than 20m without anyone coming by so I found a server who happened to be ours. She apologized for not coming by and let us know she would be right there. She came over a couple minutes later and greeted us and brought water and took our order for appetizers. She then didn t return to take our drinks order until the appetizers, which were very good, arrived. By this time we were at the restaurant for more than 30m. The service continued to be lackluster but we were hopeful our entrees would make up for it. She brought us more water and let us know that three of the dishes were ready and the last would be finished momentarily and that she d bring them as soon as the last was ready. Unfortunately, we waited 10 more minutes before the food finally arrived. The runner who delivered it explained each dish and what to expect. Unfortunately for me, my burger was no longer hot and the sunny-side up egg was cooked until the yolk was cooked solid, and the fries were flavorful but not even close to being hot. The other dishes were much better than the burger. Normally, I would have send the dish back but the waitress didn t come back by to check in with us for 10+ minutes. We were excited to try The Peached Tortilla but based on our initial experience, we won t likely be back.

We had an appetizer, several plates and shareable meals and none of us could decide what was our favorite. LITERALLY EVERY BITE WAS MOUTHWATERING AMAZING!!! And the drinks were to die for too! The topper was the beautiful hand written birthday card signed by the staff and the OMG DELICIOUS ice cream for dessert! The sweetest gesture just added to our great dining experience. My husband and I booked The Peached Tortilla for our wedding, and were so glad we did! We wanted a menu that had timeless foods with a bit of a twist, and Peacheds fusion of Southern and Asian flavors definitely delivered. Emily, our Sales & Events Manager, worked with us through several menu changes and made sure we had all our selections for food and dinnerware made on time. We really appreciate that The Peached Tortilla offers both private and group tastings, which helped us get the menu right. The food was amazing on the day, and guests kept commenting about how much they enjoyed it. Emily made sure guests with dietary restrictions were accommodated seamlessly, which was great. Let me say that immediately upon arriving, there is a very sweet hostess who is waiting to greet and sit you. This place is pretty busy but the wait wasn t long when I went there at around 5pm. I ended up here at the recommendation of a bartender who was housed next to the sub par burger place called NADC Burger. They said this burger far exceeds that of NADC. They were not lying. I ordered it as is. They fried onions and egg, added a homemade sweet aioli sauce, seasoned the beef very well! The burger bun was so incredibly soft and buttery! Wow! The fries, were fried to perfection exhibiting a host of flavors with the fry spice that they used. I loved their drinks! I got a coconut ginger tumeric drink! Frothy, soooo smooth! It tasted incredible, so much so, that I ordered it 2 more times. It was about $14 but well worth it each time! The bartender there was super friendly and did tricks with the drinks at the bar! The ambiance gave modern country! Like swanky kinda feel. You can wear business casual here and fit right in. Plenty of parking as well. It s not kid friendly tho so don t bother bringing kids. I plan on coming here again soon! Parking: Plenty of opportunities to park! Loved that about this place. It s located in the back of their building.

If you havent been here yet, youve screwed up. The food here is at the fine dining level at a much lower price. My wife and I ate here last night and we could not be more impressed and surprised by our experience. Im sensitive to gluten so my options were a little limited. Luckily they are knowledgeable on allergies and can modify a lot of their dishes to remove gluten ingredients. Not only that, we could not believe how tasty every single dish we ordered was. The Brussel sprouts were probably the most stand-out thing we ate. Unbelievably good, and Im not normally a huge fan of brussel sprouts. I also ate a custom gluten free burger with a lettuce wrap, and even that tasted surprisingly good. The pickle appetizer was amazing too, extremely unique flavors. Highly recommended!!

I had high hopes for this place but wasnt impressed. The highlight of the meal was the Cleopatra cocktail, which was unusual and delicious, but the food was lacking flavor. We tried the pork bao buns - while the texture of the buns was perfect, the pork belly was flavorless and had no sauce. Similarly, we were recommended the kimchi arancini balls, which also lacked flavor. We even had to ask the server to bring us some sauces - a spicy chili, a Schezuan chili sauce, and a Japanese BBQ- we tried each separately and then in combo, and none seemed to improve the pork belly or kimchi balls. We finished with the highly recommended dan dan noodles, and while the spicy peanut flavor was pleasant, we found the texture sticky and flavor overall was one-dimensional. Although I would be willing to try again once the seasonal menu changes, I doubt I will be back due to the lack of parking.

She was also very helpful when I wanted to know about more about the ingredients and preparation method since I m on a special diet. We loved our food and our drinks. The Kentucky mule (not pictured) was tasty and I took a chance on the drinking/sipping vinegar, but it was actually pretty tasty. The setting inside is intimate, which I loved. The parking in front doesn t seem to have that many spots, but it doesn t seem challenging to find parking on the nearby streets. 10/10 loved it here and will be back. Unfortunately, this place is no longer worth going to for me. The food has been declining steadily probably due to cost savings efforts, the biggest issue is the disgustingly fatty brisket they now use. Its called Social Hour...and we had a blast. We were early and got our choice of tables on the patio. We also were lucky enough to pick a Wednesday for the Whiskey and Fried Chicken special. Unfortunately we only wanted a couple cocktails and some snacks. Order the Kimchi Arancini Balls with sirachi and Wasabi dipping sauces. Perfect. We tried the seaside and blackberry baret. Both were fun and refreshing. Next the crispy umami wings swimming in a light but joyous fish sauce vinegarette and fresh herbs were delightful. Add a couple extra for everyone will want 2...or more. A couple more cocktails, for me the Whiskey Cocktail BLT boubon lime tonic...and for my heart the Margarita de Peached with Habenro-Thai basil infused tequila and spicy salt in the rim. Its not for the faint of heart...she was ready! We wanted to try some of their street tacos as an ode to the food truck days. So on the Social Hour menu was the Kaula pork on a fresh corn tortilla a bit of slaw and some Wasabi sauce. Not the mast bite we wanted but not bad. My love and I cant wait to come back and order a proper dinner and try more of this delicious food. Happy or Social hours with you my love are the most precious.
