We came for fright fest on two different weekends one on Saturday and the other on Sunday so far this year. The ride are great and the park looks good but I am VERY disappointed in the lack of scare zones. I went to all of them and found 2 people scarring, that s it!! Everyone is in the haunted houses and not in the scare zones. So in order to enjoy fright fest, you must pay a large amount of money to go to the haunted houses which we are not doing. Really the is the worst year so far that we have seen for fright fest. Six flags you need to step it up. I grew up at this park and the last few years have been a big disappointment.

None of the employees could point us in the direction of the haunted houses. Everybody seemed clueless and like they didn t want to be there. We waited in line for over an hour at the conjuring haunted house and there were, I kid you not, only 2 actors in there. We should ve listened because people exiting the conjuring haunted house were yelling to everybody in line It s not worth it!! Get out of line! even small children were insulting the haunted house. We peeked in the cubbies where the actors are supposed to hide and they were all empty. The girl that gave the rules for that ride was extremely hateful. She told us the objects were cursed so no touching, we laughed, she then threatened to kick anybody out of the park that didn t take her rules seriously. My lord that was ridiculous, we were remaining silent and respectful during her presentation of the rules, we just let out a chuckle when she said the items were cursed. She did not like that one bit. Saw was horrible, trick r treat was awful. And trust me, I m scared of EVERYTHING, I can t even handle a scary movie. Scare zones were far and few between, not as many decorations. I tried to warn people on six flags facebook page and my comment was taken down. HUGE let down and waste of money, even with a season pass. If you re going only for fright night it s not worth it, if you want to get on rides too then I think it would be fun. If you factor in $55 for parking, $60 for admission, another $40 for haunted houses you might as well hit some real haunted houses in dfw. Which is exactly what we did when we left six flags!

Be aware that this park closes any time rain is forecasted, you can t carry a bag with a long strap in because long straps are considered a weapon, they close rides early, and some of the staff begin to treat you rudely near closing time.

We have always been Six Flags fans and visit the park quite regularly for family fun in Dallas and San Antonio. We havent visited this one in about 10 years as we have enjoyed fright fest at Fiesta Texas the last few times. While we always have a good time enjoying the rides we were extremely disappointed in the fright fest festivities at Over Texas yesterday. The decorations were great but as the awakening hour approached we did NOT see anyone dressed up in the scare zones that were marked and we walked through them several times just to see if we had missed them. We had a great time as a family riding rides but were let down by the lack of frights at fright fest.

Love this place. Went today, 9/28/24. Just bought a season pass with the dining pass. Had trouble using it every time. It wouldnt work anywhere. Went to the front and was just told they dont know why, and it should be fine... no major deal, but as expensive as they are, I shouldnt have had this problem. We still had a great time.

Park is going downhill. Several of the attractions that were supposed to be going on, were not going on really disappointed. Also, none of the employees knew anything about what is going on and where it is could not tell us locations. Food was bad all around. Also was cheated on game. After showing the guy, the sign that says you make a ball in you win the prize Said you had to make two balls so I did it twice. Then he said it was a new game. In the sun, one ball for three dollars or four balls for 10 how do you win a prize if you can only buy one ball. You buy a second ball to win the prize that s not the way it works. 4 balls for $10. Is one game

For Fight Fest that states children should leave by 5pm.. there is millions kids everywhere! Plenty unsupervised teens, and baby strollers everywhere you turn. Couldnt enjoy anything because it is so crammed full people. Bumping in to everyone just trying to walk. Cant see any shows, got kids run and screaming. Really takes out fun for the adults that expected rules to be enforced.

Been a passholder for two years and love coming to OT. Buying a season pass with Flash Pass is your best bet if you hate waiting. I wish they would add better/more theming and a ride where Harley used to be, by Joker and Riddler. Hoping the merger with Cedar Fair will not disappoint. The only downside is OT HAS to figure out how to properly man the parking gate. Every single time, the entrance is a free for all. You never know which toll booth will be open. The entrance/exit to preferred parking is a nightmare with the narrow paths. There will be accidents due to this one day.

When I came here to spend the Sunday with my family, I felt ecstatic. We all enjoyed coming here and not thinking about anything but having fun. The rides were extremely exciting and we all just had the times of our lives. Last time I came here was about 15 years ago and it all looks very different. I felt like it was my first time again, which made my experience even better. I took my kids for the first time and now they all ask me to come here everyday..I recommend Six Flags to anyone as a fun Texan experience!

Good theme park in terms of rides and variety, but there were lots of issues with the reliability of the rides. I got there around 1230, and wasnt able to get onto a working ride until 2pm, which is a bit crazy. I ended up having 3 different rides break down while I was in line (one broke down twice, for a grant total of 4 breakdowns). Ive never been to a park with that many mechanical issues, which was a little mindblowing. Also, their estimated wait times are laughably bad. After waiting 45min in a 5min wait line (according to THEIR app) an employee told me that they only update those EVERY HOUR. So its not even close to accurate. Disney and Universal both manage to do it, why cant 6 flags? Also, employees would frequently FAIL to announce that a ride was broken, and it would have to trickle down the line... isnt that why you have a loudspeaker? Left early because I was frustrated standing in lines only to be told the ride was broken. Pretty disappointing for a day that cost well over $100 between ticket, parking, overpriced food... Spend your money on another park, this one needs some serious help.

The VIP guest booth had a discounted employee who would not help us with the information we needed. Almost seemed like he didn t want to be bothered as he was scrolling on his phone. We ended up going to customer relations and we were again met by another female who didn t seem to know anything. They also had an employee that was caught by several people sleeping on the job by the ride raging rapids. This is dangerous and one raft needed up getting stuck which made him wake up. Fright fest employees at the entrance to let you into haunted houses were not so nice. We wanted to be the first in the group to go into Conjuring to get the best full experience but was told by an employee we couldn t and then we said we would wait and he responded with that s not the way it works and you have to go. We ended up letting the family behind us go ahead of us instead. Also, for fright fest we were also told there is no re-entry after seven pm. So we felt like we were being held against our will since we had already purchased fright fest tickets. Also, our diamond passes did not work for the season pass drinks and we ended up having to pay for it even though they were supposed to be free. This made for a long and drawn out day. We will not be coming back to this location.

This was the worst experience I ve had at six flags. Being a season pass holder I expected to get into the park but since my pass wasn t a high enough level, I had to pay for a ticket since it was a blackout date. This was frustrating but given that fright fest was advertised as the scariest fright fest ever I was understanding and willing to pay the extra money. Once getting into the park, I was able to go on 1 ride due a majority of rides being shut down for technical difficulties which is understanding since this is uncontrollable. As for the fright - which I paid extra money for - there was not a single actor/character out as advertised around the entirety of the park. Luckily I did not pay for the haunted house pass given the fact that it was $35 for all the haunted houses and I was unsure of the lines. After speaking to other people in the park, most of the haunted houses were either shut down due to technical difficulties , were very underwhelming, or had 1+ hour lines. Aside from the scary music and fog, there was absolutely nothing in the park that related to fright fest. There was also no soda machines working. After all the advertising I was very excited to come this year and was very disappointed and will not be coming back and am out $35 on top of the season pass I purchased. I would definitely not recommend spending any money to come here for fright fest as there was nothing going on.

Frightfest didnt even open the haunted houses until almost 2 hours after it started, and when they did open the houses over half of them were closed for technical issues. Also they are not enforcing the new 18+ policy. And they just let anyone in the haunted house lines regardless if they had a pass. I literally just threw money in the trash.

I brought this to the staffs attention, hoping they would help fix the issue. Unfortunately, they completely ignored me and didnt even acknowledge my complaint. For a place that charges so much for tickets and food, I expected much better service. The lack of response and care really ruined the experience for me. Its a theme park. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean. Most refil stations ran out of soda not even 2 hours after the park opened and they said its because of how many people were there though there was noticeably less people than any other time weve visited so definitely lack of preparedness. Also ran out of Cheeto popcorn powder by 4 pm. after being opened 4 hours with 7 more to go. I get its a lot of people, but this is the first Ive been to with less than 1hr wait on all the rides running out of things soon after they opened. Probably have 2 staff members happely to be there, bless their hearts, and each ride is a red flag because they put the microphones in ther mouth when giving instructions so they sound like theyre gurgling water, then have the audacity to get snippy when people dont know what the heck they said. Its wild. Fright Fest...I was prepared to be scared out my draws the way the signage read, but idk what happened. Maybe the actors were tired too. Other than that, its a themed park, so its fine!

Update - 9/14/24 This new chaperone policy is what I dropped my three star review to one. I d go zero if I could. We have a 17 yr old daughter and a 18 yr old daughter who have had season passes to go together all year and had no problems until now. 17 yr old is working on getting her drivers license. She was not able to get in today after alllllll year we ve had these season passes due to not having an id. I will not pay extra admission for me as mom to go when I would have purchased a season pass for myself(mom) earlier in the year if that was the case. I know I m not the only one. Also why did the flash passes go from $199 to $399 from last year. That s double the price in a year times. If my kids didn t love riding the rides I wouldn t spend a freaking penny here. I DO NOT recommend six flags money trap and ridiculous rules changing in the season pass yr. Change the rules for the next yr prior to selling the season passes to be transparent with crap we have to put up with instead of after the fact of spending all that money. This has to be a consumer law broken here. 2023 previous post Do not believe anything the attendants tell you as they explained everything wrong and now I am stuck having to buy 3 more flash passes. Be prepared to wait an hour just to deal with your flash pass retrieval and/or if you have issues with it connecting to your account to even use it. This set up is the most ridiculous thing. Please train your attendants better before having them out in the park giving wrong information. I should have known when I saw the lady in front of us having the same problem because one of the attendants told her wrong as well. poor poor experience.

The haunted houses was a complete waste of my time, got invited to a three hour preview party the only thing scary about the park was the fact that the line was a good 2 and a half hour wait for a 45 second walk where the scare actors didn t even scare anyone they walked out rather than popped out Especially the stranger things house Chrissy didn t even look like Chrissy Eddie was hopping around with trash can lid for whatever reason prancing around and almost hit one of the other park guests I guess the reasons yall didn t want us recording was so that other folks could waste a stupid amount of money for their time to be wasted If yall wanna get scared go to an actual scare park get those waivers signed because in the end it ll be more worth than going to six flags for a scare Might I mention the reason they re low on staff is because they don t take care of their employees They won t hear you out when you call in and if you re at the job and get sick they will fr say just throw up we will clean it fully expecting you to be fine enough to continue work. Not only this you re lucky if you get a 45 min break for your 12.50 hour shift. Oh and if you order food and if they mess it up they will say they don t do refunds or they will try to judge how spicy it is for you as if they re your doctors these are the people in charge of giving employees their food so the parks customers are only lucky they don t have to experience those atrocities. Highly disappointed in what the park has become thought my years of visiting. Beyond disappointed i can only wait for Disney or universal to put six flags back in their place. Holiday weekend, so it was a bit busier than we were anticipating. Add long as you got there when it opened, the waits werent bad. By early afternoon, wait times jumped up to, and over, 45 minutes. To be expected, though, beings that it was crowded. Had a blast, though! Bought season passes so we can go back several times throughout the year. Excited to go back!!

All the rides are good and some are excellent except the big lines for the star attraction.. unless someone wants to pay for flash pass .. take the water rides and the lower rides which have less line and then if you still have time then go for the star attraction or maybe go between 7:30 -8:30 pm as it s less crowded

So I literally ran inside like a child this was excitement on another level. So much so I forgot about my 3 kids and husband. I was a woman with a mission. So let me tell you, get the FLASH PASS! Totally worth it, you jump at least 30 persons , its awesome. Out of all the rides MR freeze was my all time favorite! On rollercoasters the new Texas giant beat the Titan. This place has a kids area that is super! So many to get on and enjoy the day. We really enjoyed the fans that sprayed mist / water all over the park. So refreshing. This place is huge, plenty of space and benches, picnic tables to eat lunch or have a snack, nice shade to sit in. On the Batman ride I advise you all not to use earrings. The twix is an awesome one also including the aguan man ride omg ! So I did carry water and cookies so my kids can snack on them. Gentlemen in the sky swing ride is amazing super funny makes your wait in line so at ease.

I have been a season pass holder every year since 2020... The price listed on the website is not the price that was honored. Says it has something to do with a previous offer but I can still see said offer right now... Seems like a bait and switch scam or false advertisement. Then Katrina decided to end the customer support conversation before I was done asking questions... Bad business if you ask me. What next, am I going to find out my current season pass was canceled due to retaliation

I know some of yall in the rides dept read these reviews so please read this one. The park had nice amenities like misting fans and drying stations. Also, the food and beverage was a lot better than my home park. HOWEVER. The operations on the rides scared me. For context: I m a ride operator at another park. When checking restraints; the attendants would tap on the lap bar (no real push down and pull up) and some wouldn t even touch the seatbelt. We told a supervisor about it (specifically on new Texas giant) and she told us there was nothing she could do about it. Nothing she could do about a major safety violation. I don t know their standard operating procedure on any of their rides, but I know rides with the same exact restraints as some of their rides and I know that I d be in major trouble if I did something like that. I also noticed that Shockwave was operating with two trains and two ops in the station. This means that the panel operator was checking restraints which is a huge safety issue and is strictly prohibited on every major coaster I ve ever trained on. I also noticed that when attendants were asking to cross trains, they never waited for the panel operator to acknowledge them. The panel operator should call hands off as a safety measure. ALSO. A supervisor had to cross on one ride, so they didn t ask for permission to cross and then climbed over guests. Last thing, on the dino ride, there were toddlers allowed to ride who were very clearly too short. They were even allowed to ride in their parents s lap in a seat that appeared to be made to seat a maximum of two people. Again, I don t know their SOP, but I was concerned. The worst was that half these operators were leads and some were even supervisors. They should know better. If I was the panel operator and my attendants were operating like these operators , I would call the ride down for safety. Full stop.

When the restraints were being checked there was a lot of times the seatbelt wasn t checked. And there were times where the ride ops just pat my restraint it was not a push down pull up so I double checked my restraints all the time. I told a supervisor about it and she basically said that there was nothing she can do which as a guest I feel like that is very concerning. The customer service was kinda ok everyone was friendly at times you had some workers just look so sad like they don t want to be there but overall the rides were fun.

I want to share my unpleasant experience at Six Flags Over Texas, which ruined my birthday. The park itself is great, but what happened at the entrance was just awful. I had bought tickets online in advance, received them by email, and thought everything was set for a great day. However, when I arrived at the park, I was not allowed in because my account was blocked, as they considered my foreign credit card to be a fraud. I was shocked, as $200 had already been charged from my card. When I tried to speak with the manager, he said there was nothing he could do, that the money would not be refunded, and I could not use the tickets I had. The only option offered was to buy new tickets on the spot. Despite having all my documents with me, I was told I would need to wait about a week for a decision on my account. I was not notified of the account block before arriving at the park, and I only found out about it when I got there. It was a complete shock and disappointment on such an important day for me.

Visited Six Flags Over Texas recently and had a fantastic time! The park offers a great mix of thrilling rides, family-friendly attractions, and entertaining shows. Highlights included the exhilarating coasters like the Titan and the classic Batmobile ride. The park is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food options were decent, though a bit pricey, and the lines for some of the popular rides could be quite long, especially during peak hours. Parking was convenient, but it s a good idea to arrive early to get a spot close to the entrance. Overall, it s a fun destination for a day of adventure and entertainment. I d definitely recommend it for families and thrill-seekers alike!

Had a great time, but the food service staff, and select ride staff, used up a lot of time. After going on fun rides, the main setback was the food staff. At each one there was an issue, either running out of cups/beverages, or slow staff at the expensive chicken sandwich spot, giving orders to incorrect people. One staff member waited as the beverage sat to fulfill the rest of the order. While the park is fun, the Unprofessional staff members (not all) take away from the experience. Either come for the rides, or the subpar food. There isnt enough time for both.

I went on a Tuesday and the park opened at 11am. When we entered the park, it took them more than an hour to start the rides, they said the park was having electrical problems and someone let it slip that they didnt open the rides at 11am due to the low number of people. All the time the rides closed, I couldnt go at all, because several times when I was on my daughter the roller coaster closed and then I lost that time and went to another one. This happened twice and I couldnt go. Theres another one that I was sitting in the first row of the ride and I simply couldnt go because they claimed it broke when it was my turn. Very bad. The ticket is cheap, but parking is ridiculously expensive, but more expensive than the ticket itself. I thought I would be able to go to all the rides when I saw the park was closing and I didnt know many of them. That one hour we lost to open the toys was not replaced. I left disappointed!!!

Overall, my experience was good, but I had two major issues. First, the staffs customer service is very poor. This is what separates places like Disneyland from establishments like this. The customer service definitely needs improvement. It ended up costing me money because I purchased the Unlimited All-Day Dining pass, but none of the staff knew how it worked. They didn t want to honor it, and it was such a fight embarrassing, to say the least! The second issue was with the Photo Package. I bought it, but no one took our picture! Only the big rides had photographers, and the internet on the website was so slow that by the time I tried to download it to my phone, the photo was gone! Definitely not worth the money. This place has so much potential and room for major improvements. Its a shame because it could be something great!

My brother and I have been going to Six Flags Over Texas for over 15 years, having held the original season passes and now the membership. Over the past 4 years it has done nothing but go downhill. Every time we come, something has been unnecessarily changed for the worse. From the constant breaking of major rides if the ride is even open at all that day, to finding constant additional fees from moving from the complementary member bottles to having to pay full price for a season bottle with no one to tell us prior (got yelled at by employees when trying to get water in the member cups), the additional of multiple locations not included in the meal deals, the Speedy Gonzales parking that lasted for all of 6 months before they just made all lanes the Speedy Gonzales. Additionally, the removal of all parks from the season pass (advertised as $70) with that caveat only being in very fine print and no way to change your home park is ridiculous. To add this all parks feature it is an additional $120 for a total of $190 before tax to have access to what we used to get for $70 annually. And obviously the constant changing of pass levels (season pass, gold, platinum, platinum plus, diamond, and now gold and prestige) is beyond ridiculous. But for charging this much now, the quality (at least at this location) has truly deteriorated. At this most recent visit, we tried to use the $19.99 bring a friend that was attached to my pass as a coupon so my friend could get a ticket (she spent the $70 for a pass but the home is set at another location and apparently there s no way to change it at all even as a one-time fee) and customer service required us to buy it on our phones instead of through them and then when we did so and tried to use it 2 minutes later they said it wasn t valid and had been used already?! The website and app are also not well designed and confusing to navigate for me so I can t imagine what it s like for someone new. To be honest coming here is an exercise in frustration at every turn and I would definitely NOT recommend coming here for a day pass or as a new member because it truly is not worth it anymore.

UPDATE: The chat on the website and phone # are not good points of contact but whoever handles the Google reviews is good about responding. Called to find out what food places are included in meal pass as it says participating restaurants only. Phone call says to chat live as there are no live people on phone. After going through AI and they couldnt help - waited 1hr30mins as it was transferring to a live person. Still no response. They could just put the list on the website liked they used to and save everyone the hassle. They used to have the list online several years ago.
