This business gave me the best wedding reception I could have ever asked for. The room was beautiful with wall to wall windows with a view and the food and service was amazing. One waitress gave attentive service to my newlywed wife and we had an amazing time. They even accommodated a few extra guests for us with no problem.

We were really excited to try this place based on the pictures and reviews. We were extremely disappointed. When we arrived there was no hostess at the stand so we waited for 5 or 10 minutes. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, however our service was very, very slow and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. The food prices are that of a high end steakhouse and the food does not even come close. We had a private executive dinner planned there in a private room and after that experience we have moved to another restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This is strictly a brunch review - dinner may be phenomenal. As a breakfast/brunch stop, this was very lacking. I got an omelette with bacon. The omelette was so flavorless. The toppings I chose were not abundant or well mixed in. It was more like unseasoned, boxed scrambled eggs. The bacon was cooked well, but also flavorless. The star wouldve been the breakfast potatoes but those were just average and also I had about 5 on my plate.

First of all, Shane [sic] is the man. The whole service team is incredible, but they made two hours and change of dining seamless, inviting, and accommodating. Now, on to food. Crabcakes and scallops are really wonderfol. The gremolata under the scallops was a great pairing, and the crabcakes were soft, full of crab, and delicious. I was the only one drinking (drinking for three that night), so a negroni and then some cava paired well with these. The Brussels sprouts were really tasty, having a crispy outside to them. I thought the salt was a bit low on them, but they were firing on most cylinders that night. The tomahawk is a must. Its really shareable with three, but those who might have fasted could kill it with two (40 oz of meat likely isnt recommended for two, though, so plan for leftovers tacos or something if its just you and someone else or, you cad, just you. Our pic has some juice on the plate. If you dont order your steak medium rare or rarer, just go to Wal-Mart and buy beef jerky. Dominus accompanied the steak. To finish, we had a carrot cake that Shane *insisted* was out of this world. I argued with him about ordering this when there were other things like salt, or crackers, or (even more stimulating) salted crackers, that I could eat that would be more interesting than carrot cake. He insisted, and . . . Ill be damned. It was delicious. Kudos all around to this place, particularly for the *complimentary valet parking* offered. Parking: Complimentary valet, but remember to get it validated.

The best part of this restaurant was its convenience. Quality of food did not match the cost. Charcuterie board left a lot to be desired. The salmon was dry and the sides were large in proportion but lacked flavor. My husband had the ribeye and surprisingly enjoyed it. Wine and bourbon selections were average. The environment was okay for a hotel restaurant. Definitely not a fine dining experience. Our server was very sweet and attentive however, for what you ll spend here I would suggest a steak house. I would not go back.

Don t waste your time or money. Our food took forever to come out (it wasn t busy). Our steaks were extremely dry. The sides were poorly seasoned. When we went our steak back, the second one was just as bad. Not a single manager came to talk to us about it. Nothing was compensated. And to top it all off, our gratuity and taxes was 1/3 of our bill! This was not worth it AT ALL. Take your business else where.

Ambiance was quiet and intimate. The food was great for dinner but for breakfast it was ok. Be aware that the chilaquiles is served with cold refried beans, and the eggs Benedict were pretty average. The service was my least favorite and honestly could have turned this rating to more of a 5 Star rating. No one that serviced us, greeted us or even smiled. They did not look happy to be working or maybe just not happy to service us. One of our waiters look disheveled and incredibly unhappy. We were served coffee mugs and had to wait at least 5 min to be served actual coffee. This may be considered fine dining but the service was NOT. I would highly recommend training for a more interpersonal experience.

For dessert we shared a scrumptious cheesecake. It was plenty for 4 of us since we were so full from dinner. The waiter was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was spectacular! While I only had breakfast, it was very bland, overcooked, and overpriced. Bar is good for a drink but I would not eat here again. Way too pricey for the average food and below-average service. Our small group was seated by the kitchen at a high table that caused my back to bake all night next to the heat lamps. The service was slow, spotty, and aloof. She mumbled, was too casual, and hardly stopped by to check on us. We ordered cocktails that were overpriced at $18, a beer was $14, and a glass of average Cabernet was $19. We next ordered the Seafood Platter (dont order the Seafood Platter!). It was a sampler of various items (6 raw oysters, 4 jumbo prawns, 2 minute lobster tails, some crabmeat, and some tuna tartare). But mostly, it was a big tower of beautifully-displayed crushed ice. $135! Next came the salads, dripping in dressing! The iceberg wedge was missing tomatoes. For entrees, we had a Filet ($56), NY Strip ($64), and a Cowboy Ribeye ($95). Average at best, all charred and tasted slightly burned and very expensive! The desserts were delicious, but we ordered a Crème Brûlée to go and they just slopped it on a plate so that it ran everywhere. How about putting it in a cup or different container!? The atmosphere is quite casual for these prices and you watch Rangers fans and hotel guest in bathing suits walking past the windows. So, I would not recommend this place because so many of the little details added up to a sub-par experience. Its just an over-priced and over-rated hotel steakhouse.

Artisan bread was good too but their main dish was terrible. I wouldnt visit here again.

This place is incredible! First night we got steak, chicken, mashed potatoes all were really delicious. We started with an arugula salad with watermelon, corn and a hibiscus vinaigrette which sounded odd but was seriously delish! Next we got late night food took up to our room the burgers and wings were perfect! Staff is phenomenal. We also had breakfast there twice. Really great spot

The atmosphere and ambiance was calm and felt high end. Our server, Patrick (like Spongebob) was amazing! By far one of the best servers my family as had in a long time. He was knowledgable, attentive, and his personality was on point. He should definitely be the standard, not the exception. The food and drinks were beyond delicious! Yeah, its pricy, but you will not be disappointed! For an appetizer, we ordered the Tuna tartare tower. It was recommend by our server, Patrick. It was spectacular! We almost ordered another one! For our meal, we ordered the Tomahawk steak with Chimichurri sauce, exotic mushrooms, mac & cheese and French French. The portions were large and shareable. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and paired so well with the Chimichurri sauce. The cook also offered to sliced it up for us. Overall, it was such a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Beef tartare was awesome...creamy and very flavorful. 28 day aged Bone-In Ribeye was delicious! (Prices are different from website to actual menu by $20+ dollars) Wifey had the lamb chops with creamy mash potatoes with veges. It was delicious as well. Great experience overall!

The waitress was great! The oyster Rockefeller and the bacon slab were great. Once the food came out i realized my steak was extremely over cooked. I ordered medium well and it was charred. I believe it was the manager who came over and he tried to argue with me that it wasn t and it had to do with the pepper that they used to cook it. He offered to remake it but it took an hour for my food to come out so i declined. He didn t offer to take it off my bill and just left it at that. I am a pregnant disabled veteran so it took a lot to get me out of the house and i could have done without this experience.

As a first timer, I couldnt have been more pleasantly surprised. The welcome was friendly at the front desk and our service professional, Nikkia, was sensational. Friendly, keen, professional, and knowledgeable... what more could I ask for? The food was perfectly cooked by every metric and standard the flavors and textures were to die for. Hyper hospitality at its peak. Charley, the manager, even went above and beyond to help make our experience a memorable one. Of course, well be back and Im sure you will be too once you make the smart choice for your next night out or gathering. Thank you Cut and Bourbon for a lovely evening.

This was an amazing dining experience. The wait staff was well dressed, polite, and informative. We had some Buffalo Trace Bourbon which was pretty good. We started with the oysters with mignonette sauce and the lamb meatballs. Both were so good. The meatballs had a kick. If you like spicy then these are for you. We then had the surf and turf with the demonico cooked medium rare with the chimichurri sauce. SO DAMN GOOD!!!! We were literally making yummy sounds. I had the scallops which were uh-maze-ing and my friend had the lobster. The lobster was perfectly fluffy. Most places cant cook it and its chewy. The potatoes and veggies were also wonderful. Then we got the 12 layer carrot cake with cranberries and candied pecans. Everything was so good. All praise no cons and FULL LIKE TICK from all the delicious food.

We came to Cut & Bourbon to try theTexas Eggs Benedics because we were intregued by the description try the breakfast smoked brisket, chipotle hollandaise, breakfast potatoes. We were disappointed. If you dont know how to poach and egg, shouldnt be serving Eggs Benedict. I had to send mine back because the best part to me is the droppings from a warm runny yolk, and the Hollandaise Sauce. The sauce had no taste of chipotle or even the basic taste of a tangy lemony flavor. The 2nd time around the yolk was runny but the egg white wasnt completely cooked. I wasnt about to send my food back a 3rd time and critique my breakfast like Gordon Ramsey and throw the plate on the floor! The breakfast potatoes were just that, dry potatoes with catsup on the side. I dont eat typically eat catsup, but I could have since the Hollandaise Sauce was lacking in flavor. The English Muffin was not toasted. The brisket had a smokey flavor but was sliced so thin it lacked in quantity. A single bite of this item was disappointing with a doughy bite. The service was up to par so that would be the only positive on this visit plus the Complimentary Parking. The price of this entire was $20 each. A garnish of a couple strawberries would of been nice. If, and I say IF I dined here again I would SKIP the Texas Eggs Benedics!

This was the saving grace of staying at Live by Leows. We were able to have a walk in early dinner our last night in the hotel. The service was good. The portions were generous, so be careful what you order for sides because they are family style. We had a manager stop by our table and check on us after we had some shell left in our oysters. The food was good, better than good, it was great. We had oysters, and a tuna tower (which I highly recommend) as appetizers. Then we moved into the main course. I had the delmonico, medium rare, with exotic mushroom (local yellow oyster, king oyster, blue oyster mushrooms mixed with your standard mushroom) and a three cheese mac & cheese. The steak was really nice, but it needed another minute on the fire. Once I got to the thicker end of the steak, it was rare. The mushrooms were good but needed to be cooked with less oil. Oysters mushrooms taste way better cooked with a little butter and crisper. The mac & cheese was pretty good. They sprinkled bread crumbs on top, which I love. I just wished they would have thrown it under a broiler for 30 seconds to toast the bread crumbs on the Mac & cheese. My wife had the lobster, scallop, prawn, scampi, which was huge. It came with toasted bread, and she ordered the brussel sprouts. Again, not realizing these were family size. So we had a lot of food. I have never had a scampi in a tomato base. We were both surprised when they brought it to the table. We were expecting a normal butter based sauce on sautéed scallops, prawns and the lobster tail. It was good though. The scallops and lobster were about 30 seconds over cooked. They were just on the verge of being chewy. They were good, and she enjoyed them. The manager comped us a carrot cake dessert for the bits of shell in the oysters, which they delivered to our room. The carrot cake was amazing! Check our the pictures! Would I go back??? Yes! I would definitely go back, and ask more questions about the menu items before ordering to manage my expectations. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

A late lunch after a productive day is always welcomed. In the area and decided to try Cut & Bourbon inside the Live by Loews Hotel. The restaurant was closed for dining until 5pm but the option to order from the bar was available. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was pretty good and the Ora King Salmon was delectable. Dining options included the bar, a cozy table in the bar area, on the patio and of course the restaurant. The restaurant has the appearance of an upscale dining. While there seemed to be a convention going on, there wasn t a huge crowd in or around the bar perfect timing Although Cut & Bourbon s dining room was closed upon arrival, the bar experience was enjoyable. There was a beautifully decorated photo area across from the bar to capture the moment. Valet parking is available.

This place is incredible. Wife and I started with cocktails - Monkey Business and the Old Fashioned made with Elijah Craig. Our appetizer was the incredible artisan bread with house butter. We shared the 28 day aged prime cowboy cut bone in rib-eye, with the mixed vegetables and Yukon gold potatoes followed by cheesecake for dessert. Everything was so delicious and our waitress Lauren guided us through the menu and was the perfect amount of attentive. All the staff from the hostess to the person refilling our water were very polite and ensured we had a great time. Can t wait to come back soon!

My experience was disappointing. First of all, some menus items were not available. It took more than 15 minutes to learn that I needed to substitute the delmonico for the filet steak that I originally ordered. The steak and the prawns were over cooked. It came out room temp, instead of hot. Surf and turf is expensive which is fine, but I expected it to be cooked to perfection,I have to say the server was polite. When the waiter tells you, youll get extra anything for their short comings, you know youre not getting what you paid for. I would think twice about coming back.

They talk about southern hospitality he has it for sure. Share life store and made a new friend. When I m back in town I will be coming back to him. Also got the carrot cake. Which I normally am not a fan of. Based on his recommendation got it. BEST carrot cake I have ever had. Be prepared you might need multiple people to finish it. Thank you to the staff that took great care of us. Side note if they are busy you will need to be passionate. But in the end it is completely worth it!!!!

We made reservations to enjoy a nice dinner here after a game this past weekend. Texas Live has an atmosphere that is usually a little more hectic than we prefer so immediately we were happy with the calmer classier feel to this hotel/ restaurant. Live band playing music- not too loud was nice. Servers at this restaurant all dress very nice- greet you by name and conduct themselves professionally- a welcome change from several places we have been lately. A few pieces of feedback- They were out of the bourbon my husband ordered. Four Roses small batch. Featured on the menu but out. Readily available in liquor stores so they could have had it but didn t. The food- I ordered the salmon and have never had salmon taste so fishy. Salmon is one of my favorite dishes so when this time it was literally impossible to enjoy; that was disappointing. I will say the black rice on the plate was delicious and the best and basically only thing I ate. Our server was professional and polite. We enjoyed ourselves, but for $165 nobody should go home hungry. - salmon- don t recommend - Brussels sprouts- don t recommend - atmosphere- great -service- great - steak- good.. order it cooked less than you prefer - they ll over cook it. The salmon came home and was fed to the animals. Will return here again but just for cocktails - then dinner somewhere else.

A very expensive joke of a restaurant. The menu is priced at the highest end of upscale steakhouses. $70 for a ribeye. Given the decor and the overall feel of the restaurant, I was looking forward to a great meal. This was not to be. It took an hour for our food to arrive after ordering it. Of our party of 15, about half ordered steak. They were all overcooked. The steaks were not high quality either. They were thin and tough. I ve literally had better steak at Chili s. A restaurant of this price point really should be the best. The best food, and the best service. Cut and Bourbon failed so miserably on both. Our waitress did ok, but the manager and kitchen were so bad that they should be embarrassed.

My daughter had planned a birthday dinner and she made two reservations through their website. She needed to update the reservation the day before and called several times to get no answer. When we got to the restaurant they had one table for us and we waited over 45 minutes for the second table. Our second table was far way from our first table. They have a long table that seats 12 people that was occupied when we first got there. As we waited for the rest of our party to be seated. The service was slow. Slow to get water, slow to get drinks, very slow to even just check in on us. The party at the long table that seated 12 got up to leave. One of the gentleman noticed I had on a Happy Birthday crown. He came over to wish me Happy Birthday and asked what are you drinking. I told him we haven t been waited on and we were waiting for the rest of our party to be seated. I also added that his table would be perfect for our party and that we had inquired about it. He wanted to see if he could help us and went to speak with the manager on duty Hillonnia. She told him know. He felt so bad for us, he then put money towards our bill. After, things picked up very little. The manager was rude, wait staff was slow, and the food was awful. I felt like we were discriminated against. We were a large party of black people. There was one other black couple at the back of the restaurant and there were no other people of color in the restaurant and our bill was over $1000.00. I called the next day and the manager that I spoke with said he would try to win back our business. Needless to say I have to to hear back from him. MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND WILL NOT SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN!
