Great selection of seafood at a reasonable price. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. They have a pump filled with ketchup and tartar sauce, and theyre both cold, a nice touch. The serving size is really large for the price.

Is the fish Swai? The food quality is horrible. The hush puppies were rock hard and the fish was disgusting. Like what even is it? Tasted like I was eating a filet wrapped in plastic. The only good things about my food were the fries and tartar sauce. This was my 3rd trip to The Catch over the course of 4 months and the food has gotten progressively worse. I m sorry but I will not be returning. Also, what s up with the cooks wearing hoodies and sunglasses while making our food?

I placed an order at this establishment over a month ago! My order was incorrect with I picked it up. Once I made it to my destination I realized my order was incorrect. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with a manager on duty named Emily. She quickly apologized and stated that she would write in their book for my order to be given to me correctly. I do not live in the area this restaurant is located in. I explained to her the next time I was in the area, I would redeem my meal. I called the restaurant today and was told, in spite of giving the name of the manager I spoke with and explaining the situation that I was not listed in the book and insinuated that I was lying. He then proceeds to ask me for the card number that I purchased my meal with. Seriously I have well over 8 cards I could have used to place that order. This was told to me by the General Manager. I have been ordering from this establishment for more than two years when in the area and have not ever had a problem. This was absolutely ridiculous. The level of disrespect. You will lose a long time customer over a less than $20 meal. Why would I lie about something so minuscule! I will not be dining here again.

The fish was very nasty! It was seasoned pretty good but it was mushy and soggy I was like Very disappointed for 58$ I was better off going to Long John s Silver! The CATCH -Arlington sucks and I will never come back to eat there it only takes 1 time to mess my meal up! Great seafood spot in West Arlington, just off I-20. My wife just had some cheesy grits which she liked. We shared a fried green tomato app and they were really good - hot and crispy. I had fried jumbo shrimp and they were nice large shrimp. Great staff. Cailin, the bartender served us and she was a perfect bartender/waitress. We will go again.

Excellent food, had gumbo and fish tacos. Their gumbo is the best I ve had in the DFW and it s not even close!. Mahi Mahi tacos great as well. It was so nice to catch a Rangers game over dinner in the bar. Flawless, friendly service from Gwen! Even though they were busy, she made my 2nd visit to The Catch memorable!

I was searching for a healthier option besides fried catfish and Google sent me to The Catch in Arlington. I am sooooo glad it did! I ordered 2 to-go orders of grilled white fish, vegetables, and fried okra. The girl on the phone was very pleasant. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was surprised to find a plain building without much pizzazz, but there seemed to be a steady stream of customers. Evidently, they all knew about this amazing restaurant long before my friend Google sent me there. The place was clean and there were patrons happily chatting at the tables. Anywho, the girl behind the counter was very nice and gave me my order right away. I was in a hurry, so darted out the door and drove to my friends house. Upon arriving at my friends, and saying our hellos, we sat down and opened the to-go boxes to see what was causing the wonderful aromas filling up the kitchen. Oh my goodness, what heavenly food awaited us! There were 2 large grilled pieces of white fish laying on a huge bed of rice, a heaping pile of sautéed vegetables, 2 hushpuppies, and another container filled to the brim with fried okra! We dug in and didnt stop until every single morsel was gone! It was all delicious! Next time Im in Arlington, I hope to return to The Catch so I can try other menu items. Im thinking this restaurant should be renamed The Splendid Catch!

You wont be blown away by anything here but if youre feeling some seafood and you dont want to go to a stuffy sit down place this place is right up your alley. We haven t been here in months because the last time the fried fish was mushy, batter and all and the portions were much smaller. Gave it one more try, 20 minutes after ordering I had to go up and ask about my order, part came in a couple minutes but my wife had to wait 6 -7 more minutes for her order, and the shrimp I ordered never came, went up to counter again and they were going to get it out 10 minutes later we are done eating and no shrimp. I went up to get my money back and the manager said we have call I orders and are busy, the place had 5-6 tables, and we were there, not just a phone in order finally, she couldn t refund my money and supposedly the general manager will call me tomorrow to process the refund. Not holding my breathe on that one. Also, sad, this was our favorite fish place.i will say the fried fish was much better but the service and lack of caring makes this a zero!

My order took over 30 minutes to receive. The cooks were too busy engaged with the front of the house, and if you like the wait staff waving a fly swatter over your food in the pass, when it s finally done, this place is for you. Also be prepared to pay quite a bit of money for very small portions, if you get a complete order at all. This specific location is absolutely awful.

They charge you almost $2 to USE YOUR credit card. I think after paying nearly $50 for food why should the customer pay for their cc machine? AND they EXPECT you to read ALL the signs at the register to find out. One bright side is the young lady offered to refund my credit card so that I could pay in cash. I gave the service two stars because: while it may be posted in small print at the bottom of the register; it should also be stated as soon as they know you are using a credit card. Besides, who is reading every sign in the place....

My food was nasty as hell. 0 seasoning & it was missing shrimp. When i asked the girl otp if i could add crawfish she said, unfortunately we are out of crawfish entirely but even if we did have them you wouldn t be able to add it. A simple we re out for the season would ve sufficed. When i got there it appeared as no one wanted to check me out so we all just sat there looking stupid for a few minutes. 2/10

Its crazy that I had almost an hour wait time. As a Dasher for a order that was already placed and paid for and should have been ready. The fact that I walked in the store and customers that have just barely ordered got the food before I got my dash speaks volumes of this place. And I think Ive learned my lesson the other two to three times that Ive come here in the same has happened. But I know for a fact this will be my last time picking up a dash from this and I feel so bad for customers that order from this because I know they wait long periods of time to get their food and thats ridiculous when theyve already paid and the people that come in and sit down and eat have yet to pay and they get their orders way before mobile orders do. This is my last time coming to this place. My sister and I order 2 large Catfish and Shrimps. They brought us Swai, they charged an extra 3.25 for Catfish(paid it). I requested they make the whole order over because we dont want hot fish and cold shrimps and fries. At first the young man(I guess the manager) was saying he wasnt going to be able to do that until I asked for my refund. He was like he would rather keep us as a customer than for us to leave unhappy. I asked would everything come out hot and fresh and he assured me it would. We order 1 pound of crab, 1/2 of shirmp and fries. The only thing warm was the shirmp. The seasoning got sprinkled over the food just before it came out. So only the food on top had any. Update from the previous five star review!!!! It is consistently hard to place to go orders over the phone. 02/17 I attempted to place a to go order, and the young woman who answered the phone told me she will place me on hold for ten minutes because they are busy. 02/21 my order was missing the French fries. 02/22 Again I attempted to place a simple to go order, and was met with a laugh, and I ll put you on a quick hold. After several minutes I called back five times while I was en route there, with no answer. I walked in the restaurant that barely had any customers in it. Again my order was incomplete/incorrect. I notified a gentleman who was at the front counter, and mentioned you got it wrong yesterday, and again today, this is my last visit. He stated he understood. It s frustrating, maybe I m a sucker for punishment. I m sure they will not care, but thank you The Catch, this is my last meal of purchase. The service for some reason has suffered!!!!!

I ordered a large catfish and shrimp, one extra piece of fish and a grilled shrimp dinner. Unfortunately, the catfish tasted like swai, it was very thin and appeared clear. I received the regular catfish dinner with 3 shrimp & 1 piece of fish, along with the rest of the order. When I called to let them know that my order was inaccurate, the person that I spoke too didnt seem to understand that I only received 2 pieces of fish instead of 3 and 3 shrimp instead of 4. After this lengthy back and forth, they finally said that they would GIVE me a free piece of fish the next time i come in.....EXCUSE me, but how are you going to GIVE me something FREE that I ALREADY PAID FOR & didnt receive. Beware of up charges on credit card!! Although the register has disclaimer in very small print and on the receipt after you have already paid the up charges of 3.5%. And of course NO ONE points that out so you can decide if you want to pay cash at the time youre being rang up. I hate paying for you to use a secure server. I drove 30 minutes in the rain to get to this location. The African American female just stood there and looked at me then walked off. Ordered the food for delivery and the catfish was way undercooked. Items were missing and the catfish was not eatable and was falling apart. Very poor quality in the cooking of the meal and portions were not correct. This was very poor service for the amount paid for the meal.

I ordered the Lunch Popcorn Shrimp and a Large Drink. I waited 35 minutes for my order & finally had to get up & go get it. I did not even get the traditional Sorry bout that. Wont be back. 2nd time it happened. Everyone that was with me was finished when I finally got my food. Lousy service.

The staffs great at this place. The food is on the upper side of mediocre, to pretty good. It wasnt too highly priced, relative to anything else these days. I sat at the bar, and the lady working the bar was very attentive and friendly. Sounds like they should be getting four or five stars, right? No. Unfortunately, I had to live the waking nightmare of meeting the owner. He is probably the most arrogant person I have ever met in my entire life. I guess because he owns a restaurant, he thinks hes something special? Im just speculating. He basically just butted into our conversation, and just had to tell us how wrong we were about anything and everything. Hes one of those guys that thinks hes extremely intelligent, but in reality, hes just too dumb to realize how unintelligent he is. He is so arrogantly and confidently wrong in just about everything he says. I know that just about everyone who has the displeasure of having to talk to him gets a good laugh at him, but its just frustrating when youre trying to have a conversation with friends who happen to know what they are talking about. Yes, Dumb and Dumber was a pretty funny movie back in the day, but I dont want to experience the real life Lloyd while Im having a conversation over lunch. I truly feel for the extremely nice staff who have to suffer through his presence everyday. So I do recommend the restaurant, but only if you call first to verify the owner isnt going to be there.

The place was hopping around the Bar. I asked the server at the counter if the New England Chowder was actually New England Style, he said he didn t know, I asked him to find out if NE style that s creamy . He came back, advised yes it was. I placed order 2 NE Chowders, 2 Orders of white fish with shrimp.with 2 extra sided large green beans and slaw. All to go. We ate our fish plates first. The whitefish could been cooked little longer. Most of time is perfectly done. The Shrimp was perfectly cooked. Slaw very Good.. Afterwards I thought I try the NE clam chowder before putting it up. Highly disappointed for It s wad not NEw England Style . It s greasy, buttery not creamy. Big waste of $16. I called to double check if this was New England Style, I asked the Manager, then inquired about the style of chowder they are serving . I told her what I got was not New England style clam Chowder. Her response was I will pass that along.. my response was seriously that s it? I will not be going back to The Catch.

Ordered 2 shrimp and whitefish dinners asked if the clam chowder was creamy. See attached photo it is extremely greasy tastes nasty. Called to speak with the manager and all she said was she would report it. Told her we would never order there again and she said ok that is your choice. We have ordered from here frequently and tonight the fish was undercooked the manager didn t car. What poor customer service my next post is on Nextdoor so all nearby neighborhoods will know what kind of service and food to expect from this location.

My family has been ordering from them since they opened and they have gone way down hill. Today I ordered through doordash and they removed one of the meals from my order without attempting to call me first. When I called, the woman that answered kept repeating that they had given me a refund after I asked why I didnt get a call. I didnt want a refund, I wanted food, even if it meant substituting an item in my original order. When I got the remainder of the food. The corn wasnt cooked and the lemon included in the crab still had produce stickers on it

I ordered the catfish dinner with shrimp, green beans, gumbo, and sweet tea. Im always looking for a good seafood place. I was a little disappointed today. The food was hot but the fish, shrimps were a little spicy but no seasoning tasted. The gumbo did not have seasoning as well. The tea and green beans were great. For the amount of money spent, I expected much better. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends or family.

Manager Toni came to phone says food is fresh but he has no control with Uber driver . Casual dining food is good and a little pricey but its made to order and served hot. Parking: 20 spaces in front and about the same on all sides of the building with outside dining as well Kid-friendliness: Kids love it because everything is fried and tastes good with Ketchup.
