My very first time was amazing the atmosphere is chill and the employees are a vibe am not from Texas or Memphis and they made me feel like I m at home so yes it is a 10 out of 10 and it was really worth the price we paid and like I said I m all the way from MISSISSIPPI and I had an amazing experience and time so yes I will definitely be back

Waited 20 minutes trying to flag down a bartender but they kept acting like they didnt see me and my homegirl. Baby the bartenders made a drink for themselves and threw them back. Having them a good old time and we still couldnt get one. I paid to get in there but it was so bad I didnt even care about that money and just left

Wish I could give this place a 0. Got there at 7pm after work. Certain alcohol selections were not available. They were waiting for someone to bring the liquor. The kitchen was not open. Was told it would open at 8pm. It did not open until 9pm. We were also told they have a different menu than what was in front of us. Never received that. The waitress never came back to inform us the kitchen was open. We finally got to order around 10pm. The food came out cold. We should have just went right next door to Pappadeaux. Trying to patronize an establishment is hard when they slack at running it properly. Terrible experience. I wouldnt recommend anyone to go to this place. If you go, its advisable to go after 10pm. Perhaps the kitchen will be open and there will be a wider variety of drinks.

Destiny is the best I have seen in a long time. Me and my girl came around 6 on a rainy day and we was the only one in the building and she made us a strong drink. She even went out her way to give us the best customer service!!!! Definitely recommend this place. Very nice grown and sexy vibe

This place is a vibe. Me and my friend came in yesterday (Wednesday). The drinks were good the food was amazing and the vibe was even better. On Wednesday they offer a line dance class. Destiny was very friendly and she did an amazing job with the drinks. Sincere was the cook, and let me just the food was beyond amazing. I don t want the food unless she in the kitchen. That s just how good it was! I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone!!

Loved this spot! Loved the grown and sexy vibe! Food was delicious and they gave you plenty!! The drinks were on point, not watered down! Hookahs were on point! DJ was awesome! The service was a little slow once they got packed, but they made up for it with their awesome customer service! Definitely will be going back!! I have found one of my go-to spots!!!

Nice Quaint place to eat, lounge, and have a nice time. Attended a birthday party here and it was great. Recommendation I can say is have the live band perform 1st and then do the dj. Starting with the Dj and then love band threw off the mood for a bit bc the dj was straight jamming and kept the people on the floor. Or have them on last to cool down the house for quiting time. Also having more bartenders on the weekend. Nice establishment off the main highway with easy access. Bathrooms were nice as well. Food was good.

We stopped in because we heard it was a good place to have a drink and listen to live music however there was no music once the band went on break. There was one waitress it took 30 minutes for someone to take our order. We waited 30 more minutes before we decided to just leave do to not receiving our drinks and poor service.

Went for the first time yesterday and the place looked like it was going to be a good vibe and even had a band that was setting up to perform. Went to where the bar was to order a drink and sat there for about 20 minutes while both the bartenders walked by me not even with a greeting or saying that they would be with me in a sec. So I decided to leave and take my money elsewhere. Wish I would have gotten a chance to enjoy the place, but it is what it is.

Where do i begin with this place.. I started reaching out on 11/08/2023 for a reservation for my birthday 11/18/2023.. I didnt receive a response until 11/17/2023 at 7:45pm and that person was Gray.. I ask was there anything I needed to do.. He never discussed if I needed food or drinks. So my guest arrived and he stated that i didnt have a reservation and proceeded to tell me that he didnt speak with me.. I have receipts, THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!! Gray is the most disrespectful person and rude. There was another party his attention was completely on that party.. When I brought to his attention he became defensive and said I DONT ARGUE!! Well no one was arguing with him we was wanting to know where was our food and drinks. We had to place our order twice and it took over an hour.. Our WAITRESS went missing. The people that Gray sent to assist was outside in the back smoking WEED!!. This was very disappointing to me because this was my first time visiting and I told Gray that and I drove over a hour and half to visit the establishment.. I really try to support our black own business.. ONE THING I CAN SAY WHEN WE DID GET OUR FOOD IT WAS GOOD and the LIVE MUSIC. Service staff was horrible we heard every excuse of being short staff and that the waitresses are new... I WONT BE BACK!!! I thought this place was going to be MY SPOT to get away relax and listen to good music!! But oh well... Thats all I have to say about it!!! lol SMH!!

My wife and I visited Memphis Live Bar & Grill and we were really looking forward to enjoying some Memphis type food while enjoying our favorite band 4YaSoul. Needless to say, we were highly disappointed. It was open seating and a waitress NEVER came over. We ordered our drink and food at the bar and it took a while to come out. The wings were breaded with sauce and very gummy like. Instead of using a larger container, they bury the fries under the wings. The fish was okay but it was obvious they use the bag fish due to the skin piece left that the frozen bags of fish has. My wife stopped one of the waitress and ask for another drink, the waitress replied, Sure, let me take care of this table first and NEVER came over to take our drink order, so back to the bar I went. No one was stationed at the bar, so I had to wait. When the bartender did return, I realized she was 1 of the 2 waitresses that were on the floor. Overall, the venue is nice, the atmosphere was a nice small crowd, but the service was horrible. My wife and I are from Memphis and want to see other fellow Memphians succeed in the DFW area. We plan to give them another try, but we will eat before going because the food was a 1 out of 10. Hopefully the service is better.

First time experience and I was disappointed! Went for my husband s birthday and the service was terrible. I had to ask for my soda twice it was a coke and when I got it was flat. Then my husband was singing on the mic some chick who was there you can tell she was a regular kept asking for the mic and wouldn t allow others to enjoy. We asked for two different appetizers and they stated they didn t have any ask for an entree on the menu didn t have that either. By far the most inexperienced place I ever been too !!!

The band on Saturday night was supposed to start at 9pm and most of them were not even there yet until 10pm. The waitresses/servers were drinking with customers in the reserved section, smoking hookah, and doing line dances. Food took about an hour to come out just for them to tell our table last minute that they ran out of oxtails, and meatloaf. I ordered catfish which was good, but the fries lacked salt. Also the food was served with paper cups, plastic silver ware, and baskets. No actual plates or actual cups. They don t have enough servers at this establishment to serve the capacity of people and it seemed like everything was extremely disorganized for them to tell us an hour later what food they ran out of. Also its not worth it see the band because they sang like 4 songs, then they said they would be taking a break for a minute ( which turned out to be a whole hour of them fooling around) they walked off the stage and started smoking hookah, some had dates they met at the bar. They did sound good for the 4 songs they did but we in the audience were not happy really because they took a whole hour to get there when it was supposed to start at 9pm. Mind you we got there around 9pm and thats when we ordered our food, which we didnt get until like 10:00pm. There were other tables around where people looked like they had been waiting a long time to eat and they just walked out. Oh the last thing I didn t like was the servers were serving the reserved sections their food/hookahs/drinks first. Even though we were seated in a non-reserved first. We got our food last which is horrible customer service and also the reason I think they didn t have enough food for our order. It definitely appears to me that the servers knew some of the people in the reserved section as they kept constantly going to those sections more than the general seating areas. So general seating gets served the least. Also parking isn t good so come early if you dare. Not worth it for the 3 months they been open. And this is why I am skeptical to try black owned businesses nowadays. The lack of customer service here is atrocious. I don t see them lasting long at all.

This was a very cool spot. The waiter we had was very attentive. He was coming over constantly, making sure we were taken care of. They had the games on that we wanted to see. It was just a pretty good atmosphere. The other customers were also very nice and kind. We will definitely be back here for game night. We went on a Monday night.

Finally a place to go and relax that is up to my speed. The food is amazing, the drinks are great. And the atmosphere is very chill and relaxed. Make sure to ask for Kandi, she is one of the best waitress there and will make sure you have everything you need while you are there. This is the new go to spot if you are in the area. If you re looking for a spot to have a great bday dinner, then look no further and reserve a few tables.

Made online reservation and informed security upon arrival and he looked clueless as to what I was saying. Was seated right away as it was not crowded at all for a saturday night. Maybe 9 tables out of 30 occupied. The décor and set up are nicely done. We asked for a menu and was told to scan QR code. It wouldn t work on our phones so waitress named Jayda used her phone. We asked for a physical menu and was told they don t have any. Asked for wine and was told no wine. Asked for the Hookah menu and was told they didn t have one. I asked for blueberry mint and was told they don t have that flavor. Asked for drink menu and was told they don t have one. QR code only showed us the few happy hour drinks from website. It wasn t happy hour. So we went with basic drinks. Ordered food. 1 catfish plate, 1 grilled wings and 1 fried sweet Teriyaki wings. Waited almost 45 minutes and fish finally arrives. Not other 2. Jayda comes back to table and said they messed up my grilled wings so I asked where was the other fried wings and her answer was I don t know! Finally received other wings about 10 minutes later. I asked for ranch and was told they don t have ranch. Fish and wings were good. The greens tasted canned and mac n cheese is not baked and just basic. Staff plays around dancing and smoking hookah with security. Asked for a manager and was told he was in kitchen. Never came to table. We ordered more drinks. One drink wasn t made well. It was tart. We sent it back and watched the bartender pour the drink that was sipped on back into the shaker and add ice and was going to reserve same drink. That is not sanitary. A new drink should have been made. Get the bills and 2 of them were wrong. The band was just ok. They were having mic issues. I don t get a Beale street vibe from this place. Maybe for the younger generations this place is nice. Lots of potential but not sure I would visit soon when I come back to town.

I had an amazing time. I went alone to celebrate my birthday. From the security guard to my waitress, the energy and atmosphere was great. The DJ was jamming, I loved it. Sooo let me say that I went to this black owned spot for the Spence fight and when I tell you this place is beautiful, the food the people. Brandon lawson (the owner along side mark gray they are the best, when I tell you they greeted everybody and made sure service was great. I ordered the catfish n cabbage and it was the absolute best . Hands down this is new black owned spot is the place to be . They have something going on all weekend , Sundays don Diego performs msn so much to say .. just go check it out you won t go wrong..

We went here on a Saturday night and found it to have a dope vibe with a trendy aesthetic. The DJ was great, and played a mixture of old and new R&B and Hip Hop hits that kept everyone entertained. The ladies bathroom was clean with cute decor that made for a IG-worthy photo op. The staff were all nice from security to the servers, but there were some opportunities. The drinks were good, but somewhat inconsistent. Fluctuating between amazingand wheres the liquor. I had three during our visit. The food was hit or miss and took way too long to come out. They were out of mac&cheese....how Sway?? That is a B.O.B. Staple dish.....I digress...The wings had great flavor, but some of them were charred...bordering on burnt. The fried oxtails were delish, but the portion size was more like an appetizer and not an entree, and the fried cabbage had amazing seasoning...but were a tad bit salty. The salmon bites were over cooked and the salt once again overshadowed the dish. There were other issues that I should note, we asked for ketchup and napkins but never received during our visit. Lastly, the live entertainment didnt go on until almost 11:30...they closed at 12:30. Im not sure what that was about. But after one pitchy song, it was a No for me dawg, and we were out! In summary, I recommend trying this place out, as there is a lot of potential that could improve with hiring more employees. They are just opening so Im hoping they get it together.

I try to support black businesses, yet most of them, like this one, have disappointed me at every level besides the live band. The customer service from the bar was atrocious. I ordered food, and 45 minutes someone came and informed me they were out of what I ordered, so I settled for another dish. The prices are high, not worth the food. This was a first-time TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time coming to this establishment.
