A very nasty part dirty unkept obviously whoever s in charge of keeping it clean and well groomed has no respect for their job or the citizens of Arlington that pay for it. Very sad place to be and it was scary. I carried my weapon with me. I was attempted mugging or somebody gonna kill me inside the park. Very nasty place. Congratulations City of Arlington,

Great park with great hiking/ training trails. Sort of an urban oasis. The only major downsides are lack of bathrooms, and the lake has a lot of trash on the shore. Oh, and the burrs. The burrs suck. But all in all, the park is very pretty and feels big even though its a pretty small nature preserve. Come in the evening for some gorgeous hilltop sunset views as well. 4 stars.

This park has beautiful ponds and trails. There is catch & release fishing, pets are allowed on a leash, and there are picnic tables. Another great thing are the plants. There are flowers trees, a meadow, and even blackberries and grapes. You can pick them but the best time is in mid June to early July. Overall, this park is a beautiful place with lots of wildlife.

Nice park. It s easy to miss driving past unless you re looking for it. This place is great for trail runs and has a lot of diversity. Some of the trails can be a bit narrow though. Also a great place to spot wildlife; coyotes, rabbits, butterflies, eagles, among others are all common sightings.

I was super excited to come here to fish, as I saw 3 ponds on the map. When I got there it was in okay condition, lots of weeds though. When I got to the biggest pond it looks like there was no fish in it, just turtles, and the overflow was completely dry, it was down about 10 feet. Next I went to the furthest pond, all it was is a algae pit. And it turns out the 3rd pond didn t exist anymore. Come on Arlington, I know you can do better.

Nice and quiet a beautiful with plenty of trails and if you have a fur baby, there are bags for little or big droppings at the trail entrances. There is also a pond where fishing is allowed. On a side note; Make sure you lock up your vehicle and pay attention to your environment. I have been there when it felt like me and my vehicle was being watched. There was a person of questionable motives (definitely not there for working out or walking) and a man who was pretending to fish whilst watching me come down the path. Both parties seemed to be talking to each other on their phones and when passing, because of being within ear shot, the man in the parking area said into his phone, Hes headed your way. I didnt think anything of it until the pretend fisherman got on the phone when I passed him and he said, Hes coming back to you now. And sure enough, when I could see my vehicle the parking lot walker was walking briskly away from my parking space. All this took place in the early afternoon hours, on a weekday and there were only 2 other vehicles besides mine. it might have been nothing and I may have overheard two different conversations that had nothing to do with me or my vehicle but you should always be aware of your surroundings. Happy New Year, Everyone!

Great little nature preserve to feel like youre really out of the city (thought the sounds of cars can still be readily heard). The paths are not at all wheelchair accessible, and most areas are not stroller accessible. I had a great morning walk around the area, and even though wed had several days of dry weather there were still patches of mud, so be aware that if youre going after a rain there will likely be lots of mud (dirt paths). There were some trail indicating arrows, but I found there to be lots of times where I wasnt sure which path an arrow was indicating or if I was still on a dedicated path, but otherwise it was a really great scenic getaway.

Wonderful park! I have been here almost every Saturday for the last 4 months. Great place to go hiking for a mile or so. I love all the different plant scents and animal sounds in the early morning. Ive seen garden snakes, an armadillo, a lil baby skunk, frogs, dragonflies. This place just teems with life. The dirt trails are way better than dead concrete paths in other parks. Preserve looks really nice too. I take a picture of one of the ponds almost every time I go here, I cant help it lol (really should stop tho, I probably have at least a gigabyte worth of pictures and videos at this point). As it is a nature preserve, you arent going to find a restroom or water fountain here, so come prepared! I always go alone, but people bring out their dogs here all the time too. Also if it has rained recently, I would not recommend coming out here unless its to take the short concrete trail to a fishing dock (catch & release only). That mud was not fun!
