My brother, dad and I were in town for a weekend (mainly to watch the Dallas Cowboys on sunday as my dad is a diehard fan). We hopped on Google reviews and Yelp and saw that this place was HIGHLY rated with 500+ aggregate reviews on both platforms so we had to check it out. We hadnt made reservations beforehand so we were slightly concerned that it would be a long wait (arrived around 8pm-ish). Luckily, this particular location is pretty big and the wait wasnt too long at all. Maybe like 10-15 min? We were seated in a booth and looking over the menu, the mexican food looked super authentic. We ordered carne asada, flautas, a grilled steak fajita salad and brisket tacos. Literally 2 minutes after ordering, fresh warm nachos arrived at the table w/ 2 salsas (a red and brown one). I love that we were able to snack on these before the food arrived. The carne asada was probably my fave. The proteins at this resto are cooked really well. We were never asked how we wanted our steak cooked but it just arrived medium rare on the plate (which is perfect). Super juicy, tender and seasoned aggressively. The refried beans were so smooth and the portion sizes were nice and big. We also ordered some of their famous frozen margaritas. Quite strong but very tasty! At the end of our meal we asked our server Ashley to pack our leftover nachos and salsas on the table in a to-go bag for us and she instead came back with a to-go bag full of FRESH, WARM NACHOS with some new salsas for us to take home. This was incredible customer service. The to-go bag also had a clip on it to keep the nachos crispy (I was still snacking on them in the hotel room 2 days later)! All of us were eyeing the hot apple pie w/ ice cream that arrived at a neighbouring table but alas, we were way too full to stomach any dessert lol. Authentic food, amazing service and nice, strong drinks. Definitely a place that lives up to every bit of the hype! Will definitely be back in the future!

We love Mariano s. Their fajitas are absolutely the best in the metroplex, as far as chain restaurants go. It s a bit on the expensive side, but worth it. You get what you pay for. But buyer beware - a top shelf margarita is $26 and their regular margarita was nothing to write home about. If you re looking for good cocktails, go somewhere else.

Im used to a different type of Mexican food. Tex Mex is not my thing, but may be what someone else likes. Really wasnt expecting chili on the food. Thought more of a chili peppers type sauce vs actually chili. My mistake for assuming and not asking. Service was good. The Texas Torpedo or what ever they are called werent great. The breading on outside good and crispy but he cheese filling was not melt and gooey. More set up and firm like a cheese stick taken right out of the refrigerator.

I used to love this place but won t ever be returning. My family has enjoyed this restaurant for years. I called Wednesday and spoke with the receptionist and told her I want to make a reservation for 14 people. She said they don t make reservations and I asked how does it work she said yall just come and we will seat yall. There would be a wait if they re a lot of people and I said that s fine. Fast forward to today (Saturday) it s my actual birthday today and I invited my family, the staff had a rude attitude and could not accommodate 14 people and we had to sit on separate tables, which was fine but they where trying to force us to sit very tight. My mom finally got them to add just one more small table which worked out perfect where two more people could sit. Mind you I ve been to a company dinner and eaten here before with my company never had an issue. Not only that the restaurant was empty where plenty of tables could have easily been put together. I regret not taking photos of how empty it was, but it was 4 not many people where there yet. You can tell the waiter did not want to wait on us, took about 45 minutes before she let us put our order in, half the time she would disappear so my family had to keep getting up to order the drinks at the bar. We where waited by an Alexandra. My brother had gone to the bathroom which was on the other side of the restaurant and on his way back he could hear the staff talking about us. We did not feel welcomed at all. When I called Wednesday I should have been told 14 people could not be accommodated at this restaurant. Simple right? Guess not. I asked if they possibly had a candle so my family could sing me happy birthday, again she took off for 15 minutes and came back to say no candles, and they didn t give anything for birthdays. Which I would have been fine with purchasing a dessert but at this point we where ready to go, if you really want to enjoy your birthday please stay away from this place. I promise you that you will regret it, I was actually embarrassed that I chose this place for my special day.

We showed up at 4pm excited about the 4-6pm happy hour that s advertised on the menu. Went to the bar area like the menu says, sit down asked the bartender about the happy hour, he says they don t have one . We were confused and pointed out the advertisement on the menu, he said oh, well it s a dollar off a regular frozen margarita. So don t come here if you think they re going to have a decent HH. We decided to go sit at a table to be more comfortable since there really isn t a HH. We ordered drinks, my first one was a Spicy cucumber marg, it was pretty good. We ordered small order of torpedos, flauta plate, small guacamole, 2 frozen strawberry margs and a papa drink, total was $97 that became expensive HH our waitress was nice, very accommodating to me the drinks aren t special enough to warrant $15 a piece. I ve had craft cocktails that definitely better than this and worth $$. Food wasn t anything special either.

I have to say that the manager, I believe her name is Emily really went above and beyond. They clean with very very strong cleaner and my friend and I were sitting in the bar area eating. We started getting nauseous and a head ache and had to leave. They really use too much scented fabulouso and the entire restaurant is very strong, but that night it was crazy and we got sick. The main dinning room didn t smell that bad, but by the time we sat there we got super sick. She was so sweet, so apologetic and took care of us both. I m so grateful bc this is our very favorite restaurant. Thank you again.

Met a friend who works near there for lunch. Took me a while to get inside the street and parking area as its under major construction. No fault of the restaurant at all and was worth the trouble getting in. I can only imagine that this is annoying their customers and affecting them. Hopefully this construction will end soon and they will be back to their normal routines. I had not been in a while and enjoyed my food very much and our waitress was very kind and accommodating. I have been to this restaurant many times over the last many years. Again, once they get the construction completed it will be better as I drove around for 10 minutes trying to get in the street they are on because of the new 360 exit project. Love the food there as its always consistent. My only complaint is that I think theyre Margaritas are amazing, but overpriced. This is just my opinion. This is a Tex-Mex restaurant and their Margaritas I believe started around $17. Thats a little steep if you want to have a few cocktails and we know Margaritas are not expensive to make, especially in a Mexican food restaurant which could also be served swirl style. Just my opinion and my experience. I declined ordering cocktails for myself and my friend, not because Im cheap, because Im smart and I dont like to overpay for alcohol when I know the markup is already tremendous. Other than that I will continue going there as I love their food and service as its always consistent.

Ive been a loyal patron of Marianos Tex Mex since the 1980s, and I can confidently say that this place just keeps getting better! From the moment you walk in, youre greeted with the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Marianos is known for. The decor blends classic Tex-Mex charm with modern touches, making it a delightful place to dine. The food, as always, is nothing short of spectacular. Marianos has perfected the art of Tex-Mex cuisine over the decades. The sizzling fajitas are a must-try, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The enchiladas are rich and satisfying, with just the right amount of spice. And dont even get me started on the margaritas theyve been legendary since day one! What truly sets Marianos apart is the consistency and quality. Every visit feels like a trip back in time, reminding me of why I fell in love with this place over 40 years ago. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that each dining experience is top-notch. Marianos Tex Mex is more than just a restaurant; its a beloved institution that has stood the test of time. Whether youre a longtime fan like me or a first-time visitor, youre in for an unforgettable meal. Heres to many more years of delicious memories at Marianos! Thank you, Marianos, for decades of fantastic food and cherished moments. You truly are the best!

TLDR: Overpriced for mediocre food and horrible service. Not worth it Service: Service was fine but declined greatly once they gave us chips and salsa. Below the bare minimum, I would say. Once we ordered, they served us our food and never once came back. No one refilled our water when it was empty, no one to check to see if we liked our food. The table next to us had to wave someone down to get plates. Our waiter ended up checking in on that same table, then proceeded to walk right past us. We had to wave him over just for the bill. For reference, there were about 3-4 tables in our area and this wasn t during a rush Food: Salsa and queso was good. Queso tasted familiar to a store bought version though. Carne Asada was good (tender and flavorful) but the sides (rice, beans, enchilada) were just ok. Not worth $30 though. Next, the Poblano al Carbon. Poblano stuffed with chicken and cheese. Pepper still had a slight crunch, chicken was reminiscent of a school cafeteria (smell and taste), and the cheese had a slight stretch. Enchilada side had the same queso on it as the dip. Rice and beans were the only thing I ate really. For $25, I d expect my chicken to be of higher quality. I feel as though someone bought it in the frozen section at the grocery store. You couldn t even see the chicken shreds/fibers. Price: For the entrees to range from $20-$30, I expect such higher quality ingredients. Max I d pay for the quality we got is $15-$18 per dish. I m not trying to be/sound cheap, but what was placed in front of us was not what we expected for that price.

If youre looking for a place to eat where history was made then by all means come on by. I stopped in here with my family after an event @cowboys stadium. When we pulled up following my brother in law I just thought it looked like an older Mexican restaurant. Once inside and then seated I looked around and thought the same about the interior as the exterior, it just looks dated. The food is very average for the premium price. The adult drinks were average as well and very pricey, margaritas were served in plastic tumblers normally used for soda and tea. As we left not very impressed I glanced over to a wall near the waiting area and noticed a plaque hanging so as I read this plaque I found out that the FROZEN margarita was invented here! Wow.

Dont let the name Hacienda Ranch throw you off. It isnt like the La Hacienda Ranch. It isnt anything close to that place. Mine was on the edge of nasty in my opinion. Too spicy with hot peppers for gringos let alone old gringos. Ordered an enchilada dinner. The rice was okay. The rest I just got tired or eating it and left half. Anyway. Wont be going back to this joint. Its in a skanky part of town anyway.

It was a beautiful day, and my family and I went to lunch still celebrating my Auntie birthday. I had the chicken enchiladas, and we also had beef enchiladas ,tacos, and fajitas platter. The food was excellent, and the people there were very friendly, nice, and courteous, and the waitress was helpful, and her recommendations were on point. Nowadays, its hard to get great food, great service, and a smile .I give this place two thumbs up, and I will be telling others about this great experience. Keep up the good work

This is a must if you are visiting Arlington. Really good Tex-Mex. There is a reason Marianos has been there since the 70s, survived a pandemic, major freeway construction, and is still thriving.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday and ate here at this restaurant. It was our first time eating here. The food, frozen margaritas, ambiance, staff and management were outstanding. It was some of the best authentic mexican food we ever ate. The frozen margaritas were really great. The hostesses greeted us cheerfully and seated us immediately for our reserved time. Our waitress, Yolanda was very professional, cheerful, friendly and made sure our visit and meal were awesome. The food was hot and really delicious. The managers, Antonio and Ricardo were friendly and very helpful before and during our visit there. Antonio even brought a special dessert to our table and flamed it for my wife s birthday which was really nice of him to do. It was very good too. The entire staff was friendly, professional and they insured our visit and meal was enjoyable. I recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely return there to eat. You won t be disappointed.

This is by far the best Mexican Food I have ever had for the 30 years I have been in Texas. The service was great, the food was off the chain. We had the enchiladas, fish tacos and steak quesadillas. All was excellent. I drove 1 hour to get there to have lunch on Cinco Di Mayo 05/05/2024 and I had never heard of this place, thank you google reviews, I looked at the reviews. I now know there is on in Plano, Tx. Will diffinately be back.

Had a great experience at Marianos while I was in Dallas for the weekend! I had no issues getting a parking spot and was promptly seated. My friend tried their margarita and said it was amazing- our waitress made a lot of great recommendations and seemed to appear right as we needed her. Food portions were huge- and I was shocked at how fast we got our food after ordering. This place is a well-oiled machine, ha-ha. Also really recommend the queso + salsa. They had two types of salsas, both were good and completely different from one another (think one being more watery/hot and the other more chunky and medium heat). Honestly cant say enough good things about this place, it had a good interior dining atmosphere and seemed to be managed incredibly well.

One of the best Tex-Mex restaurants Ive been to, hands down. I ordered Marianos favorite and the steak is to die for! It rivals my carne asada! Its now on my spot of favorite restaurants to try when I come to the DFW area. The service was a little slow, but I had a long day of travel and could have been hangry, totally worth the wait in the end.

The atmosphere and service are wonderful! The food is fresh but this place advertises themselves as a Mexican restaurant. They definitely arent Mexican. It is very American food. Ive had food closer to Mexican at chilis. The cheese dip is just watered down melted Velveeta cheese. The fajitas are just meat and veggies cooked on a flat top. The fajitas had no seasoning. The one thing I will say is their Chipotle salsa was very good. Overall very disappointing.

Don t miss this jewel if you are visiting the entertainment district in Arlington. They have the best margaritas in DFW and great food! The coolest thing about Mariano s is the excellent service. They have many employees that have been there for over 20 years. If you visit the bar area where we always eat you will meet people that have been with Mariano s for 30 or 40 years as well as customers that have been dining there that long and still love it.
