Went to get a drink, service took a hour.After found a bug in my food, showed manager food no help and still charge food I didn t eat. When going to a restaurant you expect a clean area, and the biggest disappointment was managing.

It is a good place. Been trying different plates and this breakfast..chilaquiles were too tangy. Our waitress was lost for a good while. My brother needed more tea and I finally got up to go get it myself. The waiter we have had before is awesome. Hes with the long hair. Hes the one Ill request next time. His service has been the best.

Ate dinner here for the first time this past Friday and it was great. We got seated immediately. We chose to eat on the patio. The server was very polite, quick and checked on us frequently. The food was amazing! There drinks were good! I loved the environment! Will definitely be going back! Update: I have come back sooooo many times now and they never disappoint! They got a life long customer :)

A very average mexican restaurant that charges $25 for a very average plate of food, then up-charges to go customers for another very small cup of average salsa to go along with the chips and queso already paid for that went with the high cost food. The epitome of a restaurant destroyed by inflation! Low value experience all around.

Came with my family earlier today and would not come back. Started first with a frozen margarita that tasted purely of rubbing alcohol. Had my family try it as well and they all agreed. My sisters shrimp cocktail was also mediocre at best she ended up not eating (was $20, way overpriced). I got the flautas (chicken was burnt) which ended up tasting so dry and flavorless. It came with guac that was already browning and had no flavor as well. They didn t even have cheese they could give me. I ended up with nothing since I sent the food back, they had nothing that looked appealing. The restaurant was also extremely loud, couldn t even speak with each other at times. We were a table of 6 and two of us didn t end up eating. They charged us automatic gratuity that s required for a table of 6 We love tipping but the fact that it was put on there after having two of us back out is ridiculous. And the prices? Way too overpriced for what they are serving. I think you should skip this restaurant and go somewhere else, there is way better options than this.

Very relaxed, Im picky about my skirt steak but the chili con carne and cheese enchiladas were on point. Salsa is the best. Not watery or tomato paste taste, someones grandma taught them proper. I love this place, will be trying more dishes so hopefully can give 5 stars

The place has changed over time, cooks and staff that provided great food and service are no longer there. Had to reduce my rating based on the changes Ive seen. Prices have increased dramatically. Lately, I have cought them adding extra fees in to the ticket and they never tell me. Had it out with the waitress the last time they did that. She refused to take it off because it is their policy. I spoke to the manager and they took it off because I wasnt notified. Food is good but not at these prices. They Need to Do better! Papasitos is better at these prices. Chips and salsa are good! Try the Pollo con ongos, best grilled chicken and mushrooms around, add Chipotle and atomic sauce. Shrimp cocktail is great also.

Had been wanting to try this place and today after church decided to give it a shot. I ordered the mole enchiladas, which were good wish the chicken was a bit more shredded but that is my only somewhat bad thing I could say everything came out hot, service was awesome. A bit overpriced I think but it was pretty good.

Went for lunch there today and it was awful. The waiter had no knowledge of the menu. We ordered $90 worth of fajitas and asked what meats came on it, he said steak, chicken and shrimp and there brisket and cheese on top. Someone at the table is allergic to cheese and wasnt able to even eat the food. That was just the beginning. When the check came, we had cash and card and told him to apply the cash then charge the card, he pocketed the cash and charged the card for the full bill - over $100!! When asked for him to fix it, they couldnt even provide a receipt showing it was reversed. We asked to speak to a manager, who wouldnt come over and talk to us. Then we were told we were no welcome back and we couldnt even take the leftovers, because of their error. Dont even give this place a chance, the food was subpar, service was horrible and they are crooks.

Had a Beef Fajita Supreme burrito and it was fantastic. Beef had a wonderful flavor and it was wrapped up so nicely in a lightly grilled burrito. The endless chips and salsa tasted so fresh and the service was outstanding. Also I had the Jalapeno Margarita on the rocks and was not disappointed with it in the slightest. Will definitely come back

Lupes is amazing! If you can only go once in your life, order the fajita beef enchiladas, but load up on the salsa and bean dip and make sure you get some to go. Its THAT good. Updated 03.16.24 - I stand by my previous review. Lupes is comfort food at its best.

Just left after waiting 20 minutes for someone to take my order. I got seated got my chips and sauce and ordered a drink. The place wasn t busy and no one came to take my order. Went to pay for my drink and the dude that took me to my table said he would take my order. Sorry too late but the drink was free. Not impressed at all and this was my first visit for lunch.

We went later on a Saturday night. About 7:45pm. We were able to be seated right away. Plenty of TVs to watch basketball if you like. Clean place although it smelled a little fabuloso when we first walked in. The food really hit the spot. I got the combo fajitas and the meat was perfection. And the onions! Also grilled to perfection. Loved the salsa. Spicy but not so spicy you can t eat it without needing a tall glass of water. Queso was so-so but loved the black bean bowls. I will definitely go back when I m in Arlington again and will also be craving their food until I do.

The food is great. To save some money, go for the daily special -- theyre all good. Ask for Jose, he does a great job taking care of you. My personal favorites are the Caldo de Pollo, Guiso de Res and the Mexico City Tacos. If youre extra hungry, get the mushroom queso fundido to start you off. The only complaint, if I had to make one, is that the cuts of meat you get for fajitas are too big, so you have to cut them more for an edible fajita, but thats more of a personal preference than anything else.

The food is average. Only thing that s consistently delicious is the steak meat. The service is a hit or miss, usually slow. It s always unnecessarily loud. And the prices!! Oh my goodness!!! Prices keep going up! Going up a lot. I just spent $25 on JUST rice and beans for my sick kids who are addicted to this place. I paid $21 (which is still a lot) about a month ago. I understood when prices went up during the pandemic or when grocery prices were super high. But things are changing. No need to continue raising the cost of dining.

Ordered the rib eye. Received the rib eye tacos. Informed the waiter that I ordered the rib eye with the chipotle sauce. He took the tacos back, which did look delicious, but wasn t what I ordered. Finally, received the rib eye, but no chipotle sauce, which is how it was supposed to to come, per the menu. Idk if it was a communication issue. I kept what I received the second time. It was delicious, but I was missing the chipotle sauce. My daughter was asked if she wanted Tajin on the rim, and she said yes. Received her margarita without anything on the rim. Overall, everything was delicious. Either the waiter was new, which if he would have told us we would have cut him some slack. Assuming he was not new, then he either didn t pay attention or there was a break in communication. Chips were warm but tasted old. We did come on a Monday afternoon, but for a restaurant, nothing should taste old.

Their Jack cheese they served us was rancid and they insisted that s how it smells. I feel sick, and we paid full price. I can t get the rancid smell off my hands it was very pungent. They also forgot to bring me a drink I ordered. They seemed short on wait staff also. I would never come back.

Went there for breakfast 7/9/23. When we walked in, we asked the host if they served or were serving breakfast, and he said they did. When we were seated, we asked the waiter if they served breakfast when handing us our menus, and he said no, not really, this is all we got. I asked for a coffee, lemonade, and water. When he brought the coffee and I started to mix it with my spoon, there was some nasty white foam, and the spoon was covered with some thick goo. It was nasty. That made our choice very easy to leave.

I went here for lunch with my coworkers. I had the brisket burrito with green verde sauce and it was a bit more salty than I remember. Their margaritas are on point! If you re looking for a Tex-Mex with chips and salsa, this is a place! I m giving them a 3 stars instead of 4 stars because their service is slow.

Disappointment is an understatement. I ordered a Mexican shrimp coctail. Ive never paid more that $18. This was $22. 75% over spiced hot sauce and 12.5% shrimp pieces and bites and 12.5% tomatos, onions and avocado. 32 ounces of nothing but juice. I was ripped off. I will not go back. Your food cost on that was maybe $4.00. Based on your pricing of the remaining menu item, this place looks overpriced and under portioned. I do not recommend that you go here.

The atmosphere is very nice. Our server was great. I had beef fajitas. They were tough but were very tasty. I had a margarita and it was terrible. Its called a rangerita. Its a margarita with blue curacao and Chambord. All I could taste was the tequila. Chambord is sweet with a raspberry flavor. I couldnt taste it. I dont know if the tequila was low quality or too much in the drink. My family had the chimichangas, and they were amazing. I will go back and try those. Parking: Lots of spaces.

We used to like Lupes the first few times we went. But the last couple of years it hasnt been great. Ordered fajitas and it came with 5 pieces of steak. For $17.99. If I could give this a big fat Zero I would. Not that crowded, waited over 35 to 40inutes for crunchy enchiladas...they were greasy, no taste, no cheese..nada. dark chicken meat that tasted really old. Not a good experience.

Food was great, but the queso was bland. They also have a maximum on the amount of chips you can have-which is already a small bowl to begin with. Service was subpar and relatively slow. Came at 2:00 on a weekday. Other than that, a great experience.

If you made reservations via Google, call the restaurant to confirm. I called a day before the date of the res to confirm & they did not have it in their log, something about system sync issues where their computers dont link up with reservations made via Google. We came in @ 930pm (1hr before closing) on Friday right after a graduation ceremony @ Globe Life. Our party of 9 got seated right away, they were not very busy. Our server was very kind & patient with us while we gave our grad his gifts & took pictures. Drinks, chips & salsa and bean dips came out shortly after we placed our orders. Salsa has a nice kick to it & the bean dip is not overly salty. I ordered the carne asada plate, the beef was marinated well & packed a lot of flavor, rice & beans were pretty standard as far as Tex-mex places go. The food wasnt hot-hot when it arrived, more like lukewarm or the kind of warm that you get from microwaving the dish for 30seconds. But it was right before closing time so they might have already turn off the grill/stove? Other members of my party ordered brisket tacos & enchiladas only to be told they ran out of brisket for the day. They opted for fajitas instead. Same as the carne asada, the fajitas had really good flavor but it was not fresh-from-the grill hot.

The food is just ok. We went to Saturday morning brunch as a family and was having a great time until the bill came. We were totally unaware there was an additional charge of 2.50 for chocolate milk on a kids meal that comes with a drink. (Doesn t add up). When we brought it to the manager Jose s attention he threatened to call the police on us if we didn t pay for the milk. It wasn t about the milk, it was the threat!!! This guy is insane. He even mentioned the waitress was in training and she was unaware as well. Jose is the classic example of a bad manager. I don t recommend this place at all!

The food is okay. We were charged extra for something that came with the meal, told the manager Jose and he had a terrible attitude! Didn t want to take the extra charge off ( $2.50 ). So we said we weren t paying for it and he threatened to call the police over $2.50!!!!! We said call them and he ended up taking the charge off. Jose is a terrible manger!!!!!!!

Decent Tex Mex place which looks much better inside than it does from the outside (at least at night). It plays as a hybrid sports bar with games playing on four screens as you eat. Service is good. Food is relatively bland and not spicy, but filling. I had the spinach enchiladas and my friend had the cheese quesadillas. The salsa was watery, but the black beans they give with your complimentary chips are good.

Used ladies room first thing ~ the sewer smell was horrendous ~ no toilet paper ~ no hand towels (they said I lied and there was plenty of both) I dispute that! Food was okay ~ not exceptional ~ all while we were there children were allowed to scream continuously and extremely loud! Been there twice ~ my first and last time!

Highly recommend the Keller and Bedford locations but AVOID this! Been here 4 times on multiple different occasions and had a bad experience 3 out of the 4 times. To customize any dish, including ones meant to be customizable (like the enchilada plate), they make you talk to several people and even after confirming the changes multiple times, they still get it wrong. Our food wasnt even cooked the staff was very unfriendly and even told us that making changes to the dishes was a hassle. Our server left us waiting for over 30 minutes for our check and we found out from another server that they had just left. Never had these problems at the Keller or Bedford locations - avoid this location.

The cleanliness of the establishment was poor. The wait staff was inattentive and not very friendly . The food was lukewarm at best . The flavor of our meal was semi adequate and over priced. This place could be a 4star establishment in a wonderful shopping area~ but currently it isn t.

I thought the chips and salsa was good, queso was bland, and we had good service. As far as the rest of the food, we had the combo fajitas and the nachos. It s hard to mess up nachos, and they were fine but I found the steak to be quite chewy. All in all, it s a fine spot to dine, but it simply lacks some flavor. Great service, tho.
