It was absolutely amazing! All the staff was super friendly! It was incredible that your helper is in character, and I love that they don t dock you for hints. I ve been to several escape rooms across the country and this is downright the best one. Me and my family will definitely be coming back to do a different room. We did the Poe adventure btw. It was very immersive and great for all kinds of people. Also, the guy working the desk, I didn t get his name, was super nice and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend going here.

THE BEST ESCAPE ROOM I VE EVER BEEN TO. Seriously. From the moment we walked in until we walked back out of the door the experience was fantastic. We did the Poe adventure and it was so much fun. Well done from the front desk to the actor as our guide. Thank you for the great time!

We took my daughter here for her birthday because she really wanted to try a rage room. We booked a reservation at the Arlington location, but when we got there, the power was out. That really sucked because we live an hour away. They were going to rebook us for another day, but we had already driven so far. They called the Fort Worth location, and they said they could accommodate us. Our original reservation was for 2 rooms because there were 4 of us and there is a 3 person max per room. Except when we got to Fort Worth, they put all four of us in that tiny room. It was kinda scary to be that close swinging weapons and breaking things, so I left out after 4 minutes. My husband and children had a good time, but I was uneasy with it being so cramped. Im happy they were able to accommodate us, but I wish it was under the original arrangement with 2 rooms. Then we couldve all been comfortable and had a good time. In the end, the birthday girl had fun, which was the goal.

Every escape room we do here is very fun and very well themed. I cant really tell the difficulty differences between escape rooms but there hasnt been any my group hasnt got out of in time. Edit: Still a great place with awesome escape rooms. We most recently did the Pirate Adventure and Nathan AKA Bucket was great. He made the escape room even more fun and funny. Highly recommend.

The pirate escape room was 11/10, it was so cool and the concept was puzzling and SUPER fun and especially with how helpful the pirate host was ! He was very funny , great actor, energetic and veryyy helpful! However today my family and I were very disappointed with the Area 51 room host, the layout looks very cool and I m sure the concept was cool too however the host wasnt really helpful at all , we were confused almost the whole duration :( we d ask for clues and either not get a response, responding with a very uninterested/bothered attitude and leaving it to us to figure out what little we were given ( and yes clues aren t supposed to make things 100% clear but itd be nice to be guided just a teensy bit) , also she expected us to know what specifically to ask for even though if she was paying attention she d know what clue to give to us seeing as this is her job and she knows exactly how the whole thing works and has cameras on us . We didn t know what to ask about seeing as how we were so lost and had no idea what we needed to do, so without asking her the way she wanted, we wouldn t even get a response. But again the pirate room at least was PERFECT and the host was perfect at his job at well.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding a recent power outage that occurred at The Secret Chambers on May 26, 2024. Unfortunately, I and other customers were not informed about this outage in advance, which caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I had scheduled a visit to The Secret Chambers for a birthday celebration. Upon arrival, I discovered that the venue was experiencing a power outage, rendering the planned activities impossible. Not only was there no prior notification about this outage, but there was also no on-site communication from staff regarding the situation and how it would be resolved. As a loyal customer, I find this lack of communication unacceptable. Had I been informed in advance, I could have rescheduled my visit or made alternative arrangements, saving both time and effort. Effective communication is crucial, especially when unforeseen circumstances arise that affect customers plans and experiences. I request that The Secret Chambers take the following actions to address this issue: 1. Provide a formal apology for the inconvenience caused by the power outage and the lack of communication. 2. Implement a notification system to inform customers promptly about any power outages or similar disruptions. 3. Offer compensation for the affected visit, such as a refund or a complimentary rescheduling. I hope that you will take this complaint seriously and address these concerns promptly. Second time at the Arlington location of the Secret Chambers, our 7th room between Fort Worth and Arlington. The staff here are LOVELY, and I love that the room had a live host giving prompts over the speakers. Such a fun, unique addition to the experience! We did the Area 51, ready to fail as it was the hardest one weve attempted. But the room was a BLAST; very challenging puzzles but never hit a point where it felt like we were bored or checked out due to inactivity. I usually take my kiddo, but this would have NOT been fun for him (or me with him in tow), definitely more complicated than anything he could have participated in. But we DID IT with five minutes to spare! Cemented once again that any new rooms the Secret Chambers release...well be there with bells on.

My husband and I love the secret chambers! The escape rooms are put together very well, and I love how many of them have multiple rooms. The clues are well thought out, and each of them is unique. I have been to many escape room companies, and this one is definitely my favorite. I truly never know what kind of puzzle ill have to solve when i set foot in one of their rooms. I like that they arent stingey with the number of hints theyll give you. Weve been several times, and we will be back.

We have a great time every time we visit here. We have now completed every room and were not disappointed with any of them. Today was the pirate adventure and we came with 4 family members. They had an absolute blast. The workers played the characters well and all of the puzzles tested us. We cant wait for them to create new rooms so we can come play again.

I did both the Poe Adventure and the Pirates room! Both rooms were wonderfully designed! You do not receive a hint from a TV but rather a form of the GM. Poe Adventure was exceptionally fun and the puzzles all had some sort of tie-in to EAP works. I highly recommend Poe Adventure!

We have completed 3 rooms with the Secret Chambers and loved every single room. Each room has been interactive with actors and they are GREAT! The rooms flow really well and the clues have excellent connections but you do have to think!! This trip was The Poe Adventure. Ok, as a long time Google Navigator who has been to a bunch of different escape rooms all over the country, from the very basic to very intricate, this was hands down a top quality escape room. We did the Blackbeard Pirate escape room and the staff was amazing, the story line setup was super good, and the escape room was over the top good. We did make it out in time but we did take advantage of one of our cell mates who turned out to be a very friendly pirate trying to escape as well. If you love escape rooms none of their rooms will disappoint you. Highly recommend!

We went in with high expectations since the group before us looked like they had a great time and there in character pirate seem like he was really involved. However when it became our turn we werent help, for example when we ask for hibts we would resive anything and we would get really ahead and the person wouldnt know cause they werent there and get mad at us and have us redu a couple of steps. Some of the group had to leave early and they notice the person who was sopused to be helping us was outside of the room talking to other people.

The quality of the room was great and the challenge was very well thought. We did the pirate room and now we want to go back and do the alien room. It was a blast! 4 of us completed The Poe Adventure; myself, my fiancé, my 14 year old, and my 8 year old. It was just the right amount of spooky to keep my 8 year old on his toes, but not enough to actually scare him. The puzzles were fun and some were even easy enough for my 8 year to solve. Lots of banging on the walls and jump scares, it was great! Just a suggestion for future customers: if youre going to purchase through Groupon, call Secret Chambers and ask them if they will honor the Groupon price without going through Groupon. That way they get 100% of your money. Otherwise, Groupon takes 80% of it. And the employees here really do deserve all of it. They obviously put a lot of heart and thought into the experiences. This was absolutely ridiculous. I came from a 45 minute drive to this location. I was just turned away where a white man with glass yelled through the window and said peace . It is 7:15 pm. On the phone I was told we re able to come in at any time for a rage room. I got there and he FLIPPED the sign right in front of us. This is ridiculous. Fire him, so so disrespectful. Weve done over 60 rooms and this was one of our favorites! (Pirates) the immersion is so awesome and every detail put not only into the puzzles and the atmosphere but also the interactions and the game master/clue system. We had so much freaking fun. Weve done games all across Texas and in several other states and this one stands out substantially. Top five out 64 even! No stupid red herrings or random guessing and so much fun. Were coming back to do all the rooms PS Enchiladas did not taste like cardboard.

Ive done at least 10 escape rooms. We flew in from out of town and took my family to one that was highly rated and we found a Groupon for. It could have been so nice because the story and the room were awesome. But a sconce fell off the wall and when we were trying to put it back up, we got scolded and told that was a warning because they wouldnt listen when we said it fell off. That set the mood for the entire experience. Then, when we got stuck, we asked for clues. One clue was well, what does the paper say? We struggled with what the paper clue said for so long we didnt even finish the game. I can deal with not making it out. But we were legitimately stuck and we got zero help.

I love going to The Secret Chambers! This is what I expect when I they say a full immersion escape room. Youre not just getting a room with locks or codes to solve, as the story lines are always well thought out and the puzzles are clever. Some puzzles are easy, and some are hard depending on how you think. Love it. I always recommend this place to my friends and be careful and pace yourself cause you will go through every room and have to wait for the themes to change.

Went here based on a Groupon while we were visiting Dallas for a soccer tournament. It was seven 12 year olds and myself. We did the Pirate Adventure puzzle and it was amazing! From start to finish the girls had fun figuring out what they needed and struggling with how to solve things. I dont know if was just for this puzzle or not, but we had a person that was giving us clues along the way and they did a great job of not telling us too much too early but also not letting us struggle for too long either. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

We did The Poe Adventure for my son s birthday today. It was awesome! We had several kids aged 10-15 plus 4 adults. It was just the right difficulty level, really fun and interactive, and definitely not too scary. The staff was incredible! I ve been to several escape rooms and this was my favorite by far.

This place has to hands down have the best escape rooms in DFW. Did the Poe room and was blown away by how creative, detailed, and fun this room was. Only suggestion I could make would be to turn down the volume of the room next doors cluemaster because while we were playing we could occasionally hear him through the wall and it took the full immersion feeling away, which was disappointing because otherwise it would have been a perfect experience.

We have completed The Poe Adventure & Area 51 in this location. Both were super fun - the details/themes are fantastic and the guides are enthusiastic & helpful. The games cover a lot of ground so many people can contribute to the teams success with different skill sets. The sets are well put together. We had to reschedule due to illness and the customer service folks are really accommodating. Would definitely recommend either room to a group of 4.

I went with my kids and we did the Area 51 room. Was disappointed that some of the elements didnt work. In fact, we had to wait for not one, but two, staff members to come into the room and unlatch the briefcase. In addition, the speaker is quiet so we didnt make the connection that the lights for a couple of the puzzles didnt work. Would have been nice to be offered extra time but I understand theres a schedule to adhere to. To be offered a revenge discount of 30% was disappointing. I think if we didnt solve the room but all the puzzles worked would be one thing. This was a disappointing room.

First room we ever did was Area 51. The set and production value was phenomenal. Our two critiques are that our clue master was pretty generous with our clues and our group felt like the room was pretty linear and did not feel like you needed 8 people. We think 4-6 people would be max because we felt like a few of us couldn t do much. Some feedback I had was it would be cool to have the clue master not have great reception and could sporadically come on or we could only hear certain key things to make it more challenging. We felt like we weren t given productive struggle. Our group beat the room with 15 minutes to spare. We still had a great time and the service was wonderful!

We have done over 300 escape rooms and this location is BY FAR THE BEST!!! The rooms and seriously absolutely gorgeous, and all the puzzles are challenging yet make 100% sense! I liked this place, went for 20 minutes inside a Rage Room, bought it via Groupon. I went after 8 pm, thanx for Google maps for the directions because it is somewhat hiding is too dark on that side of the building and the lights were flickering, the guy at the front was having problems with the cash register and he did not scan my Groupon. Went with a friend and I think next time I do this Ill go by myself or we do it at different times. The guy that walked us to the room was very nice and explained to us what we can or cant do inside of it, the room is REALLY small and is best for just one person as I said before, they give you a box full of glass bottles/plates/VHS tape/teacup enough to destroy for 20 minutes, you have a variety of weapons to use, some you need to pay extra, there is also extra stuff you can add for more $. We added the printer for $12 more and it was well worth it, we had a lot of fun with it and released a lot of frustration destroying it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wear boots when doing this as they do not provide any and if you are wearing snickers you will get glass stuck in the soles as you will be walking on thick broken glass, they do provide a helmet with mask, work gloves and work overalls but again no special shoes. Overall we had fun and is a good way to get some stress out of you in the safety of a closed room where you are monitored for any accident if any. Next time we will try the other location ( Fort Worth) in which they have a bigger room with more things /options.

The Secret Chambers delivers as always. The much anticipated Edgar Alan Poe room is now open after years of development. I had been looking forward to it ever since they mentioned it in their Alta Mere location years ago. I wont spoil it, but you are tasked to look for the murderer of Edgar Alan Poe. You dont need a lot of prior knowledge in order to be successful in the room. The room is well put together and it comes with a spirit guide. It always looks like the employees are excited to work there and are always knowledgeable and accommodating. I look forward to any of their new escape rooms.

Weve been to many escape rooms and they have all been tons of fun. This one though, the Edgar Allen Poe room, was by far the best escape room experience weve ever had. It was so well thought out and detailed and all the clues made sense. Bring some cash to tip the employees. I did not have any cash on me and wish I had because they deserved tips for the experience they provided.. Whoever designed this room knew what they were doing. Would definitely come back to this location and try out their other rooms in the future.

Extremely satisfied. My group and I loved and enjoyed the Poe Adventure room very much. Everything about it is well designed, it was almost like being in a movie. Definitely worth the price! I would recommend an adult group to not be larger than 6 people so everyone can have a chance at solving pieces of the mystery. The staff was also very nice and welcoming. I appreciated the fact that I was given credit for the couple in my group that wasn t able to come. That just gave me the excuse of booking with them again! My group and I are happy to experience another one of their rooms soon!

The Poe Adventure is excellent. One of my top escape rooms! I love their game master dynamic. Its unique and fun! The room is high quality. I enjoy a nice aesthetic in my escape rooms and this one dose deliver. The only negative I have to mention is that they charge for the photo. Ive never experienced this at an escape room. Escape rooms in general arent cheap, so this was a bit off putting to be asked to pay $10 for a photo.

We purchased a Groupon for our initial visit. We had never participated in an Escape Room experience before. We were given a clear description of expectations and instructions. Our theme was Edgar Allen Poe based. We had an objective to complete and could leave the room whenever we wanted, unlike some escape rooms. It was really fun and challenging! I would recommend wearing comfortable clothes and be able to crawl around. Luckily, we had a young person with us for some of that! We would happily do this again!

Absolutely loved the rage room. Smashing items is sooooo much fun. Definitely should have started smashing the printer sooner. That was crazy fun. And plenty to break and work out that aggression! So glad to have gotten the video recodimg of the session. Super fun watching it again. However, I will say that the video does not come with sound which was disappointing. The audio of the announcer and all his jokes and all the funny things you might say while in the middle of your session are some of the best moments. So to not have the audio that is something that needs to be improved. Still had an amazing time. My other only suggestion is to think about providing customers with knee pads as well as the rest of the protective equipment.

I took a group of teenage girls to the Poe room. They had a great time! The experience was creepy, intriguing, and challenging. I had fun watching them be startled, confused, and terrified, though they solved the mystery. My daughter liked that it wasn t just 1 room but had multiple areas to explore. You don t have to know Poe s works to enjoy it, but it s more fun if you catch the connections. SC manages to work in references to all the stories. It was well done the aesthetic design and textual incorporation were excellent. Especially if you re a Poe fan you will love this room!

It was a lot of fun! Did this for a joint birthday party for my sister and our brother-in-law (both were turning 31 and NEVER DID AN ESCAPE ROOM). We had 9 people (28-39 years old mix of males and females) come. None had any experience but me! It had enough of a challenge and once you get going you want to know more and more! My youngest sister and I were the only ones really familiar with Poe s works but that didn t stop the others from being interactive and engaged in the entire process! That hour went quick but we made it through with 12 minutes to spare!! Well ventilated room. Some spots only a few could do but that was okay. Staff super nice and our guide he was helpful to his abilities of giving info. No limit on hints! If you do get overwhelmed you can step out to get your bearings if you need to. We do plan on embarking on another one soon! I highly recommend! Good luck future detectives!

Weve done all of the escape rooms at The Secret Chambers. Although we have loved all of them, the Poe room is our absolute favorite. We had not been back in nearly a year and a half due to Covid. After we finished the room, we had a gift waiting for us from the manager, Matt. Weve gotten to know Matt over the years since we have done various company team building events with him (there are few better ways to build a team than have people solve puzzles together). Matt is an incredible individual. Although our experience in the room could not have been better, the warm and caring people who run the company are the reason to continue to go.

My group had a great time doing The Poe Adventure. Our group of 7 had plenty of things for everyone to do and help with. We enjoyed the fun twists and turns. Our only collective issue was the girl running the front desk treated us as if we were all dumb in the beginning. From using the bathrooms and sanitizing hands, to putting our phones away, everything was handled and explained in almost a condescending way. She came off really rude. Kinda started the process out on a sour note.
