I was told that my mother would be able to get in her wheelchair and use the bathroom on her own and she can no longer do any of that. They didnt work with her going to the bathroom they stole a vase that I got my mother for mothers Day and nobody can produce it. She cant even set up in the bed by herself. Boy they get her they couldnt get her out of there fast enough. I dont think they were telling her insurance everything that was going on. And just sent her home for her family to do and its just me.

My mom was here for about 3 weeks for rehab after her surgery. The staff was wonderful they were so nice to my mom. They were attentive to her needs. The therapy staff worked with my mom to get her strength back. The business manager, Shannon kept me informed of her financial and medical status. I highly recommend this place. Thank you all for your kindness.

They dropped the ball on quite a few things. I kept hearing oh that s not my job and it s the hospice job. Not the absolute worst but, they really had a hard time taking initiative.

I was trying to get my mom accepted there and they stated they would relook into it and call me back. They never called me back. Working in this field I know this has become the norm and it s not okay. It s hard on residents, caregivers and hospital dc planners.

This is long overdue. My dad has been there well over a year now. Im grateful to have found them. He came there with a difficult wound he acquired from a previous nursing home Dr. Lassiter the wound doctor and his assistant wound nurse Deda along with the nurses and techs got my dads wound completely healed. I was told they dont have lots of wound there. I know why. The staff are kind and attentive. There definitely is continuity of care there which is important. I am very involved with my dads care. I sleep well with him there. I could go on but Ill just check in at another Point give you all more updates here and there.

This place did zero to help my father. If we listened to them, and did not take him to the hospital today, he wouldn t be around past tomorrow. At least he has a chance now. Look elsewhere.

We needed a place for respite care for a week and were referred to Kendra at Town Hall Estates. We promptly received a call back and in less than a week we had a room. We arrived in the evening on a Friday. The nurses and aids were all top notch. Very caring and reassuring, Aid named Ester even brought mom some ice cream to help her adjust to the sudden change. Since this was temporary the room was sparce and kind of dark. But we did observe long term residents and their rooms were personalized and individually arranged to suit the resident. We also talked with other family members and got positive feed back. Kendra has reached out to find out how we are doing since moved back to moms original home. I cannot say enough good about the caring staff. Days and Nights communicated well and Weekend to Week day shifts also communicated. The facility needs some updated flooring but we did not see any bugs or foul smells. Bathrooms were clean and well equipped. They have bingo and activities and an on site hairdresser. In addition It was Mothers day week and they had a balloon arch for pictures. Mom was welcomed and included in these daily activities. Food was good with the main meal being noon and a lighter meal in the evening. Snacks, juice, coffee, fruit, and sandwiches are available 24/7. No matter were you choose to place your loved one, I encourage you to visit and form your own opinion. Talk to the residents and their families to get a feel for the the facility and staff. It is encouraging when you hear that they have been there for a while and that they like their coworkers and leaders. I also must add that i had a particularly bad day and the director took such care and time with me and made me comfortable with the process. I will always be grateful for that act of kindness. J. This facility was visited 5/14/22 and the young lady at the nurses station did not know and patient family member was standing all while the bed notification had been activated. No type of acknowledgment was giving to the visitor while holding personal calls and not tending to patients need. The patient family member went to the patient room and the patient was in a fully full with urine. Family member went to the desk to ask about the bathing for the patient and expressed the the patient was soaked in urine as well as asked about the bed alarm being turned on. The response from staff was that it is against State law to have alarms on the patient bed. This facility staff indirectly advises that any patient with confusion and lack of supervision can fall or even worse walk right out the doors without being noticed. That advice goes against any medical oath that has ever been made especially when it comes to fall risk patient that suffer with Dementia and Alzheimer. I want to report this message to the D.O.N. and the State Board for investigation.

I m tempering my words as I just read Matthew 5:39-48. The therapists are great. Beware of ALL skilled nursing in the area. We ve used more than one and firmly believe the state has no clue what patients and their families go through due to low wages and lack of oversight. If you can get into an inpatient therapy hospital (3 hrs of therapy a day) do so, but most elderly seem to be denied that option by insurance and sent to these facilities instead. If you have no other choice, find a way to have a family member or friend to be present for several hours DAILY to assist and keep an eye on things. I HIGHLY recommend TWO people attend both the admission paperwork meeting and the care plan meetings, taking diligent notes. ASK QUESTIONS and write down what you asked/ what was answered and by whom, on what date, at what time. Find out the chain of command and get all their contacts, even who oversees the on-sight leadership. For discharge, understand that when can s/he go home? is taken as we want her/him discharged early and will be used against you. DO NOT leave that property until you are given proof that all is in place for next steps (e.g., home health/hospice, prescriptions, oxygen, durable medical equipment, etc). You ll be exhausted by that point, but it s so important to be patient and complete those final steps. Again, have TWO people present for discharge day. You are a NOBODY once insurance is no longer paying for the patient s care. Two stars because of the therapists, who deserve more.

I would give this place a ZERO if I could My 80yr old father was transferred there after a uti issue, he needed rehab and skilled nursing . He received none! 20 days there , all documented and he declined severely . Uti came back more aggressive and sepsis topped it off!!! Also contracted Covid . Thankful we were able to get him out of there by calling 911! Ridiculous operation they have there! I m glad my dad is admitted to hospital but 20 days of no medical care at all is not a skilled nursing facility They are a joke. The care team is not medical , they all push pens, collect checks, no care for these patients. My dad told us and told us he was not being cared for but we decided to stay the course and now I m praying we did not wait too long! He hasn t walked in over 30 days and can barely make a sentence! He wasn t eating and they never reported or sounded concerned. They moved him to back hall and basically left him to die! We were his voice finally!! He is covid positive, raging uti with sepsis, his pulse ox was 91 , body temp low 96.3 They claimed it was because the room was cold! Horrible place! They are either not trained or do not care. Sad! Names to watch out for Nicole, Joan, Teresa, Armstrong , good for nothing :(

Dont let the facades of other nursing homes fool you. We just changed nursing homes and Town Hall Estates is amazing. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. They are also happy! Quite a difference from the previous home. I thank God for this positive change.

Such a wonderfully thoughtful and competent team of caregivers. They are genuinely interested in their patients and it shows. All are wonderful and many stand out- Dessie, Rodger, and Heather to thank and name a few. They offer a variety of events, activities and themes. I am so grateful for them and the attention they give my mother. She is truly well cared for there.

You should be fair warned about this skilled nursing facility. My family member came here and she was drugged improperly, she was malnourished, the standard of care was minimal, left in diapers and the family member was a fully functioning person to go to the restroom. Family was told by a nurse that the patient could not walk and so they told the patient to use the restroom in the diaper. Patient fell EVERY week in their care. BE VERY WARY of sending your family member here! They have been reported to the State of Texas.

I can t say enough about this nursing home. I m sure none are as perfect as we would like for them to be but this one is close. It s been almost a year since my husband was a patient there. They were kind to him and to me as well. The administrator went out of his way to make our experience a good one. They cared about the patients and their families. This experience was 0verall all a goon one. If you proceed with fair expatations then you will get more than most can imagine. A great staff all the way around from the cooks to the administratorvto nurses , everyone there cares about your loved ones.
