One of the oldest operating restaurants in Amarillo. They check the boxes of all the things that I used to take for granted when eating out but rarely experience anymore - seated quickly, cleanliness, smiles, smiles, smiles from staff, fast and friendly service, getting the order right, checking on our table, filling our drinks, cleaning our table, knowledgeable wait staff, and the ticket was handled quickly and efficiently. We went on a busy Sunday afternoon and I watched in amazement as the staff still found time to clean the front glass and not only efficiently bus the table next to us but they cleaned the floor. My shoes didnt stick to the floor as I walked nor my forearms on the table. This place has been around since the early 80s and I expected that decade old grease build-up on everything but found no evidence of it. The fries were perfect! The beer selection was pretty good (they should bring in some local craft beers) and the burger was... Well it was pretty good (cooked and prepared perfectly). I think the buns might be Mrs. Bairds wheat buns or something similar. Maybe add a gourmet bun to the menu? Ive had far better but at the expense of indifferent staff and having to degrease my body when I got home. Ill be giving all my extra (I really want a burger) money to Hummers from now on!

Food was delicious service was great, the only reason I didnt give 5 stars for the atmosphere is bc it did feel very cluttered. The tables were too close together and it didnt feel like there was enough space for everyone to be comfortably seated. Just really feel like they could use a bigger building to go with their amazing food and staff.

The wait may be a little long sometimes, depending on whether theres a big game on, but its well worth the wait. The staff is amazing. We have been here so many times (with and without kids) and never had bad service. They handle all orders properly. Ive never had to send anything back. They always check on you for refills, extra items requested, and how your food tastes. I love eating here!

My husbands family came in to town for his 40th birthday. We celebrated all weekend and Sunday everyone had to drive out and catch flights. I chose hummers so we could watch some football have drinks and good food. When we walked in it was packed and we were told it could be an hour. We did not have time to wait as we were headed out the door the manager stopped us and asked how many. There were 12 of us she opened up their party room for us and started taking our drink orders immediately. Drinks came quickly as well as our appetizers and then our food. This was exceptional service the food was hot and delicious. Thank you Hummers and staff for accommodating us. It made this Birthday weekend that much better.

I moved to Tennessee about 8 years ago. The last meal I had in Texas was a Hummers chicken fry. Im back in town for a visit; and guess what, yep my first meal back under the Texas sky a Hummers chicken fry. It centers you when things are just as good as you remember them. I really like the expanded patio area, very cool. Other than that; same groovy atmosphere and outstanding service. It felt like I never left. Thank you, thank you!

They have a good sized burger thats cooked to order. In fact everything was cooked expertly. From the grilled onions to the onion rings. And the service was impeccable. I did not need to ask the bartender to refill my water. They just did it when they noticed it was low. I also liked that they had hard seltzers available since Im not into beer. Ive been twice, and the food was really good both times. Service has been great both times as well. The atmosphere is fine but can be loud and overwhelming, so it is not recommended if youre looking to have a conversation. With that said, now that its warming up, you can eat on the patio. They have a great setup for outside dining. I would definitely recommend this place.

I came here to watch the Michigan --TCU game. I had my service dog with me and when the rest of the crowd cheered for TCU it caused my dog to bark. The manager--who did a great job even though she was being pulled in 4 directions--placed my dog and I in a new party room they just opened. It worked out great for my dog. I ordered a Southwestern salad that fantastic. The only thing I would change if I was the chief would be to add more greens to mix in with the abundant add-ons. The atmosphere in their party room is very well done. They should be proud of a job well done.

Very under rated sportsbar. Were from out of town and really enjoyed our visit! As we pulled into the parking lot Emily George was singing a Kid ROCK song and was killing it! Sat at the the bar and Kaitlyn was awesome! I have to say they had the the best oysters in TX and the best bartender with the best attitude. She did staple her finger as we talked but our drinks were on point. Well definitely be back!

I am a regular here. Out of the dozens of times I have been here, I have had a less than stellar experience once. Kudos to the owner. We have always had delicious and fresh food here. Steak bites, burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips. Even the nachos are real cheese - not cheese sauce dumped on them. SUPER.
