The atmosphere was the only good thing about it. Lively music and beautiful tables and chairs. The food was 0/5. I ordered a sampler plate with quesadilla, taquitos and nachos and I could only eat one of each thing as they were all bland/ flavorless and room temp. I also ordered the chicharron and they were unseasoned, with sauces that tasted like they were left over from a week ago. The waitress was decent although the extra shot of top shelf tequila I asked for wasnt communicated (not sure if this was her dropping the ball or the bartender) but they corrected it after I mentioned my margarita tasted like nothing. I felt sick midway through eating and left 7/8 of the food ordered. It was very unappetizing. Not a pleasant experience. I would not recommend.

Woof. This was the worst Mexican food I ve had in decades. The server was super sweet, but so was my margarita. The queso was congealed by the time it made it to the table and could ve been velveeta or cheese whiz . I ordered the veggie fajitas which looked like the healthiest thing on the menu. It came sizzling but the side plate had definitely been sitting under a heater for too long. Refried beans were hard on the outside and the shredded cheese looked like it had been sitting out all day flaccid, sweaty, and curly. Our margaritas tasted like juice- so sweet. The salsa was super watered down, and the chips were stale. My friend s quesadilla was glistening with grease I m from New England and never would ve expected such a poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant in Texas Both of us feel wildly bloated and uncomfortable even tho we hardly touched the food. Also- atmosphere? This place is gigantic with no sound dampening panels so the super loud music just ricochets all over the room.

Went there August 1st 2024 for mine and my daughters birthdays, we were a party of 6. When we got there, the waitress took our drink orders pretty quickly and brought our drinks to us. We waited nearly 40 minutes for the waitress to come back to take our orders. I have never had to wait that long to get my order taken. My other child is diabetic and needed to eat as her sugar was dropping. So she had eaten the chips and salsa, by the time the food came it was super late. That was the worst service we ever had gotten from a restaurant here in town. The food was hot and fresh, but was kinda bland and couldve been less salty.

Great Mexican food. Big portions. Friendly staff. The restaurant is in an old concrete building, so the dinning room can get loud. My Carne Asada tacos were cooked to perfection. None of the food at our table was dry as other reviewers have pointed out, so they must have corrected the issue.

A good place to eat. Delicious dishes adapted for those who do not like spicy food. Exquisite margarita drinks. The attention is very good and the atmosphere is calm and familiar. We have repeated because we loved it. The only discordant thing about today, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., was the attitude of the lady at the reception, who seemed very uneducated and unprofessional to us. Otherwise, totally recommended. And we will return.

Had a reservation in place this weekend. Talked to the waiter because there was a miscommunication regarding having 5 more people arrive for the reservation. What is sad is that individuals at the reservation got up and left because of the way the manager was acting (Preciosa). Spoke to waiter about possibly getting another table. Waiter suggested only her boss could do anything about it. The manager in place Preciosa Carballo was rude and allowed the people who arrived to stand in place during the reservation. Preciosa stated to put us down for a wait time of 45 minutes to get another table. That never came to fruition. Spoke to her multiple times and she continued to be rude and walk way. As a manager who is running client services she should look to help accommodate others especially a restaurant who employs her to help bring more business. She is definitely in the wrong field of work. Highly do not recommend this place. Plenty of other options in Amarillo to have reservations do not choose this place.

Dont go. As other reviewers have mentioned, the food is pretty dry. Lots of hot sauce helps, but otherwise it was fairly tasteless. I had the fajita combo and the chicken was very dry, the steak was a bit chewy. The shrimp was good though.

I ordered the fajitas for one chicken for $17 and let me tell you ...its a joke. 1 extremely small over cooked chicken breast that is bland cut up over a ton of onions. Didnt get the tortillas and it is not worth it. On the flip side they did however replace the meal with another choice of mine.

Hostess was on her phone and rude. Food was horrible. Chile Relleno was soggy with water standing in the bottom of the plate. Chicken enchilada tasted like boiled unseasoned chicken breast. House margarita was tasteless, watery, and horrible. when I spoke to the server about these problems, all I was offered was half off of my entrée. no manager on site. I was passing through Amarillo. On my way back to San Antonio, and I stopped to spend the night at the Courtyard by Marriott across the street. I sat at the bar for a late night meal and got the fajita platter. I must say it was excellent and I was impressed by the service in the care the staff took to make sure I enjoyed my meal. I will make a special trip to Braceros anytime I am in Amarillo going forward.

Waiter didn t know what Mexico lindo was or how much so he left to find out. Came back and said it was tequila and soda water but still didn t know price. Ordered a margarita instead. Tasted no alcohol. Told waiter but he did nothing. Told bartender who said there were 5 bottles of generic tequila in a roughly 3 gallon container on the counter. He also said if I wanted to taste the alcohol, I should get a higher end alcohol. Ordered the Mexican burger (jalapeño, avocado, bacon, cheese) with no jalapeño. Burger came with jalapeño and no avocado. Save your money and time.

We went on a mid Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was relaxed, not too loud. It is VERY spacious, so youre not having to talk too loud to be heard. The chips for the appetizer were cold, I couldnt taste any salt on them. The hot sauce just tasted like tomato sauce. It took forever to get our food, at least a solid 30 mins. I ordered the Volcan, it was nice n bubbling hot but it didnt have much flavor. It was really bland. The corn tortillas werent very warm. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. I would probably eat there again, IF someone else was paying. If you cant have or cant handle spicy foods this place is for you. It would be a nice date place. Very family friendly, they have nice big tables available if youve got a big family/group. They have a separate bar area with a TV.

Worst restaurant experience my wife and I ever had. The hostess acted like we were a nuisance when we walked in. She sat us at a huge table for six when tables for two were available. We sat there for over 20 minutes waiting on a waitress to acknowledge us; but we were ignored while people around us were being waited upon. Absolutely a top-notch experience. I went there for lunch today because I hadnt ever been to this location. My server, Natasha, was as sweet and friendly and helpful as could be. I got the Nopales with a lamb chop on the side and both were delicious. Monday through Thursday they have a house Margarita for $2 but it was double that or more on the weekends so I skipped the drink and just enjoyed my food. Their chips and salsa are among my favorite especially the salsa. They have daily specials on the weekdays.

This place has some fantastic food, went with a group and although I departed early it seemed to be a decent time. For our groups purposes it was a bit loud, but thats not really a knock against a Bar and Grill. I cant remember what the half-taco nacho things were called... Or the thing I had ordered. We popped in on a Sunday afternoon with 7 people. We had to wait a few minutes-they were busy! There s plenty of space to wait and also they have a bar right there. Our waitress was very busy but very nice. They gave us loads of chips and literal vats of salsa- so fresh and delicious! Nice giant cups for drinks and quick on the re-fills too. Nobody at our table had been to this location The food was excellent. 3 of us ordered different enchilada plates and we all loved them. I had the mushroom and spinach enchiladas with salsa verde. The salsa had a nice kick! They weren t drenched in sauce, so you could taste everything. I liked that they used corn tortillas. The one thing I noticed is that the mushrooms were barely cooked. They were still a bit crunchy and while it s not a dealbreaker for me, I can see how other people might be put off by that. I m guessing it was a case of them being rushed in the kitchen and it s probably not always like that (guess I will have to come back to find out!) Even saying that, I still think these are the best veggie enchiladas in town! They have a big menu with pretty much anything you might desire. And also, if you re a vegetarian, they usually have decent options here. Another person in our party got the grilled veggie platter which is a great option too! The prices were very good too! For two large entrees it was $25. I can t remember the last time we got out of a restaurant with a ticket that cheap! Everyone was fat and happy when we left and agreed they would return!

The service @ the bar is always so poor everytime I come during the day. By the time someone gets around to getting my drink order I know I need to order two ahead of time because expecting a refill is delusional. If you want service during the day at the bar be prepared to have to flag someone down. However, the server (Giselle?) We actually stumbled on this place trying to go to a restaurant by it that was closed I was actually pleasantly surprised!! The food was great came out fast! Way better then what the place looks like from the outside! I would definitely go back!

The food was delicious! The service was top-notch. They had an awesome 2-man band playing good music. I had chicken mole enchiladas, a chicken sopa, and a Mexican Candy shot. Everything was so good!

I do not remember the plate... But it has options for three different meats. I chose lamb, quail, and beef. What a tasty surprise this restaurant is! Girlfriend and her mom loves it too. Great chips and salsa. Top level service.

Waitress was MIA the whole time. No refills, never received some of our food. Vegetarian options: There was aveggie only plate. Parking: Street parking only, must walk... Wheelchair accessibility: Had wheelchair doors and entry. Restroom was hard for wheelchair.

Our party of 35 to 40 showed up right at 10:55 a.m. and the hours clearly state, they dont open until 11 a.m. Bracero opened the doors early and got a large gathering area ready for the party. We never called to say we were coming, we just showed up. The service they showed by opening the doors early was very nice. As we waited inside for our tables to be ready, everyone began ordering drinks from the bar. The bartender, Rodolfo, was very attentive and made the drinks rapidly. He ended up being the waiter for our big party. The food came out hot, fresh, and made to order. There was not one order of 40 people that was wrong, cold, or needed to go back because it was wrong. Not enough can be said for our waiter Rudolfo. He was professional and did a fantastic job. We will definitely be back!!

A great spot for dinner, we came because we were on vacation and missing our local Taqueria something fierce. Braceros delivered! Love the fact that they give you two salsa bowls, so no dipping into someone else s. Service was fast and friendly. Get the beef fajitas here for sure; also their corn tortillas are wonderful!!

A tasty complement to Amarillos new downtown deco renewal and revival. Come hungry. Come curious. Come thirsty. Is all good. Parking: Plenty of free parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Be it known that the City of Amarillo, has made the downtown, more accessible to people with disabilities. The visually and physically challenged can now have the same access to sidewalks and traffic signals via technological innovations designed specifically for persons of special needs.
