Their waitress stole my money which was $74 from My wallet and I spoke to the kitchen manager in the general manager and they basically protected her saying she did not take anything and they dont even have cameras to even see what she took or did not take. But I know she took my money because when I looked in my wallet its not there and its wrong for them to allow her to take my money and so Im very disappointed with this hotel for allowing people to steal from others and I drove all the way from Oklahoma. Noteworthy details: Dont ever lose anything because they will steal it and The manager will not do anything about it.

Hotel was very nice and comfy and the breakfast was great. The Kitchen staff and room service were awesome and very polite . The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because the FRONT DESK employees make you feel like your annoying them even when your asking politely. Also if your staying more than one day be sure to call front desk to have your room clean. (They were annoyed by that as well) other than front desk I say this hotel was great place to stay with your family.

Just finished up a conference at this hotel. Long time since Ive stayed at an Embassy Hotel so I read the reviews and found many unflattering reviews. I found the hotel to be comfortable and clean, its staff accomodating and friendly. The meeting facilities were quite nice. The food for our group (approx 150) was prepared buffet style and was tasty and fresh. Dont think I heard any complaints. If I had a quibble it would be about parking which was at a garage nearby and run by the city of Amarillo for $17 per night. $11 per night but a new charge if you had to leave and return. I parked free on the street in front of the hotel. All in all, a pleasant stay at this no atrium Embassy Suites hotel. Rooms: My 6th floor two room suite was clean and quite comfortable. Safety: I had no feelings of the hotel or area being unsafe Noteworthy details: Free breakfast with made to order omelet station plus the two free drinks at happy hour was on point.

This is by far the best 3 star hotel Ive stayed so far. First and foremost the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, from the general manager to reception and even the valet, they were all very friendly and felt welcomed. The hotel is very modern looking (which I love) and everything was super clean, it also smelled very good which is a first on a 3 star hotel. I stayed on the premium floor and my room was EXTREMELY clean, not a single stray hair which I have to give the cleaning staff big props! I also had Kate reach out to me through text throughout my stay to make sure everything was good and could reach her if I needed something. All in all this is going to be the hotel I stay in when I do my yearly visit to Palo Duro and Caprock Canyon. The only inconvenience is self parking, you can pay for valet or self park. I chose to self park since the parking lot is right across the hotel, but having to get parking validated every single time can get annoying. I wish there was some kind of automated system to avoid that. Still, highly recommended hotel! Rooms: Clean rooms Walkability: Really easy to walk on the streets outside the hotel at all times of the day.

STAY AWAY. We got food poisoning in the restaurant. When I complained, the manager acted like I was running an elaborate scam. No hot water for my shower in the morning. They offered to fix it and acted frustrated when I pointed out my husband was asleep in the room after a long night in the bathroom recovering from their restaurant. Safety: The neighborhood is not safe. If you end up here, do not go walking at night.

The room was huge, updated, dark @ night, 2 great TVs & lots of drawer space. Lobby bar had good drinks. We ordered a hamburger (good), fries (so good) & pizza (ok but wouldn t order again) to go to eat in room. Very pet friendly with lots of green space for them across the street. We ll stay here again in 2 weeks on our return back home. Well done!

We have had to drive from Phoenix to New York and back; as a Hilton Honors member we book through the app when traveling. This hotel was the MOST expensive throughout the ENTIRE trip. However, the pool, the onsite laundry, the hearing accessible room for my deaf husband etc. on top of location, was why we bit the bullet. Upon arrival I called the front desk regarding laundry; out of order . Ok. What level is the pool on? First, but out of order . in addition, the tv in the bedroom didn t have ANY working close captioning; for a hearing accessible room. If I had KNOWN all of these things ahead of time I would have saved my money and NOT stayed there.

This was service with a smile and more! I have to give a special shout out to BEAR, he was the concierge that went above and beyond the moment we were at the check in desk. I asked the lady for change behind the desk and she said no, they are cashless. I said I wanted to tip the staff. BEAR came over and gave me change! I asked about the happy hour social thing they do later, could my daughter get something? She said no its for adults and gave me a coupon for drinks. BEAR came over and said she could definitely get a Shirley Temple or a Roy Roger drink! I was waiting for my husband to park the truck and BEAR said no worries, he would take our luggage up to our room while I waited with my girls in the lobby. The bartender later was extremely sweet to my daughter and gave her extra cherries. Its the little things that go such a long way! Please give these great employees the kudos they deserve because its customer service that proves kindness and keeps people coming back!

We stopped here in our way to Houston. The location is great, there are a lot of restaurants around. It was an ok stay overall but first, the fact that they had a pool was one of the main reasons why we booked this hotel and it happened to be closed, in the middle of July in Texas and when you are traveling with kids terrible The rooms were big and fairly clean but the AC wasn t working properly, it got cold but it won t stop when reaching the temperature you set, it just keeps working non stop and it s pretty loud. Then the breakfast, even though it seems great at first because they have certain variety and they make omelettes per request, the rest of the items: sausages, muffins, pancakes, sponge cakes etc were either cold or stale. Again, It was not a bad experience overall but they have a lot to improve.

We have routinely stayed at this hotel when in Amarillo. We won t any longer. I m a loyal Hilton member as well. Our latest stay was chaotic. We had called days ahead to request a crib for our youngest and confirmed that it would be available. It was not available when we checked in and no one called ahead of time to let us know. No big deal we figured we would just make a soft pallet on the floor for our youngest. It took two hours of back and forth to get sheets and blankets. I never saw less than six people waiting in line at the reception desk. This place is poorly managed. I know things get busy, but the hotel knows how many reservations they have. We also were missing a TV remote. It wasn t even worth calling them about. Just unacceptable service for a Hilton hotel.

We are having a terrible experience here at the Amarillo Embassy Suites. Toilet was backed up upon arrival to our room. Maintenance responded and said the toilet was clogged with soap from the housekeeper. The Tech stated this happens all the time and that these toilets are junk and the water refill doesn t work half the time. Tech stated he would call us with a new room. We waited around another 30 min and no one called. Went down stairs the lady at the desk said she would call and let us know when our room is ready and that we could go to dinner. Well she never called and when we get back from dinner the lady at desk said sorry I didn t call we are busy. She said that unfortunately no more rooms so we could not be switched. She stated the Tech said toilet is clear now but just takes long time to fill up. I asked if anything can be done she stated no. I said not even cover the parking nope. I asked for manager he said same thing nope nothing could be done. I asked for the GM card and the guy said he not going to do anything for you. I m like good deal. We get back to our room booked for 6 and there was no sheets or pillows for the couch bed. Call the desk again and they stated it would be a hour for us to get sheets even if we go to the desk to pick up. Long story short there are tons of hotels around here try some where else. This hotel does not represent Embassy Suites brand or customer service standards what so ever. I ll update the review if Tom Wenzel the GM gives me a call and makes it right. Update: GM Tom Wenzel called me on Monday. He listened, acknowledged, and owned his team s miss falls. Tom thank you for your follow up and Ownership to the Embassy brand. Sir I m moving you to 3 stars and we will try you again at another time.

Rooms: Not fully stocked, shower head was broke, safe locked, laundry room out of order, only one phone works, its either a sauna or a freezer on the room regardless if I have control of it or not. View was the rooftop which was less than appealing, missing blanket and one bed had hair in it still. For being a 2 room suit I am pretty disappointed. If I had been paying out of pocket for this I would have thrown a fit. Food and drinks: There is also a bartender who has no clue what she is doing. I only saw her 1 time the 10 days I was here but whatever drink she served me was curtled and definitely not a cherry limeade. Noteworthy details: Elevator button was broken in main lobby and the waterfall was not working. Looked gross and tacky.

The hotel itself is nice with little wear and tear. Location is walkable to restaurants. The breakfast was good with a nice variety. Staff at the front desk did not explain much at check in. Dislikes: Hot tub was cold, our safe wouldn t open, housekeeping only comes on the 3rd day which we were not told about, requested late checkout which was kindly approved but at 11:00 (normal check out) housekeeping knocked on the door twice thinking we checked out and then my key card was disabled so I got locked out of my room trying to load the car. You have to park across the street in a garage and if you pay the $17 daily rate to the hotel, every time you exit/enter the garage you have to get a ticket which then must be validated by the front desk or else you have to pay the machine in the garage. This was a hassle as we were in/out a lot and had to stand in line for the front desk to validate the ticket. Maybe some type of machine that could validate your ticket would be helpful or let the valet validate it. Overall nice hotel just lots of issues this stay.

Very disappointing experience. We have been loyal Hilton patrons since 2011, and Ive never felt the need to leave a negative review. The initial check-in was fine, but the front desk staff seemed inconvenienced when asked to provide linens for the pull-out sofa. This would have been insignificant, but we then found a dried blood stain on the bed sheets. My husband contacted the front desk, and the staff member was patronizing. The replacement sheets arrived 40 minutes later. We should have left, but we were exhausted. My husband spoke with the manager this morning but was unimpressed by his overall response. We were offered a point refund, which I can not yet see, but I did appreciate the attempt to make a bad situation better. I now see there are several other negative reviews regarding staff interactions and cleanliness. I wish we had looked at the reviews before booking.

First all yes it is your problem you over booked your hotel and gave your reserved rooms to walk ins, also this was the manager that told us to go sit back down or find somewhere else. My family and I went this past weekend to stay at this Embassy Suites in Amarillo for Mothers Day weekend and it was not the standard that Im am accustomed to from Hilton (even after being booked on the embassy suites by Hilton website). First, the room type I selected changed, and I was not notified. Secondly, when brought to the attention of the staff they were unwilling to have any remorse or empathy or willing to accommodate further. They made mention of crediting points to pur loyalty account which does not suffice for the inconvenience by any means. Next, the room smelled awful, and the shower head and attachments were barely staying on the wall and water going everywhere. Guest internet did not work, and to make matters worse, again met with poor customer service and a lack of urgency (we never got internet access even after leaving multiple messages with front desk staff). Finally, valet, I go and give the gentlemen my key fob and requested valet service (literally placed the key in his hand). We get up to the room, and she realizes she forgot something in the car. Upon realizing, she calls downstairs for the valet and they cant find my car. My wife then goes downstairs and is gone for about 25 minutes. Upon her return, she tells me that the car is still there...the valet hands her back the key and says oh I didnt know the dude you was with wanted the car parked she sharply replied that would be my husband and why would he just hand you the key. He responds laughing I dont know but theres a garage overthere and walks away. Way to treat a woman during mothers day weekend. Needless to say, faith has been lost in this Embassy Suites Amarillo and that staff (including the managers that I spoke with a female in the am and a gentleman both afternoon and upon arrival) needs immediate customer service Retraining and communication Retraining. To not inform guest of changes made last minute or not is core to ensuring a good stay. Again, very very disappointed during a mothers day weekend.

We called to verify pool hours before booking. If I call about whe the ameneties are available and you find say A WORD about them being out of order I am being ripped off. I paid more to stay here specifically for them. I have back issues that this long drive is uncomfortable. I paid extra for a room somewhere I could reduce that pain with heat. No one bothered to say the hot tub AND the sauna are both broken. The sauna doesnt even have a sign. The door just refuses your card, so you have to go ask the front desk. Who ONLY THEN mentions both are broken so casually its callous. If you want to stay here and use the pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, or any other amenity, you better specifically ask about each and every one before you give them your money.

This was an infuriating experience. Checked in, was given key. Got upstairs to the room (dirty towels on the floor outside the rooms) and it was two queen beds when the reservation was for a king bed. When we went downstairs to ask them there was no explanation or an apology, simply we sold out of king beds. They comped us $30 without an apology and that was it. Horrible customer service and I cant believe that upon check-in they wouldnt have the customer service to say hey, by the way, were out of kings, so sorry about that. The parking lot is also across the street from the hotel and not really connected but run by the city. So just know youre going to be lugging your stuff across the street if you dont drop it off first. I would not recommend based on this customer experience alone.

Don t bother booking online or paying extra for the room you want!! I tried twice to stay here while I was driving to and from my vacation in Colorado. Both times I pre booked a king suite and both times I was told that the room I booked wasn t available. The lady at the front desk was RUDE. I m young and I feel like I was definitely taken advantage of. I was offered nothing for compensation. I was told I wouldn t have to pay more for my new room but I wasn t going to be refunded any money either. SHOCKER checked online and my original room was more expensive than the room they gave me. I did room service the first night we stayed. It was overpriced and not great. My burger was awful and the chicken lollipop things were dry. Not to mention they said it would be up in less than 30 minutes and it was right at an hour before it showed up. I m ashamed of myself for staying here a second night thinking it would be better than the first. Save your self the headache and stay somewhere else!

Wow everything about this hotel was outstanding! Rooms are large and updated, location is great and safe. Pool is nice but it s a little colder than we liked but pool hours were great 6am-11pm! We didn t get room service but the menu looked really good and affordable. Staff were very nice. Only room complaint is temperature control. When the air was on we were freezing and it wouldn t shut off but if we shut it off we were burning up. A lot of back and forth from bed to thermostat all night. We will definitely stay here next time! Can t wait to come back !

We needed a place to stop for the night driving back from Spring Break. It s not always easy to find a place that sleeps six, but Embassy Suites could accommodate us. I made the reservation from the road and arrived 5-6 hours later. We got checked in only to find out there were only three towels in the bathroom and no linens for the pull out sofa. I went down to the desk to get them and was told housekeeping would bring them to me. It was after 10pm at this point and we were waiting on sheets (but no pillows) to get the kids to bed. I feel like if a reservation comes in that indicates how many people are coming the room should be ready to go, or at least have them ready to take up at check in. The room was nice, but the bathroom had a barn door which did not lock and offered minimal privacy. The bathroom also did not have an exhaust fan. Since parking was across the street we didn t make it for breakfast by the time we got loaded up.

This will be our new stay each time we come to Amarillo. As a diamond member with Hhonors Rewards, I have stayed at many Hilton portfolio hotels! This hotel is definitely one of my favorite. Hands down the best hotel in Amarillo. Savanah was very friendly and accommodating. She was likely one of the kindest and most genuine hotel employees I have ever had. Wash of the staff members was kind and friendly. The ladies cooking breakfast went above and beyond. When I mentioned taking my disabled mother breakfast to our room, they quickly asked would you like a to-go box ? Each person anticipated my needs and attempted to help to fulfill my needs. Kudos to all. This is a great clean hotel. The only downside is the expensive valet parking. I do completely understand this. Each valet worker was kind and helpful as well. This is truly the best hotel in Amarillo. Noteworthy details: Hot Tub Cook to Order Breakfast Bar Valet Parking

So regardless of the name on the sign out front this is not an embassy suite. Everyone knows an embassy suite has an atrium. We were driving from Texas up to Colorado and specifically chosen embassy suites so that the kids could enjoy the atmosphere and the atrium, unfortunately there wasnt one. Ive never seen an embassy suites without one! Really disappointed. However, the hotel was nice and seemed newly remodeled in the rooms were just fine. My other issue was as a diamond member I really got nothing for being here. They dont even have parking for diamond members. Oh yeah, another super disappointing fact is their breakfast is over at 9:00. Ive never heard of such. Most times breakfast should go to 10:30 or 10 at least like most restaurants. So it was a mixed bag not sure I would stay here again due to the parking and the breakfast ending so early.

When I think thats some of the managers could be helping do some of these things where theyre shorthanded. At least thats the way that Ive been trained and most of my employment positions. Its its an excellent place to wine and dine. But your employees are being well overworked.Your laundry management needs to be changed.Their Inexperienced.

My husband stayed at this hotel from 10/12/23 to 10/15/23 for a family wedding at the ballpark across the street. While staying there, the hotels valet totaled my husbands truck. His truck was slammed into a concrete column at a high rate of speed and was totaled on the spot. My husband spent a lot of time dealing with hotel staff, police and even had to go with the valet manager to go get a rental car on his own dime because the manager was not old enough to get a rental car. As a result, he missed several wedding events and part of the actual wedding reception over two days. The hotels manager, Thom, agreed to refund my husbands hotel charges after the incident. As of today, 3/14/24, Thom has still not refunded the hotel charges. He has not returned the numerous voicemails or calls made about the issue. He has completely ignored us. Absolutely atrocious customer service and clearly does not give a darn about what happened to us at his hotel. The final insult, they never even refunded the valet charges.

HORRIBLE PLACE!! Took 15min to check in. Finally get to our room, only to be greated by 2 fans and a soaking wet carpet. They tell us AFTER we call them that there was a spill earlier in the day. They didnt try to use towels or even swap out the carpet. Told us there werent any rooms available and they would give us a free night at any Hilton hotel. Which is all fine and good, but the room was trash. 2 towels for a room with 5 people. Had to call and get towels. No bedding for the fold out sofa bed. Had to call for that too. Sheets on the bed werent even fitted sheets and they werent even tucked! This place is TERRIBLE! We couldnt check out fast enough! Will NEVER recommend this place and absolutely WONT be coming back!!! Also...they claimed the manager wasnt there in the morning to approve the free night, but assured us that it will be taken cared of. Havent heard from a manager or anyone else for that matter...

I cant say enough about the Embassy Hotels. The rooms are always spacious and clean. The breakfast is top-notch! You cant ask for better. Rooms: Always spacious and clean. It is also great to have two separate rooms, so if someone is ready for bed and the other person is not, you can just close the door on the bedroom and go to sleep while they do whatever they were doing in the living room. Safety: These hotels are always welcome lit, including the parking lots. They are always in a good location. I always feel safe when visiting an Embassy Hotel. Food and drinks: The breakfast is to die for, top-notch! I dont drink, but they offer 2 free drinks at happy hour. Noteworthy details: These hotels are great for the price. If you spend a little more for this hotel, you will see that it is worth it. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room and either a king or 2 queen beds in their suites. The breakfast itself is worth a few extra dollars. Overall, you get your moneys worth!

Unfortunate Experience at Embassy Suites Amarillo I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Embassy Suites Amarillo hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the level of service and attention to detail that I encountered during my stay. Firstly, I was taken aback by the rude behavior displayed by the desk staff and valet. Their lack of interest in assisting guests was evident, and it left a negative impression right from the start. It is disheartening to encounter such unprofessionalism in a hotel that is supposed to prioritize guest satisfaction. Furthermore, I encountered multiple issues with the room that required immediate attention. I called the front desk several times to report HVAC issues and a dirty bathroom, hoping for a prompt resolution. However, my requests went unnoticed and unaddressed. The staff promised to send someone to fix the problems but no one ever arrived. This lack of follow-through raises concerns about the hotels ability to manage guest concerns effectively. It also became apparent that the hotel was facing a staff shortage, which likely contributed to the subpar service. The shortage of quality help was evident, and it significantly impacted the overall guest experience. It is disappointing to see a hotel of this caliber struggling to maintain an adequate staff level to meet guest needs. To add to my frustration, no manager was on duty during my stay. I was handed a business card from the front desk, which I later used to reach out for assistance. However, my attempts to contact the manager via phone calls and email went unanswered. This lack of responsiveness further reflects the lack of accountability within the hotels management team. Overall, my experience at Embassy Suites Amarillo was marred by the rude desk staff, unresponsive management, and a shortage of quality help. It is disheartening to witness a hotel that falls short in meeting the basic expectations of guest service. I hope that these issues are addressed promptly, as no guest should have to endure such a disappointing experience. I sincerely hope that future guests have a more positive stay and that the necessary improvements are made to ensure a higher level of service and guest satisfaction at Embassy Suites Amarillo.

This place is horrible. Reserved a two queen bed room and paid more for it vs one king. Check in and the girl informs me that there are no two queen bed room types left and I have to have a king. I said what is the point of me making a reservation for a specific room type if I dont get it. She said they dont guarantee room types! Then we get to our room and the king bed had to be over 30 years old and a huge wear in the middle of the bed (being so old and worn). AC didnt work, was 78 plus degrees in the room. You have to pay for parking (across the street from the hotel) and there was no mention of this while making a reservation. The free breakfast was a joke. There was a line so long, breakfast hours were over before it was our turn in line to eat. Dont stay here unless you hate yourself.

This hotel is in a great location downtown across from the convention center. We had a room on the sixth floor, which was nice enough, however the ice machine was broken on the floor and we were told to go down to the fifth floor for ice. If you have an amenity not working it would be best to notify the guests on arrival. Otherwise, fix or replace it. My main beef is their lack of transparency. As others have stated, the parking situation is not clear, and the staff, apparently with the approval of management, doesn t explain the parking options or pricing for parking. You can park on the street for free after five, but we arrived late and were forced to park in the garage across the street. When you pull in there is a sign that says Embassy Suites parking to the right. There is a sign on the wall that says MAXIMUM parking rate is $11.00. I also saw that you should give your parking receipt to the front desk for validation. Most hotels that do this cover your parking or tell you the fee. The girl at the front desk didn t say a word about a fee, so I assumed parking was free for guests. Only when I received my receipt after checking out did I see that parking was $17.00. I feel that was sneaky and deceptive. Also, the evening reception is now 5-6:30 PM; used to be longer. I have stayed here annually when traveling in the past, but this was my last stay.

Was so surprised to see all the negative reviews about Embassy Suites in Amarillo. Spent a night here since my family and I were going to an event across the street at the civic center, which was a huge bonus to how convenient that was and we had a great stay! The kind gentleman who checked us was so friendly! I wish I could remember his name. I was traveling with my service animal and he was so accommodating in getting us a room near the elevator, plus making comments on my cute pup which is always appreciated. The happy hour was great, there was only 2 bartenders on a busy night so there was a bit of a wait for drinks but that was perfectly understandable. Breakfast on the day of check-out was tasty! Not a huge selection, but the omelet bar is pretty cool. Valet was quick and friendly too, both on check-in and check-out. Room is spacious and clean, beds are comfy and overall would stay again. My only comment was that when we arrived there was only 1 of 3 elevators working, it kind of sucked at first because it was super busy. Eventually though they opened another one and that seemed to really help the queue of people waiting to use one. Nearby activities: Right across from Civic Center makes super convenient walk.

Please read reviews before booking here. I contacted Hilton service as I hope there is no way they are aware of how unfortunate the Amarillo location is. Checked in at 4:00 after driving 13hrs, sheets has yellow stains on them, there were hand prints smudges on the glass mirrors, drip stains ext. I called guest services to replace the sheets and ask for both beds to be redone and they said they d send someone up. An hour later I went downstairs to speak to someone individually and show them the photos. Cat had no apologetic tone, nor apology to give. She rushed me away, said someone would be up there and acted as if I bothered her by even complaining about my dirty sheets. Another hour passed so I called again and she said She was going to send someone right up. We ended up leaving the room exhausted to walk downstairs and maybe grab a bite to eat through the restaurant. Waited 10 minutes to be seated and no host came to seat us. So already day one isn t smooth sailing. We resorted to Burger King for food. While waiting for the sheets, we went to go look at the pool To find a city violation, and the pool being closed but people were inside swimming. The front desk seems to think it was OK to put a sign over the City sign that said it may not be defaced stating pool closed, and explain it was only the hot tub. This is not safe for guests, and the City closes pools for good reason if need be. (I work in multi-family and well aware how city closures work) I asked the front desk if the pool was open, they said absolutely. We booked this over the Barfield with great regret. Parking like other reviews state is across the street and can be validated at the front desk, but will be $17 per day plus a tax fee. You have to find this out by getting your final receipt as the front desk has no interest and explaining the details to you. Will only let you know that they validate at the front desk. We gave up asking for help, as there is none to give. Just finished our non refundable stay with frustration and disappointment. We have never stayed at a bad embassy, and hopefully with the complaint to Hilton they truly will re-train the staff on values, cleanliness and safety of guests. Pros: Breakfast is great. As usual with an embassy stay. This was the one thing that they did right.

The hotel room itself was fine. The problem was the quality of the dine-in service at the time of our visit. When our family arrived, there were only 3 or 4 tables sitting, and yet we had to wait about 10 minutes to be sitted. (1) the waiter eventually came back to get our orders 5-10 minutes later but realized she had never given us the menu. She apologized but it took someone else another 5 minutes to return with menus. At that point, we already knew what we wanted from looking at their website, so we ordered. We also ordered drinks. (2) 40 minutes went by and no one had returned with the drinks. My wife insisted that we stayed because we had already ordered. I stayed quiet because i was interested to see where this was leading. (2) same waiter returns at around 40 minutes and asked if we needed anything. I said we needed the drinks. She was surprised and asked what we had ordered from her, so i repeated the order. Now another 10 minutes go by and still no drinks. (3) she finally returned with the pizza i had ordered for my daughter and said the main course (2x salads) were still being cooked but she wanted my daughter to have the pizza before it got too cold. [A] it was not the pizza we ordered, [B] the pizza was already very cold. My daughter was very hungry so we allowed her to eat. (4) another 15 minutes go by and she returns with the salads. The salads were already dry. It looked like they had been sitting for at least an hour. (5) she asks AGAIN and if we were waiting on drinks. The answer was obviously yes, so this time she was very apologetic, and got the waters and soda immediately. We only ate half the food because we were very hungry, but the food was horrible. My wife insisted that she didnt want me to argue, so I didnt. The lady comes back with the check and said she was sorry for the delay so she wouldnt charge us for the drinks (2 waters and 1 soda). What a horrible experience staying and dining at this place.

Where to start. Even with a confirmation number the extremely rude front desk girl who looked like a homeless teen with scsry clown makeup could not find our reservation so she booked me under a new one and charged me almost 60 more a night under a basic rate. (Found this out the next day) Then charged as a no show on my original reservation, havent been been able to get a return call to fix any of this). A 2 night stay cost me 500 for a king room plus 150 hold for incidentals. It was only supposed to be 250 at best. This is how you let your staff treat retired veterans. To top it off I called ahead to confirm the room confirmation number and that the sauna and hot tub were up and running. After being treated with zero respect I gathered my things and headed ro the room to unpack. The valet could not park/fit my 350 anywhere so cost or not cost I had to park in an unlite parking spot across a very busy dangerous street surrounded by homeless people. No parking for large vehicles at a Amirillo Texas Hilton embassy suites. Hilton honors member reservation wasnt used so no courtesy bag for me this time either. What ranchers drive fiats. Anywho more than upset at this point I unpack and head down to calm in the hot tub. I asked the same rude night girl where it was and she pointed me in the direction. Failed to tell me at that point it was shut down. So I walked all the way over there for nothing. Beyond furious at this point I went to ask her why she didnt tell me that when I asked. She took 30 minutes flirting with a guy checking in so I went to ask the bar tender for the mangers information. She was very polite and helpful. Finally talked to the night manger who unfortunately was the rude girl at the desk. She snidly remarks well the pool is open. I said I didnt ask you about the pool. She got nasty I asked for the assistant manager she said she was the manager. I said then your boss. She throws a card on the counter. I called and no one ever got back to me. I then got the GMs card, no return call. I got the number for the women over them. Still no return call. Lets see then we got drink vauchers. I dont drink alcohol or soda so a drinking voucher was useless. I just wanted water and that wouldve been $6 a bottle. No where except the bathroom sink to get water. I dont even drink sink water at home. Offered nothing non alcoholic complimentary except at breakfast. Kind bartender let me use the voucher the next few nights for juice. Breakfast was amazing. Wait staff were awesome. Shower water was luke warm at best, room was mediocre, towels were hard, soap dispensers were empty, $6 bottled water had the seal broken on one of them so I didnt want to purchase that. I was so thirsty I drank sink water. Decided to go calm down by the firepit with my sink water and there were Homeless people sleeping smoking and eating all around it so I went back inside not feeling safe or happy at all anymore. I just wanted to go back home at this point. But I had an appt the next day and Saturday too. Couldnt move hotels because this one put a 700 hold on my card for the stay and incidentals for 3 days stay. Went to the dining hall for dinner the following night. Again wait staff were awesome. Food was meh. Expensive and very small portions. The salad was no bigger than a side salad for $12 and the $16 pizza was over sauced and 8 slices a little larger than a personal pan. Took 45 minutes to get because they accidently put bbq sauce on it instead of marinara. Didnt eat there again. Bed was comfy but the doors dont stay closed in the bathroom or the bedroom. No tea in the room and I like tea before bed. Disappointed again and all this pretty much the first night. Rest of the weekend was more of the same except I went to the store and bought some waters so I wasnt thirsty. I would love a call back maybe someone can do something to make some of this right. Probably will just get the same generic response everyone does. I will continue to try to reach out to management.

I m not sure what I think about this hotel. For starters it is technically downtown so you have to park across the street from the hotel. That sucks carrying luggage across the street. The evening reception was limited to 2 drinks per person staying in the room. I ve never been limited at an Embassy Suites reception as I often try to recoup the cost of the room in beverages. Room was decent and quiet. Shower had an unusable handheld sprayer. Not sure what was up with that. The parking was 16 dollars to charge to the room so we decided just to do it on the app only to find out it s only 11 to park in the lot and pay there. Felt like I got scammed so I went to get my money back from the hotel for overcharging me to park. Worker claimed to have removed the charge but got an invoice with the charge on it. Most of the employees I encountered were not friendly including the desk worker on the evening of 11/17/23. I felt like he interrogated me to make sure I belonged on the property. If you don t care about service then this place is fine to stay at. I think this hotel could really be elevated with more staff training.

Unfortunately they oversold the king suites and downgraded me with no offer or effort to fix the problem. An upgraded room was available but although I m a Hilton Honors member, the reservation was made with airline miles so they couldn t upgrade me. Very disappointing.

Hotel Lobby area is nice but that s about it. Room was not very clean (sticky stuff stuck on the night stands) and the ice machine on floor 6 did not work and it was covered with grime. I accidentally left a bottle of Zo face wash in the shower (this stuff isn t cheap!) and when I called to ask about it, surprise, surprise, housekeeping said they didn t see it. Would not recommend

My coworkers and I stayed here for a company event. I called days ahead to discuss paying at the hotel with a company card and was told to fill out an authorization form. First co worker arrived day of event and was unable to use card. The front desk person, ashlynn declined to call and get it authorized or do anything about this. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. I then called and explained the entire situation to her. She was also rude and kept trying to cut me off while i was trying to fix this issue. Come to find outthe authorization form that was sent to me wasnt a complete form, and not in the system. After much back & forth she then told me i wouldnt need the cardholder and dl of that person when we checked in (not sure why this was never given to me as an option when i had called so many times before). Once another coworker arrived i expected to show our company card to get all my coworkers checked in and the original co workers card on file replaced with with our business card. Instead a new person at the counter called to verfiy the card and the process was pain free. Im once again unsure why this was never told to us as an option and my first co worker wasnt given the option for a phone call for authorization. We had multiple groups of people, even from other states, choose to stay at the embassy because i recommend the hotel. We all wont be staying here any longer. The unprofessionalism is extremely disappointing given that the hotel its self is always great.

The room was great and clean. Very spacious. Nice and quiet though they need to check Air conditioning or thermostats I heard several complaints where they shut off at night and or didnt get cold. Mine was like that too. Food and drinks: Like many other reviews, dinner was just OK. For such a big hotel, I expected more. Breakfast, though, was awesome. Food was great and excellent variety.

Beautiful hotel very conveniently located. We stayed only one night in a 2 bedroom suite, very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is the best! there is someone cooking your eggs right there. the rest of the buffet is delicious too. just FYI you have to pay for parking, but if you stay in the street parking is free from 10pm to 8am, we only had to pay 2 hours which was about 3 dlls.

Despite the hotel location and elegance, the woman in the desk was super rude to me. I wish I could remember her name. I ask her to confirm a reservation for me and she immediately corrected me in a rude way, check in. I apologize for my English and I proceeded with my name and ID. She told me if the reservation wasnt under my name I wasnt able to check in. The person who booked the hotel for me was a cousin. I havent had this issue in any other hotel ever. The face of the hotel for me is the very person welcomes you on it. So, for me the wonderful hotel collapsed and all its glamorous image too.

Being a Hiltons Honor member we have stayed at Hilton properties all over. This particular location surpassed all of our expectations! The hotel is just beautiful! The lobby is very modern and there is an art exhibition on the first floor. After a long drive it was nice to stretch our legs, walking around the lobby looking at art. The beds were extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! Rooms: The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful property with the accommodations and amenities you would expect at an Embassy Suites. The check-in process is designed for valet parking. The street parking around the property is free on weekends. Parking garage next to the hotel offers $11 overnight parking. The traditional breakfast bar was very nice. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the patron demands, but the experience was pleasant. Rooms: The room was very clean and inviting.

Chose this property over other Hilton properties in town for two reasons: the pool and the managers reception/social mixer. At checkin, we were met by a very grumpy and unfriendly staff member at the front desk. No warm welcome, no thanks for your loyalty, nothing at all. Just an attitude, two keys and our bottles of water (am diamond). People like this should really stop working in the hospitality industry, we felt really unwelcome and that immediately sets the atmosphere. The social mixer hours were no longer 5.30 to 7.30, as stated by a hotel representative on Tripadvisor a year ago (the only online source we could find, as this info is not on the hotels own website). However, it seems to have been changed, as current hours were 5-6.30. We arrived at 6.45. Room was fine, standard Embassy suites 2-room suite. There is ample street parking which is free over the weekend. Everything clean. Shower was weird though, the tray that goes into the drain was taken out and standing upright in the shower and the drain did smell a bit when I turned on the water. The pool, the main reason for choosing this property, was extremely busy with kids at 7pm. No prob, so we returned late at night (10.30) for a quick swim and hot tub, expecting the kids to be gone by then. But both the pool and hot tub were still completely filled up with young kids (and their parents standing and sitting at the side), all making a lot of noise, splashing around and rendering the pool unsuable for actual swimming. Mind you, this was 10.30pm, way past any normal bedtime for kids that age. It seems that some parents find its normal for kids aged 4, 5 or 6 years old to still be awake, and even in a hotel pool late at night. Anyway, this makes the pool a non-amenity for adults. An easy solution would be to desginate the pool area adults only after 9pm or so. Until the hotel imements such a policy, forget about swimming or relaxed soaking in the hot tub. Overall not a really satisfying stay, mainly due to Miss Grumpy at the front desk and the kid-infested pool, even late at night Not worth the premium price over orher Hilton properties in town, at least not for the amenities.

Purpose & Length of stay: weekend youth hockey games; one night Positives: Location was awesome. We were able to walk to the rinks we played at as well as nearby restaurants. We utilized street parking. Breakfast was amazing! Probably the best inclusive breakfast Ive experienced. I had a freshly made egg white omelet with crispy bacon, potatoes, yogurt, and fruit. Plenty of options for drinks (water, juice, sodas, hot drinks). They also had a free happy hour but we unfortunately missed it. Hotel was clean and the lobby was nice and roomy. Bed was comfy. Negatives: Unfortunately, I did not sleep well due to snoring family, tv blasting next door, road noise, and people talking/yelling loudly from the street (there was a festival going on during our stay). The walls are very thin here and I forgot to be more specific on location of room. We were on the third floor in front of the entrance. If theres a next time, I would ask to be placed elsewhere within the hotel. Also, we had a king sized room. Furniture placement was a bit awkward and claustrophobic but for one night, it was tolerable. While the shower looks nice, the water sprays out towards the door and water escapes the shower creating a pool of water on the bathroom floor. If I was able to get better sleep, Id probably raise my review one star.

One of the best Embassy Suites that I have been to - but we made a mistake with the parking. We told them we would use it when we booked, but the clerk told us we could just park on the street for free, which we did. They charged us anyways and now we have to wait up to 5 days (after spending 45 in a chat trying to fix it - the chat, which came across as a bot even asked us if we were a bot) to see if we can get the money refunded. The people there were very nice and helpful, the service to get the refund afterwards is atrocious. Rooms: The room that we had was huge. There was enough room for 6 other people. It was nicely appointed and well maintained.
