Waited awhile to get service to pay, then sat down and when we got our food came back the hamburger was so so small that the bun was bigger! Plus the meat was burnt and inside was still raw!!! Lettuce was nasty from salad bar was brown and saggy. On top they didnt even have the grill on for steaks or any kinda meats.

Ive always liked Golden Corral and the Amarillo location was consistent with what I expected. Food was great, salad bar great, & desert bar great. I expecially like the early bird special for the 60+ crowd. We can eat much better than any fast food meal at GC for very close to the same price.

Hi, my mother works there and just recently sorta been let go. Of false accusations. She has a receipt of her paying for her food. She also has had numerous seizures out there due to them not wanting to fix there. AC. This place is being reported due to negligence of my moms. Health and due to discrimination of race. My mom has been the best server most customers has ever seen. When they come in they look for her. But for them to have mistreated my mom and they have fired alot of others for the color of there skin. And that is unacceptable. There are being reported to the city. Stay tuned....

Our server Sherie was very kind and attentive . She kept my drink refilled and checked on us often and it was busy as it was lunch rush. The food was hot and fresh and they were keeping everything filled up as it ran low or out. Bathroom was cleaner than I ve seen it in a long while but still could use some fixing and updating. It was cooler in there than it has been in a while. Overall a great experience.

I live in a town with very little home cooking restaurants. Coming to Amarillo and seeing Golden Corral was so exciting for me. I was elated to find my old favorites and tasting that guaranteed flavor. I am looking forward to returning to a place where the food reminds me of home. My husband and I had baked fish, fried fish, fried shrimp, pot roast, meatloaf, sausage, broccoli, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, okra, and finished it off with cobbler and ice cream.

Food was meh.. Definitely not worth the money charged. None of the signs that identified what the food was were correct. They need a new AC system. Yes it was a very hot day, however any place that has a buffet system needs to have a much more robust system to pull the humidity out of the air and be able to keep the dining area cool. But it was in the 80s inside when we were there and the humidity was around 60%. Very unpleasant.

I havent been to a Golden Corral restaurant in years. We received amazing and courteous service, the food was great and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Octavio the manager made his rounds and made us feel at home. He shared a few things and he was surprised that we have a lot in common. That made our day. We ve been to many Golden Corrals in our life. Most are so so. This one was the best we ve eaten at. Spacious, friendly, hot food. Staff was great. Mya our server was great and she went above and beyond to get cotton candy for our daughter. Another staff from the dessert area brought carrot cake over to hubby once she got a new one out. Heidi the manager was nice and very thankful for our kind words. We said most people that talk to the. Manager is for complaining, we were the opposite. It s just a same we live 15 hours away. We went on a Friday night.

I used to go to G.C. back home and everyone dressed decently, not like recipients of Walmarts Worst Dressed, I feel for the employees there. Some foods were too done while some were under-done, the Cole slaw I bit into didnt seem like cabbage at all. My server, Verena was nice and smiled while keeping my drink from being empty. This location appears to need a Deep Cleaning, my table wasnt the cleanest feel and the entry could use a scrub. I wonder if theres a drying agent missing from dishwashing. Theres a lack of silverware supply around the stations that offer them. I dont feel group continuity between the employees, I saw several around an empty, un-clean table and when the majority walked away seemingly towards the kitchen, all hands were empty and the server for that table was left with a good sized job. The labels to food need to be correlated up a bit too.

Food was good however there was a major sanitation issue. The person working the grill for steaks was putting more steaks on the grill. His hands were gloved however when i came to start serving people he didnt change out his gloves and thus contaminated the utensils. He then left and another employee started serving steaks with the same contaminated utensils. Very unsanitary and a health code violation. Not sure what else would have been contaminated as i did not see where he went when he left.

We havent been here in almost 3 years so we decided to try it again and we will not be going back. We paid almost $65 for 4 people to eat and All of the food we chose was cold and awful. The brisket was cold with hard potatoes and carrots, the broccoli was cold and everything we chose other than the steak was cold and the drinks tasted like hand sanitizer. The service of customer service is trash our waiter was more worried about filling up the napkins than our drinks and when she did come by she had a attitude from hell..she didt have a name tag. She stood there looking at me like she wanted to say something.we had been 15 mins without no drinks in our cups.so yes it was upseting to have to wait on drinks cuz she was more worried about doing side jobs that are done at night or slow peaks.. Never came by to ask us again to fill our drinks.. so she got no tip w me. The food was all dried and empty.. its gone down alot ..its a shame.I did speak to a manager about her attitude.thanks cowboy in ur attention on this matter..too bad Mr.Garica does not runn the place any more.
