A cute little diner attached to an airport. Great views to watch the planes take off while eating tasty food. They were flexible with the breakfast time so we could still get it after 11:00. We also highly recommend the Wildcat Steak and Cheese sandwich. It comes on homemade bread. Yum!!

Me and my family of 5 were traveling through the town and stopped off for breakfast. Sad it ended at 11, but ordered food anyways. It was THE BEST BURGER I HAVE HAD IN TEXAS!!! I m from San Antonio and all burgers down there taste the same. But here, OMG!! Made in house patties and pie crust is also made in house. Sooooooo good!!!

It s was my first time going to Shelby s with my friend. For breakfast and fellowship. The breakfast was amazing and the service was really quick an it was enjoyable watching airplane taking off. We ate lunch here two days in a row. There were 4 of us. The food was delicious. We had chicken fried steak, okra, potatoes and gravy, HB steak, taco salads, hamburgers and it was great! The service I can not say enough about it! The entire staff are friendly and continue service with a small. Fun place to sit and watch the airplanes

We enjoyed a delicious dinner! It was a rainy Friday evening, so we didnt get to see the airplanes take off. However, my chicken fried steak was perfect with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad. My key lime was wonderful! I could taste the real key lime juice! Kudos to their baker!:) Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meals. The service was very pleasant and professional even though the restaurant was full! We will definitely come back again!:)

Shelby s is another great hidden gem in Amarillo. I have spoken to a few people around town who have never been to this place. The atmosphere is aviation. It is on an airport. We always get great service & food here. Bonus, their pies and desserts are amazing! You need to plan ahead or plan to wait because most of the time this place is full.

What a wonderful place to have lunch with friends! We had been there before, so we were more than happy to recommend it to friends for our lunch together. The meals were tasty and plentiful. Went with a group of guys . Couple guys had the hamburger steak they said it was good. They have 2 different hamburger steaks one with jalapeños one without. 3 or 4 guys had the burgers they were large and juicy. Very good. I had the chicken fry very large good flavor. The restaurant is directly on the tarmac offering amazing views of Landon s. Take offs and parked airplanes. Watch the coming and going s of small aircraft while you re dining. Shelby s has a lot going for it. The location is really fun. You can watch smaller planes come and go and you ll often get the opportunity to see some unique aircraft out and about. But to the real question: how is the food? After three visits, I ve found it to be everything I look for in a lunch place. The food is made and cooked fresh to order. The fries are always a highlight. I m not usually a huge chicken tender fan, but Shelby s are amongst the best I ve had in Amarillo. And the portions are sized well. Not too big, not too small, I find them to be just right. And then they have pie. And it s quite tasty. All in all Shelby s makes for a really awesome place to grab breakfast or lunch in Amarillo. We ll be back, and I hope you will be as well!

Came for breakfast and it did not disappoint. First of all, this place is sooo clean. You can watch planes land while you eat even the windows were spotless which is a really difficult thing to keep up in Amarillo! The bacon was the best. My eggs were perfect and the buttery toast is the best around. I saw lots of delicious looking lunches coming out too. Waiters were friendly and efficient. They have prime rib on Friday nights and they also have a special on Thursday nights.

The mediocre food is the best thing this place has going for it. The service is non existent. Bring your own drinks because you wont get a refill and bring your own condiments as well.
