Amazing! The food is delicious, fresh, great portions, the aguas frescas are so so good!, the place is always clean and everyone is super nice and friendly. Can t wait until they open one closer to my house - I drive 40 mins to eat here, but it s worth every mile. The asada tacos and mahi mahi tacos are delicious!! The rice and beans delicious too!! Highly recommend this place.

Always helpful staff. Some food items are better than others. Recommend frozen Margaritas, but still having concerns about the big jump in price of the menu items earlier this year. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces in the front. Kid-friendliness: Staff will go out of their way to make it easy for the kids.

The food was delicious!!! They have a tray of special sauces (mild & hot) you can put on your tacos. Just ask for the sauce tray. Service was friendly and quick. Pay with cash and receive a discount. Food and service were amazing! Lady taking our order at the front was super friendly and patient. We spent $65 for 8 tacos, chips and salsa, rice and beans, churros, and three auga frescas. Every taco we tried was out of this world, and packed full! Food runner brought us out a whole tray of different salsas to try. Favorite taco joint and new staple.

I love this place!! It is a fun place for a family outing. I highly recommend it. The food got an average rating because the chicken in my typical taco order is usually dry as it would be if cooked batches set warming on the grill too long. This is fixable with a few process changes. Chips with salsa come with free refills so one order covers our group of seven members. The one time I had a frozen Margarita I really liked it (A+) so give one a try if you are not driving afterwards. Vegetarian options: Cactus taco is very good. Parking: Parking has never been an issue. Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to love it.

I love the food, very good. I wished that they would just add tipping to the food prices as a part of doing business. I dont feel these retail establishments should add tips to everything we purchase even if I pick up the food but I feel guilty not paying a tip since it does pop-up on the screen when paying - I just dont go here very often as a result. I think a lot of people feel this way. I dont mind tipping very well at a restaurant if I feel like I received good service (which is was the intent of tipping) but paying a tip before you even get service (or no service) seems counter to the purpose of tipping.

It had potential, but was very disappointing. The flavor of the tacos was good for the most part. However, the tortillas were store-bought and reheated to the point they were like rubber. Hard to enjoy a taco when you can hardly chew the tortilla. Opt for something other than the fish tacos...they are largely flavorless. On the upside....the tomatillo salsa is excellent and the guacamole is good.

I visited your restaurant the day before yesterday and was extremely dissatisfied with the behavior of your staff. One employee rudely asked me to eat quickly and leave the restaurant because other guests were arriving. When I mentioned that I had not finished my meal and would like to speak with his manager, he became very unfriendly and informed me that he is the owner of the restaurant and I couldnt do anything about it. I loved visiting this restaurant every weekend with my family; the food is delicious. However, since the owner, a man, is so mean and badly behaved with customers, yesterday there was an argument. He kept saying and screaming, You know me, I m the owner of this restaurant! My kids were scared, and we left the restaurant. I won t go back there again. The tacos here were delicious. Definitely on the pricier end but well worth it. We got one Glazed pork belly taco, one Al pastor taco, and one carne asada taco. The churros were very hard and dry I almost choked! The horchata is well made and the only thing I liked. Don t get me started on the breakfast tacos. They re hideous. My Mexican ancestors are rolling in their graves disappointed in me for trying these tacos when I know better, I will not be coming back. The girls at the register were nice and friendly. Restaurant needs to invest in a good tortilla press machine to make authentic good tortillas.

Good tacos, I recommend al pastor and carnitas. Really good. Do not be shy and use the salsas they offer a very good touch to the taste of the tacos. A good frozen margarita and/or agua fesca of jamaica flavor will leave you feeling sattisfied and full. Remember happines starts from the stomach. Tried this place a few days ago, the asada tacos have a great flavor, I liked the pastor too. The tortillas are not cooked, which was a huge let down. The pork belly wasn t cooked long enough to render them down enough to actually chew them. All the tacos are served with an ample amount of grease, which does provide some flavor but it ll cost you later. Service was good, staff was friendly, the place is nice and clean. I plan on trying it once more in a few months, see if I can update my review with some more stars.

Placed order over the phone and was told the order would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. Told them I would head that way right now. Got there and paid. Was told they would bring me the food when it was ready. Sat down in the front of the restaurant so they could see me. Other customers got there after me. 30 minutes later, from the time I called in the order, the customers that paid after I paid get their food and begin eating. I asked, Where is my order? It had been sitting there. They said sorry, to which I replied, Sorry, thats it, thinking theyd say heres a free drink or 10% off (mind you, I tipped 15%). They said nothing, like deer in headlights. Its really disappointing that it takes 4 cashiers standing around doing nothing to make that mistake. It wasnt a large order, only 6 tacos. After reading other comments here, they should have a policy of telling people that if they dont pay over the phone, their order wont begin cooking until paid.

This place almost had me in tears!! (In a good way!) I feel like food doesnt taste like it used to and in a way we have all lowered our standards of what is acceptable to bridge that gap.. And when I ate the food I ordered from Mexican Cactus it was like the feelings rushed back to me.. From when food was prepared with love and care and it felt like the person who made my food really cared about me and wanted me to enjoy it!! That love came thru in the entire order, the way it was packaged and included all the requested items (extra salsa, napkins, plastic ware etc) I honestly felt so grateful for having found them here bc they are not nearby and I wouldnt have discovered them otherwise. I decided to call the restaurant and let them know how appreciative I was and truly thank them for the best meal Ive had in... Honestly 3 years or so. I learned that they are a small business owned by local folks who are doing their best in this economy to keep the dream alive! Mannnnn... If I was a millionaire I would send them a fat check just to make sure they are able to keep doing what they are doing! I connected with this food and just hope that others can get the chance to do so for many many years to come!! Keep doing what you do yall, I know its a Thankless job for the most part but dont let that change you!! <3

This place was awesome! We started with the made-from-scratch chips and salsa. Delicious. I had a wagyu beef taco and cod fish taco and a cold brew; wife had chicken tacos and a frozen strawberry margarita. Excellent flavors in everything. The wait staff made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely come back time and again. If you havent been to this place its a must try. Non pretentious, fast service, and delicious.

To start, what gave me a hard time was trying to read the menu and a Taco Tuesday banner covering up the one thing I thought Id enjoy. After that we got chips and salsa, the salsa was pretty bad and we had to ask for a different one. I wasnt sure if I got everything on my taco since I never was able to read the menu, but it was just steak and onion. It tasted very good but felt like it was missing ingredients. As for the atmosphere, it was loud and I couldnt hold a conversation well. It definitely was not a good choice for an after work dinner to destress.

First time here at 12:00 and no line .. I took a minute to look at the menu and started to order. The person at the register was friendly while taking my order. The environment def has a cool vibe about it. My food came out in waves elote, tacos, then fundido de chorizo. I had the habanero and hot green sauce that was supposed to be creamy, but wasn t, both tasted fine but neither was spicy. Elote was ok, nothing great and not seasoned well for my taste. Asada taco - meat has a great flavor Pastor taco - meat is not that great Fundido de chorizo - served in a small skillet that was not hot enough to really allow mixing everything, but this is more fast food style so I can see why it s not. Good meat to cheese ratio and good taste Corn tortillas for tacos are NOT cooked/grilled, which is a staple for street tacos Flour tortillas were like Walmart brand. Overall good place but will so many other options in the area, I prob will not go back

Oh my goodness. Being half Mexican it is so hard to find great tacos in the area. This place has incredible, authentic tacos, and the service is outstanding! Suzy checked on us multiple times to make sure we were doing great and took the time to explain each hot sauce to me to figure out which would be best for me! I highly recommend coming here for anyone wanting a nice full stomach!

Found this place while searching around for good food in the area, and boy, did I find it. Mexican Cactus Taco Bar has got to be the best tacos in Allen, by far. The flavour and quality is always consistent, and you can tell the really care about how they make their food. They add special items to the menu monthly, so be sure to keep an eye out for specials! (I highly suggest the Carne Asada taco with the Devils Wife sauce!) The customer service is also incredible, with numerous friendly staff ready to help you along the way! Mack is always upbeat and kind, and makes the ordering process feel like youre ordering from a friend! Suzy is always fun to see and talk to! I know theres many people here I cant mention all by name, but theyre all great, I promise. In the area, or even a bit of a drive away, make sure to stop in by Mexican Cactus Taco Bar! Youre sure to be impressed.

When we arrived around lunch time it was pretty busy. We got one of the last tables available and ended up sharing the other end with other guests. Which is fine but just fyi. The tacos here are good and very close to authentic. I ve tried the carnitas, carne asada, pollo azteca, pork belly, and potato sausage one and all were delicious. My niece tried migas and tofu. The tofu was cut a bit too thick and she does not recommend. We also tried appetizers. The fundido was delicious and the corn was just alright. The churros were also good but the cajeta it came with was a bit bitter for my taste.

Absolutely avoid coming here. They implemented a policy that if you did not pay over the phone then they refused to start your cooking your order until you arrive. I started experiencing fraud on my card after the first time I did this. For this reason I was able to get on an exceptions list as a courtesy, additionally I would order upwards of 4 times a month. Since moving to Frisco Texas I still have ordered and driven the 20 mins to pick up 1-4 times a month spending upwards of $50 each time. Today Im advised they will no longer make the exception. I will absolutely no longer be supporting this business. Their quality of food has gone down, their customer service is trash, and something is going on with them stealing card info. I will choose to support Frezco in the colony or another taco spot on the area.

The food is always very good! Our fan favorite is the Wagyu Taco and the carnitas. We come here quite often for the tacos and margaritas. The restaurant is very clean and on most days very welcoming. On Monday we came in and was expecting great food and service but instead we got poor service. Our server Liz was extremely rude. When we were trying to decide what to order she kept rolling her eyes and making huffy impatient breaths as if we were taking too long. When she came back with our drinks, there was spillage over the cup making it sticky and hard to hold. We asked to speak to a manager and she snapped that there wasn t one there that day. I hope the problem gets fixed and on the next visit we are treated with the same respectful and delightful attitude and service we are used to at the Mexican Cactus. This will not impact us from future visits but if continued it may limit our visits
