One of the best places in Dallas for Indian food. Very few Indian places match the decor, the service and the warmth that this place offered me during my trip. The food was excellent with a wide choice of South and North Indian food. Decent bar and very fun cocktails, though I would recommend they expand their draft selection.

Beat lamb chops in town! Does.not get better then this. Staff was beyond exceptional. The taste and flavorful food beats any place for ethnic taste and scenery. Wonderful experience on my best friends birthday as well as the atmosphere outside. Out door patio and perfect seating for all festivities around. You will enjoy thus place. I ve been on a search for good Indian food in Dallas over the last 5 years and it s been fruitless until recently. Service was terrible. Nobody at the door to greet me for minutes. Staff off hanging out and laughing with customers.. Incorrect pick up times for my pickup order (nobody updating it on the tablet?) and NO UTENSILS even though I specifically requested them. Cheap Packaging that is ridiculously hard to open and spilled half the food on myself because of it. And no napkins to clean myself off with either. I think you guys should start assuming that people who eat your food might need a napkin. And people who pick up order might need a fork. Common sense should tell you. Won t be eating here again

I was first introduced to Shivas over a year ago with my friends and I haven t forgotten it since! Their butter chicken is delicious and unforgettable ! I finally got around to bringing my friends last week and they enjoyed it as well. Three of us ordered the butter chicken and my sister ordered a lamb vindalo- all of it was fresh, tender, and exquisitely tasting ! This visit in particular stood out because of the service and recommendations from Karthikeyan. He made the dining experience and atmosphere thoroughly enjoyable! He was so witty, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly charismatic. Karthikeyan is another reason I ll be happily returning to Shivas Bar and Grill- he s amazing !

We came for lunch today. The service was great, everyone was so attentive and kind who waited on us. We started with the lamb samosas - TO DIE FOR!!!! So good with the tamarind!! I had the butter chicken with spice level one, it was amazing! I could ve probably used a spice level 2 however. My bf had the curry and said it had a great, full flavor curry - they did not skip a beat! The spice level 3 was perfect for him and the chicken was moist, flavorful and fell apart so easily! The portions were great to share for a lunch or to take some home for leftovers! We will DEFINITELY be back!

I got takeout from here, order online. The online ordering doesnt allow you to select a pickup time. Got the Tikka Masala with chicken. It came with saffron rice but also ordered nan because I like to eat it with nan. I thought it was okay. I guess I was expecting more based on the ratings of this place. Maybe I just didnt order the right dish. Also for the price, there is another place I prefer at half the price. Im no expert on Indian food but I guess the dish I had didnt live up to my preference.

Atmosphere is good. But the service is subpar for the price. I also had long hair strand in my food. When I showed it to the staff, they started arguing that they dont have female staff in the kitchen. I was shocked with that reply because I dont have long hair and have a faded haircut lol. I also asked the staff to clear out the appetiser plates to make room for the Entrees. They didnt clear it and stacked all the food in one corner of the table and argued with me on that as well. The vindaloo was made in tomato sauce gravy and the chicken was very chewy. I am a foodie and I will not recommend this place to anyone as the service was terrible.

It s nice and dark, there s beautiful murals all over the walls and it smells like heaven. The service is impeccable and the food is life changing. I ve never tried Indian cuisine and malai kofta is now in my top 5 favorite foods. The attention to detail from the dishes to the service to the atmosphere make this a prime date spot. We had a blast at Shiva s for my mom s birthday! I loved the lobster bisque and Mushroom matar soup. Lollipops were crispy and spice level was exact as per our request. Both Chicken and Veg Clay pot Biryani were good with enough portion for the 5 of us. To top it all we absolutely loved the rasamalai and ordered one to go!! Kudos to our waiter Karthikeya for accommodating all our requests and warm hospitality!
