It was my first time there. Ive never heard of them before. The sign inside says theyre based in Delaware which is cool I guess. Nothing sticks out to me about Delaware. The food was great though! Id definitely go back. I got the Bourbon Bacon cheese burger meal. The meat reminded me of an In and Out burger, but it didnt seem as cheap. The owner was very friendly. The cookie butter shake was also well worth it.

We just moved down here and Im still looking for that good burger place and thought this might be the one..........well its not. The burgers we got were nothing special and needed more seasoning. The lettuce was so wet that the bun was soggy. The fries had NO salt and they always need some. My son got a grilled cheese and one would say how can you screw up a grilled cheese....well not even melting the cheese is how. Couldve had potential with just some minor tweaks, and as a culinary school graduate I know these are easy tweaks. The person at the front also needs to speak up and attempt to speak clearly as it was bordering on impossible for me to hear/understand. This place seems to be running a scam along with UBER to trick people into buying 3 hamburgers for a buy one get one free promotion we just paid for 3 burgers and received 2 for a BOGO .they want me to come there to get the burgers I already over paid for!! And - to top it off, the burgers are small and no one near the quality you would expect for the price a little customer service could have gone a long way, instead they lost a local customer smh

Had chili cheese fries with classic burger. The burger was simple and to the point with classic ingredients. Chili cheese fries used bean-tomato chili with nacho cheese. Not bad, but not my preferred chili. No greasy smell in the restaurant. Satisfied overall.

We visit Allen every other month. On our previous visit, we discovered Way Back Burgers.on our last night. From the first visit we were hooked. It was delicious and the staff is amazing! On our last visit to Allen, we came by on our first night. Our son who had never been there was so blown away by the food and staff, that we ended up going there all three nights for dinner. Each time, we ordered something different and it was always great! Even their sides and shakes are delicious! I am a big fan of the cheese curds and Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake. We look forward to our next visit to town so we can go back to Way Back Burgers! Vegetarian options: They have impossible Burgers.

I had the A1 Steakhouse burger and it was delicious and not over sauced and a perfect sized burger. Also had the strawberry shortcake milkshake and it was so yummy. Owner stopped by my table to see how I was enjoying the food and some suggestions to try next time. Absolutely going back!

I came here last night with my entire family and we had a very enjoyable experience! We wanted to try this place because we heard it was halal and it was in fact halal! The bacon is 100% beef and the people working there made sure to let us know! The service was amazing and the cashier was very patient with our large orders. First off, great service off the bat! Then the food was wonderful. Granted I got the grilled chicken sandwich from a burger place BUT it was cooked well! Also very tasty! Now the star of my meal though was their tater tots 10/10. They have a Cajun seasoning for them that slapped. Finally their shakes were incredible!! Going back for the shakes for sure! Staff cannot follow simple instructions. I asked for the Burbon bacon burger with a single patty instead of two the burger is supposed to come with a bourbon sauce, fried onions, cheddar cheese, and bacon. The burger I received had ketchup, mustard, raw onions, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and cheese. I did not get what I ordered, even after reiterating what I wanted multiple times. My Boyfriend ordered the Cajun burger with a single patty, and he did not get the burger he ordered as well. I know that this is a chain, so Im open to going to a wayback in the future, just not this location specifically. The restaurant was also cold, and the fries were overly salted. Also, the cheese curds were overpriced. We received a handful for $5.95. And they did not come with the sauce they were advertised with.

Very good. The facility was top-notch and clean. We met the owner and he talked about his commitment to Allen by setting up donations to Allen schools through PTAs. I deeply regret to inform you that my recent experience at Way Back Burgers in Allen, TX was far from satisfactory. Even after placing my order over the phone, the staff failed to accurately fulfill it, demonstrating a lack of attention to detail and customer service. Their suggested solution of revisiting the establishment in the future does not address the immediate issue at hand. To exacerbate matters, the quality of the food itself was subpar. Both the burgers and fries arrived cold, which significantly impacted the overall taste and enjoyment of the meal. It is disheartening to experience such a lack of attention to food preparation, particularly when dining at home. Furthermore, the single classic burger, touted as a signature item, proved to be disappointingly small, failing to provide the satiety one would expect from a burger of its nature. Regrettably, this experience has left me with no desire to return to Way Back Burgers. I had hoped for a memorable dining experience, but instead, I was met with a series of shortcomings that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. This was our fourth visit to Wayback over the course of a few years. Although we are not very frequent visitors, this is my favorite burger place in the area. Tonight my husband and I decided on a whim on the way home to stop and eat. I ordered the chicken sandwich with onion rings and my husband got the classic. Everything was delicious. They also offer some really good shakes! Service is excellent, and the restaurant is clean. As I was eating , I thought it to myself - I should write a google review . About 5 minutes later, the owner came over to greet us, ask how the food was and if it was our first time. A very pleasant interaction. I am so happy to have this establishment here in Allen. I recently had a fantastic takeout experience at the new Wayback Burgers location. The cashier, Faith, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I had a specific question about the origin of their meat, and she didnt hesitate to find out the answer for me. A staff member from the kitchen even came out to explain everything in detail thats what I call going the extra mile! The food itself was delicious! I visited Wayback Burgers last night for a quick meal to go. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite a wait time of 15 minutes, which I initially thought was reasonable, the food I received was not up to par. The burger, which I had been looking forward to, was soggy and cold. A good burger should be juicy and warm, but this was far from it. It felt as if it had been prepared well in advance and left to sit, losing all its appealing qualities in the process. Additionally, the fries that accompanied my burger were also cold. Fries are best enjoyed hot and crispy, but these were a letdown. It was disappointing to see such a lack of attention to maintaining the quality and temperature of the food. In conclusion, my experience at Wayback Burgers was not a positive one. I hope they take this feedback into consideration and improve their service and food quality for future customers.

What a great place! We love that we can order a simple burger how we want it with the build your own burger option. The menu is simple and easy to read. The kids LOVED the food even our super picky eater (she wont even eat store bought bread) cleared her plate! The milkshakes are made fresh with real ice cream, no soft serve here! The service was nice and polite. The manager came by the table to check how things were and when he heard how much my daughter loves pickles he brought her more! He even knew some patrons by name. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and modern and the windows into the kitchen allow us to see them preparing the food- no surprises! And the milkshakes are prepared in the front by the register, not in the back where they are frying food! Love that! My family will be returning

I saw a promo for this place on FB for a BOGO Free burger. I looked at the menu and it looked really good so I signed up. My daughter is home from school and this place is very close to where we live. So, we decided to go have lunch and use the coupon. This was the first time weve eaten here and we had a great experience. The restaurant was very clean and well organized. There was only one table occupied when we got there. But, it was kind of late for lunch and early for dinner. I chose the Cheeesy burger and added all the toppings (pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, grilled onions, mayo, mustard, ketchup). My daughter chose the Build your own single burger and added toppings (pepper jack cheese, onions, pickles, lettuce and the Wayback sauce). We also ordered fried pickles and we each got a soda. The girl that took our order was super nice. We did eat there and she brought our food out to us. Shortly after, a gentleman came out to speak with us (the owner?). He was very nice, he thanked us for coming and made sure we were satisfied with everything. He also advised us of different coupons/offers, etc for future discounts. My burger was perfect!! Everything tasted so fresh and it was hot. The fried pickles were also very good. I think the next time I would request that they make them extra crispy (my preference) but they were still good. My daughter loved her burger and said the Wayback sauce was really tasty (I believe it was BBQ sauce and mustard) We really enjoyed everything. Very surprised! The price for the portions are WAY off. These are not great burgers and they cost WAY too much. My family of 4 ate here for almost $80 and it was just humorous to see the quantity of food. The mac and cheese bites cost $6 and we received 7 or 8 bites. Same for the fried pickles. One visit will be plenty for me. One the positive side, the employees were fantastic and very service oriented.

Like other reviewers have said, I too was pleasantly surprised by how top-notch the food here tasted I was thinking it would be a step up from fast food burger joints but it was honestly one of the best burgers I ve ever had. The meat was incredibly tender but not so greasy that the bun got soggy, bacon was cooked to perfection, lettuce and tomato, and jalapeños all fresh as can be. Even though I was stuffed, I went back up to try their buffalo crispy chicken sandwich, and that was incredible as well. Highly recommend you give this place a try because I don t think you ll find a better bang for your buck. Service was indeed slow but the manager came over to our table before we left to apologize and to ask how we liked the food, and if there was anything else he could get us when was the last time you ve experienced that in a restaurant where you weren t ordering a $50 filet mignon?

This was my first visit to Wayback Burgers. There was a variety of burger styles to choose from, including garden burger and impossible Burger, which as you may or may not know is a vegetarian version of a hamburger. They also have burgers that they call patty melts made different only by simply flipping the bun inside out. They also were featuring handmade, real ice cream, premium shakes with optional whipped cream on top. An order of 8pc mac-n-cheese bites was $4.99 which is around $0.60 per bite/piece which I found excessively priced. The burgers ranged from $8 to $12. The shakes were about $8 and come in a small 16 - 20oz cup, with only a small thin straw with which made it almost impossible to get thick shake chunks through.(cookie crumbles, etc. They need thick straws, like boba straws) I ended up taking off the lid and removing the straw and drinking it from the cup. For two burgers, an eight piece mac-n-cheese bites and two shakes was approximately $45. Im checking out there was a prompt to leave a tip before you could process the transaction, but it is a, order at the front and bring to your seat and then empty your tray in the trash when youre done type of place. What exactly is the tip supposed to be for, making the burger? The burgers were handmade fresh, piping hot as they should be for a premium price, but was extremely greasy. (I had to wipe my face after each bite due to size and greasiness, but nonetheless 100% delicious. However, I do remember specifically thinking that these burgers werent really any better than a fresh-made premium burger at Whataburger, only at a higher price. Overall, with all things factored in, Id give this place 4 Stars. (I have revised my stars from 3 to 4 stars. this occurred as a result of the service going up from 3 to 5 Stars.) Great Service

I would like to thank the Wayback Burger team for their excellent food and customer service provided to our family for my daughter s birthday celebration. I ordered via a group order and everything was perfect. I highly recommend the group order option for larger orders. The process was straightforward and allowed everyone to personalize their food. The Wayback team did not hesitate to accommodate our special requests. I appreciated the orderly fashion that the food was packaged. I especially liked that each food item was numbered and aligned with the receipt. This made it easier to distribute to each individual. Wayback Burger most definitely has great food. However, my overall experience has shown me that excellent customer service does still exist. Bravo Wayback team and our family will certainly use your services again. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food here. I wont say it was the best burger Ive ever had, but it was far superior to other burger chains around. I ordered the build your own burger, which looked very small but ended up being more than I could eat. The tater tots were perfectly crispy without being greasy. Very slow inside but almost every table needed wiped off. Burger was good but a bit over done with catsup and mustard. It made it soggy and messy. Drinks are $2.79 for a cup of soda? Like all Texas food this was just mediocre. Had the double burger and it wasn t very juicy because the patties are microthin. The french fries have almost no flavor. Too bad they don t know how to use a salt, water brine, or anything to enhance the flavor and the fries were not crunchy at all. I can t wait for the Portillos to open!
