This is a great family owned cafe. Kim and Greg are awesome. They have great food, fast service and excellent catering options. We have used them several times for a business lunch and for catering for meetings. Always happy with the food and environment.

After I left a recommendation for a breakfast option in Allen on a FB post, I realized that I had never left Elkes a G review. The owners are super. They work very hard to make sure their customers are taken care of. Ive had breakfast and catering bites from them. My favorites are the quiche and the catering options we were served at the Allen / Plano City Lifestyle event.

What a great find, in a totally anonymous strip mall in Allen no less. A very cool cafe with a small wine-centric market in a separate area. We had samwiches today, mine on molasses wheat bread - pimento cheese, bacon, lettuce, candied jalapenos, and peach preserves. Absolutely up there with the best ever. Wife had BLT with avocado slices, ditto. Weve had desserts before (not today) that were killer good. Go there, you will NOT be sorry

Every time We come here the food Is delicious!! Also to the chocolate brownies are the soooo delicious! The have different bars of sweets! They are fresh made and so soft when you bite into them...Not once have we been disappointed on our food. If you havent eaten here trust me you should stop by one day and eat.. once your done this place will be your regular place to eat. Place is clean and all the workers are nice to everyone. The owners are awesome and nice too. There food there is awesome!!! Try it you wont be disappointed!!!

Stopped by here to get some bacon to go with donuts in an effort to create a balance breakfast for my daughter who wanted donuts. We were able to place a to go order of crispy bacon quickly and receive it quickly. The bacon was delicious, it was over cooked and had the right amount of crispy we wanted. The portion size was good as well, we were able to share the order of bacon with each other.

Wow! I just ate one of the one best sandwiches I ve ever had here. The Other Nutty combines savory and sweet in this amazing turkey sandwich. I really love the menu here. There are sooo many options. I don t know how they even make so much stuff. This place is always so clean and calm and peaceful. I bb love that they have a little shop attached nextdoor. I love the cute outdoor seating. Like wine? Try their monthly wine tastings. Kim does a fabulous job introducing incredible and affordable wines. I always learn so much from her! They also offer small bites and dinners during the wine tastings. We decided to try out Elkes based on the great reviews and we werent disappointed! The sandwiches were delicious and there was something for everyone - even foodies like us that like to try something a little fun (the other nutty sandwich was so good!). I came in because Elkes brought sandwiches to my business and I wanted to try them out for myself. I got a breakfast sandwich which I enjoyed. However, its a bit contradictory to have signs about wearing a mask inside and hand sanitizer stations when the manager on duty couldnt wear one himself. Maybe adhere to your own guidelines? Just a suggestion. Edit as response to owner: It wasnt forgetfulness. The man noticed my uncomfort, pulled his mask up, then pulled it back down to take my order. The response soured my experience.

Very nice place, part market & part Cafe. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The menu is limited, mostly sandwiches, salads, and sides, with daily specials. I selected the BLT with avacado on ciabatta bread and the Greek style pasta salad as my side. The BLT was delish and it was probably the best BLT that Ive ever eaten. The side salad was excellent and very tasty. I cant wait to go back there.

This is a nice little cafe. It has a homely, rustic feel to it. There are a nice selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. Try the Other Nutty: it is a weird combination of ingredients but it is very good. I was surprised how tasty I found it. The sides are good too. I tried the bacon ranch potato salad and the german potato salad. Both were tasty. Finally, the deserts were very good too. The cookies were excellent (the sprinkle sugar cookie was devine). The pecan flat pie was also good.

The food is exceptional. They have interesting dishes, not your run of the mill foods to choose from. They are prompt and have reasonable prices. The service is awful. The front counter employees are extremely rude and the act like you are inconveniencing them by placing an order. The only reason we are cautious about not going back is the attitude of employees. It was my first time trying this place and it the food was good and unique. I enjoyed the Other Nutty sandwich and the carrot bisque was nice. Its a cute little family-owned place but the man that took our order at the counter was not friendly. Not exactly mean or rude either, just very dry and flat. He didnt seem happy to be there. Maybe he was having a bad day? Still I wouldnt write the place off yet since I really enjoyed my food.
