We sat right away when first arriving but waited for our waiter to see us. He and the Manager were very apologetic for the wait. It was our anniversary, and we stated that in our reservation. We received complimentary champagne. The appetizer we ordered was the spinach artichoke dip, which was delicious. I got the lobster bisque, and it was delicious. We both ordered the ribeye with truffle mac n cheese, and my husband got the balsamic bacon Brussels. My steak ended up having a hair in it. Sam, our waiter, was very apologetic and corrected it right away. It took a while to get my new dish, so my husband had to eat by himself so his dish didnt go cold. Then I ate by myself since it was served later. The Manager delivered my new steak and mac and cheese, and not only did it not include hair, but the flavors were so much better. My first steak and my husbands were not as seasoned and juicy. It was like a big difference in the quality of the cook. The mac and cheese was also more creamy. It was surprising to see such a difference in the dishes. We were not offered a discount for the mishap. However, we were also given a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Over all mixed review given our bills was over 200 dollars, but our waiter Sam was great. We feel the inconvenience of not being able to enjoy our dinner together could have been handled better. In the end we did ask if they had a military discount which was given, but that was after the bill was brought to us. 0

I ve been to copper creek a couple times and always had great service but last night was horrible. The bartender had horrible service and a horrible attitude. Unfortunately I had to send back a cosmo last night for the unpleasant taste. Didn t even look like a cosmo; was baby pink with a frothy top and was served in the incorrect glass. I did ask her nicely if she could take it back and she grabbed it and threw it out pretty aggressively. I had the misfortune of sitting right in front of were drinks are emptied so I saw it all. She didn t ask what was wrong with it or if I wanted anything else. I then asked for a beer and she preceded to serve the entire bar area before getting me a replacement. She then ignored me for the entire rest of the night. I had to have my mother ask her for dinner menus and when taking our order she was nice to the rest of my party except for me. It was very obvious I was not her favorite person of the night. Later I asked for another beer and she once again made me wait till she served many other customers and after I had gotten my food. Not sure if she was having a bad night or she didn t like that I sent her drink back but my recommendation if it s the later is to learn to properly make a cosmo so the next time someone orders it they don t send it back and have to experience what I did for the rest of their dinning experience.

Didn t get a picture because I ate it so fast. I had the fish and chips and it was probably the best I have ever had. I don t know how they make the fish so fresh and flaky. It also comes with this amazing sauce, I believe it is crab remolode . It is also topped with crab. I tasted my friends asparagus. We went for lunch and honestly almost went back for dinner. Best fish in Abilene for sure!!!

Really enjoyed our dinner, wonderful atmosphere. Our server, Mikayla was so friendly and attentive to us. My father in law and I split the ribeye, baked potato and wild rice while my wife and mother in law split the salmon. It was plenty for everyone. We also tried the calamari and the almond praline cream dessert which were delicious. If you like a wedge salad with lots bleu cheese dressing and bacon bits you ll love theirs. They do charge to split the plate ($3) and also charge a 3% fee to use your credit card. We ll certainly be back.

Im not a huge fan of this place. Its atmosphere is great but the food is about the same as Logans or Texas Roadhouse. Their desserts are the only things that stand out from any other steakhouse. The wagyu was okay, but for abilene, its pretty good.

My husband said the Aged Steak was good. I Requested GRILLED Crab cakes and they were GREAT!!! Im ALLERGIC to Shrimp. I asked if they fry everything in the same Fryer, she said Yes, Thats why I requested grill Crab cakes. I pray they change this becauseIreally like French Fries. I wanted Fried Catfish AND the Crab Cakes. The Molten Lava cake wasnt much Lava (chocolate) so it was a little dry but good flavor. The server was good and very helpful. This restaurant made us feel like we were in Alaska, very welcoming as Copper Creek is when we go fishing. Thank you Chef and the entire Abilene, TX Copper Creek Restaurant TEAM. Funny enough, we didnt even know this place existed until today. Found it in a Google search. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Nice menu selections. Great food and good service. The restaurant still looks fairly new, but found out it was 18 years old. The stuffed chicken was just wonderful. The grilled chicken had great seasoning and was cooked just right. The chocolate cake though, you have to try this. If you like chocolate, even just a little bit, this is for you. Wonderful!!

I ve spent over two decades entertaining clients at high scale restaurants across the country. Never in my life what I have imagined to find one of my favorite spots in Abilene, Texas of all places. We were simply driving through and had lunch, and I ve been craving a salad from this place for weeks since we ate there. I don t even care if they put the salmon on, which by the way was phenomenal, but the grilled lettuce knocked my socks off. If you re in Abilene traveling, and you don t stop here, you re missing out. Seriously. Dietary restrictions: My wife has a dietary restriction of onions, due to IBS, which is really uncommon. That means that she can t have meals prepared on any counter that is ever had onion powder. This restaurant was so careful, and it was appreciated. I tasted her grilled chicken and asparagus, and outside of the fact that I absolutely fell in love with my meal, I would order that eight out of seven days of the week. Everything that we had here was fantastic.

Its kind of a dark, and outdated atmosphere. The food was good but overpriced. A wedge salad should never be that expensive. The lobster bisque was not as good as I had there a few years ago. Its was scorched, or burned, or something was just really off. The fish was the Dinner special, at first it was good but quickly it was dripping oily sauce or grease or something so we couldnt eat it. I just expected much better because of the prices. It wasnt terrible but it definitely wasnt that good. I would say it was just so/so. Compared to other fine dining restaurants, you expect to pay more, but you expect exceptional food. This just isnt that place. Therefore, I wont go back. I can get better tasting food for my money at Golden Corral. Sadly.

This is a very nice spot for Fine dining. The portions are good and the selections are different from others in town. Be prepared to spend more due to this variance as well as the atmosphere! Service was fantastic for our large lunch group. We dont go here often, but it has been an excellent experience each time we have! Vegetarian options: We had a coworker that was vegetarian and she was able to find several good options that worked for her. Parking: Parking was ample as well both in front and on the sides of the restaurant.

When you spend $200 on dinner for 3, you expect good food but I was surprisingly underwhelmed. Steak advertised as 30 day aged prime, not a bad steak but not what I was expecting. A little tough and no flavor to the aging and I was disappointed to the point I took 3 bites from different sides of the steak and sent it back . My son ate the tails (the part you typically dont eat) off the shrimp and left the shrimp, the broccoli was really bland and the salsa for the redfish wasnt fresh. The salad, literally grilled romaine lettuce, (that they say is for the smoky flavor) was singed, wilted and tasted burnt. This is the same quality you could expect for Chilis or Outback steakhouse for a quarter the price (minus the grilled lettuce). Definitely feel like theyre taking short cuts and it is 100% not the quality they advertise, especially the steaks.

Sadly, I m updating my review. The last two times we ve went our steaks were over cooked and our sides were cold. Tonight was the straw that broke the camels back. 5 of 6 steaks were over cooked. And the refire was even wrong. So disappointed as we truly loved coming here for an amazing meal. We won t be back for a long time, if ever. I will say the manager was amazing and we were very constructive with our feedback. Didn t want $$$ taken off or a free meal. We simply wanted our steaks to be correct. I love the food here, but the atmosphere can use some updating. Its why we dont visit as often. I dont know many people who enjoy looking at trophy kills/taxidermy while eating with their families. Its such a dated and creepy decor for a restaurant. I ordered the Cedar Salmon with asparagus, and it was delicious! Great smoky flavor, and even with ordering salmon medium-well, it wasnt dry at all. We ordered the coconut shrimp app, and, wow, it was a texture and flavor bomb! It came with 3 HUGE butterfly shrimp. Perfect amount of crunchy shredded coconut batter. The shrimp was not overcooked, and the texture was soft and not too chewy. The chili sauce had a mild kick to it, and the flavor was great. I would order 2 of those as my meal next time! My husband ordered the special of the day, which was a chicken cordon bleu. It had a hatch chili gravy that he loved. Excellent!

Alfredo gave us a world class service. We arrived at 9:30 pm and realized that restaurant was closing in 30 mins. He went ahead to walk us to our table and was very patience with us. From Rhode Island coming to Texas to check out a horse my wife bought that is in training. My wife found a great Caesar salad for me at Copper Creek. We sat at the bar and had an awesome gentleman bartender named Cameron wait on us. He suggested a few things as well. Jalapeño poppers, with Smokey jalapeño margarita. We had that x 3 margaritas with the Caesar with awesome Salmon. Was so good I ordered another piece of Salmon. Wish we had this at home. Thanks again Cameron, your restaurant owners should be proud of the great food and service you provided.

This place is the bomb The food is so delicious. The atmosphere is by far Texas style. The food was good and super delicious. If you get a chance stop by and get yourself a nice aged Texas stake. Parking: Plenty of parking even enough space for a truck and trailer if you need to. Kid-friendliness: The smash potatoes are amazing. Wheelchair accessibility: Front door wheelchair parking.

Unfortunately, I found the meal to be overpriced with multiple little mistakes made on the food and drinks. The soup was sub-par, and the chicken was underwhelming. I paid $90 for a soup, salad, one main dish, and one drink, and I was disappointed. I had to ask for my $13 cocktail to be made properly because they had forgotten an ingredient. The kitchen made 3 mistakes on food items delivered to the table and the presentations was meh. I will say the broccolini and Brussels sprouts stood out and I the steaks looked good, but there are plenty of places around that serve a good steak at 75% of the price or less. Our server did an excellent job handling a large table with split checks - kudos. Overall, Copper Creek needs to improve their food quality and attention to detail to justify their high prices.

So incredibly loud, you cant have a conversation without talking very loudly. The decor is nice and the lights are dim, but the noise does not allow this to be a romantic venue. The outrageous price would be fine if the food quality matched it. I ordered the prime rib for $58.00. It doesnt come with any sides, just the prime rib. And it was horrible! Tough & chewy and way over-seasoned. They may actually get their cuts of meat from Dollar General. The service was less than attentive, but they were packed. The managers were working the floor, but only asked about our dining experience while walking away... Dont bother with this undeservedly entitled has-been steak house. The food and service is much better at Lytle Land & Cattle.

I ll give it one star due to the food was alright. Service was horrible. To start we ordered a bottle of wine soon as we sat down. About 30-45 minutes later our bottle finally arrived. Wife ordered a medium steak. First time it came out it was extremely rare. Sent it back & when it came back out it was just a bit more than rare. Sent it back once more & it finally came back medium. All this while my food sat on the table getting cold as I wanted to wait for my wife to eat. Definitely will not be back & don t recommend to anyone wanting a special night with their love. But on a bright note the manager did come & offer free desert. What an insult as I don t care to have anything free. The bar looks like a happening place though if that s your scene for the evening.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Copper Creek in Abilene, Texas and unfortunately, my experience was not quite up to par. One thing that stood out to me was the tea - it was filled with loose leaves which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, when the food arrived at our table, it had a strange smell which was off-putting. Despite these issues, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. All in all, it was an average dining experience and I would rate Copper Creek 3 stars.

Violation of liquor law issue. Waiter seemed annoyed we asked for a to go container for 1/2 bottle of wine. We walked out with a cc to go plastic bag that had the top of the screw top bottle exposed. We have an suv with no trunk so it would seem taking it home would be a class c misdemeanor. Not my idea of the right thing to do. So it went in the rear lower storage which is inaccessible and this edit on my review ensued. The unhelpful courtesy package after spending $120 at a restaurant seems kinda cheap. As does the pointed packaging in a plastic bag with the screw top wine bottle top exposed seems a pointed dont come back. So my answer is fine. Live w my review... I was not a problem and did not deserve special treatment. And bye the bye the menu prices have risen. The food is still good. But its still not my idea of worth the price. So be careful. A $500 class c misdemeanor isnt any fun. The resuraunt broke no law or rule to my knowledge... But this waiter certainly set me up for a possible problem. Earlier... expensive. not on par with dfw metro resturaunts IMO. the food is good. just personal opinion that given the prices, it is short of what that sum will buy elsewhere. eg. min entree is 26, top end is 80. id give pappadeau in central ft worth 5 stars. similar prices. 28 buys a morocan salmon on coucus w crab and shrimp at pp. but just rice and salmon and carrots at cc. cc soups are very good. salads as well. i just feel they are weak on at least some of the entrees. abilene isnt as competitive as dfw. cc is the only upper end choice here and its far from bad. so i think you will have a good experience here, but may feel its a little high on the price given what is available in other markets.

My husband and I ate here last Tuesday for my birthday, the first b-day dinner we ve had time for in 7 years (we live 2 hours from town), so needless to say, I was very excited to go to dinner and try this place, but overall, it was a disappointment. The atmosphere was lovely, but the expensive food and poor service left much to be desired. We anticipated spending a lot money in this place, however, when we spend that much, we expect everything to be delicious, but unfortunately, not everything was. The garlic mashed potatoes that we each paid an extra $9 for, were dry and at room temperature, not hot, like we prefer. Honestly, at the prices this restaurant charges, potatoes ought to be included, especially since they re so inexpensive. I d expect to have to pay extra for potatoes in a state up north, but not at a steakhouse in Texas where meat and potatoes are traditional fare. My husband s ribeye was not very tender, almost tough on the edges, even though it was cooked medium rare. The bacon wrapped medallions and the brussel sprouts were great, however. We could have overlooked the food had our service been better, but we felt like our waitress would disappear for long stretches of time. I realize there are others eating that had to be taken care of, but I didn t see her at their tables either. I had to wait a long time for a glass of wine, and had to ask her to refill my water when she finally came back around. I had already finished my water and was drinking my husband s glass, and I don t drink fast, if that tells you how long it took for a refill. (It would behoove this restaurant to have a person periodically walk around with the water pitcher, if your waiters are too busy to do it.) Our waitress never once asked us if we were enjoying ourselves, were the steaks cooked properly, did we like the food, etc. I realize some people have quieter personalities, I m one of those people too, but when you re a server (as I once was), you have to force yourself to be a little more accommodating and professional toward your customers. We would have appreciated a manager coming around and asking us if we enjoyed our meal, but that didn t happen either. Overall, this place was a big disappointment and we will not be wasting our money here in the future.
