PSA: get the crispy chicken sandwich, youll thank yourself later. It was surprisingly tasty and completely unexpected. All the food we ate was well-balanced and had a great variety of textures. The presentation was thoughtful and made the eating experience better. I ordered the humble chicken sandwich thinking it would be accompanied with a piece of lettuce and maybe some tomato, but what I received surpassed my expectations. A fresh, crisp, slaw was the topping I didnt know I needed on my chicken sandwiches. And the poppy seed bun? Delicious. This sandwich appeals to picky eaters and foodies alike. Our server, Nicole, was professional, kind and provided wonderful service! We couldnt be happier with our visit to Cork and Pig Tavern and look forward to coming back!

This was my worst experience while visiting Texas. Over priced, less than filling portions and absolutely a lock of customer service. I sat a the bar. Wanted to try a prime rib but they didnt have it on the menu. Google let me down here not the restaurant. However I decided to try the chicken parmesan. Id tasted okay at best. Overly seasoned, less cheese than youd expect and the bread seemed more stale than toasted. Not in a fancy special kind of bread way either. The waiter was nice enough to take my drink order quickly, then I waited half an hour before anyone even came back. It was the waiter at the bar still also. I made my food request and the food arrived quickly. Not upsetting there. However upon completing the underportioned meal I was complete with my availability to be disappointed. That wasnt the end though the bartender left me there for another 40 plus minutes without ever looking at me. To be clear the restaurant was not busy. The bar was not busy. He was just terrible at customer service. Overall I would not recommend this location, nor will I be returning under any circumstances.

Everything is delicious. I cant remember our servers name because Im terrible at remembering names but he was a younger guy with glasses, he was wonderful. I go through tea like a maniac and never had an empty glass. Very nice place with great food and both times Ive been here the servers were just extra amazing. Vegetarian options: The garden salad is actually really great. It has tons of good stuff on it and its 1000% better than most places that just give you lettuce and tomato. They put apricots and pumpkin seeds and avocado and the champagne vinaigrette is so very good.

I went to Cork & Pig Tavern in Allen Ridge in Abilene TX with a co-worker to try out some sandwiches and I must say its one of the best experiences Ive had in Abilene. Great music, very friendly staff and of course Divine food. We started off with the starter of artichoke dip and chips, very very good and a good palate cleanser. My coworker tried the New Yorker I tried the Cuban sandwich we both had a mac n cheese, halfway through we switched even more impressed with the Cuban and a unique twist in a New Yorker, it was amazing hands down both were equally delightful. Although the soft drinks werent exactly what we called Dr pepper, something they could work on. The food more than made up for the drinks IMO , even though we didnt go there for the large selection of wine they do have a nice selection of wines and beer to choose from. But from a foodie standpoint you will not be disappointed... If you want good food and a nice drink at a decent price, this is the place to go. Its not fast food and its not the Ritz but placed in the middle perfect. Vegetarian options: There are non meat options available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible 100%

Had my birthday lunch here. It was wonderful! Our server was great, he made sure our team glasses were full. He made recommendations of what the dishes were, that helped us a lot. When he found out it was my birthday he gave us free benets! So good! I got the steak, it was tender flavorful. It had a wine reduction sauce on it. My husband got pork chops also very good! Things started out well. I ordered the chicken sandwich and started eating it only to find the chicken was undercooked and raw. Im pregnant and as everyone knows food-borne illness is a huge concern so now Im just scared. A manager never stopped by our table. I just feel like for the price and the way the restaurant presents itself as kinda upper scale it was a huge disappointment and Im leaving stressed. So maybe dont order the chicken if you decide to come.

This place is an absolute treasure! Our server, Mason, was delightful and eager to make sure we had a fabulous time. We had brunch and enjoyed the deviled eggs and Huevos Rancheros. We splurged on key lime pie and Mexican chocolate cake. Both were insanely delicious and too large for one person to eat! Next time, we will come back to try the dinner menu and cocktails. Our server was really nice but clearly not very knowledgeable about some menu items as well as the wine. I dont blame him. This comes down to training. He was probably a young smart college kid who could easily learn it if he was trained properly. This is the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5. The food was excellent. We didnt have a reservation and we were sat quickly. It was right by the kitchen which I wasnt thrilled about but it was ok. None of us were disappointed about the food and this really turned things around. The steak was ever so slightly cooked over medium rare but not enough to complain about, it was seasoned well and almost perfectly cooked. A bit too much breading on the calamari but this is more of a my taste sort of thing. Everything else was perfect!

This was like having fine dining in a casual atmosphere, it was that level of food and really really delicious! I cant say enough how impressed I was with the level of food that came out of that kitchen. We ordered the crab cake Benedict and steak Benedict. Wife and I swapped one so we could try both. I watched everything that was being delivered to the tables and it all looked crazy good! And the bartenders...some pretty fancy drinks being whipped up as well. I had no clue that cork and pig was on this level but it was pleasantly surprising and I plan to visit frequently now that I do. Great job guys and thanks to all the staff!!

I had high expectations for this restaurant because of the good things I ve heard about it. Unfortunately our experience was not good as far as the food goes. The fish and chips were so greasy you had to eat the fish without the breading. It was dripping grease. The pizza was greasy as well. The manager unfortunately had to agree with us, he had no excuses. As far as the atmosphere and staff they were outstanding. We really love the Cork and Pig restaurants and this one is just as great as the other two we ve been too. More relaxed vibe with a great selection of menu items. We always get the pepperoni pizza and Zuni salad. They re so delicious and the pizza is light and not greasy. We also tried one of their mocktails for the first time and it was soooo good. Stopped here purely by chance while on a road trip. While we were pre dinner rush our server, Molly, was very attentive and helpful. When questioned about a wine on the happy hour menu, she took it on her own to bring a sample to try. My starter garden salad was the best salad that Ive had in a while. Been here several times and had great experiences previously but this time was our worse one. Server charged us the wrong ticket the 1st time. When I told her our bill is off she apologized and took off to re-run the bill again. Final bill came back and still over charged us by $70. We were just done at this point and leave. My boyfriend and I came in to eat here on 11/30, and although we had to wait just a little bit for our food when it came out this sweet girl named Dusty brought it out. She was so apologetic about the wait and offered us a free dessert. Mind you the wait was not long at all and we were willing to wait because the food is SO DELICIOUS, also, we were on a date night so we were chit-chatting. Anyway, we finished our food and everything, and Dusty was very prompt about getting our check and making sure we were taken care of considering she had a full bar and they were so busy. Her customer service was absolutely wonderful, and made us like Cork and Pig even more!! This is our second time eating here and it definitely didn t disappoint. For our appetizer, we got deviled eggs with bacon, for our entrees we both got the chicken sandwich with fries, and for dessert, we got the beignets. Everything was a 10/10!! Service was great, food was great. My only complaint was the prices on my bill did not match the prices on the menu, on food and drinks. They did fix it but double check your bill. Drinks were double the price on menu. I hope they fixed that, either way I will be back.

Chloe was a delight! She was personable and knowledgeable and anticipated our needs. We shared the deviled eggs app. They were delicious! The ahi tuna salad was tasty and the wood fire chicken was amazing! Rock and Vine cab was a good choice to accompany our dinner. The vibe was relaxed and casual. The playlist was well chosen.

Beautiful views and surroundings. Large and mostly covered patio. Reservations are highly recommended. Our service was good and the food was enjoyed by all. It s expensive but there are reasonable selections also. They allow good dogs like our Wonda.

Best place to eat in Abilene hands down. Excellent waiting and kitchen staff, with an amazing manager. They accommodate food allergens with thorough professionalism. I intend to eat at this fine restaurant as many times as I can I highly recommend the deviled eggs, calamari, and especially the steak. We moved to Abilene from San Angelo and though I ve always liked the Cork and Pig there, this one is a few steps above. Our waitress, Elizabeth made the experience incredible and provided a level of service I have not experienced in a restaurant in some time. Daniel the manager was also quite welcoming and went above and beyond. We will come back for certain and always ask for Elizabeth. That lady is the best waitress I ve met and made my wife and I quite comfortable. Thank you for the food and excellent experience!!

I can t say enough great things about cork & pig! Our shrimp tacos were excellent (on the spicy side but so good) and the pork chops with the garden salad and house dressing was fantastic . Boy howdy this food is good! I got the porkchop and my wife got the Asian salad and they were both AMAZING! You have to try the Molly Ringwald cocktail, fruity with some lime and the perfect amount of bite! The food was cooked perfectly! Their menu is short and sweet which I loved! Overworked servers, so basically the story of most restaurants in this town. Our food came out cold and missing items we ordered. The server told us they would get us our missing food, but it did not happen as she was serving several tables at once. When we got the ticket it was mass confusion because the server did not know if we had been charged for the food items we never received, and she had not brought them out despite being notified 30 mins prior they were missing. Then we could not get a clear answer as to whether the side items were baked into the cost of our entree or not, despite the server asking several others. The food was tasty, but again it came out cold. It also took nearly a half hour to get our drinks, despite seeing other patrons get food and drinks before us who had only just arrived at the restaurant. We were graceful as our server was clearly overworked and stressed out. This is the problem with eating out these days. The workers in the eateries work hard, and being ugly about our poor experience does nothing helpful. The managers and corporate overlords use these poor servers as a shield between disgruntled customers and themselves, because they are cowards. Meanwhile the servers and other workers are paid the bare minimum, and I cannot blame them for not taking pride in what they do or wanting to do better when there is clearly little to no incentive. Sorry for the long rant, but this is a restaurant I would avoid.

This was my first time at the Cork & Pig Tavern. I found it to be a bit on the pricey side as I was looking through the menu. I mean a pizza for $17...geez. Then again, I know that we are living in inflatious times so, I guess its right. The hostess was very nice. Although, I thought she would turn me away because I didnt have a reservation. I heard u had to have one of those to dine here, but she didnt. She asked what kind of table I would like to be seated at or if I wanted to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. I chose a booth table. The restuarant itself is very nice. The ambience wss very pleasant. I think the owner must be an 80s kid because that was the kind of music playing. Not that I mind. I grew up in the 80s and 90s as well. Once, I was seated my waitress came right over with the menus and took my drink order. She was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Truffle fries as an appetizer. I had no clue what they were and she eplained to me that they are a shoe-string french fry tossed in olive oil and lighty coated with parmesan cheese and what looked to me was basil. They came with three different dips. The spicy mayo, ketchup and a garlic aioli. The spicy mayo was a little too spicy for me but that garlic aioli and the ketchup was hitting! For my meal, I ordered the fich tacos which were fried salmon and peanut coleslaw. I had know idea u could even fry salmon. The peanut coleslaw was a bit on the spicy side as well as the fish tacos but they were still good. For dessert I ordered the three nut brownie and OMG was that thing good!!! I look forward to going back but perhaps on a date. That way he can pay for it Hope yall enjoy the pics. Sorry, I 4got to take one of the brownie. I do suggest it if u arent allegeric to nuts.

Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon, and the service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. I ordered the blackened fish (salmon) tacos with fries and ended up taking some home to finish later. I think the blackened seasoning was applied in just the right amount. The sriracha mayo was perfectly spicy. The cabbage was angel hair thin, easy to grab and eat without everything falling out and all over the plate. The french fries are shoe string, which is my favorite cut! They were salted perfectly. Ill have to try the truffle fries next time!

Didn t exactly meet the standard that was set by its Odessa counterpart. You cannot just walk in for a casual dinner, you have to call in, in advance to have any experience. Not a complete turn off, but okay. Rescheduled for the following weekend. Returned the following weeklong with a reservation, was seated by the bar, without formal waiters/waitresses, service interval was low for sure. My fiancé was NOT please to have had a reservation made and to be sat in the bar section, to which felt to her to have lost a intimacy that could have existed. The drinks, my fiancé and I both ordered sweet teas. now, I COMPLETELY understand if you do not SERVE sweet tea, but, please say so. Do not just bring unsweet tea that is iced and expect a sugar packet to dissolve. But I digress, not the end of the world. (+)[appetizer] My fiancé and I both ordered salads, the salad wasn t to my taste, but my fiancé and sister in law both seemed to enjoy the salads. They came within a reasonable time and presentation was predictable to reputation of the tavern. (-) [entrée] I myself ordered a cowboy ribeye and my fiancé ordered the roasted chicken . Once ordered, there was a quite a bit of time that had passed before our food arrived. Again, pleased to see the presentation of the food meeting very fond memories of the Cork and Pig Tavern. I dissected my steak (ordered medium rare, little more to the bloody side) and I was met with a medium well steak. NOT what I ordered. The restaurant wasn t even busy by any stretch, and the preparation of my steak felt very rushed and not held to a quality standard. My mashed potatoes were cold as identified by my fiancé. I asked the waitress to have the steak redone, which she without hesitation took the steak back. Out came the second, upon inspection, COOKED PERFECTLY! Mashed potatoes were still cool, and I didn t eat much as they weren t of temperature to be becoming. (I will not speak on the behalf of my fiancé and her experience but after a conversation between us, we both feel around the same way of the place.) Overall, 2 stars, food was okay after the steak was made right, again, the bar-side seating was not a hit with my fiancé. We definitely don t feel real compelled that we had a $150 experience. In my opinion, this could be as great of a place AS my recollection of Odessa s Cork and Pig but there needs to be attention to detail. And I m really not too excited for another visit. Parking: Parking is a MESS in junction with the strip of other restaurants attached.

Finally got to try Cork and Pig Tavern and it was a good experience. Got the calamari for appetizer and the zing in that red sauce was my fave! Then I got the roasted chicken that has mashed potatoes underneath it. I added some roasted cauliflower (veggie of the day) as extra side and they were both great! Chicken was moist and well seasoned. The gravy that it sat on tasted rich and delicious. The extra side of cauliflower was surprisingly good! It tasted like it had some sprinkle of basil on it and it wasnt tough. It was perfect texture! Husband got the fish and chips which he thought was a little bland. I tried it myself and it kinda did. We got the beignets for dessert and I had beignet from New Orleans and I was expecting this one to be fluffy but it was more doughy. It was good just caught me off guard. Overall the experience was good. Our waitress was very nice and made sure our food was out on time. It did took awhile for the dessert to come out but she apologized for it. She was good though. Maybe a little pricey but understable. Although hubby was not impressed,I might have to convince him to try again so I can try the pizza next time lol

All I can truly think is WOW. From start to finish. The ambience of the restaurant was delightful and so warm and welcoming. The hostess was very kind. The menu was impressive with many great options, most we would not see at other restaurants in town which was refreshing. I would also like to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT TO LIZ! Our waitress, truthfully the most amazing waitress I ve probably ever had. So kind, humble, she can sell just about anything, and made us feel like family. After visiting here twice, I can say that they re easily one of the best spots in Abilene. Nice beautiful modern interior, great customer service, and amazing array of higher quality food and drink. I ve tried a few items from the menu and you honestly can t go wrong with anything here! I understand this is not a restaurant that folks from Abilene may be accustomed to due to its higher price, but it s a welcome change because you do get what you pay for and it s evident given they re always packed - so make sure you make a reservation in advance!

Overall a positive experience. The manager welcomed us and was very friendly and had good energy. We were seated quickly and drinks and food arrived fast and fresh. We had the pizza and the new yorker sandwich and enjoyed the food very much. The pastrami was juicy and the fries were some of the best Ive had. Food prices were very good considering the portions and the place feeling a bit upscale. Only complaints are the alcohol was expensive ($16 for single shot of Jameson BB) and our waitress became less attentive as she became occupied in socializing with her co-worker, we eventually had to walk over and ask for the check but I would definitely come back here again.

We had such an amazing experience! The food, atmosphere, and waitstaff and management were beyond great! We came in for dinner with our family and we re met with kindness and professionalism! When hunkered down with children you are sometimes met with unwanted looks, but that was not the case here! It was so amazing we decided to come back for brunch the very next day!
