I had the taco al pastor, one of the local favorites. I needed to drain all this oil off the beans, bacon, burger chunks and it became a tasty chili. The tacos were really oily, whatever theyre smothing everything in.. its impossible to stay clean. There was a chunk of bone in my taco almost cracked a tooth. Ive seen many times when youre not greeted until you check out. Or the staff will ask you what table were you sitting at because nobody knows, lots of guess who. With their prices going up meals will be around $12-17, and nothing comes with chips and salsa. With Blue Agave getting ready to launch their second location and then soon thereafter a third location this place could be in some serious trouble, as they do complementary chips and salsa with their meals.

Somehow I missed that Mi Ranchito on Buffalo Gap is the current incarnation of the one that used to be in the little red building at Ambler & W. Lake Rd. I feel silly now because Ive been missing out! This location is fantastic. The food is still delicious - as it always was. The inside is decorated to feel like youre eating in someones comfy courtyard. They also have a drive-thru if you just want to grab a burrito or a smoothie.

Absolutely love Mi Ranchito, but the service is ALWAYS horrible when you dine in. No one greets you when you walk in and they all see you when you walk in, they just don t greet or acknowledge you. It happens every time we dine in. Today we went in, no one was in the dining room, we weren t greeted or acknowledged. We get seated, the guy finally brings menus and takes our drink order. He brings our drinks and asks us if we need a couple of minutes, we tell him yes. He walked away and then never came back. He was too worried about working the register and taking orders for the people who were just walking in to place to-go orders. We sat there for a while, to see if he would come back, and he never did. We walked into the restaurant at 7:30 and we walked out at 7:52 because no one came back to take our order. I could understand if the dining room was full, but we were literally the only ones in the dining room! 22 minutes of sitting at a table with no service is a little ridiculous. We go to Mi Ranchito every week, usually through the drive-thru, and the older woman who works the drive thru is always so sweet and has the best customer service skills, but dine-in needs work!!

What a find this place was. I m Usually skeptical of strip mall restaurants particularly when there seems to be endless choices in Mexican food in Texas. But passing through Abilene, not knowing anyone for recommendations and limited in time, this place was convenient. Boy oh boy. God was looking out for me and my boys. Food ingredients were fresh, good portions and tastes tremendous. A must stop if close by. Walk in without big expectations and be amazingly surprised. It can be a very busy place with locals but be patient with the good people serving.

Stopped in for breakfast here and man it was good! The omelet was on point, fresh, the waiter did an excellent job of being on top of things, restaurant was clean, plenty of parking and priced reasonable. The Potato egg and cheese breakfast burrito had absolutely no flavor, we live down the street so its quick and convenient but dang, no seasoning AT ALL, plain Jane. Put some flavor in the eggs and potatoes!! I will get the Mexican potatoes sometimes just to get some dang flavor but then its so dang greasy!

May 9th 2024 Thursday morning 620 am order three carne guiasda,bacon egg cheese and egg potatoe burrito. The burritos were not very tasty and were all cold. It must been left over from previous day. Very disappointed with the burritos. Should just went to Rojas on the Northside. Never I drive to Buffalo Gap Rd for burritos at Mi Ranchito

My partner and I tried their breakfast burritos this morning before we headed to work and though they did give us someone elses order, they were quick to fix it, but no worries because they were really busy in the drive thru lol. We ordered 3 burritos and we each had 1 and were full after lmao. Love their hot sauce, myself having heartburn, it was mild enough to not upset it so thats wonderful! We recommend this place!

Mi Ranchito is great. The servers are attentive even if the place is full and the food almost always comes out quickly. We like to stop in for breakfast on weekends, but be warned if youre not there early the place can get a little crazy especially on Sunday and you may have to wait a little while with nowhere to sit. I like to order the veggie omelet with ham and my husband likes the mi ranchito breakfast. They could improve the omelet by cooking the veggies a little longer as they tend to come out mostly raw. Everything else is very good. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I live pretty far from this location and have to pass two other burrito places to get to Mi Ranchito and I still choose this place over everyone in town! The best burritos, quality, speed, and price. The customer service is so great and the ladies who are always working make you feel at home. I always feel like I m going to my grandmas when I stop and pick up a homemade burrito.

SUPER friendly and fast service!! We came through the drive through for a breakfast burrito and ordered bacon, egg, potato and cheese. The tortilla tasted incredible, but I was left wanting more flavor throughout the rest of the burrito. I understand though that they can t go too crazy since not everyone would want a burrito with big flavor like I do lol. I wouldn t come back for a breakfast burrito, but I would come back for lunch/dinner to try because I ve heard other great things!

Spoiled by its own success. Service has gone downhill and so has the taste. This place used to be really great, but my last trip was a letdown. The barbacoa burrito was really greasy, and the only flavor it had was Saltiness and too much at that. The rice and beans were lacking in flavor too. The carne guisada burrito was decent the meat was tender but the pieces were huge and the sauce just didnt have the great flavor anymore. The salsa was a let down no heat and little flavor I even asked for their hotter hot sauce(the orange one)

Never had any complaints about this place tell recently. I tried the Ranchito plate for breakfast and it was alot of food but delicious. It had every item that is detailed on menu. Every time since Ive ordered it and always missing 1 or 2 items and I havent said anything because it is alot of food but still very frustrating that Im paying the full price and not getting what Im paying for and no explanation or nothing. Atleast 3 times this has happen now including this morning.

Not my favorite place. Salsa was watered down. Took 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order... Normally not a problem but there was only one other table there that had been served and was eating. Took almost an hour to get our two plates of enchiladas. Our waiter left right after we were served and we were told his Aunt was cooking that night and she sent him down the street for food for her. pretty bad when the cook dont even eat there. We never got the side of Sour Cream we were made to pay for and never got the queso. They did take the queso off the bill.
