When it wasnt destroyed, this was a really fun park! I came here to practice basketball and it was really fun. I did encounter some mean people but for the most part I met nice people and even this guy that cheered me on while I was practicing. I even met an old school friend here! I would recommend coming here for the basketball court. (EDIT) The park was rebuilt, and it is even better than before! 6/5

Of the 4 or 5 splashpads in Abilene (besides Adventure Cove which costs a little money) the Sears Park one is supreme! It not only has the most slides (2), it also has more abundant shade nearby! In Texas, that is a requirement. There is a large Pavillion just steps away and none of the others are set up as such besides Scarborough Park (but it has no slides there). Kids will have fun regardless but they will enjoy this o e the best so save your gas and just head there now!

Sketchy AF. I took my nephews and niece to play and there were grown adults who kept watching my group of kids and the other kids playing. One came up to my boyfriend and asked if he was my nephews dad and kept asking for his name and kept asking questions until he was told to back off. They continued to watch everyone until each family started to leave. Sadly not a very safe place to take your family to enjoy the park.

Mothers day we took my bonus son, friends son and our buddy met up with us with his 2 boys to the splash pad. It was a great day. The splash pad is pretty cool i feel like its just a bit bigger than the one over by redbud park. Its crazy seeing how this park has grown over the years.

Good trail can make for about 30 minutes walk. Creek bridge can feel tricky as it rocks and vibrates, but great little park. Fairly busy at the splash pad and the basketball court. Very well lit and close to main road so feels pretty secure. Very easy to see others around the trail so if you need to manuever around to avoid other dogs can be done fairly easily. Seeing areas around path. Some spots to water the little one as well.

Of all the splash pads in Abilene this park has by far in our opinion the best one for slightly older kids. It features 2 slides and the kids love it. We bring brunch and let the kids play. Keep in mind this is free and can get crowded during peak times and weekends. The playground is quite separated from the splash pad so you can just visit that without making your kids feel like they are missing out. Over all clean ( this is a public area so expect public area problems), there are several bathrooms on location (see public area comment above), that are for the most part usable.

The playground isnt great, but there is a basketball court and some picnic tables. It also has some trees that my daughter loves to climb. They have a really good splash pad, but both times that Ive been there, kids have been violent toward the kids who were with me and the parents didnt seem to care. One incident ended in my son having to get stitches.
