I will never stay at this location again. The general manager is rude and has own set of rules. I had plans to stay for three years and because of her unprofessional attitude and lack of management skills KOA missed out on three years of rent from me but not only all 20 of my employees.

We were supposed to stay 1 night on our way to Tennessee, but had truck issues and had to stay 5 nights waiting on repairs. The campground staff (Jane and Carrie) were so helpful. They kept us there extending 1 night at a time as needed. Helped me get a zoom meeting going and checked to see if we needed anything. The Bathrooms and laundry worked fine and were kept CLEAN several times a day!

The photos on the internet are VERY deceiving. The pool has been ordered closed by the city of Abilene. Trash around park, broken toys at the playground. The swingset is rusted over with a fresh coat of yellow paint. My daughter found an old bandaid on the swingset with dry blood. The propane filling station is out of service, ALL of the picnic tables are dry rotted and need replaced. We were going to stay 2 nights until we got there. We got in at 5pm and left first thing this morning. We chose KOA to stay at because they hold themselves to a higher standard. Not this KOA, the owners must not care too much about this place, it needs to be closed and fixed. The staff can only do so much, i will say they are super friendly and the condition of the park is out of their control if the owners refuse to fix these problems. We review Rv parks on our YouTube channel and have stayed at KOAs from Myrtle Beach, Sc to Medford, Oregon. This by far has to be the WORST one weve ever seen. Very sad.

Went to visit my mom for the 4th, had a Great time! The park is very clean, and very safe feeling. The restrooms and showers were clean. The dog park is gated in. Location is great, its right off the highway and you cant hear the vehicles on the highway because there are big beautiful trees everywhere that block the traffic noise. The cabins are cute.

We informed KOA staff we were going to be a late arrival. When we got there and checked in, they didn t give us a code for the bathhouses. I called the after hours number. The voice message said if an emergency, leave a message and someone would call back shortly. No one ever called back that. It or the next morning. Totally dissatisfied.

Tried to stay here. No one answered the phone so I left message, arrived an hour later, never received a call back. Upon arrival office was close, before noon on a Monday, tried to call again from driveway no answer left another message drove through the park, no one showed up so we went to another RV park. Glad we did. Still have not received a call back. I suggest going elsewhere. Usually KOA is pretty reliable.....not here.

I booked for 2 nights due to having to stop our journey traveling due to inclement weather. I booked it and arrived after office hours. When we arrived I did not feel safe at all. Between the condition of the campground, its location, the motel next door and lack of security. We stayed a half hour at best, then left. The staff member I interacted was very nice. I told her why I had left the next morning. I told her I wasnt going to write anything negative, I just didnt feel safe. She advised she was going to credit me. O ly to call back to say the managers said I didnt give 48 hrs notice so no refund. I dont mind being charged the first night, but I was there half an hour, and not there the second. Thats on the owner. Not good business to do that but that is their choice. After I saw the latest review I feel I made the right choice. I hope the owners can remedy some things there.

I could use the bathrooms without feeling like I need to burn my clothes when I left ! We enjoyed it! If I could change anything is that it had a kids play ground more my son s age . He s 11 and a lot of the toys on the play ground were too little for him! But overall a great weekend !

1/5 We drove 22 hours for a dirty unkept RV rental on property. We wouldnt have stayed except the fact we were there to surprise our daughter. Even though the RV is OLD & falling apart, cleaning goes a long way. Outdoor BBQ, deck & furniture on the deck, inside floors, counter tops, dinette, couches, all filthy & the ceiling fan was disgusting (did not use that), linens included 3 wash clothes, 1 hand towel, 1 bath towel, for 3 people for 3 days (glad I brought my own). The control box located in the bathroom at the floor as you walk in from the bedroom was broke and duct taped which kept falling open. Day 2 they had a water main break....wouldnt have been a problem (things happen) they filled the reserve water tank on the RV, but we were told not to use it except for flushing the toilet that he didnt know the last time the tank had been sanitized. No washing dishes, so we couldnt use the kitchen, no showers unless we went to the community showers. We did not stay. DO NOT RENT THE ON PROPERTY RV!!!!

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you dont mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. Theres also a little book and stuff exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if youre in the front of the park. If youre planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, its now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell. Walkability: Right off I-20, so theres little space for walking trails; the grounds themselves are nice enough to walk around, however if youre looking to go to a store (other than the kampstore), out for dinner, or just for a hike, youll need to take your vehicle. Noteworthy details: The location is convenient to Abilene and Dyess AFB. The cost is reasonable. The staff is doing well at keeping the place up.

This KOA is under new management. the pros- good freeway access, close to shopping and restaurants, mistletoe in the trees ( it is Christmas time) and rigs were spaced out so you didn t have a neighbor on top of you, site was long and a nice office staff. The cons It seems to have been built before big rigs were the norm. It took 3 tries to get our 43 foot class A situated so our big slide wouldn t the power stand. or the picnic table ( I moved it out of the way) causing us to have to unhook . The locust tree branches scraped the top of the rig but no damage. The biggest negative was the noise from the freeway. Earplugs help if you are a light sleeper like me. The sites are close to each other and tree positions make it tricky to get in and out of your site. Good for smaller rigs.

The good :Camp ground is decent, I would say not a great part of town but no one bothered us. Its next to a motel with BRIGHT lights but not a deal breaker wasnt really here to enjoy camping but to see our son. The bad: we couldnt hook up sewer we took the cap off it was over flowing. Infact it was overflowing onto the ground in a camp right next to us where the sewer had no cap at all. We told the maintenance guys they came and looked and oh thats been like that for awhile. It irritated my husband the entire stay as one we had to smell it the whole weekend two its a 30 cent cap easy fix they had no desire to fix. We had to dump somewhere else which kinda sucked, seeing we paid for all the hook ups. Will will visit again but pick a different spot than 13.

New management has let the park go downhill very quickly, I was there just a month shy of 3 years and finally had enough. The grass around our spot had not been mowed in over a month, tree limbs that fell 3 weeks ago remained in our yard as well. The rules change daily depending on who is working, no ice, no propane, no Wi-Fi, no cable and no sense of urgency by any employees on staff to fix any of the issues. The mens bathroom door does not lock, people from the Motel 6 next door regularly walk through the park, around campers and the pool area and nothing has been done about it, they come through the giant hole in the fence that has been knocked down for almost a month.

They began charging an incidental fee upon checking out BEFORE checking your cabin to see if you cleaned it. For what I pay for one night, they need to clean the cabin. Not that I believe they check the cabins cleanliness fully anyway, due to the fact that weve had to clean the entire cabin, sweep and wipe down mattresses the last THREE times we have stayed here. Found childrens chewable Tylenol tablets under the bunk beds 2/3 of those times, and I have small children. You cant cook in the room, theyre under a burn ban, which means no campfire, or grilling. How, exactly, do they expect people to eat? Already paying too much for what were getting, theres no bathroom in the cabin, you have to walk to get to that and the showers, and they dont offer incidentals, nor are they a hotel, so they shouldnt be charging a fee for cleanliness that they obviously arent truly concerned about due to the filthy cabin weve stayed in each time. They dont deserve any stars, but got one due to the fact that I have to.

When leaving, 2 campers had their trucks parked in the road. We had to disconnect and take about 20 extra minutes to maneuver around. Also a camper left dogs unattended all day barking and trying to go through screen of open window. The 4 stars is because of issues with long-term customers they should monitor.

We liked the park. The shower facilities were much better than the last park we stayed at. You will have your privacy here. There is a little road noise from the highway, but not bad. They also have little cabins you can stay in.

This KOA is a mixed bag. Some spaces are shady, others are not, and its HOT! Our space was good for our large rig but, no shade available unfortunately. The laundry room Is clean, and one of the few that is air conditioned, nice! The dog run is spacious and clean. It has ample seating, and the ground cover is a mix of grassy areas and gravelly areas which is good. The downside; cable TV was a bust on arrival, we were not given the required cable box. Once we added the box (the next day), cable service was intermittent. Cable only connects to a single TV, we have multiple watching options on our RV. Cable service is very poor, and cuts in and out; it was out for an hour or longer at times. Wifi, is free but, slow, and frequently disconnects. One last concern was an employee picking up trash in a golf cart with an unleashed pitbull. How can this location improve: As a Journey site, with a short stay mission, improving the TV service and WiFi should be a priority! Having pull-throughs that dont require disconnect would also be an improvement, the time to disconnect/re-connect was a loss of down time after driving, and was a waste of time in the morning. These are easy fixes, and hopefully will be a consideration.

Nice park but we were given the only site without shade or a picnic table. Made the reservation April 2nd for July 17th. The girl at the desk said we could not change sites but they would deliver a table to our site. They never did deliver a table. So disappointing since we were really looking forward to this KOA

I read all the reviews and was frustrated when my experience didnt compare. The front staff was some what rude, under trained, and when I asked to look us up by phone number she couldnt find us but all the other KOAs had no issues. The person in the back office ignored us while the front person was on phone for 15 minutes. Maybe additional personell are needed? Bathroom and pool run down. But the worst part, the mosquitos. I couldnt understand why everyone was going inside at 7pm. Now its summer I understand this is what you get camping, but maybe a fogger of the camp during summer would help. Without exaggerating my dogs and and I lost at least a pint of blood. I also noticed alot more full time yearly people living there. I was under the assumption, KOAs dont typically allow that.

Good for an overnight stay. Had a pull through site that was just large enough for our need of 47 . Small park with easy access. Many many long term residents throughout the park. We did not use any of the facilities but did check out the bathrooms and laundry. Appeared to have fairly new machines in the laundry and was clean. The bathrooms were a bit outdated but appeared very clean & well cared for. Would not hesitate using them. Checkin staff was friendly and site was easy to locate without help. Would do an overnight again. Felt safe.

First nice KOA, like all Ive stayed at the staff is the reason I use them. Super friendly nice and, during this crazy covid times, they are super conscious of others and their concerns.. one side of the park seem to be more of the long term stay campers and the other side seem to be short stays. The spot i was in was a pull thru. But the exit was a little tight, spots were black gravel. Pretty flat but had to adjust a little side to side . Has full amenities clean bathrooms, clean laundry, the store from had a good selectionof thing that one might need. Even if you dont own a rv they have cabins that you can stay in. Decent over the air tv channels and strong wifi. Only downside is the proximity to the I20. You do get traffic noise but thats not a deal breaker for me. Great stay.

This KOA is very convenient to Hwy 277 and I-20, Bit of traffic noise but all in all a nice one night stay for us on our way to winter in Concan, TX. This KOA is not fancy but it is clean and seems well kept. Our spot was level, power excellent and water pressure perfect. We did not check out the facilities and the pool was closed. Very nice lady with excellent customer service on our check in as we did arrive a little early....no penalty. Thank you very much. We would certainly stay again. There appear to be several rigs that are in the park long term.
