We went on a Saturday to try their loco moco. I m a native Hawaiian who is constantly missing home food! I ordered my loco moco the way we do it back home (just rice, patty, runny egg and gravy) AND THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! It was so delicious! They were also kind enough to cook a scrambled egg for our baby girl that day as well. The owner came by a few times to chat with us and him, like all the other staff there, was so nice! I m so glad they re within walking distance to us because this is easily one of my favorite places to go in town. Their prices are affordable, the vibe and energy is right, staff is amazing and their food is top notch! I highly recommend yall to pay them a visit!

Nice family owned local bar grill with great burgers!! Check out their cheese balls theyre a great surprise. The food was quick and hot and the staff is very friendly and attentive. If youre in the area definitely worth stopping in and enjoying a burger.

First time eating here, and it was phenomenal. I had their classic burger, and my wife had their hot ham and cheese. The burger was cooked to perfection, and was seasoned very well. The hot ham and cheese sub was fresh and very well seasoned. Also ordered a side of their cheese balls, bested tasting cheese bites weve ever had. Most definitely need to try this pub and grill. Edit: Also have now tried their rendition of the patty melt, and it is also amazing!

We have been wanting to go here for quite a while. Had the BLT and a hot ham and cheese. Very good. The service was fast and friendly. And now, on a Friday evening, live music. This place is great. Sorry we havent been here before now. But we will be back.

After a meh experience with the pho a while back my lady and I decided to try Winchester Pub & Grill again but have some of the regular fare. We started with the $5 Friday fried pickles which had an amazing crunch on them and held batter real well. We got the cheese balls after learning they had sold out of their smoked poppers due to a large lunch crowd. Also very good and will be back for those poppers. I ordered the MOAB (Mother Of All Burgers) after seeing it on their Facebook this morning. It was extremely messy and extremely delicious and evidently Im the 5th person to finish it although I dont know how. Its a good size but no match for me. The onion rings I got with it? Magnificent! Perfectly battered like the pickles and you could bite them without the onion being pulled thru and tasted amazing. My lady ordered the basic burger with sweet potatoe waffle fries. She said the burger had a tons of flavor, super juicy and the waffle fries were her favorite. We never caught the waitress name but she recommended to try them with maple syrup and it was surprisingly very good. The owner came and congratulated me on finishing the MOAB and I told him how amazing it was and will be back for another. We stayed for the first round of trivia where we placed 3rd only to find out only first and second place get a gift certificate, but oh well, we had fun. This spot will definitely be in regular rotation for us. With 2 waters the total was $65 before tip which was well worth it. The food, service and fun we had was amazing.

This place is a GEM. The food is cooked fresh, fried items are done correctly. You gotta try the cheese balls!!! Wings are on point , the burger is a custom grind of great meats! Fries are like that egg washed tempura kind, the waffle sweet potato fries were to die for! Prices are good, waitstaff attentive, and the atmosphere is upbeat with military decor. Wish i had known about this place sooner and Definitely will return.

I was so looking forward to going to this restaurant after church this past Sunday, 30JUN24. The sign on the window said theyre open on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. Went to the restaurant with my family after church at about 12:30 p.m. and the doors were locked solid! Apparently they spread lies! They dont want customers! And Im seriously considering not going there again... If I could give negative Stars I would...

I took my mom whos visiting from out of town and daughter for lunch today and it was fantastic! She wanted to try a local spot and was definitely not disappointed! She said it was the best burger shes ever had, and this is coming from a woman with 30 years in the restaurant business! We tried the cheese balls and they were to die for. The waitress was awesome and let us know all the specials and gave us recommendations, was super helpful with describing the drinks for my mom, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. 10/10 would recommend, and my mom cant wait to come back to Abilene to eat here again!

A nondescript burger and frozen onion rings. Served open faced with unmelted cheese on the bun??? Come on, the cheese goes on a HOT patty to melt. They should watch Guy on Diners, drive ins and dives to see how a burger should be served. Fron the reviews, this should have been a 4 from me.

Staff is amazing and so welcoming. Owner came out to shake hands and chat. We ordered the jalapeño poppers which were really good! Not much heat but they re smoked and crispy. We also ordered the patty melt which was a little messy but soooo good! And the fries were nice and crispy. Last we had the chicken quesadilla, wonderful flavor as they are but added jalapeños and sour cream and it deff hit the spot. 100% recommend!!

Im upset I waited so long to try this place. The service was fantastic and the burgers were juicy and flavorful. The loaded fries were crispy and hot from the fryer. I got a Wolfy burger that had cream cheese and jalapeno poppers on it. The flavors were perfect but I couldnt finish it because it was so heavy. Definitely get it for dinner instead of brunch. I went at around noon on a Sunday and they had people regularly coming in but was by no means busy. The service was very quick and personable. The owners were visible making rounds to check on people. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. This place needs more visibility and advertising. If youre on the fence about this place, you should just go.

Perfect place for military and civilian alike, Want a family feeling place to sit down and have a burger and beer? Winchesters is the place to go. First time visitor and I was impressed. But not as excited as others.We started with the Jalepeno Poppers. The flavor was good because they smoke them but for my wife and I, we like the bacon crispy. Their bacon had in rendered fat. We sent them back with a request to crisp up the bacon however,they returned greasy and still not cooked enough for us. Also, the ranch for dipping was a bottled ranch that wasn t good. We will pass on them next time. I got the Power bowl with chicken. The flavor of the chicken was very good and it had a good mix of beans and veggies but they were limited on a sauce to go with them. They serve this in a Large bowl that s hard to get the small veggies and beans out of and the portion size for the price is a little off. I would order it again, because it does taste good is about the only somewhat healthy dish on their menu. The wife got the lemon pepper wings and ordered them extra crispy. She ate one but stopped there. The skin was rubbery and not cooked long enough. Overall, I ll revisit if someone wants to go there but I won t seek it out until I find a better meal on the menu.

Super friendly as soon as you enter. Owner came over and introduced himself and thanked us for stopping in. This was our first time in, so we opted for the cheese balls appetizer. My wife and I both got the shaved ribeye sandwich and split some fries. Everything was fresh and really good. There was evident care in the ingredients of our menu choices. After Greg explained the burgers to us, we have to plan to go back and try those as well! All around great experience. Good eatery here in Abilene, TX.

I loved this place! Veteran owned and I saw the owner back in the kitchen working his butt off. The owner also made time to come up to our table and introduce himself and talk, thank you Greg! Was greated at the door by Amanda. Great smile, very jolly personality. Made for a very welcoming feeling upon entry. Clean, well laid out and old classic rock n roll at a level for easy conversation. I ordered jalapeno poppers, cheese burger and chili cheese fries. Poppers were very well seasoned, cooked to perfection. Sorry but they looked so good I had to try one before taking the picture. An order is actually 4. They blend their own meat for the burgers and make everything fresh with ingredients from local suppliers. Before I finished my meal, the owner and his wife came out and greated me. Talk about feeling special. Great experience. Not only will I recommend this establishment but I will make it a regular place to dine.
