Wow is all I can say! The whole experience was unbelievable and I wasn t expecting this. We drove in from out of town and stopped here because we were craving Mexican food. From the drinks to the appetizers and entrees everything was absolutely delicious!!!! We ordered skinny margaritas and I can honestly say it was the best skinny marg I ve ever had. Freshly squeezed limes and not pumped with thick sugar. We had the ceviche trio and cleaned our bowls! The sizzling fajitas were cooked to perfection and don t even get me started on the churro teepee! The owner/chef was very personable and treated us like family. We had the best customer service!!!

The person that took my order had dirty fingernails. After he took my order he opened the freezer, took out the Laura s, and threw them into the fryer with bare hands. Smh. My rice and beans were cold so I asked for a refund because my food was not hot and I didn t want to get sick. I work in the food service industry and this was piss poor service. When I asked for a refund he got angry and threw my plate across the counter. Just avoid this place. Glad I got my money back.

Worst place Ive ever had Mexican food. Not only the food was bad but the service was never there. To top it off I never felt so disappointed in my own Cultures food. Cold food no seasoning. Fake aguas dirty and dont forget the roaches. Too much much hype and expensive. Wont reccomend

Stopped by here after reading reviews about this place. Not sure what the hype was about because it was pretty much just basic. My meat was dry and overcooked for my steak taco. Not a huge fan and would not go back with so many other options. Might have been an off day, but truly not sure why so much hype.

Wow! Mexican food you can t pass up! Passing through Waco and decided to stop at this local favorite, Union Hall. There are many food selections, but the chef at Huaco got our attention and, man, did he deliver!! We got chicken bowls, chips, salsa, and the churros. And every single thing was awesome. From the presentation to taste, it was a great surprise to find this quality of Mexican food at a venue like this. If youre in the neighborhood, I highly recommend.

Incredible! Everything is made from scratch. We had the chips and salsa/queso/guac. All so so so good. Lettuce wrap tacos also so well done. Topped with pickled red onions which are my favorite. Service was great, they seemed happy to give me extra tortillas and lime slices for my pazole and were all smiles. It was way too salty but I like things saltier than the average person so I didnt mind too much, and the flavors were good. My wife and her mom complained to me about the saltiness of their quesadillas, but I assumed it was on the same level as my food. I tried a bite after they had eaten most of it (albeit after I had encouraged them to keep eating) and I was thrown off by just how salty both their quesadillas, beans, and rice all were. It was like someone had poured an extra tablespoon of salt over the top of everything and was inedible. Theyre both come from a country where it is rude to not finish your food, but I applaud them for making it through as much as they did. Since no one else has complained about salt in the reviews and the flavors were otherwise good Id like to assume it was a mishap (maybe a different chef today), but it was overall quite awful. Id have asked for a refund or at least to have the food remade if I had noticed earlier.

I am writing this review for the Huaco Eatery at Union Grove. Whenever we visit Union Grove we eat at Huaco Eatery because the food is authentic Mexican, fresh and crafted. Sebastian the owner and Chef crafts his cuisine with a passion that I have never seen by any chefs. He is extraordinary and his food exemplifies that quality. My wife ordered the flautas and they were outstanding. As shown in the pictures, Sebastian served the food in a display meant for a queen. The flautas are handmade and their taste reflects that. His salsas are delicious. We ve had several items on the menu and they are all great! Whenever you re in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine go visit Chef Sebastian at Huaco Eatery at Union Grove.

The first words out of my mouth before placing an order was to inform the cashier that I had a gluten allergy and asking if the grilled chicken bowl was safe for me to have. The cashier told us the bowl was gluten free and we proceeded to place our order. When I opened my plate there was naan bread in it so my food was now cross contaminated after making sure I could be accommodated. Upon returning to the cashier she said that it wasn t wheat just naan and did nothing to fix their mistake. I ended up not being able to eat my food and had to give it away to my husband and buy food at another restaurant instead. I was not going to put myself through an allergic reaction due to someone else s recklessness and I ll never trust them enough to order food from here again. Good Flavors, High Prices I recently visited Huaco Eatery in Waco, Texas, and I was overall impressed with the food. I ordered the el pastor quesadilla, and while it didnt have very much meat on it, the cheese was melted perfectly and the flavor was delicious. The tortillas were also very fresh and made the quesadilla extra crispy. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made sure that my food was cooked to my liking. I have definitely had better Mexican food than this place, but it was decent. Here are some pros and cons of my experience: Pros: Good flavors Fresh ingredients Friendly and attentive staff Quick service Large portions Cons: The el pastor quesadilla could have used a little more meat, it was mainly cheese. The prices are a bit on the high side. My quesadilla was $15 and my topo chico was $5.25

Holy Moly! Get the PAZOLE! Hueco Eatery never disappoints. The chef in the kitchen has stirred up just the right amount of red chicken stew and hominy. The soup is dressed with fresh avocado and homemade tortilla strips. Of course they have all of the freshest ingredients to top off the soup. The Huaco Nachos are each individually made with ground beef, refried beans and cheese. They are served on a chip that is handmade in the kitchen! Service is excellent and the ladies in the kitchen dish it right up! Top shelf!

I recently visited this Huaco eatery and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. From the moment I stepped up to order, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The menu had a great selection of Mexican classics such as tacos, posole, and quesadillas, as well as some unique dishes that were new to me. I decided to try the quesadilla, which were some of the best Ive ever had! The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Ive ate here 2x while visiting Waco. Bothe experiences were exceptional. The food is amazing. Customer service is great. And the priced are reasonable. During my visits I ordered Pazoli, queso and chips, fluotas, and the lettuce wrapped tacos. The pazoli is amazing, homemade, and tasty, fresh made daily and served hot! Queso is soo good, the chips are fresh, floutas are homemade and very very tasty. And the lettuce wrapped tacos are out of this world. The combo of the pastor with lemon and the lettuce makes a wonderful flavor combustion in your mouth.. so juicy and fresh. All the food is fresh and homemade. The rice and beans are great and so flavorful. The tacos are topped with Pico, pickled onions, and salsa verde. The aqua frescas are amazing also!!. Id highly recomend this place it will not disappoint! 5 stars!!!

So good and exceptional that I had to write a review like some of other customers. I have lived in TX for 40 years - all my life and I have to say that I have NEVER had Mexican food that was this good. We came here on a whim just looking for a place to eat and it looked good so we got the Posole, Chicken Tinga, Lettuce Wrapped Arrachera Taco, and roasted corn. EVERYTHING was so good!!! I even told the manager they need a full restaurant. The food was healthy too it didnt leave us feeling so bloated. Took pictures of our food as well. You will not go wrong eating at Huaco!!! So delicious I had to write a review! I am a Waco local, and have wanted to try Huaco Eatery ever since they opened in Union Hall. I finally tried it, and it was absolutely delicious! I had the flautas, and I would highly recommend trying them. The staff were friendly and my food was given to me quickly. I also had a mango agua fresca, which was SO good. Food was amazing! If you like Mexican food this is the perfect place! The employees were very friendly and it was clear to see the tremendous amount of pride they took in the business. My family and I were surprised and thankful when an employee brought us over some flavored water. He said he knew we were visiting the area and wanted us to be able to try. While many of the other restaurants called a name when the order was ready, Huaco Eatery personally delivered the food to our table.

After reading the reviews, I was excited to eat here. One word . Disappointed. Got the beef and chicken nachos. If I d have just gotten the beef, it would have been four stars. What is not to like? Well seasoned beef, lots of cheese, with guacamole and sour cream. However, the chicken was bland and I left two on my plate. Then I found a little foil piece in my food. Not good for the old appetite. Won t say I won t eat there again, but I ll make the rounds of the rest of Union Hall before I consider it.

Our family stopped by for dinner during a Baylor college visit. I cancelled my order shortly after it was placed and there was some confusion regarding my refund and how the process was handled. I have to say that I have never received better customer service from a restaurant before in a response to a complaint. I was contacted by the owner right after I posted a negative review and she stayed on the problem until it got resolved. I ordered the yucca fries and house salad with added chicken. Appearance/presentation = beautiful, looks delicous Yucca fries = too acidic, hard; not good Yucca fries dipping sauce = acidic House salad =too acidic, too much dressing, soggy pieces of salad; Chicken =overcooked and dry Overall, its just way too acidic and missing a nice creamy element to balance everything. It was all too monotone and not cooked well. Stomach was not happpy an hour later.

Indoor trendy food court style location. Food was ok. Al Pastor tacos, my usual, were worst I ever had (but pretty). Way too salty & vinegary! Really drippy greasy too. ($4.50 each). Ive eaten a lot of Al Pastor. Yucca fries were meh, not sure if that tiny portion is worth $5. The Chicken Things bowl was good.

Very impressed with the food but was outdone by the presentation! I ordered the flautas and not only were they delicious, they looked just like the photos at the eatery! The chef prepares traditional Mexican food with so many layers of flavor and beauty. You are immediately impressed with the food presentation and cannot wait to begin eating. My flautas were delicious as well as the beans and rice. If you have not tried Huaco Eatery, you simply must. You can tell the chef takes great pride in providing delicious traditional food.

Some of the best Mexican food Ive ever had and hands down the best in Waco. It is not your typical Tex-Mex but dont let that stop you from trying this place. I have tried many things on their menu- flautas, empanadas, roasted corn, lettuce wrap tacos, bowls, the specials- needless to say I make a point of eating there several times a month. Everything is always delicious and fresh. I couldnt recommend them more.

That was the BEST food I ve had in a very long time. We ordered the corn, Yuka fries, empanadas, the al pastor quesadillas, and chimichangas. It was all amazing!!! I cannot rave enough. I wish I lived in Waco instead of just passing by so I could eat here more. Fantastic.

This place was absolutely delicious! My husband and I were in the mood for something different and we happened to stumble upon this place in Union Hall. Everything we ordered was fantastic - but I particularly enjoyed the green pozole! Super flavorful and just SOO good!! We really enjoyed our meal here and can t wait to go back! Oh! And be sure to try the agua frescas too! We had the mango one this time around, and are looking forward to trying the passion fruit one next time!

Ordered via DoorDash. Got the veggie bowl & beef empanadas. The veggie bowl... wow! I love it! It s very large and plenty of healthy veggies to eat. The empanadas are sooo good too, though I m not sure I would pay $10 for another order. They come with a bit of what I think is cotija cheese on top for those who don t eat that sort of thing. Perfect way to spend my Saturday night at home.

I live in San Antonio TX. Went there per cousins recommendation. Great lil road trip. Im impressed with the menu and the uniqueness of the entrée and starters. Everything we got was full of flavor and cook to literally perfection. My compliments to the chef! I posted a few pics of the stuff we got. The far best chicken flautas in Waco, actually ever in my life. Im not from Waco so I was in search of genuine authentic Mexican cuisine and I found it The Guac Live is to die for as an appetizer. I was excited to try this place after seeing that they have recently opened! The staff was super friendly but the food was a different story. I tried the chicken tinga and the grilled chicken bowl and they were barely edible. The meat was sitting on what looking like a cold grill for god knows how long.. The No sugar added hibiscus agua fresca tasted like pure sugar.. I could stomach a single part of my meal. I would recommend the owners go back to the drawing board and try the food that is being served because I promise the owner would not have stomached my dinner either. Highly disappointing.. :(
