Coming from out of state we had never seen this restaurant before. We went for dinner and were happy with our choice. The food was yummy and fresh. I had the avocado chicken sandwich and my husband had the blackened tilapia. Both were excellent. Service was quick. Our waitress was so friendly and gave us tips about the local area. My first experience trying Cotton Patch was horrible. I ordered a steak and the wait time was 45 minutes which is a long time to wait but I really wanted steak. Once I arrived the lady came out and took my name. I waited another 15 minutes just for her to tell me that they didnt have any steaks. Needless to say I was beyond angry. They asked if I wanted anything else I said no thank you could I get a refund. I waited another 15 minutes but she never came back out. I went in and even though workers were passing me left and right I got no help after waiting at least 7 minutes. Long story kind of short this place was a bad first experience but I just ordered a steak and we will see how it goes

There was a problem with the fish I ordered, maybe just a bad food product but everything else I ordered was very tasty. Because of the product issue, the manager, Christie, came by to our table with an apology and offered me an alternative meal. The waitresses treated everyone at our table wonderfully as usual. The consistent good service is one of the best things I love about Cotton Patch, Waco TX. The issue with the fish did not make me sick.

Me and my partner visited this location a while back on a Sunday afternoon, we were greeted very well by our host but our waitress was just the rudest most unprofessional women we have ever encountered. I ordered a Chicken fried steak myself and i had a few edits i wanted to make to it, such as brown gravy as appose to the white gravy, throughout the entire experience we received eye rolls and mean, annoyed looking faces. I was very tempted to ask if we had done something wrong, She was super nice to every old person that was sitting around us. We are both 27, she had nothing but smiles and jokes for everyone around. She was an older waitress and maybe she didnt enjoy younger people sitting in her section? Well i have never in my life not tipped a person, so i left her 2$ because thats what she earned, worst experience at a cotton patch. Me and my partner went here after visiting the Austin Texas location. Big, ENOURMAS difference.

Cotton Patch - Waco: Lunch 12:00 p.m. 08/25 My lunch buddy and I went here today for his first visit. We entered the building and fortunately there was no wait. The hostess did not speak to us as we motioned with two fingers how many of us there were. She grabbed the menus and walked us to the far corner of the restaurant and said nothing. Our server came immediately. Misty was on her game and got us tea and Diet Pepsi (no coke ). We ordered chips, salsa, and queso as well as a plate of fried green tomatoes with avocado and regular ranch. Please, dont forget the salt on the chips! The batter on the fried green tomatoes was perfectly crispy but there was absolutely no seasoning in the batter. Bland! For entrees, we ordered meatloaf. I had broccoli rice casserole and macaroni and cheese while my friend had mashed potatoes and broccoli rice as well. Without a doubt, Cheddars and Georges offer superior broccoli rice casserole and macaroni and cheese. The meatloaf was delicious though and was literally steaming as I cut into it! Fresh, fresh, fresh Dear Cotton Patch, salt and pepper are your friends!! Our server, Misty, was 100% perfect. She is the server I would want every time I come here or anywhere for that matter. This woman did not miss a beat and was pleasant, prompt, but never intrusive. One strange thing I noticed is that when I looked up at the ceiling, every air conditioning vent was absolutely filthy and clogged with layers of dust and mildew. From the lobby all the way to our table, I could see these disgusting vents. Isnt this bad for the quality of air in the restaurant? Asthmatics, senior citizens, those with allergies, or this dust falling on our food? Aside from the ceiling conditions , our visit was nearly perfect. Lunch was $47.80 Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of space in this restaurants and navigate with a wheelchair. Theres plenty of wheelchair parking outside as well.

We had not been back to Cotton Patch for quite some time due to a bad service experience but decided to try it again because they were offering 9.99 value meals. We were pleasantly surprised! Our server, Matthew, was great. He was very pleasant to talk to and checked on us several times throughout the meal. The food was very good, especially since it cost less than fast food. The chicken fried steak was ample size, tasted good and the meal came with rolls, green beans and mashed potatoes. Everyone was very nice and since they have the dine in meals with a different entree option daily, we will be sure to return.

Today I had to be one of those customers on a time limit. I communicated that I had to be on my way in about 20 minutes to my server Rosa and she very kindly pointed me in the direction of choices that would help me meet that. My chicken Caesar salad came out less than 10 minutes and was delivered with a smile. Rosa couldn t have been more kind and accommodating. Check was dropped with 5 minutes to spare. In Waco visiting from Little Elm and I ordered lunch via the app: fried green tomatoes and pickles, chicken-fried-chicken with extra sides to share, rolls and cornbread. My Aunt was set to pick it up and finished her errands early. I put a call into the restaurant and they began our order immediately. Kudos to the Orders to Go group. Spot on!! Oh, my!! That cornbread was a thing of beauty. My Aunt and I fought over the cinnamon butter and the rolls were fantastic! The chicken-fried-chicken was overly generous in size and the kitchen packaged half of mine to-go. Everyone was most helpful and accommodating and the food was delicious!!! Definitely back on my go-to radar of restaurants for the future. I called the manager to thank her and praise the quality and staff as well. Keep up the great work! I had lunch there yesterday. Chicken fried chicken, Mac and cheese and broccoli rice casserole. All of the food was very bland. I had to keep adding salt just to have some flavor. The two side dishes tasted like they were from a box mix and not fresh made. They dont have a lunch menu, so lunch was $13. Too expensive. Music playing overhead was too loud. The fresh rolls were delicious and the server was prompt.

Yesterday was my first time trying this spot. Firstly, the place was clean and very spacious. Lots of tables and seating. Secondly, our waitress was very pleasant. She was friendly and made sure to tell us about all the specials for the day. And I was amazed at how many specials they had! Lots of $5 deals! Lastly, the food was delicious. Everything I tried was so tasty. I had the meatloaf with the cheddar broccoli rice and mashed potatoes. As an appetizer we had the fried pickles and fried shrooms. Everything was so good! I will for sure be visiting this restaurant again. 10/10.

Left us at a table 15 minutes before anyone showed up. Dropped off drinks but didnt leave straws or sweetners. Literally its like pulling teeth to get anyones attention around here. This happened 5 months ago when I ate here with colleagues so we stopped coming. Now that its happened again, I dont see a point in ever returning.

I was feeling bad today so it was our First time ordering Cotton Patch & were SO HAPPY with our order. Ordered through the app which was super easy. I ordered chicken fried chicken & it was THE BEST crunchy,fried chicken Ive ever had with a side of fried okra & garlic mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the Dr.Peppee bacon burger & he loved it! We visited with family, the food was not hot, some was charred (not ordered that way) and our server was not attentive or pleasant. It seemed the conversation in the kitchen area was more interesting. There was only a half dozen customers in this location besides my family. Definitely cant recommend. The establishment was clean and quiet, overall.
