This is a great park with a lot of space to have the kiddos run about. The playground equipment is in good shape and offers plenty of options for them to enjoy. From monkey bars to climbing rock, our 2 girls spent a good hour making friends and having fun. There is a swing set with plenty of options for all, a few slides, climbing and jumping sections, and of course, clean restrooms. One downside from our visit was BOTH restrooms were fresh out of soap... a must have at a playgound. Toilets: Clean, but when we visited there was no soap in either room. Dog-friendliness: Many trails and open areas for your four-legged friend to enjoy. Picnic area: There are many benches around the playground, along with a covered pavilion with plenty of picnic tables. I did not notice, however, any BBQs nearby.

Great for family to spend time together, my great grandson enjoyed the the little water parks with water spraying up and raining down. They just run around kind of like we did with the water sprinklers only on a bigger scale and there are many little kids that dart here and there laughing. Adults also join in with their little ones. Great thing about this is the little toddlers, 2 and up can enjoy the fun. No deep water to worry about and its like one big fun family splashing through the water on a flat concrete surface!! Then there are the swings, slides, etc. Plenty to do with the little ones.

I have been living in Central Texas for 6 years and its amazing to see how the Cameron/Pecan Parks have transformed. The parks are well maintained and policed by the locals/law enforcement. Pecan Bottoms Park is at the base of Cameron Zoo and for you fitness freaks give Jacobs Ladder a visit, I promise that your quads will thank you! Pecan Bottoms is located directly on the Brazos river and next to miles of well developed hiking and biking trails. You can literally walk/bike/run/boat the trails from Baylor University through downtown Waco to McLennan County Community College. Theres not a shortage of friendly personalities. On any given weekend you can see retirees, medieval cosplayers, frisbee golfers, collegiate track teams, rowing teams, and picnics galore. Pecans Bottoms has great access to plenty of amenities and is littered with an eclectic selection of arts, monuments, and statues. So once you finish your workout or get tired from watching other people exercise, go to downtown Waco and some social libations. I look forward to seeing you there!

Pecan Bottom Park is one of our favorite parks in the Waco area. There are several other parks all throughout Cameron Park that we also enjoy, but this one is by far the favorite. Its typically not too difficult to find parking nearby, its right next to the Riverwalk and the Cameron Park Zoo just across the street. This park is right in the center of everything in Waco, so no matter where you want to go or what you want to do before or after stopping at this park, its just a quick walk or drive to wherever your next destination is. Cameron Park features: - 20+ miles of trails (beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert); horses are permitted on some trails - 23-hole disc-golf course - A Splash Pad - Multiple parks, playgrounds and scenic views - The Riverwalk - The Cameron Park Zoo - Covered pavilion(s) you can reserve for special events - Walkable trails and sidewalks to downtown Waco, Baylor and more Writer at ExpertTexan.com

Not to bad of a park. Not much to the playground, splash pad is ok and the walk way down the river is nice. Just dont like people dont know how the teach their kids how to act. Throwing mud into my kids eyes when my kids werent even playing with their kids. And they just sit there and watch them do it.
