Took over an hour just to get appetizer and an hour and a half to get food. Anything fried is swimming in grease, guess they don t drain before serving. Haven t been here in a while so decided to try it again and it was again a mistake. We won t be back.

Spent over $100 on seafood for 2 just to taste like nothing then $19 for one crab leg when I spent that much somewhere else and got 2 big legs. Came to try it out because people said how good the food was and it was very disappointing never will I go again or recommend it. Surfing crab is better than this and that s sad to say.

We came in 2 weeks ago for the AYCE and the service was great but today was different Came in for the AYCE crawfish again and two beers. One was cold the other was room temp. I asked to replace for another and after cracking open the second one, they mentioned that it was recently restocked and it s gonna be the same temp. She already opened it so I just took it so it wouldn t be another waste. After the 2nd refill of crawfish, we asked for another beer and it was also disappointingly room temp. Crawfish itself was delicious but the service was very inattentive. After the first initial round. It takes us less than 5 minutes to finish a refill, then We had to wait 10+ minutes for someone to even notice that our tray was even empty. For the majority of the time, I had to scan around for a server and hope that she or he even notices me just to ask for a refill. So for the hour and a half of being there, 20 minutes was actual eating and the other hour and ten was trying to get a servers attention to order a refill, didn t even get a satisfying dinner out of it because we waited so long in between refills. We order another refill at 7:44 and waited till 8:06 until another man noticed us, I told him we ve been waiting for our refill for a while and he quickly got it out, apologized for the wait and offered another refill asap. The mood was already burnt from all the waiting and just wanted to finish up and leave. But he was very respectful and apologetic.

I do not recommend the cracked crab any more. It takes them to long to get the food out and when you do get your food it is cold. Went to get crawfish and we waited for an hour and a half without getting our order. When we do get our food it was cold. So I take it back and told them its cold and I came to eat more the 3lbs of crawfish and that they had 15 minutes till they closed. They tell me sir we can get them out for you in time. No thank you. You couldnt get them out in an hour and a half I do not want them take them off of my order. It took me telling them three times to take it off my order before they took the hint.

Randomly stopped at this place with my wife and daughter on a road trip from Houston to Laredo. Wasn t expecting the best seafood because of location in Texas, but we were both pleasantly surprised. Food was great. We got the ceviche and shrimp tacos. Both were excellent. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Could see this being a cool spot to grab and beer and hang out at night if you re local.

The staff excels in hospitality. We ordered over $400 worth of shrimp, 2 types of crab, n sides. They brought out complimentary, fantastic rolls for our long wait in getting our food. Everything is boiled without much seasoning, but there is a shaker on the table to season your own. It is not at all Cajun spicy like we expected but a bit bland. We didnt complain, but did stop eating when we found a bug, possibly a, well a bug with wings. I loved the atmosphere n play area for the kids, especially the huge Jenga blocks. We probably wont return.

The food is always excellent but the young waitress wasnt very friendly. There were two very young girls and one was really nice but the other one needed some customer service skills. She tried to give my order to another table twice, then returned to the kitchen because she didnt know what to do with it. The other waitress brought it back out moments later. My wife had already started on her platter by the time I was served. There werent any apologies from either waitress. This is the first time Ive ever been disappointed in their service and this will not deter me from returning there.

I love this place!!! So far I have had the mussels, the fish and tails etoufee, and of course the key lime pie. My daughter and son in law had a crab boil there as well. Every bite has been perfectly seasoned, perfectly done, perfectly satisfying. Im going back as many times as possible before I have to leave, as I will never be back here again to enjoy this hidden gem. It breaks my heart to know there is never going to be another cracked crab in my future. The fish and tails etoufee will live in my dreams. The fried catfish at the heart is not heavily fishy as many times catfish can be.... all lying over a welcoming warm bed of dirty rice.... blanketed with that beautiful silky etoufee. The crispy, deep fried crawdad tails sprinkled over the top give this dish the completeness of a sweet dream. This is a dish that begs another bite. Do not hesitate to find this gem of a restaurant as soon as you possibly can. Have a sweet tea and a heavenly slice key lime pie to complete your experience.

Service was awesome, the Ambience was great. Unfortunately the ladies bathroom had no toilet paper or paper towels, says my wife. Men s room was adequate. Glad we went, but probably won t return.

This dining experience was lackluster at best! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was good but for the money, I was not impressed. Our meal was served on paper plates with cheap plastic forks, the portions were small and the food was simply disappointing. The term Cajun typically means well seasoned with a degree of heat. It would be generous of me to label either of our meals as a half hearted attempt. Definitely will not go there again

Open seat eating. You order at the counter, pick your table and they bring your food. The service and atmosphere is good. The food is ok. I ordered the BLT, the bread slices were the thinnest slices I think Ive ever seen. There was a good amount of bacon on it but not much else. My husband got some kind of chicken thing. The menu showed this dish as being spicy, it was not even close to being spicy, he said it was good though. I love seafood and had planned to order a seafood dish but when looking at the prices, I stuck with the BLT. The American food is priced about right but the seafood was over priced IMO.

I was about to give this place a lower rating since we waited over an hour for our food. We stopped by on from an out of town trip and we figured it would be a good place to stop for lunch. After we ordered we were not told that the wait would be long due to the crawfish not being available yet. After waiting an hour we finally asked since we did need to get back on the road and our waitress responded with information saying they ran out of crawfish and we would need to wait 15 more minutes for the crawfish to be done cooking. My wife and I were a little upset that they didnt say anything about that in the beginning. Yes we probably would have left to avoid the wait, and lets be honest, thats probably the reason it wasnt mentioned. Since we had already wasted and hour there was no sense to go elsewhere to risk wasting even more time. We stayed and waited which ended up being a smart decision. The crawfish was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed all the food but for me the crawfish being so fresh was definitely worth the wait. If this place was closer to my home I would definitely be eating here more often. Kudos to our waitress who understood our initial frustration and brought us some cobbler in an effort to made our experience a better one. After the crawfish came out I would say the cobbler wasnt necessary. Id say 4.5 stars is more accurate, and overall my wife and I were happy. Id like to think them for the excellent food and good service with a smile. Next time we are in the area this is were we will be eating.

Not too bad for Cajun outside of SETX or LA. They start you off with a basket of sweet raisin and sweet jalapeno miffins with a cinnamon butter. The sweet tea was good and not too sweet. The seafood and sausage Gumbo was good, but I prefer Gumbo to have a chocolate roux for a more intense flavor. The gator bites and sauce were delicious. The crawfish was cooked perfectly and had fairly good heat. I definitely have to come back to try more of the menu.

I want to start with the service. If the food was horrible (it wasnt), I would still give Arianna 10 stars. She was amazing. When we got there around 5:30, there were a few tables occupied. Arianna greeted us with a big smile and walked us through the menu. While we were deciding, she went to serve a table food. After we ordered, we grabbed a table and waited as the place slowly began to fill up. She was not only the hostess, she was also the server and cashier. She also found time to check on all the tables. I was astounded when she asked if I wanted a refill. I told her she already had her hands full, but thank you. We got our own refills. I would have felt bad having her do it. Now, the food. We started off with the fried pickles. They were good. Our youngest had the fried shrimp. And I was not expecting there to be so many! He thought they were really good. The oldest boy had the cajun something. He forgot the name of it. He said it was excellent and very filling. I had the shrimp wraps. Absolutely wonderful. My husband and I agreed that it tasted like his grandmothers shrimp salad, minus the pasta shells. Yes. It was that good. Finally, my husband had the big crab boil. We met in Alaska. I was raised there, so we are a little picky about crab. Damn. We havent had crab that good since we left AK in 2009. Was it a little pricey? Yes. But for the quality and the quantity, it is reasonable. Where my husband and oldest found room to have dessert, I do not know. But they agreed that the key lime pie and the lava cake made the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner.

This is a nice party spot with a very beach party vibe to me. Live music this Saturday night. They specialize in seafood and Cajun but also have burgers, fries and grilled cheese for the kids. I had the Blazin Cajun plate -- HOT version. Cooked to order so you will wait a bit and it was indeed hot. It seems some other reviewers come to a Cajun place and expect it to have NO spice. Dont let those confused folks dissuade you, this is a cool little place out by the lake with quality food and service.

Wife and I ate here. We had gator and calamari appetizers. Plus we split the mardi gras combo. More than we could ever eat. Was so good I couldnt stop. We still took over half home with us. The service was great also. If we get back this way we will eat here again.

Had a fabulous birthday celebration dinner here on Sunday, October 17th. The very friendly and professional staff pulled out all the stops. Toi, our server, was amazing, and delivered everything hot to our table. Except the icy cold beer!!!! Tiffany and John, working the kitchen, cooked all of our food perfectly. The steaks, fried shrimp, boudin balls, grilled asparagus and green beans, king crab, and all our favorites done to perfection. Thanks Josh. You ve got a great restaurant, and staff to go with it. We ll see you soon.

This morning, my family of 4 decided to go have Brunch at the Cracked Crab. It was the best decision ever! I got the crab cake eggs Benedict, and it was PERFECT! English muffin toasted just right, crab cakes with a wonderful texture and the eggs cooked to perfection! Even my picky little one was happy with her food, and my son finished off my food! My husband enjoyed his plate too, and hes where the little one gets her pickiness from! We will definitely be going back!

Ive eaten at this restaurant several times now. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable, and offer great menu suggestions when asked. And the food - delicious, flavorful and always fresh. Great place for family dining, as there is lots of outdoor space and a variety of menu options guaranteed to please both adults and children.

Food was fair, but not worth the price. Dirty rice had no flavor. My son wouldnt even take it home for later. And he likes Dirty rice. They dont offer hushpuppies without jalapeños for those of us that cant tolerate the spice. I got asparagus instead. It was barely grilled, not trimmed, and cold. And the kicker for the evening, I asked, when I went to get my drink, to change out the Dr. Pepper because it was out. It took a long time to get our food and even as we checked out, there was still no Dr. Pepper. Yes I did let the manager know. This was a birthday dinner for my son, but not a very good one.

I came today with my family today and was blown away. Not only was the food perfect( the shrimp in particular) but the atmosphere was great, they even had a band playing outside. The owner Josh came out and talked to us and was very kind. We will definitely be returning! Great food. Great service.

I hadnt been here in a long time. It was still great food and I loved the setting. I sat outside even in 90 degree weather, it was perfect with the fans going. I wish there was a place like this where I live. Staff were friendly and I cant wait to go back again.

I came with my family, everybody liked it but me, my main complaint is that the shrimp was unnecessarily spicy, it was not labeled as spicy, and I have 0 tolerance for spice, I will not soil this restaurants good name for we enjoyed our experience for the most part, it s a great place, if you don t like spice don t get the shrimp though

The fried food was burnt! From the boudin balls to the fried oysters!!! And in the Mardi Gras platter the clams were few and far between, like most of them were empty! $69 for empty shells is NOT cool! And when we asked to speak to the manager.... ha at first he was in the back running the show and then when we asked if the manager forgot about us we were told the SHE was taking an order and would be right with us!!! NEVER CAME TO THE TABLE!!!! Do not recommend!!!

This is my 2nd time. For a $160 tab was a little disappointed. We ordered shrimp and clams. Half of the clams were over cooked and the other half of the clams had no meat in there. The boudin balls were over cooked to the point of burnt. Another plate ordered with fried oysters was burnt. The corn in the boil was over cooked. We asked for a manager twice and he never came to the table. Over priced food under serviced.

Keep hearing about this place so this evening we drove over to check it out. As we entered the Cashier was on her phone. We stood there about a minute before she looked up and acknowledged us. She explained the process of grabbing a menu to decide what we wanted and told us to return to her when we were ready. My grandson went back to order first since he knew what he wanted, he waited until she was done with whatever she was doing on her phone before she acknowledged him. (Management may consider banning cell phones from employees at work so theyll do their jobs professionally) We placed our orders and filled our drinks then found a place to sit outside. We sat at our table at least 15 minutes before a Waitress greeted us, brought a roll of paper towel and a basket containing 2 jalepeno mini muffins and 2 sweet muffins. (Not sure how these muffins fit in with the meal). Our Waitress was friendly and asked if we needed anything else then told us our food would be ready soon. While waiting for our food, we let the kids play out back and noticed it was much cooler on the front porch area of the restaurant so we moved. We finally got our food. The Waitress who brought our food was not friendly at all. She delivered two plates and turned around to get the rest of our order without asking if we needed anything else. We had to ask for salt and pepper, ketchup and forks. She actually ended up having to make 3 extra trips to get everything we needed because every time she delivered a plate, she ran off before we could ask for anything else. The catfish and shrimp was supposed to be fried but it wasnt crunchy nor was it hot. It seemed that the food sat in the kitchen for a before we got our plates. Another plate we ordered was a link of sausage, six boiled shrimp, a hard boiled egg, a potato and a piece of corn served on top of dirty rice with a spicy sauce drizzled over the top. The shrimp had a good flavor but the rice was mushy. The prices charged for this mediocre food is disappointing. Ive gotten better tasting seafood at Long John Silvers.

We decided to try the Cracked Crab last night. We love Cajun and Seafood. The Mosquitoes were Horrible entering the Restaurant. The Atmosphere was nice, You Order at the Counter so you dont have much time to look over the Menu with Customers lined up and was packed. The food was too pricey for what we Ordered and my fried fish was dark brown almost burnt the coating had no flavor. The dirty rice was really good. My Husbands shrimp was undercooked and almost burnt. We were charged $6 for 2 koozies we didnt get. We wont be back.

Mothers day so I understand being busy. That being said, we arived at 11:50, got a buzzer at 12, got buzzed TO COME ORDER, at 1:15ish, got our food around 2:30. The food was pretty decent and the seafood bisque was amazing but we had to pretty much commit a significant portion of our day just to eat here. I also ordered a soda that the waitress never brang so I had to order from the bar and still got charged for both. Its not a bad place if you have some patients and from what Im told, this was only slightly more busy than they usually are on the weekend. Is still suggest trying it. Boudin balls are filled with cheese which was dope.
