Holiday Inn Tyler TX ** DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! **** DONT BOOK YOUR CONFERENCE!!! +++THEY HAVE BUGS IN THEIR BEDS+++ **** SATURDAY 9/07/2024 **** REFUSE TO TAKE OWNERSHIP/ACCOUNTABILITY BY REFUNDING IN FULL OR PARTIALLY THE MONEY PAID FOR THE ROOM. THE GENERAL MANAGER SHELLY IS YET TO SPEAK TO ME AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS FROM MYSELF & IHG GUEST RELATIONS. KATY THE ASSISTANT GM IS DISMISSIVE OF ME & MY CONCERN([in my opinion] impliesshe is used to hearing about bug complaints). SHE STATED THIS IS EAST TEXAS AND THERE ARE BUGS HERE. QUINTIN(front desk) WHO CAME TO THE ROOM ---SAYS I HAVE THESE AT MY HOUSE TOO. UMMMM....I DONT AND ESPECIALLY NOT CRAWLING ON ME IN MY BED. SHELLY/KATY(per their response to IHG Guest Relations) SAY BECAUSE I MOVED ROOMS THIS SATIFIES THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO ME. THAT IS THE BARE MINIMUM THE HOTEL COULD DO IS MOVE ME. WHO IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO STAY IN A ROOM THAT HAS BUGSIN THE BED? NOBODY. GM SHELLY DID NOT CALL ME ON MONDAY(9/09) TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE EXPERIENCE OR INCONVENIENCE. I HAD TO CALL THEM ON TUESDAY (9/10). SHELLY TOLD ME THEY DISCUSSED IT ON MONDAY MORNING BUT MADE NO CALL TO ME THAT DAY. TODAY(9/17) I SPOKE TO IHG GUEST RELATIONS & STILL NO OTHER RESPONSE FROM HOTEL MANAGEMENT. -----STAY AT YOUR OWN PERIL -- FOR AN EXPERIENCE OF BUGS IN YOUR BED & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HOTEL MANAGEMENT---- Shawn Gibson

Make this your first stop when you arrive in Tyler, to pick up a Tyler Fun Map, as well as other brochures for attractions in Tyler and East Texas. The Visitor Center staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have about must see and do activities while youre visiting, and dont forget to pick up some Tyler souvenirs to take home with you, also!

Susan Travis educates us well on what our groups will enjoy while in the area. Anthony is a great step-on guide. Thanks for hosting another of our groups!

We are preparing to move to Texas and stopped here for information and brochures. Coming from Ohio where people are surely not as friendly as they are here it was a Texas culture shock to come upon the very rude woman working here on New Years Eve day. Not what one would expect to experience at such a place. Employees at Walmart have been more welcoming here.
