So I came here when this place first opened and I think it was not all that bad, we had the all you can eat sushi and lets just say I ate a little to much, but hey thats what this place is for right? Well anyways the only complaint was that almost all the combinations came with crab if you get it with another meat crab had always been in all of them, I dont know but I just got tired of eating crab in all the sushi rolls. It was good though and maybe they are coming up with something different.

Great service, and great ambiance. We got the chicken fried rice, crawfish roll and puffs with a lemon cloud tea with blueberry boba. The good was really well cooked and tasted solid but they keep it fairly bland leaving it up to you to season which is fine if they had salt and pepper at the table. They do not. What they do have is soy sauce. My only actual complaints are that they don t have salt and pepper at the tables, and that the lemon tea just had a sliced shredded lemon in it instead of on the lip of the cup or just had lemon juice in it instead. This leads to pieces of lemon going up my straw and into my mouth which I didn t enjoy much.

Huge place, went for lunch. Place was almost empty, but the girl didn t seem to care about seating me right away. Food was very mediocre. It was just me, and I didn t have the appetite for AYCE, so just got 2 rolls and some nigiri. I was pretty unimpressed. Likely won t be back unless I m desperate.

This is a place you must visit. Everything is fresh and made to order. Cost of the buffet was minimal considering what was served. Waiter was ok. The place was great. They had an enormous variety of sushi. I dont particularly like sushi, but they offered hibachi options which were amazing. Some family members ordered sushi and they said it was amazing as well. Our server checked on us and made sure we lacked for nothing. I would definitely come here again.

I never review anything but I was so upset about this experience that I waited 2 weeks to write this review and I m still upset.. for context I lived in Japan for 2 years and then in Florida for another 5 years, both places with excellent seafood. Now I understand that Tyler is not close to the coast and fair enough I wasn t expecting anything top notch but I also wasn t expecting to be so let down! The all you can eat is $32, but coming from a city of 2 million the all you can eat sushi there was higher grade quality sushi for only $18.99 and in smaller portions (4 pieces at max not an entire full sized roll) to fully enjoy the entire menu. The spicy tuna tasted like bagged spicy tuna you eat out of desperation (you know the one) and the crab meat tasted like the imitation crab from Walmart. My husband ordered the miso soup and he said it tasted like plain hot water. The calamari was rubbery and the spicy crab meat salad was lackluster at best and by the end I was so disappointed in everything I ordered except the seaweed salad. The inside is really nice and relaxing and the service was great! The all you can eat is a great idea, but for $32 I was expecting the quality to be way better.

Our family really enjoys the food here and the female owner (I believe) is so sweet and our first trip when they first opened, she took care of us and was amazing. But this last time we went, we had a gentlemen wait on us and he was utterly appalling. Firstly, we asked for napkins and silverware 4 times prior to myself just getting up and looking for it myself which led to him snapping at me saying hed do it. Well, you havent yet so..... Then after giving a request to remove avocado from one of our sushi rolls at the time of ordering, it came out incorrectly. When we mentioned this, he LITERALLY stomped his feet and pouted in anger like a toddler. Not sure why we received such dramatics. We never received drink refills after asking multiple times. We ordered off the menu and decided against the all you can eat (mainly because I do believe it to be overpriced compared to how much Ill actually eat especially for kids). When he came back to the table, he called us wimps for not ordering more. Honestly, we were too stunned by the utter rude behavior to even say anything other than simply asking for the check. Now we are a larger party with 3 adults and 4 kids (2 of which are babies), so we always anticipate being gratted (even though if you went by who ordered we would be a table of 5) but its fine. UNLESS you try to hide the fact that you did in fact put a gratuity on the tab, which this server did by marking it out on the check. Just ridiculous. Unfortunately for him, I very much know how to do math and he had added on a 20% tip onto the tab in our total. He also charged us for both sushi rolls, the one he messed up AND the corrected one, which when we pointed out, he did the same toddler stomp and pout. Overall, its sad when a grown man in a server acts worse than 2 babies at the table. Please rethink who you have on staff as it was so embarrassing to take my my sister and brother in law after bragging about this restaurant just to end up having a rude, temper infused server mess up our order, ignore us, and then when he did come around insult us, and try to sneak a 20% tip to be treated as such. No thanks. Kid-friendliness: Would love to see more of an actual kids menu, we always just end up ordering an appetizer for them.

Caleb was our server and did an amazing job! He recommended rolls and was very fast at putting in orders. Since we did the unlimited (recommended), he would always ask if we needed anything else or if we wanted to add orders. Very professional, very fast, and very efficient. The food was delicious, clean, and well prepared. We recommend hibachi steak and fried rice, green tea ice cream, tempura banana, and the snow crunchy roll (recommended by Caleb). Speed of the food to table was impressive!

I had gone before with my husband who is American, and the treatment was very different from this last time I went alone. They didnt mistreat me or anything but you can feel the difference in that they dont really like serving you (Mexican) Im still going to pay! But anyway, I ordered two rolls to go. Super cute and delicious, only the mango one, I dont know if they put the wrong sauce on top or thats what it is, because it didnt taste like mango, it tasted like honey mustard, that kind of flavor. The other roll that has the shrimp on the outside, spectacular, very delicious.

This was a really great sushi concept. $30 all you can eat, and the quality was spot on. The experience felt upscale, the food was fresh, the service was wonderful. I highly recommended this if you re hungry and aching for a good meal. Hibachi, sashimi, gyoza, so many rolls (vegetarian options available), green tea ice cream, and a chilled lychee sake to wash it all down. Their spread was vast, and the service was quick. Absolutely wonderful place to eat. Their wide variety of rolls are all delicious (I have tried majority of them) and the Hibachi options never disappoint. I am a big eater, so my best advice is to order everything you want for your main course at the same time as your appetizers. The appetizers will still come out ahead of the main food, and with less time in between. Ive gone here for several occasions now, and every time its just knocked it out of the park. The owner is also incredibly nice. A well deserved 5/5 Stars!

I love this place! So much that I have to prevent myself from eating here every time I go to Tyler. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious! I love that I can try multiple rolls due to the set all-you-can-eat price, allowing you the freedom to explore the menu. I havent disliked anything Ive gotten here! AYCE for $32, WOW! We ordered over $120 worth of food for only $80 (including tax and tip). All the rolls on the menu are full rolls (5-8 pieces each). They are delicious! The appetizers were smaller portions so you can order more things to try. You can order as much as you want each time your server comes to your table. Savannah was our server and she was wonderful. Went for the first time, and was truly disappointed by the rice to fish ratio of the sushi. Ive been to multiple ayce sushi restaurants so I understand having a bit more rice than usual, but the amount of rice served with the thin fish was absurd. The rice was almost 4x the amount of the size of the fish, which made the sushi unappetizing. The salmon tartar was good, and the chicken was juicy, fried rice was a bit bland. The miso and clear soup both tasted like water.

I did not eat sushi, I had the salmon hibachi. It was good. The server was real nice, pleasant, and attentive. I came here with two friends that both had the all you can eat sushi, and they loved it. One friend has even been to Japan, and he said the quality was comparable to some of the sushi he had in Japan. They had the tempura bananas for desert, and they both said they tasted like warm banana pudding. I had been to the previous restaurant that had been in that building for years, and I was shocked at the transformation the new owners did to the space. Its really impressive. Clean and nice atmosphere. You could come for lunch or take a date here, and youd be comfortable either way.

The food was super fresh and tasted amazing! Our waitress Savvy was on the ball and made sure we were tended to. The Pink Lady Roll and Webster Roll were wonderful and getting to finish with the best Tempura Banana was fantastic. I will definitely return and recommend!

This place offers great quality sushi & sashimi as well as Japanese food. They are locally owned as well and will help educate diners if needed. They always have fun and new things as well so the vive is always fresh just like the food. I lived in Japan for a year and have had Japanese food all over the country. This place is the best and such a great value. It has more for less than the all you can eat sushi place in Austin we used to go to when we lived there. Kid-friendliness: This place is so great for families. They even had an Easter Egg hunt on Easter.

Food was everything you would want from an AYCE sushi restaurant. Atmosphere was nice, dirty dishes were picked up promptly, and bathroom was clean. My problem was with my waitress. I was eating alone and the five top next to me were getting two rounds to my one. It took so long between rounds that I got fed up and wanted to leave but couldnt get her to come to my table so I had to go stand by the front door before she gave me my check. Probably wont be going back

I ve been here a few times now and I d say it s the best sushi place I ve been to! Savvy and Lauren were really great servers based on my experiences so far. Especially Savvy, she made sure everything was perfect for me. The owner is also really cool and hands on. He even gave me a deal on some shots.

Sushi was the best quality I ve had in recent years in this area. Our waitress Savvy has such an awesome personality and made our day incredible. Dietary restrictions: Chefs prepare on separate boards if you make your allergies known. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and no other customers were in there. There was a fishy smell. Restaurants sitting area looks overall clean. We were sat down and given the all you can eat menus and it felt that they were trying to push those menus on us. $31.95 per person is way too much. We had to ask to see if they had a menu with individual pricing, that was not offered. Waitress hovered the whole time. Overall, it was weird and uncomfortable. We left without ordering.

It was amazing! They bring anything you want on the all you can eat menu depending on if you are there for lunch or dinner, any rolls you want to your table as you eat, and you can order more than one at a time. I try something new each time I go, along with my favorites, its too notch food, and the people are wonderful. To make it a great experience. I havent found anything that I didnt like that I have ordered. I always order the amount I know I will eat so I dont order things I will waste, It was a great experience and great food. I always go between 11 and 3:30 for lunch because the price is about 10.00 less than the dinner price. Its amazing food.

Can you get great sushi so far inland?!? YES YOU CAN!!! Not only can you but this place takes pride in delivering on every aspect of the dining experience! I was traveling from Texas to Georgia and really wanted sushi at that moment. A quick Google search led me to this hidden gem in Tyler. I should have known from the first phone call that this place was going to be awesome! I spoke with a gentleman who was super enthused about their sushi offerings and told me that he looks forward to seeing me soon. And that alone let me know that this was going to be an amazing experience. That convo motivated me even more to make the 50 mi round trip detour to get to this restaurant. Once I got there the staff was on point and they seated me right away. It appeared to be a somewhat busy night but you couldnt tell because this service did not lack in any way. Once I was seated several people came over to me and offered suggestions on some of their best sellers and the sleepers also. I took their advice and went with everything that they suggested and was blown away by the quality and the freshness of the sushi. I was even served something off of the secret menu without even asking for it. I was so impressed by the teams enthusiasm for providing great service at every turn. Jimmy and Justin helped to make the dining experience well worth the detour I took to get there. And the prices were amazing as well! Best part about it is that they have big truck parking and a lot of it. A lot of times commercial vehicles have to skip certain restaurants because parking is pretty shady. Not here! I will definitely be back to explore the menu more real soon. Thanks for a great time guys! Parking: Big truck parking is available and encouraged!

Coming from hibachi in Dallas, this place is extraordinarily disappointing. The red snapper roll still had the skin on the roll, and the hibachi food itself was unfortunately bland. Seems like it wasn t even cooked with soy sauce. The yum yum sauce has been dubbed sad sad sauce. Couldn t even finish the meal. The side order of noodles came out before the soup or appetizer came out as well. Food doesn t deserve to be ruined like this.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE The family loves sushi and its all you can eat. We were in town for a day trip but turned into a weekend thing because our car broke down in Tyler. Theyre pretty new too and close to Louisiana which is where we were coming from. Now we dont have to drive all the way to Dallas, which is where we were actually headed for our day trip. Our server was Marry or Marin. Her accent was strong so I couldnt make out the end sound when she said it. She took great care of us and explained everything so we knew how to proceed. The atmosphere was great and everything reminded us of being in Japan. Our only problem was the manager. He checked on every table around us to see how they were doing like good managers do but skipped us. He either looked the other way when coming by or looked down. I mean he hit all the tables around us. You can take a wild guess as to why that happens Other than that, we enjoyed it Well make sure we get the same server too. She was nice Also, I recommend everything on the menu to see what you like best And dont order more than you can eat. Thats a bad thing and you will be charged Didnt happen to us but some folks eyes are bigger than their stomachs Parking: Just regular parking. Nothing fancy.

One of the best restaurants here in Tyler. Their sushi and other food is fresh and delicious. Ive been to many sushi AYCEs in Dallas, Houston and other big cities, and Ohayo is a cut above them all. The drinks are also top notch. Jimmy, the owner, is super nice, very hands on and goes out of his way to make customers happy. You will surely leave Ohayo with a big smile (and a big belly). First time visiting and definitely not the last! Absolutely amazing food. AYCE is a great option to try the great range of flavors available without blowing your dining budget. Plus the interior is nice enough for date nights or get-togethers but still casual for an everyday lunch when the sushi cravings hit. Do you like sushi or sashimi? This is the place you go. It an all you can eat restaurant and it is served at your table and made fresh no dried out stuff and it is great. A little pricey but wonderfully worth it. Lunch is $22+ TX per person. Dinner is $32+tx per person. It includes your beverage... NO alcohol though just a separate purchase... Soup, salad, entrée, sushi and sashimi rolls and your dessert. Not crazy about tempura cheesecake but l had the banana cheesecake and it was good. If want to warn you that if you get cold easily take a sweater. I was freezing it was so cold which made my experience for the atmosphere uncomfortable. We had so many choices to choose from we decided we let the waitress bring us her recommendations... Was very glad... She did a great job. There was two people in my party and lets just say he was not a fan of this type of cuisine but this restaurant has changed his mind. Go splurge a little and try it... Well worth it. Vegetarian options: Ask before you order! Dietary restrictions: No spicy or lightly spicy. Wheelchair accessibility: Would be easy to maneuver.

This is just OUR experience last night; First, Ill say the food was delicious, the portions are just insanely small for the prices. We ordered the combination Hibachi to share for dinner (my son & I) & when we got it, it was nothing like the size of the picture on their menu -- it was significantly smaller. We also ordered two sushi rolls, one of which was the Fried Oyster roll. When I requested it, the waitress told me to choose something else b/c that roll would take a long time. A bit confused, I asked if they would make it at all, is that what she meant? She said they would make it, but I should order something else too b/c it takes a long time. Thats when we ordered the combination Hibachi. When I asked for this, she handed me her ipad & told me to put it in!! I was SO shocked like um, maam, I dont know how to input orders on your tablet??? I politely declined & told her, Im not sure how to do that. She leaves & comes back & said someone told her to pick any one of the hibachi choices. I showed her the menu picture of the Hibachi with shrimp, chicken & steak - we wanted that one; she said ok. When we got our ticket, it was $80 flat & she charged us for two, All You Can Eat Sushi items. A quick note - their menu does not list prices so I had no idea what we shouldve been charged. She could tell that I was confused looking at my ticket so she comes back over, puts her leg on the side of the booth, leans onto me, hands me the tablet & asks me to help her find the items we ordered so she can give me an itemized ticket. Um...WHAT? I tried to help her, she ultimately found the different items but this was SO AWKWARD & made us extremely uncomfortable. Turns out, yes, we were overcharged. Btw, my son pointed out that she was all up on me more than once but she didnt behave this way with any of the other tables. Im not sure what the deal is/was & while the food was delicious, I dont think well be going back here. If I may advise anything to other consumers, I would maybe ask for food pricing and/or just really pay attention to your ticket. I understand servers helping customers out by consolidating items but this was just odd/weird to say the LEAST.
