Summary: A bit overpriced, but decent enough, hotel connected restaurant with acceptable food and drink options. Nothing about the dine-in experience was exceptionally noteworthy for us given the cost, not a place we will likely return to as a local with so many other comparable priced establishments within walking distance. We had reservations for an early dinner (5:15) and found it was right when they were opening (we guess) so there was no staff to greet us at the door (though they were open). We were sat in the back of the restaurant at a 2 person corner table which was disappointing given so many window tables were open, even our waiter commented on them placing us there. The food was OK, we ordered the Nonnas meatballs as an appetizer and they were good but the Exxon Valdez must have run aground in the dish as the quantity of oil was extreme (we couldnt finish the polenta because of the oil, our waiter agreed). We ordered the Chicken Parmesan Involtini and Fettuccine Alfredo w/ chicken, the Involtini was way over breaded (nearly 1/4 thicken breading) and the Alfredo was soupy, neither dish was terrible but they were just not worth the cost. Drinks were good as was the Tiramisú, these were the highlights of the evening as the rest of it felt a bit flat. Our final disappointment came when they did not validate for the parking garage across the street. It is the garage used by the hotel and compared to say Mortons or Tris they are the outlier not validating for a garage. Parking: Parking is available in the garage connected across the Westin (guest parking for that hotel). Despite this restaurant being connected to the Westin they do not validate for the garage....

Here on business and stopped in for breakfast, excellent service and the place was very clean and pleasant. My server was excellent, she was professional and knowledgeable and very accommodating, the menu had lots of choices for all food type including vegan and gluten free. I had a coffee and orange juice with the eggs Benedict and applewood smoked bacon, and I must say that it was delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly and the rosemary ham with the hollandaise sauce and the roasted potatoes was perfect. Loved everything about it and definitely would recommend if you want a nice dining experience for breakfast and if you re just looking to relax before getting your day started. Service and everything was excellent.

Just ate there tonight. Beautiful location and atmosphere. I ordered the 30 layered Lasagna. It was the flattest lasagna ever and the noodles were burnt. The burnt taste permeated through the dish. The waitress seemed unconcerned that I left a plate full of lasagna and did not ask for a togo box. I would have preferred the Olive Garden!

I did a lot of research before going today for Sunday breakfast. There were many glowing reviews. I was disappointed to see fairly standard buffet fair, not much different from a. courtyard by Marriott. Food was relatively bland, including the scrambled eggs in a steamer container. The avocado toast had a nice topping, but the bread was tough and reeked of garlic.

We are locals and had a celebratory dinner at Sorriso s last night. We dined at 5pm with a party of 6. Our son (6 yrs.) told the pizza chef, Ramiro, he makes the best pizza ever! Being a retired chef myself I can attest to the quality of pizza and the rest of the meal- perfectly al dente pasta, seafood, tender short rib and fantastic desserts. Service was impeccable as well and the host was accommodating and friendly. This was our 1st time dining here and we will be back. Our compliments to the Managment and staff.

When my boyfriend had asked a clarifying question the young woman looked incredibly annoyed and acted as if we should already know the answer. As if its not our first time dining here. Im not the type who needs a super bubbly friendly server but this woman frowned the entire service. Made the experience SO uncomfortable. Restaurant smelled like perfume all over, ingredients smelled and looked like they were sitting around in a fridge together for days and that they were poor quality to begin with, menu and presentations were unauthentic, and prices were insane. The cocktail was bizzare and hard to drink due to a large twig going up my nose with each sip. The waitress was nice and quick, though I would still rather skip dinner all together than return to this restaurant.

Honestly, its not worth it. Food is ok, portions are small for the small overpriced menu they have. The service was really bad for a place that was hardly packed. Waited like 40 min for our food, and our sodas were all flat. The worst part is that we had a birthday dinner for my fiance, and the head server told me that the cake we had BRING will cost an extra 3 dollars per person if we decide to serve the cake. Like seriously? I wouldnt recommend coming here. your money is better spent at olive garden than this place. The view is the only thing this place has. Did i mention to get our drinks we physically had to stop a server to take our order and that happen after we got served our 40 min food. They have a 1 ticket policy, so if youre going in groups, i guess its so hard for them to split a ticket. Better zelle the person who is paying.

We had such high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was not a pleasant one. The server did not state there would be a surcharge for adding chicken to Fettuccine Alfredo. The menu did not disclose the additional fee anywhere. My daughter ordered the pasta only, and Nector asked if she wanted chicken or shrimp. He never stated there would be an upcharge or that adding chicken would cost an additional $10 to the already $18 fettuccine Alfredo fee. The most expensive pasta dish is $26, which includes shrimp, octopus, clams, etc. My daughter was charged $28 for Fettuccine Alfredo with a small chicken breast. This is outrageously expensive, in my opinion, for the quality of food she received. The restaurant also added a mandatory tip charge to her and her friends receipts (a party of 5). This is unacceptable. There should only be a guaranteed tip added to parties of 6 or more, NOT 5!! Her bill total was $35.35 for a glass of tap water and chicken Alfredo. The food was ok, but absolutely not worth $35.35!! I contacted management of this establishment to discuss the inaccuracies and was completely disappointed in their response to my concerns. There definitely needs to be more adequate training of their staff members. There are far more delicious and well run eateries in The Woodlands, Texas, then to dine at Sorriso in the future. What was supposed to be a night filled with joy and celebration turned out to be a negative experience due to the dishonet practices of the Sorriso staff. I gave ample time for Sorriso general manager to respond to my concerns, but I felt completely disappointed in his response after over a week of waiting for a follow-up conversation. The management knew I was going to write a review detailing this ordeal and didnt seem to care. I want to warn other diners of their practices of charging additional up-charged fees without consent or approval to prevent future issues. The date of the visit was Saturday, September 30, 2023.

My husband and I love eating here! The service is great, the atmosphere lovely, and the food fantastic! For appetizers, I highly recommend the olives. My husband loves olives, and I have never been very fond of them, but they are so good that we both cant help but enjoy them. Then theres the burrata and peaches appetizer - absolutely phenomenal! Just wow! My husband says their filet is excellent, and always orders asparagus on the side. For me, once I ordered the pan roasted salmon, I just couldnt bring myself to order anything else. Its a beautiful mix of flavors that works incredibly well together! If you find yourself in the area, definitely stop by, and if you happen to be there on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, pop upstairs and enjoy the live music while youre there as well! Edited to add: Ami made us feel so welcome! She was so pleasant and she assured us that we would find our server Quen an exceptional server who would take excellent care of us. We absolutely were taken care of, and she was great! I love being places where the environment fostered is one of building each other up. My girlfriends and I had dinner at Sorrisos on a Saturday night. It was definitely not how I expected the service to be at all. I gave 2 stars to service because it was just sub-par from what we all expected it to be. Either it was just super busy or short staffed with table attendants because every experience with a waiter felted rushed and not really attentive with our party. We definitely did not have complicated orders at all, just one drink and dinner dish each in a party of 6 ladies. All of us did agree that all our dishes was very delicious and one of the dishes was warm vs being hot, just prepared. No one asked if we wanted drinks, seeing our empty glasses or how our dinner was...hhhmmm. Recommend to go option vs eating in. Vegetarian options: Not too many vegetarian options.

An amazing experience, the food, service, and ambiance was fenomenal. We dine at Sorriso, a beautiful modern Italian restaurant inside the Westin Woodlands hotel. The menu has choices for all budgets, but the quality of every dish was superb. The presentation of the food immaculate, taking into consideration every detail in the dish, and the taste was so armonic, balancing the flavors with so much detail that when you take a bite every sense in your mouth explodes. Make sure you order the Prosciutto wrap branzino, a dish with a fabulous combination of crispy on the outside and buttery flavor of the white fish in the inside cooked to perfection, the Black Seafood Pasta is out if this world, handmade pasta al dente with the perfect amount of spiciness, and the appetizers, dont miss the Beet Salad, one of the bests. Dessert OMG, their unique twist to the Tiramisu, was such a surprise, with a hard, thin chocolate outside layer, and the mix of coffee flavors in the inside without being overly sweet! Definitely, I will consider this super FINE AND GOURMET dining! .... So I returned for the breakfast buffet this morning, and I was double amazed with the buffet style of choices that included everything breakfast you might want, adding my favorite in the world, Avocado Toast!! but this one had a spread of TRUFFLES and olive tapanade with the most delicious pickled red onions as garnish. Definitely, the chef is a genius combining flavors and delivering to the guests a great experience in this beautiful restaurant!!!

We walked around back and saw the doors to the waterway room were wide open. Not sure why they lied to us felt like we were being discriminated against. I will not be returning and I Do not recommend.

Almost 3 years into moving to TX from NYC. Of all the restaurants Ive been to that have claimed nyc style or taste of pizza, this is the only one to actually have it. From the phenomenal service and personable atmosphere to the amazing food and clear effort made to please your taste buds. After talking to the staff and meeting the face behind some of the best pizza in TX, I can honestly say that eating here has been the blessing I never knew I needed.

I taught my 15 year old son the difference between good service and bad. It was his and his girlfriends 1 year anniversary, and I made a reservation for the two of them and we sat on the other side of the restaurant and had dinner as well.. our service and food were good. At the end of dinner, I asked our server to ask my sons server if he tipped accordingly. She came back and told me that my son tipped $5 on a $50 bill. I pulled my son to the side and asked him why he only tipped 10%. He stated that the waiter was short with him, and my son used the word non-shulaunt... and he had to ask for a drink refill 3 times... he said to me.. I remember what you taught.. I was surprised at this but he said it before I did... ***** as for the hostess.. she was the absolute best hostess I have ever come across.*** Parking: Half a block away

Walked in to have a drink and the bartender rudely said this is last call twice. Ok I understand last call I m getting it to go because I m staying at what you call a high end hotel. The kicker was some people walked in right behind me and he was really polite told them to have a seat and he d be with them shortly. Was it all because of them being in suits. To bad this bartender didn t realize my wife s attire and my jeans don t mean we have no money and don t fit in!!!

The epitome of over priced-corporate dining. Service was great, but I ve had better pizza from Domino s Pizza. $87 for a pizza and a glass of wine in Houston, Texas. Never thought I d see that day, unfortunately that was the case. If you want quality Italian, this isn t the place. The owners should focus on quality ingredients, like Papa John s, maybe their pizza could surpass Domino s!

Great food, friendly service (HUGE thank you Mary Beth and Andrew for making a weary traveler feel at home.) Good wine list at amazing prices. Hotel restaurants are...well....hotel restaurants. Sorriso is different. Mary Beth could tell I was tired. She greeted me, very kind words. Treated myself to a nice bottle of wine and Andrew knew just how to server properly. The food was amazing. There are other restaurants in walking distance - try Sorriso first - just a glass of wine and an appetizer...guaranteed you will stay!.

The Woodlands has many restaurants that give you the look, however, I have often left restaurants feeling like the quality was not there for the high price point. Remembering my wonderful experience several months back, I chose Sorriso for my Fathers birthday dinner. While this is a hotel restaurant (attached to The Westin), the service I received and the quality of the dishes ordered made me feel as if we were in a stand-alone authentic Italian restaurant. On my most recent visit with Sorriso, I am sad to say this time missed the mark. The food was tasty, the presentation was lovely, and my reservation experience, which started a week prior, went well. The hostess and managers were very accommodating with the needs of my party and the adjustments up to our actual dinner time. The service of our server is where things fell short. At first, I thought maybe he was just not a people person; however, I paid close attention to his interactions with the guest at other tables in his section, and he was pretty jovial with them all. I know I can be a stern critic, so when Im out with friends and family, I make an effort to overlook certain things as an industry professional I would otherwise make a note of. Still, when the mood change is so noticeable that the guest of honor mentions it, theres a problem. Of course, I dont know how the ticket read. Some things could have been the fault of the kitchen and not the server. Nonetheless, our apps came out incorrectly. When I mentioned this to the server, he apologized only after saying, Oh, you want that instead. Ill get that put in for you, as if I was the one to make a mistake. When our entrees arrived, modifications were missed entirely. One of my guests chose to eat around the dish, as he mentioned, the server didnt seem too thrilled to be waiting on our table. Im not sure if he was overwhelmed or what, but he did have two large groups at one time (our party of 8 and a party of 7). However, his performance came across as unrefined and incompetent. This experience, as mentioned, was a vast difference from the dining experience I enjoyed months past. I hope this review will be used as a resource for training and housekeeping on service standards for the team. I enjoy the food at Sorriso and absolutely plan to return in the near future!

I was really looking forward to trying this place.. The menu didnt have much of a selection. I went with the lasagna & felt like I was eating a blob of cheese and it was severed in a tray which felt like it was heated in a microwave served... The wine selection was also overpriced. And my boyfriend had the porkchop & said it was tough.. it was a bummer experience for our Valentines date.

A bad experience. I ate here for dinner on Christmas day and it really was a disappointment. Our waitress was very friendly, but it was noticeable that she was overstretched being the only waitress for at least half the restaurant. They didnt even bring our drinks to our table, we had to walk for them to the bar area (terrible attitude from the bartender). One of the cocktails didnt even have alcohol in it, although luckily the floor manager sorted it out quickly. The food service was quick, but the quality of the pizza was not what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. I will not go back, and personally, I will never recommend it (there are so many restaurants in the area with better food and service). - Overpriced cocktails - No parking option ... I ate here on Christmas for dinner. Margherita pizza was great, our server was great but seemed a little stressed from understaffing. Bartender was beyond rude and not very good at his job. After waiting 20 minutes for a Modelo, I went up to the bar and ponytail man waved me off and half yelled patience, patience. I understand staffing challenges are real in this industry, but your bartender drives away business, Ill never come back.

We really wanted to love this place. There is great variety of pasta and is cooked properly, just al dente enough. The sauces arent overly too salty but bordering. The portions are perfect for folks who order apps and salads and desserts. But our table of 6 at a 5pm sitting was served food that had been sitting just a moment too long. You know when you can tell that the sauce is starting to congeal and cool? Our food was lukewarm at best. It would have been delicious if it had been fresh. The kitchen needs better timing. The olive oil & vinegar dip needs less vinegar and guests should be allowed to pour what they want. All the servers were wonderful and very helpful. The restaurant is overall modern and cozy. Our half booth table was strangely uncomfortable as the table was so much higher than the seats. I felt as if I was eating at my throat level. The whole experience left us wishing we had gone to Crust Pizza for similar food but better, and doesnt ever leave our stomachs a little sick the next day.

Had a great dining experience at Sorriso recently. It was a busy Friday night, which thankfully I had made reservations. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated but the hostess kept us updated and was very cheerful and nice. It was quite loud but I guess that s the nature of restaurants. Our server, Mary Beth Chambers did a top-notch job, making sure that we had everything we needed and that were were enjoying ourselves. We ordered the Tuscan kale salad, short-rib gnocchi and the lobster pappadelle pasta with a glass of the Alexana Pinot Noir. We were not disappointed! We finished it off with the gelato dessert - pistachio, vanilla, and chocolate. This is one of the best experiences I have had while dining at Sorriso thanks to Mary Beth!
