My husband & I had a wonderful stay at your hotel. I have to be fair & say we were a little surprised that we had to put a $50 deposit down. Never stayed at a hotel that had that requirement. That may be a turn off if you publish my statement. Rooms: Clean & seemed to have all maintenance requirements seen to ahead of time. Nearby activities: Probably were but we were focused on the convention that we were about to attend. Safety: Good! Walkability: Good! Food and drinks: Vending machines & a restaurant in the hotel.

This place does the job if you need a budget-friendly place to just sleep at. Don t expect too much. Our first room had stained sheets, a very springy and uncomfortable mattress, flat pillows, and a jacked up AC unit that randomly sounded like it was exploding and woke us up at 2am. Staff was nice enough to let us switch rooms, which did help. However, there s a humid, heavy feeling in both the rooms we stayed at. We could also hear the LOUD stomping and running of upstairs tenants, so noise insulation is lacking. Rooms have good amount of space which was a plus. From my experience, I recommend the room with 2 queen beds vs 1 king, as the beds were better.

I am writing this review to call out the service provided by the general manager Jay. During Hurricane Beryl I was not able to travel to Dallas airport due to airport closures. Jay honored my request for a refund of the one night I couldn t make it and showed understanding to my situation. I really appreciated it and will continue to book this hotel in the future. I also want to bring attention to the young lady, Kit at the front desk during the evening shifts. She always provides great service, is very polite and greets me with a warm welcome!

Do NOT stay here. First thing I noticed was you had to pay $13 for breakfast. Second was we had to move rooms due to mold in the air conditioner unit (I ll post the photo). Third there was a hole in the bathing towel. Fourth I had forgotten toothpaste so I thought like most hotels they d have the complementary ones WRONG I would have to purchase one .

Stayed one night at the Clarion Hotel with my family and had a good experience. Emily at the front desk was welcoming and attentive to our needs. The hotel was very clean, and our room was spacious with exceptionally comfortable beds. The mini fridge and microwave were convenient additions. While the bathroom was a bit small and the toiletries, especially the soap, left my skin feeling dry, these were minor issues. The hotels location is excellent, directly across from a water park and close to shops and the highway. However, the wifi connection was poor, and since I booked through a third party, I couldn t extend my stay without incurring an additional $50 incidental fee. This was inconvenient, particularly if you re using a debit card, as the refund process can take 3 to 5 business days. Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend the hotel overall.

Used priceline for reservation which was a good price. Unfortunately we did not see the deposit information for room or pet. The 75 non refundable for small dog seems EXCESSIVE. This is not a swanky, posh hotel. This is a nice, comfortable door open to corridor place. The rooms are clean, large and so far without issue. The place is quiet and well lit. I can see our vehicle from our window which is also nice. We did feel odd because one car kept driving by my friend while she was alone at her vehicle. And I mean like 5 times. Hoping that was random. The pool looks amazing. Find out tomorrow. All in all I see it as a good choice.

Very clean. Probably the cleanest hotel Ive ever been to. Comfortable beds. Perfect room temperatures. All around a great experience here. BUT THEY CHARGE $12 FOR BREAKFAST?????????? Ive never been to a hotel that charges for breakfast so thats super odd to me, but besides that great time here.

Came here for a last minute stay. Hotel was liminal which I loved, I think it s an old holiday inn. However the girl at the front wasn t the friendliest and did not make us feel as welcomed. We had issues with towels, and received the wrong type, even though we asked specifically for hand towels, and body towels more than once. Over all, the room was decent and clean. As well as the bathroom. I was happy over all with the stay.

Nice staff and nice hotel. I was checked in by Jay. Very polite and respectful. He was able to accommodate my request for a quiet room and provided a room change when the initial room was on a hallway with a screaming toddler. The second room smelled of smoke. I blew the a/c at 60 and high fan to get the odor out. I believe that even though it states nonsmoking, it appears some guests do smoke in the rooms. The room was quiet and cold, and I was able to sleep soundly. I did not want to leave. The a/c worked great, and the rooms were clean. It appeared to be quite a few fast food and restaurants around. I recommend and would return if needed.

Overall positive experience. Great price and great view. Good location for us visiting friends in the Colony. About 30 min from Arlington. My child loved the free YouTube. Good breakfast for reasonable extra charge. We were there during a big storm, high winds and hail, and power was knocked out from 6-9am. Only negative was the shower towel was not thoroughly washed. But housekeeping magically appeared as I was about to take it downstairs and replaced it with a clean one. Recommended.

Check in girl was not pleasant, seems like hospitality is not for her (check out attendant was super pleasant!) Our room smelled like dog so bad it gave me a headache. We decided to sit out by the fountain to see if my headache would go away only to find the fireplace and fountain off. Not to mention all the ripped patio furniture and lights bulbs that were out. STAY AWAY! Their website makes it seem like there is free breakfast but they charge, if charging wasn t enough, it was horrible, not worth it even at free let alone paying for it! Last but not least I was never able to sign in the the wifi, said my name was not in their system

ONE OF THE BEST HOTEL STAYS ! My husband and i traveled from oklahoma for a small 4 day getaway the hotel staff where awesome the rooms where so clean bed was comfortable the ac worked tv was decent breakfast was a little on the price side but good we made it back home to only noticed i forgot my purse(totally my fault) i called and she was right on looking for my bag thankfully noone had been in our room and it was where i left it they went above and beyond to locate my bag and shipped it out to me so i did not have to drive all the way back only request was i paid for shipping which of course was absolutely no problem i highly recommend it was super quite everyone was so friendly ! Staff/visitors we will definitely be back the wifi was a little wonky and did not work the best and service (att) was not all the best in that location but it gave us time away from our phones!is how i looked at it ! Overall, excellent hotel. The bed and rooms were super new, nice and comfortable. The thermostat actually worked and the temp was perfect. Great shower (bring your own shampoo/conditioner/soap). Decent tv but could only log on to one of our streaming services and watching it was a pain as the programs skipped the whole time. I dont understand why. Easy parking the whole week, except for the weekend, when it was packed. All but one of the staff was super polite, above and beyond helpful, professional. Only one seemed like he hated me or his job or maybe he was just bored to death??? I previously reviewed the hotel and commented on the security guy drinking on the job. I later found out he did NOT work for the hotel, but rather a nearby shopping area and was just relaxing at the hotel bar. So, I stand corrected on that. Nice gym and pool. There is laundry. The whole property was one of the cleanest and best kept hotels I have stayed. I have two complaints: no complimentary breakfast/coffee ($13 per person paid breakfast I will never be partaking in). I had to get in the car and drive 10 minutes to Starbucks as they dont have free coffee available ever and the cheap k-pods suck. I had to drive at least 10-15 minutes to get every meal, every day for 6 days as nothing was walking distance. Two, they said the bar was open every day until 1000pm, it was not. The bartender was never at the bar, if she was there at all and she definitely wasnt there some days. This may all seem trivial to most, but I live in hotels for my job. I spend 200-250 nights a year, every year in hotels after driving state-to-state all day, every day. My body hurts, I dont get much sleep and I need as much rest as I can get. If you want me to leave a 5-star review, I need free coffee in the lobby all day, and a functioning restaurant, or at least bar on-site. I cant fault this hotel for not having an evening restaurant. But they were supposed to have a bar and its tender was not present. I know this hotel has just re-opened under new ownership or management. They are doing a great job and I do recommend this hotel. I would simply offer the management these advice/recommendations: (1) mount shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers on the shower walls and keep them filled; (2) train your bartender and have her stay at the bar and dont lie to me about having an open bar; (3) have some kind of restaurant functioning on site. It can just serve soup and salad and sandwiches or even function as a taqueria; (4) charge well less for breakfast or even better, just set out some fruit, yogurt, bagels and cream cheese or frozen breakfast sammies. Or have those alone available to purchase cheaply. I dont want to have to leave my hotel room at all when I am staying at a hotel. Im too darn tired in every way. I shouldnt have to leave the hotel to get basic things. You should be able to provide creamer cups instead of dry packets at a hotel of this level. Its not a Motel 6. But great job overall.

Ive stayed at this hotel twice and had great experiences both times. The staff, especially a particular individual (you know who you are; much appreciated), is exceptionally friendly. The property and rooms are consistently clean, room service is efficient, and the breakfast is quite satisfactory. I would certainly choose to stay at this hotel again.

The service at the front desk was great, she was as helpful/friendly as she could given the situation. My low star review came from the fact that the wifi wasnt working during my stay, but they only told me as I was checking in with no prior communication and they had no idea when it would get fixed. On top of that, their card machine wasnt working properly, so my card wouldnt let me into my room. They tried changing my room to see if that would fix it, but in the end, the front desk had to escort me to my room every time I left. This happened to other people who were staying at the same time too. Im not really sure why I had to pay the usual price for a stay without the usual amenities, and I find the place unreliable. I wouldnt come here again, there are plenty of other hotels in the area. My impression of the hotels management is that theyre pretty unprofessional. Their direct response to my feedback has shown me that theyre less concerned with properly addressing feedback and customer service.

The woman at the front desk was great. The location is nice. As far as the room, this is the hardest mattress Ive ever slept on at a hotel. A mattress topper or some extra cushion would be nice. Also, Ive also saw quite a few ants crawling around in the bathroom. Not sure where theyre coming from. The uncomfortable bed and bugs are a deal breaker for me so I wouldnt stay here again

If I could give this location negative stars I would, I wouldn t even start by giving them one star. I want to start by saying that this is the most unprofessional location ran and managed by the general manager Mark Martinez. I have been reaching out to IHG regarding the manner I had with my experience and I have yet to be contacted back I have their general manager Mark Martinez raise his voice at me over a late check out dispute. Also charged my card $195 and trespassed me so I couldn t complete my stay. Created a false police report and told the 2 officers I had to pay half a night before I could get my dog from the room or he would call aspca and report him as abandoned.

I stayed here for four nights and it was wonderful! The rooms were clean and looked very nice. Everything worked as it should. It even had a keurig which made me very happy. It was mostly quiet at night, the beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows! The people working there were all so kind and helpful, especially the front desk and housekeeping. The location is close to everything you could need and quite a few places to go for fun! I couldnt have asked for a better experience! Safety: Staying there as a single woman, I never felt unsafe.

Love LOVE staying at this location. Rooms always clean and comfortable. Nice pool and never busy. Staff is friendly, listens and even offers food suggestions. Great central location to plenty of things to do. Only hiccup was the evening front desk attendant (checked in around 9pm) did not put my late check out on my acct. So with a check out time of 12pm at 1130am house keeping was already trying to enter. They sent the day manager up at 1211pm when I was trying to get out of the room. But Ill definitely stay again!

Hello I am very disappointed with the assistant general manager , cody arn and his lack of understanding and arrogant, matter of fact tone and attitude toward me. I have been receiving DoorDash delivery everyday since our check in July 27th until today. Today cody arn decided to stop the deliveries. I tried to explain but in a condescending tone, he continued to repeat over and over, due to security reasons, no. I tried to explain, that in March after I made the reservations, I called the Austin Holiday Inn front desk and spoke to a manager. I asked about DoorDash delivery because we were handicap. They said ok. We (my husband and I) only brought are daughter down for a convention and we were going to stay inside; too hot for old people outside and enjoy the room. We got here to Austin talked to the clerk about receiving DoorDash delivery. They said because we gave permission to receive DoorDash delivery to our room, it was ok. We received our deliveries every day since Thursday until this morning, when cody arn refused. Basically, this makes me believe that only cody arn knows the truth and the running of the hotel and everyone else LIED to me. He did say he was going to tend to them, I guess because they were allowed to answer the phone and talked to me and in person they gave me wrong information. Only cody arn knows the truth of the hotel. I dont understand why one person out of many people in this hotel could do this, and change the wonderful hospitality, that was told and provided to us, at the last minute. I really expected better from a 4.1 star hotel. I got better service and hospitality from the Oklahoma City Comforts Inn and Suites (3.8 star hotel) that I stayed in Wednesday July 26th. Im not writing this to get anything but what I was told. And that was to receive DoorDash delivery during my stay til Monday July 31st when I check out. Me and my fiancé we go here every weekend and he goes because of me because I like the location and the hotel but this day there is two associates one was on a regular associate. The other one was a manager we were asking for more wash clause they both gave us attitude, and only walked out with one washcloth to give us and I was like we need more than is the manager even threaten to kick us out we are regular we are always there every week those two ladies were very unprofessional very rude and I needed to say some thing. Like I said, we go there every weekend. Quinn, who is usually helping us is the best best professional associate they have their he even knows of my name he always accommodate us. This is my favorite hotel to stay at in the DFW area, very centrally located, nice rooms, great value, nice pool, and the biggest one of all amazing staff! (Quinn to be specific as well as others I ve encountered) I ve stayed here a couple times and he s always been extremely accommodating and helpful. Ray the bartender is absolutely amazing!! His services and customer service was excellent! Hands down the best drinks in the colony! He made me a Mexican candy and they had 2 different flavor of chamoy watermelon and mango he also dressed it w/ tajun! Definitely coming back! Prices are very reasonable as well! Not over charged like most places. Loved that they hired a wonderful attractive employee!

Room was clean and comfortable, but what really knocked my stay out of the park was the staff on site. Everyone was helpful and friendly, but the front desk employees (specifically Quinn, but the others did as well) went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. As a seasoned travel blogger & Verified Google Guide I advise anyone to ABSOLUTELY AVOID this place at all cost. I was a witness to them throwing a customer out for just asking a simple question. The GM Mark Martinez is a hot head who turned a customer s simple question into calling and then lying to the police to throw someone out who had been staying there over 30 days and had spent over $10,000 with the hotel. The treatment of the innocent customer was appalling and unacceptable!

Had a horrible night - Priceline booked me at another hotel that looked like a murder scene took place at some point. Checked out, booked room at Holiday Inn Plano. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Plano - The Colony and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations. The staff were simply awesome - friendly, helpful, and always available to answer any questions I had. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of. One of the highlights of my experience was the open bar. The bartenders were skilled at mixing up tasty cocktails and the selection of drinks was fantastic. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, chatting with other guests and soaking up the lively atmosphere. But what really set the Holiday Inn Plano - The Colony apart was the entertainment area. The pool area and open spaces provided plenty of options to keep me entertained, and I loved the indoors community areas Overall, I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Plano - The Colony to anyone looking for a fun and memorable stay. The staff are outstanding, the open bar is a great perk, and the entertainment area is a blast. I cant wait to visit again!

There is a gentleman named Quinn that makes our stays very enjoyable. The bar can be a little less tolerable on some nights because of the crowd, but the service keeps me coming back weekly and bi-weekly. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy.

So so .check in was ok I was given one room, per my request of the 4th floor, hauled all my bags up only to find housekeeping was still in progress! Mgr on duty was very nice and of course moved me to the 3rd floor:( The next day, unaware of bar hours of operation, the actual bartender Abriella stated bar closed at 10:30 but now at 10:31 could no longer serve me anything because she had already started cleaning:( Since this was a business stay and I work with customers everyday I found this very disappointing therefore it s a one and done for me, no thank you Holiday Inn. This use to be one of my top picks but think I ll be back at Marriott for my next stay JS FYI **** No dinner, kitchen is closed, and breakfast (same as holiday express) is $12.99

Please be careful getting a hotel here. The room smelled bad, my clothes got the bad smell from hotel room. There was hair all over the sofas, if you want to be a pet friendly hotel please by all means hire more cleaning staff. I am only giving two stars because the front desk were nice and breakfast was okay. The people that give reviews probably get the best rooms and that only thing I dont like about hotels they are selective which room each individual stays and know this because friends have told me who work in the hotel industry. Please please dont be like that.

Please let me throw a couple of disclaimers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would also like to state the fact I love Holiday Inns and frequent them on all my business and personal trips. However...I would never stay at this one again. I cant remember the last time I wasnt able to get a complimentary coffee during the morning hour at a hotel. They really wanted to charge me $2.50 for the same size cup that was in my room!! There was only one functioning elevator most of the time which makes a 4th floor room a pain. Only 2 of the 3 treadmills were in working condition. The corners of the floor and wall paper were disgusting throughout the hotel. Its not hard to clean your hotel! I was supposed to get complimentary points for housekeeping not cleaning or bringing clean towels. That didnt happen. The shower was disgusting. The floor was not angled to allow the water to drain which meant we had standing water for 3 days in the shower. I could come up with a few more but I think I made my point. I dont know if the Holiday Inn Express next door is the same owners...but I would venture there before here. Again....I stay exclusively at Holiday Inns. I am diamond platinum or whatever they name it....I will continue to stay at Holiday Inns...just never at this one. I have never given a review for a hotel but this was bad enough they deserved this one!

Since I booked through a 3rd party HI would not accept my Honors membership nor did they include complimentary breakfast which I think is extremely petty for such a large organization. The add stated they are pet friendly but the reception lady chased me to the elevator saying I had to pay a $75 non refundable deposit for my non-shredding extremely calm 40 lb dog. I m sure they will not care to lose me as an Honor (and Veteran) member. Do better H.I.!!!

The locations is great and clean! Bed is great and comfortable. Only bad things is we booked it instead of another location for the free breakfast they advertise, but then when you do down to eat breakfast they tell you that you have to pay a separate fee or pay per breakfast item. The price is very close to other locations that offer free coffee and breakfast. The staff doesn t do much to check and see if it s included in your reservation either. A little too tied up with flirting with males than helping guest.

Awesome location. Really close to plenty of good restaurants and Top Golf. Would have been 5 stars but the air conditioner in the room would not keep the room cool enough. Did not get a good nights sleep due to it being so hot in the room. The hallways were cool and the whole hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly. I stayed at this location for three days while on a business trip. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Check in was a breeze. The staff was super friendly and courteous. My room was very clean. There is a microwave,mini refrigerator and coffee maker in every room. The bathroom was very clean and stocked nicely with soaps and lotion. They have all of the amenities that you need downstairs, there are two refrigerators full of snacks and drinks. Plenty of lounge seating and a really nice bar area that serves wine and beer and drinks. The outside patio is really nice with plenty of seating as well. The pool is very nice too. We had the conference room booked for two days with breakfast both days and the breakfast was very good as well. There are plenty of shops and dining options very close to this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to Texas. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Room was good but my vehicle had exhaust stolen off it in the middle of night. Did police report and see this hotel has no cameras to both help or deter. I guess even from staff sorry you got mugged on your shift but we have a sign up. Stay here at your own risk, this place does not have any deterrents and thieves probably know it.

She was the sweetest, most professional person i think I ve ever met. People were happy to see her when they came in from from going out. I have a membership to a high class hotel. I logged in to my IHG rewards to book a room using my points. It stated that this location was available, but when I said book, I got a failure. I then called the hotel to discuss if this was an error and #1, the girl that answered the phone very quickly answered beautiful day at the Holiday Inn, please hold and I find this frustrating as a consumer as I really had no choice. #2 I took a deep breath and realized that they could be busy and I would let this go, so I waited patiently for her to come back and she did so in a timely manner, but she wanted nothing to do with talking to me and rushed me off the phone. Basically hung up on me. At least it was confirmed they were booked i guess, but having some empathy or offering another IHG hotel maybe nearby would have been helpful, but instead portraying the idea that she is too busy to provide good customer service is simply disappointing.

My sister, mom and I came to town for a medical consult and surgery for my mom. My mom had to sleep by herself and thought the room would come with the option of a cot. I was told on check in that cots were only available for king rooms. Quinn at the front desk told me that he would look in all floors to see if he could get a cot so we could all be comfortable in the room. A few minutes later he knocked on the door to deliver the cot. Thank you Quinn for going above and beyond making this stay more comfortable! I have enjoyed staying here when in town. This last time, our flight kept being delayed and the overnight gentleman ensured we would have our room, and he would make sure we got checked in .
