This was my first time here and my first time to zipline & it was an amazing experience here at the Go Ape Zipline!!! I was very afraid because Im afraid of heights, but some of the staff members coached & encouraged me when I was feeling afraid to step off the ledge. They were all super nice; it was a great experience while here visiting from Alabama!!!

UPDATE 5/16/2024: Thank you, Go Apes. Your Site or Group Manager took charge (or was enabled to) and has handled the situation amicably. Let s hope the lines of communication within the organization will be improved after this. With an afternoon plagued by a myriad roadblocks seemingly trying to derail me from spending this QT with my daughter, I was at wits end when I finally got through to Go Apes over the phone. The young lady assisted me by conveying my arrival time to the site staff. I was going to be right on time or just a few minutes late due to a wreck on the frontage road and construction on the main lanes of the highway. What a combo! How did the young lady who relayed my arrival time to the site staff not get the message that the site was closed due to maintenance?!? That phone call could have saved a lot of trouble, would have stopped several unsatisfied customers from writing negative reviews and salvaged some revenue! I hope this doesn t fall on deaf ears. Someone in the chain of command here dropped the ball. Accountability will go a long way in salvaging customers, employees and company reputation.

What weve got here is failure to communicate. Im with the group of 40+ dads and daughters that was not informed of the French invasion, well the silent invasion of the French construction crew that is. So daring and strategic it was, not one employee of this establishment was aware it was happening until it was too late. We had arrived, but not before the French. Upon arriving, most of us having driven at least 30 minutes in traffic and some much longer, we were informed that we were cancelled. Construction activities had closed the course. A simple phone call or email even 45 minutes before our start time could have prevented this debacle. Instead, we were first offered a rain check or a reschedule. Ultimately, but reluctantly, we were refunded. For this level of inconvenience and lack of communication, the correct remedy would have been refund plus a deeply discounted return visit. I hope the management learns something from this experience of 40+ dissatisfied customers.

Awful. Stay away. We had 40 preteen and teenage daughters and their dads scheduled for the ropes course this evening. Made the reservation 4 months ago. Today on arrival, staff informs us that they have to cancel because of construction crew is on the course and its not available. No attempt to contact us even though they had our email addresses and contact information. The excuse was that they were not informed about the construction and that Theyre French, they just showed up. Lol whatever. Initially only offered a voucher for another date.... When we told them that wouldnt be acceptable because of what had happened and how unreliable a reservation and the company actually would be, they actually asked the dads to leave the office for a moment... so they could I assume call corporate and get approval for what anyone would logically deem a very reasonable request... Eventually we got our refunds, begrudgingly.... Excuses still being made...and apologies scarce. Not the way to handle business, to handle communication with your customer, to handle an obvious and terrible wrong... We should have been given refunds and free vouchers for another date of our choosing to make up for the fact that we drove 30 to 45 minutes from across town only to be turned away. What a waste. Spend your money and your time with your loved ones elsewhere.

I wish I could give a zero stars review our group of 40+ dads and daughters made a reservation back in December 2023 for May 2024 and we got a made up excuse so we couldn t do the experience we paid for. We were told that a maintenance crew showed up unannounced to work on the training site so they will not be able to give us the required training. We showed up at 5:45 pm when they told us. I m pretty sure that they knew about the maintenance all day. We could have avoided in rush hour traffic to get there on time. We didn t even get a I m sorry for the inconvenience or acknowledgment how wrong the whole situation was. Horrible customer service and even worse management and business practices. Stay as far away as a possible from this place!

Nice outdoor activity center. Staff is friendly and helpful. Kids had a great time at their birthday party. There is a height requirement and it s there because it s difficult to transition between stations if you are too short. Kids want to do stuff but saw a kid who was boarder line in height struggle and get stuck. Good workout also. Kiddo who has been doing pull-ups said it helped a lot. Also, if you are afraid of height the main course isn t for you. During mosquito season it s highly recommended to be wearing long sleeves and a ton of repellent. The park didn t have any noticeable mosquitoes but when you enter the forest area it s insane. Trying to take a picture and the land on your hand and phone. Probably slapping 1-2 mosquitoes every 1 minute. It s not as bad when up in the trees but the parents stuck below who has to be deep in the woods as a parent chaperone (required when going deeper) that poor soul is gonna get eaten alive.

We purchased a four pack and went to the location to use during Spring Break. We thought we had reservations and went to the location only to find out we did not. We asked for a refund so that we could take our kids someplace else and were told there were no refunds. The woman at the facility was rude and when we called the 800-number, they pulled phone calls and told us what we heard. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I guess they are so hard-up for money that they will not return the money - and just to think I would have come back if they were actually pleasant.

The good: Plenty to do and given plenty of time to do it. At first I thought the 3 hour time limit would restrict activities. We were able to do every course and repeat our favorites in the allotted time. We left because we were physically tired, not out of time or bored. Multiple courses allow for variety and less wait. Each course seems focused on different challenges allowing you to do fast zip lines, challenging ropes courses, or combinations. The different lines mean you can avoid long lines and other groups, moving at your own pace. The red course has some long lines with water crossings which make for a fun and fast ride. Facility is new and everything is in great working order. The guests equipment is very easy to use. No detaching and reattaching speeds climbs. All the harnesses and other equipment were new, clean and worked as intended. At no time did I ever feel that anyone was in danger. It felt like safety was taken seriously by the staff. The price is very reasonable given the amount of stuff to do, we did the adventure package. The bad: On 2 of the landing zones the bumper is too small or too far back and heavier guests will reach the end of the zone. This causes contact with harder surfaces leading to bumps and scratches. I recommend this place for a good outdoor adventure; we had a great time.

Zipline safety: Ropes course is great, I liked the long and high-speed ziplines but the catch systems on the ziplines are inadequate. They dont make contact with your trolly until the last 4 feet of the landing platform and have several feet of room to take tension. Causing me to slide off the landing platform into the rope/ carabiner retention, I had my sunglasses knocked off and an abrasion around the side of my face where they werent protecting. My wife bounced off the landing platform and struck her head into the metal/plastic portion of the catch system, causing swelling. No partial refund for leaving our session due to minor injuries and safety concerns outside the climbers control. Explained what happened to the first two employees who asked about my experience and it didnt seem to interest them. Revisit your safety mechanisms and Ill be back.

I went today and it was a lot of fun! The park is really nice and clean and staff was so friendly! They re constantly checking on you to make sure you re staying hydrated. If you re interested in going, I really recommend waiting until the weather starts to cool back down. The heat really gets to you really really fast. The courses vary by difficulty. I felt like some parts were really hard and others were very easy. There is water stations, but only at the base of the courses not throughout. There also was a point where they ran out of water which was unfortunate. But I really do appreciate that it was provided at all!!! My only complaint is that some of the shrubbery under the zip lines is really tall and ended up scratching me in a few places. It s hard to control the zip line and I ended up backwards every time, so I couldn t really avoid getting hit. Overall super friendly and helpful staff, fun zip lines especially for the Houston area! But I d wait until the fall/winter months to go so the heat doesn t interfere with the experience!

If youre going here, please call them ahead of time and ask if all of their courses are available. Our group bought 5 Treetop Adventure tickets, which includes both the Zipline Trek and Treetop Journey courses, both of which can be purchased individually. When we arrived at the check-in location, we were told that the Zipline Trek was unable to be used due to construction nearby. We received no call or email about this, but they told us that they just became aware of the construction that morning, and we booked at 9:00 AM so somewhat understandable. We requested for vouchers for the Zipline Trek so we could come back another day when the course was available. They told us that was not possible. Then, we requested for a partial refund; the cost difference between the Adventure bundle and the Journey courses. This made sense to us since they offer the Journey courses for $40/person and technically thats all we were able to do. We paid $65/person for the bundle, so we asked for $25/person refund. They said not possible. They didnt even offer cancellation and full refund. Quite frustrating, but we went to do the Journey courses anyways. I want to give a 1-star review due to the frustration, but the actual courses were quite fun and challenging. The outside workers were professional, informed and informing, and friendly. They made sure we were safe and hydrated. The experience aside from the issue mentioned was nice. Just wished we wouldve been able to do the Zipline Trek, which is what our group was mainly excited for. We finished early and went back to the check-in center to ask once more to be accommodated for not being able to do the Zipline Trek. The worker said she could only give us a 10% discount, which comes out to $7-8 /person. Again, seemingly unfair considering the cost difference between the bundle and the Journey is $25/person. The manager came and explained to us that we technically only missed 1 out of 5 courses. To me, that was irrelevant because the 4 courses that we did do were all part of the $40 Journey ticket. Even with her logic, we should be compensated 20%, not 10%. Overall, cool place to have fun. Outside workers have good service. Frustrated that we were unable to do the Zipline Trek, not warned beforehand, not offered a full refund+cancel beforehand, and not offered proper compensation. Please call them before you go or just go to Wimberly Zipline Adventures instead lol.

Oh my! First allow me to start with the staff. When looking at the Google Search, there is a phone number that you can call and they are very professional! When given the information for which location you are attending for that day, they go as far as to check the reservations available and even the weather forecast for you before you drive there and get weathered out. Upon arrival, the staff is nothing less than top tier amazing! They prefer reservations over the website prior but they do sell some really good look merchandise and also sell water and Gatorade. They also offer protein bars which are free for anyone who feels like they may need that boost or if they haven t eaten. To call out one person in particular, Jasmine was at the desk this past Saturday and not only is she absolutely gorgeous but she s very good at the job she works!! Moving on to the obstacles, they are easy in some spots and more difficult in others! Overall an amazing experience for everything that I was able to accomplish!! The ziplines are great! I would visit this place time and time again!! They are picture and GoPro friendly, which is a plus! To top it all off, if something comes up or you re stuck in traffic on your way there they will have such an understanding of that when you arrive and still allow you to enjoy your time!!

Well I wanted to by a ticket but if you are a parent you have to buy a ticket and participate to watch the kid per below One participating adult (18+) is required to supervise up to four youths, ages 15 and under. Participating adults may not supervise from the ground. So sounds like they just want extra cash. Places should have folks supervising and helping the kids. I went to tree ventures off 45 north and I just paid for parent ticket took pics from the ground and they had PLENTY of staff supervising in the sky! Literally, staff was everywhere....I want to pay for my kid to have fun... simple

Even worse my daughter was feeling very sick in the heat and tried to ask staff for water or where to purchase one and they just brushed it off and didn t have any concern for guests. They should be more flexible on when they open because being closed for so many days a lot of people have different off days to be able to come and enjoy this experience.

We did the 1hr Treetop Journey course. 1 adult and two teenage kids. There s an upper course and lower course. There was plenty of time for us to do the upper course twice and the lower course once. For younger kids or more cautious families, it might take a bit longer. For us, the upper course was more fun and challenging. We ll definitely be back to try some more challenging options. Note: We had a 9:15am appointment in May, the time of day meant the weather wasn t overly hot when we started. I m not sure we d do an afternoon appointment in the sun.

We had a great time on the 3 hour experience today. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because we paid for 3 hours and they wrote a stop time of 5:15 on our bands. However, at 4:15 they had shutdown all of the courses except for the one in the sun that we didnt want to go on. They said they were closing it behind us as we finished since no one else was there. We were hoping to do the red ziplines or one if the courses in the trees again, but ended up stopping with 30 minutes left as everything was shut down. Thst was disappointing with how much we paid.

I have done many ziplines but never a ropes course so wasnt sure what to expect. I wont be back. First, it wasnt easy to find this place as there isnt good signage. We werent even sure where to check in once we did find it.. be on the lookout for a grey trailer in the parking lot. Secondly, we signed up for a 9;00 spot but didnt actually begin until 9:55. This is because there was no one to help us get harnessed up until 9:30. They are definitely not in a rush here. We got harnessed up and went through a safety training and then you are pretty much on your own. The staff is very nice but seem very green which didnt instill a lot of confidence in me. One staffer wasnt even sure which gate opened up to which zipline. Thats not good.. The ziplines move fast and the stops are very abrupt and rough. I slammed into the stops on each of the platforms, once hitting my head. Water is provided and you will need gloves. If you dont have any, you can buy them here for $10 which i felt was reasonable. All in all, it feels like a very loosely run operation. If you are looking for a great and safe zipline experience, I highly recommend Wimberley Zipline.

So much fun! Went with my two little kids and we had the best time. The kids course has just the right amount of adventure to make it nerve wracking for the kids and fun for the adults. After three times through, the littles felt like they d conquered something amazing, and I was so unbelievably proud of them! I only wish I d been able to take more picture of them on the course, but the staff is all about safety. No phones out while climbing. Checking and rechecking harnesses. And so many eyes keeping watch from the ground, ready to help if needed. Can t wait to go back solo to try larger course!

Was very exhilarating and quite a workout for my nephew. He had a wonderful time. Not really the place for you if youre old or out of shape, but well worth the money for a teens birthday gift.

The new Go Ape course in Houston|Sugar Land is a win for Texas! Previously you had to drive 5+ hours to get to the location in North Texas. Having Treetop Adventure AND Treetop Discovery AND Treetop Journey gives all ages and fitness levels an opportunity for an outdoor adventure. After visiting many different Go Ape locations, I highly recommend the Houston|Sugar Land location. The staff is enthusiastic, friendly, and supportive. The priority for safety during the entire experience is welcomed and appreciated. I went on the Treetop Discovery as the other courses are in the final stages of construction. I was happily surprised to discover how challenging the course was and that the adventurer had so many options to make their unique path. I look forward to my next visit with more friends and family participating as soon as the other courses are open.
