My experience is only breakfast thru the drive through I have been here many times for breakfast tacos. The tacos taste good; however the tacos are small and pricey. Even the super tocos are like 1 and a half times bigger and super pricey. They have messed the order up on many occasions and recently I ordered 8 (tiny) tacos for 25 dollars, which is over 3$ a piece. They ask if I want the receipt and I say no. When I get home I look at my bank app and see that they took an extra 5 dollars, basically tipped themselves. But there was no service besides cooking the food and excepting my money.

This place wouldnt know crispy bacon if you shoved it up their bums. Their salsa is 80% water. Ive given them numerous chances to get 1 order right. They have failed. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. They should consider talking to the people who own Alexs Tacos in seguin because they actually know what their doing.

Drove at 4:50am and they were already open which was fantastic but the food I ordered was absolutely incredible. Barbacoa and menudo that blew me away. I ve grown up eating these foods and these are easily some of the best I ve ever had. Will be returning and with friends.

I decided to try the Bean and cheese, Picadillo with potatoes, and the Carne Guisada super tacos. The portions were huge. The Bean and cheese was okay, however the beef in the other tacos was really strong tasting to the extent it overwhelmed the seasonings and left a bad aftertaste (poor quality meat). This made what may look good in pictures a disappointing total waste of money!

Always a delight ordering the super taco of Bacon and egg and Picadillo with potato super taco as well is worth it! Their homemade hot sauce is definitely superb. It is the best Ive ever had! I believe the inside was closed due to staffing issues, but it was worth the wait in the drive-thru! Food

Good food made to order friendly people love going there Parking: Small, handicap accessible parking by front entrance but road has some bumps that needs to be repaired. Loose gravel here and there and a few small potholes but nothing that would hurt your car unless you are speeding through. Wheelchair accessibility: In front by entrance door

7:18AM A dozen tamales and 1 barbacoa taco 1 soda . Older Gentleman up front taken orders In glasses was very respectful and helpful , even when I forgot my money . Location is for pickup only. And has drive through capability, but this is not advertised. If you are looking for a place to go and eat. This would probably not be it. Most restaurants have reopened dine in capability. Its just unfortunate we are still living by COVID policies.

Love having breakfast here with my wife! Their dining room is closed so its drive through only but everything is very affordable and tastes amazing. Friendly service that can get a bit slow at times depending on how many ppl are there but they make up for it with their quality. This is as authentic and grass roots as youll get in San Marcos!

This place looked abandoned when I first drove in. No menu, lights or signage outside. I dont even think you can dine in. I almost left until I noticed cars in the drive thru. This place gets busy! They take orders quickly but then park everyone so the parking lot filled up quickly. It was worth the wait. Breakfast tacos were good. They at least need one good sign that says drive thru open or something. Seems like theyre trying to deter too much business?

Drove through and found the service to be lovely, the prices quite reasonable and the portions very satisfying. Ordered 2 super barbacoa on flour with avacado and 1 super potato, egg, bean and cheese on flour for $24. The taquitos were over 10 inches long and easily 3 inches across. Served hot and it was clear the ingredients were very fresh. I didnt do inside so i cant taste the atmosphere but these folks really know how to handle the Sunday morning rush.

TLDR: avoid at all costs (ne mange pas ici!) {No coman aqui} I dont even know where to begin. I guess to start, the place feels cheap. They leave like 3 napkins per table instead of proper dispensers or even a paper towel roll as Ive seen at other seafood places (crab). The bathroom smelled worse than the truck stop one down the street... But the worst of it had to be the food. I got a del patron tostada and it tastes like straight salsa inglesa. Waaay over seasoned and anyone that took a bite couldnt even pretend to go for the second. The Baja fish tacos were not seasoned and loaded with condiments. Condiments are not a replacement for basic seasoning like SALT or PEPPER. The cherry on top was that the wait staff kept asking me if the food was alright and were unphased with a very honest no. They even asked me if Id like to take order some drinks for the road. I can sincerely say that was a first. I never write reviews but this place earned it. As always this is just my opinion, but I hope it serves you well. God bless

This experience is not about the food because the food is OK. This is about the customer service. I had a call in order. Paid for my order at 12:04 pm since it is a drive thru only I was asked to park at a spot that they picked and directed me to. So I parked. As I waited I see customers that came in after me get there orders no problem. So I thought they thought the same thing I did and called there order in so there would be less of a wait. Cool. But ever car after just kept getting there orders and mine still hadn t came.. So I finally decided to go in to see what s going on with my order. It s now been 30 minutes. I Walk in the guy that cashed me out remembered me and asked what I needed I said my order he was like you haven t gotten it I said no. Then he went to the back and brought it to me. So it was just sitting there. So I asked to talk to the supervisor. which is an older gentleman with glasses that came to talk to me. And I told him what happened his answers were I m sorry I don t know what to say and my favorite one was you came during a time we got busy come on sir. Those answers say, you knew there was a mistake on your part and you tried to justify it by saying I came during a busy time. La Fonda has been in business long enough to know how to manage there business in these kinda situations. If not then maybe it s that supervisors fault and La Fonda should look into replacing him. Like I said in the beginning it s not about the food..

The breakfast burritos were very good, but the dinning area was close due to COVID. We didnt get to try the salsa because we had to eat in our car, so we didnt get the full experience. I really want to love this place, but the workers always forget items. Ive been going here for years and miss eating inside. Thanks Covid. It is a risky dink place but the food is great tex mex.
