Ben eating here for years, long before I moved out of town 17 years ago. Had to stop in since its been probably 10 years since I was in town and able to stop in. It was every bit as delicious as I remembered. Hope to bring my new family with me to eat here the next time Im in town.

We got out of a Dr appointment today about noon and my wife was hungry since she had been fasting. I hadnt been to Texas Hamburger Co for several years. I use to eat there often in the 1990s when i worked in the area. It was as good as I remembered. We didnt leave hungry. Im sure we will be going back when we are in the area!

Tis place has all kinds of hamburgers! All good. The best part is they slice their real potatoes and fry them to perfection. Makes a delicious lunch with a cold beer, iced tea, or soda. Yummy! They are on Heubner Road near Babcock intersection.

I went yesterday at 7pm since on Google Maps it appears that they close at 8pm, the cashier, when she saw me enter, looked up at me and served me very upset, that lady has served me before and this time she talked to me about very bad way, just like when she served me my soft drink the girl with blue hair made me a very upset face, I rolled my eyes up, very bad for the attention of this restaurant, it is the last time I go, bad for the staff

New meaning to Comfort Food. I take my 87 year old mother in her wheelchair for her favorite Two-Catfish Filets with fries and salad. It never ceases to get old, looking at my mom devour the thick (crispy on the outside / tender on the inside) catfish as she munches on the tasty fries and ends with her salad. It is her Go To place after a doctors visit. I usually get a turkey burger (extra mustard) with double salad. Parking is great and VERY wheelchair accessible. A giant variety of selections. I dont buy mom the chicken fried steak because she says it is TOO BIG and she doesnt like leftovers. Ha! Dietary restrictions: Yes. Lactose. Parking: Flat up front parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Very. No steps andcwide,areas between tables.

I remember coming here when I was a student in San Antonio back in 99. I went the other day and it was DELICIOUS just as it was back then! I ordered the kids combo and it was filling. Angus Burger & Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich AMAZING!! Honestly, my husband & I could have spilt the Philly. It was a foot long, piled high! The Burger was so juicy, that you had to go wash your hands when you were done. Napkins just didnt cut it. They do have a few salads on the menu. You order at the counter, they call your number & you go pick up your order. They do come around & check to see if you need anything. Everyone was polite & upbeat. Will definitely go back if Im in the area!

Food was good, but we sat by a family and the mother was yelling at her kid constantly like she was at home and interrupting everyones dinner not to mention they have a piano by the entrance and several kids were playing it. The parents said nothing nor did the staff. It was very irritating. We weren t able to eat comfortably and couldn t wait to leave.

1st Time here & Ill definitely come back to try something else & have more yummy food. I had to be guided asto how to order & what to do. As I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Combo & waited I looked around the location & took some pictures. My order came up #88 & I received my order. Sat down and started eating this Delicious Combo. I had the tater tots, which was tasty n crispy with a warm potato inside. Then I took a bite of my Juicy Cheeseburger with Crispy Bacon & I was Satisfied..... As I was eating, all of a sudden I heard some Divine Music playing A child was on one of the two pianos here & he was playing Beethovens Moonlight Sonata How incredible to hear such Wonderful Music as I was chumping away at my Yummilicious Burger & tasty tots Tons of happy people eating here & so much historical memorabilia throughout this joint. Very nice staff members & excellent customer service here. Plenty of parking & space available. Self-service soda station plus condiments station is a plus too....They also provide Clean-up afterwards as well.

Food wasnt bad, my son enjoyed his burger, but I dont think Ive ever received chicken fried steak without gravy. I guess thats the way its served here. It was our first time here and we sat at a table for about 10 min before we realized we were supposed to go up to the counter to order. Theres just no signage. We had to point it out to an elderly couple that stood at the door for a couple of minutes. And then an employee took all the napkin dispensers from the tables and booths and all the ketchup bottles and gathered them on one booth, presumably to refill them? It was still over an hour until they closed. Given all this I dont think well be back.

Ive been to THC twice now. Yesterday, I got the Mushroom Swiss burger and a milkshake, and they were AMAZING. It was one of the best mushroom burgers Ive had. The fries were nice and crisp, and the milkshake was really good. Today, I went again and got the Black Angus burger, which was more expensive and supposedly better quality. But it just wasnt as good. The burger was a LITTLE disappointing (still good, though), and the fries were not as good as yesterday. I also got the fried mushrooms, which were alright.. not amazing. It seems as though the food quality may differ a little, depending on whos working. Staff was friendly and helpful both days. Food was quick to come out. Overall, its a good restaurant. Definitely worth a try. I would like to come again a few more times and try other things, and I may update my review in the future. Food isnt necessarily bad, just really leaves something to be desired ... Orders are consistently made incorrectly causing me to have to go back to the restaurant. The staff is always super friendly and courteous, jumping at the chance to fix any problems, its just that it keeps happening, and its made me not want to even order from there anymore

My kids ordered the cheeseburger with fries. I ordered chicken strips with fries. I had a bite of their burger which was good. Flavorful. Unfortunately, the fries were a bit sorry. They were cold and limp. Like they were sitting for a while. The chicken strips were okay. But, honestly, the fries are the pucker up to my meals. If I cant enjoy a side of fries, it disrupts the whole meal. The sweet tea was okay but it tasted like it had been sitting for a while. I probably wouldnt go back.

I was able to order my burger cooked to my liking. That was a big plus! The service was friendly, and the employee taking the order was knowledgeable. That was another plus, in this, the world of cookie cutter burger joints. This one has broken the mold. The atmosphere, although bland, gave the diner a welcoming feel. Parking was not a problem and ample in its own lot. A long standing San Antonio favorite, holds its own, even today.

We tried Texas Hamburger Company today for the first time and had it delivered through PostMates....it was really good! Definitely recommend the bacon cheeseburger.....it was juicy, flavorful, and very filling. The fries were good since they were still warm and kind of reminded me of wingstop fries The bacon cheeseburger combo came with the fries and a 20 oz. drink for $12.22. My son added a fried egg to his for an additional $1.30 Overall, we will definitely be back (in person)!

A dipsomaniac would not uncommonly call for a double when succumbing to the force that drives this behavior. On the other hand I think burger lovers are much less likely to order a double when fueling up on an American sandwich favorite. I am here to tell you that this mind set is all wrong and heres why. Ones natural proclivity is to order a single patty possibly with cheese or a calorie splurge with bacon. Most often the burger comes with 1/4 lb. of beef and arrives medium well no matter your request for less done. The patty is usually just too thin for anything but and more often than not dry as a bone.. Hold on a minute . . . I started ordering the Working Man at Burger Boy which is a double meat / double cheese burger. Yes the patties are 1/4 lb. each, but somehow having two of them plus the cheese eliminates any dry meat syndrome that usually accompanies a single 1/4 lb. burger. Yeah, yeah. I know there are those that say a double is just too big for me. Well, take someone with you to eat the other half. Im serious. If you want a juicy burger, this is the way to go. Places where I have ordered both double and single, the outcome has proven my double hypothesis to be true. If you have made the decision to have a burger in the first place, why not do your best to ensure a pleasing outcome. I will double down to say that the double cheese burger today at Texas Hamburger was outstanding!

This was my second time here. We tried the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. My son had a burger which was very good. Chicken fried chicken was good but small and the steak was not great-lacked flavor. I prefer my chicken frieds with mashed potatoes/gravy. But it comes with half order of fries or tots- why the half ? And not crazy about the salad either. Had to ask for utensils and was given plastic. So I had to insist on real utensils and staff said they don t normally hand out because customers would steal them. Umm, ok ? Dinning room was awkward and hardly room to get to the kitchen to pick up your food all the way in the back. If the giant Christmas tree was removed, there would be more room. There is a cart in the middle that has a big wooden piece sticking out & almost slaps you if you don t duck. Cashier window needs to remove the Covid set up. Staff was pleasant, so that was ok.

The only reason for a 4star on service is because there is practically 0% table service other than picking up trays. Which is fine, but we expected table service. Everything is self-serve. We stopped in today to eat an early dinner. It was our first time visiting. We did miss the turn to get in the parking lot because it wasnt a stand-out building or sign. However, we turned around and made a right into the parking lot. It is a nice relaxing place with a lot of old-fashioned soda signs and decor. It appears to be a two story dining area inside, but we didnt go upstairs. I could see authentic saddles and signs displaying an old-fashioned tex-mex style/burger diner. When you come in, you go up to the counter to order your food and get a ticket number thats called when its ready. The young lady at the counter was super friendly, had a beautiful smile, and was professional. We got our self-serve drinks and found a table. It wasnt long for our food to be cooked. It was maybe 15 ish minutes or so. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! I was very impressed and the portions were very generous. I had the chili burger combo with steak fries. My son had the bacon cheese burger combo, and my husband had a strawberry shake. My burger was cooked perfect and juicy. The chili was mild and not too spicy. I loved it! My son is young, and so his burger was plain and dry. He had the meats and bun. He said his burger tasted great, but he was not fond of the bacon. He said it melted in his mouth and tasted smokey. I was a but confused because I tasted his bacon, and it was also very delicious and crunchy. He likes his bacon a little chewy, lol. My husband said his shake was good but not $4 good, if that makes sense. It looked tasty, but I didnt taste it. The restaurant was very clean. Oh, they have a huge, like 12-foot skeleton near the counter that helps greet you when you order. My son gave him a high five. Overall, I highly recommend eating here, and we will definitely come again. Unfortunately, I didnt think to take any pics. I will try to remember next time. Parking: They had some handicapped parking by the front door. The parking lot extends around to the back of the building. Kid-friendliness: It seemed like a relaxed environment. I would have felt comfortable bringing my boys when they were little to eat here. They have tables and booths. Wheelchair accessibility: I know the front walkway to the door was smooth without a curb. They have tables and booths for seating, which could accommodate someone in a wheelchair or walker. I didnt visit the restroom so I cant say much there. Im sure it would be handicapped accessible though.

Called in a phone order (Friday, 02/16/2024) of just two simple burger meals. Confirmed the order twice with the woman on the phone and again confirmed the order with the cashier with whom I paid when I picked up the food. The order still came back wrong despite three confirmations of the very small changes (one burger without cheese and the other with grilled onions). In fact, one of the burgers seemed completely wrong all together, as if we got someone else s order. Also, BOTH burgers contained short, coarse, black hairs (looked like beard hair) which made us both lose our appetite completely. It must have been a really bad night because we had ordered here once before and it was fantastic. But because of this last stomach-turning visit, we unfortunately cannot bring ourselves to go back.

Ordered through grubhub and it arrive late which isnt their fault but all the food was room temp when it got here and the burger was a regular cheeseburger not a green chilli burger like I ordered.

I went for the burger but saw yall had chicken fried chicken, my favorite. It was delicious along with the tots and salad. But the highlight was the dessert. I have never had a chocolate chip cookie so damn good. My family did enjoy their meals as well.Definitely coming back for more of everything.

The owner should revisit location. Beverage counter was unbelievable. Bag of ice on counter top, a cooking tray with open bag of ice to get ice for drinks. Cashier/ one of the managers, offering drinks with meal when knowing soda machine is currently out of service. Cold Soda cans should have been offered instead. Took my family to this restaurant and service sucked. What a shame.

I love the hamburgers because they are the right size and yummy. Their fries and tots are hand cut and amazing. Their convos are great and they even have a Jr. combo with half order fries since their regular combos have a large order of fries and I means LARGE. Great atmosphere.

Amazing. Lived here almost 10 yrs now and on this side of town...it was our first time. They reaaaaally know how to make a PHILLY CHEESE STK.... MG!!! We could tell from the high traffic of p/u orders that this place has to be tha PLACE 2 B. We will be baq for the fried CATFISH!

SO FREAKIN TASTY!!! I cant wait to try the entire menu. Today, I got a Cheeseburger Jr Combo w/fries & a Fresanada topped w/chamoy, Lucas & garnished w/a tamarind straw. The hubby got Mushroom & Swiss single patty burger combo w/tots. The only downside was the soda fountain not working -- flat soda but they still offered lemonade, sweet & unsweetened tea. They were also nice enough to give a complaining lady a free bottled soda for the inconvenience.

Probably the Best hamburger for your money in town. Place is nice, and is high end Texas country style like 10 plus years ago. lighting needs their attention. There are to many dark corners and it makes the place feel gloomy inside. Flow is a bit awkward. Otherwise the food was excellent as far as hamburgers and tots go. Parking: Tight up front but large side or next to building.

Good: - If I was just rating the burger - five stars! The burgers were fantastic. Bad: - 30 minutes to get two hamburgers when the place was only at about 20% capacity. - The tater tots were generic, out of a bag, frozen, etc. and my son almost chipped a tooth because there was a small pebble in one of them. - The strawberry malt wasnt anything to write home about. - Orders come out haphazardly. Two people who ordered after us got their orders first. Overall: The bad - especially the wait and inconsistent service - outweighed the good.

They have a great variety of burgers! The meat is good and not a thin slice like some places! If youre not a double meat person then single is fine and you can still taste the beef!! Self serve free refill on drinks. A great place to eat! A variety of decorations always depending on the holiday! Always fun to see what new stuff they put up!

Before we even got our food we were asked to tip. Tip for taking our order? We walked to the counter and took our food to our own table. Doesn t make sense to leave a tip before any service and all u did was push a few buttons and wipe down the table when we left. I m pretty hung up on that tip thing. Food wasn t Texas size and two regular sized meals for $30 is on the high side. Definitely awesome to look at, nicely decorated walls, etc. It s definitely a feel good vibe as far as the facility but the young lady who took our order couldn t smile even though we cracked many jokes trying to see a smile. Do better with wait staff please. We ll continue to tip at the table like regular people. However, it doesn t get a return business from us but it could have been worse.

Food was delicious but not what I ordered, so I tried not to make a big deal about it. Asked for some pickles so I could put them on myself. Manager came by and asked what was up, acknowledged that the order was wrong, and offered to refund my food. I am happy with this outcome.

Best burgers in town, we drive almost 30 minutes just to get here and is well worth a trip. You have to make sure you ask for your burger with Texas toast, this along with the tater tots is top notch. Been coming here for years, would definitely be going for years to come.
