First time here and it was a superb dining experience. The cheese plate appetizer was sublime, the strawberry arugula salad an excellent follow. But it was the scallops main course that was the highlight. The serving staff was excellent, and the facility up to the standards of the food. You pay for food, atmosphere, and service like this, but for that splurge night, you will find excellence here.

5 out of 5!!! Had our anniversary dinner here in August and enjoyed our experience from the moment we stepped foot into the building. The staff was on-point!!! My recent visit to SILO in San Antonio was a delightful experience. The ambience was great, setting the perfect tone for an enjoyable evening. Our waiter, David, truly stood out with his excellent service, warm personality, and detailed knowledge about the dishes. He regularly checked in to see if we needed anything and even brought refills without us having to ask. The appetizers and main course were delicious and served in just the right portions. Overall, I highly recommend SILO for its wonderful dining experience. When you visit, be sure to ask for David as your waiter to ensure an exceptional service.

We had a wonderful 4th of July dinner. PAN SEARED SEA SCALLOPS, Israeli Couscous, Sweet Corn, Bacon, Jalapeños, Cherry Tomatoes, Sautéed Garlic Spinach, Romesco Sauce. One of my favorite dishes. I will say that I received a text fro Silo about a 2FOR1 entree special. That is a great deal except when you get to the restaurant they point out that the deal is actually only $29 dollars off of one entree. If you enlarge the text ad you can see in the tiniest print on the 3rd line, the additional wording. Seriously, dont say Purchase your favorite entree, and receive a complimentary entree of equal or lesser value, of that is not actually the offer.

Was there for professional dinner/presentation. Everything was great. My only disappointment was no beer on tap. They did have decent bottled choices. Huge wine list and fancy cocktails. Prob trying to keep out us unsophisticated beer loving riff-raff. Does Silo really stand out as unique in this city... not really. Will you have wonderful service and an excellent meal here..yes, without question. Would I come here on my own given the choices available in San Antonio... Probably not.

Fantastic food and high end service. BABY WEDGE was crispy, fresh and my favorite part was the buttermilk ranch with blue cheese and crisps of beacon. Chef s special was my main dish that included sort fish with crab lumps, Bucatini and some spices it was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend SILO if you like flavor in your dish.

Silo serves contemporary American cuisine. Accessible through Nona Osteria and an elevator to the 2nd floor, the restaurant boasts a serene ambiance perfect for a quiet evening out. The custom green apple martinis were a strong and enjoyable start, followed by a fantastic jumbo lump crab cake appetizer which I highly recommend. The oak-grilled Atlantic salmon and off-menu grouper entrees were both delicious and well-received. Their crème brûlée and citrus cheesecake were equally delightful. Randy, the attentive and helpful server, enhanced our dining experience. Overall, our experience at Silo Restaurant was fantastic. From the impeccable dishes to the outstanding service, we left satisfied and impressed.

Excellent ambience Excellent service Disappointing steaks I guess their buyer prefers seafood and doesn t know how to choose steak? There was a total lack of marbling on the prime ribeye steak. One wonders if the steak is always lacking or just inconsistent. Plenty of steakhouses in San Antonio that consistently offer high quality steak so I am unlikely to come here again.

The food was really good, the service was very good too. Thats why its so expensive over there The cooking is of a really high class though. I did not like the atmosphere at all. Last year we were in a separate room, it felt like office. It is not cozy from any point, looks very official, no warmth.. But this year we dined in a big room and it was evening and the soft lights looked much cozier. The toilet was very dirty!! Like, really?.. Vegetarian options: Not so mucoc vegetarian food. Of course you can ask to not put unwished ingredients in the dish, but its not that wanted option.

I booked a large event at the 1604 location for teachers (100 in attendance) as a meal treat for team building for our school. The bill was over $1,700 - and while the event and location were phenomenal, the reason for my review is this: when I asked for gift cards as Christmas gifts for the staff holiday party, I never received a reply via email, nor phone, and when I got someone on the phone, the call disconnected. In the future, I wont be using this location for large events nor help to promote them. I gave them business on a slow day, and they couldnt reciprocate with a couple gift cards for teachers. :(

The food is okay but the service is not. When we were seated, we immediately got our water glasses filled but it was another 5-ish minutes before the waiter came by to take our drink orders and at least 10 more minutes after that before he took our appetizer orders. It was a Friday night, but not exceptionally busy. Each waiter had about 4 to 5 tables. We had the chicken fried oysters and the breading is definitely seasoned well but something just felt like it was missing. The only thing I can think of is maybe lemon. They felt incomplete, but Im not sure why. I wouldnt try them again. We had another long wait after we finished that and the waiter came by for our dinner orders but at that time he also brought us bread. Odd timing, but oh well. The white bread had an odd flavor and the brown was okay. I ordered the salmon for dinner and my husband ordered the steak. The salmon was good but not exceptional. However, my husband loved the steak. He said everything about it was perfect. We also tried the coconut pie and citrus cheesecake for dessert. They were also okay, not amazing. With the bad service and just okay food, I wouldnt visit again for a full meal. I would, however, come back for just the steak and order immediately- well as soon as the waiter decides to come around. Vegetarian options: Theres one vegetarian option for appetizers and one for dinner - the cheese plate and the vegetarian quinoa. You can also order a salad. Due to the limited options, I wouldnt recommend this to a vegetarian. Parking: Its located in a strip mall with plenty of parking for dinner. Maybe during the day it would be busier.

If youre able to afford upscale dining, this place will not disappoint. The waiter said their beef is only sold to the top two percent of restaurants in the nation, and I believe it. Its been a long time since Ive had such a good Prime Ribeye. It was reported to be grass fed/grass finished, which is healthier than some of the other restaurants that choose to not do this, so I appreciate that info as it makes the cost seem more reasonable. My only issue was it couldve been a little thicker, but Im not going to ding that as it was excellent. The scallops were amazing too. Very large and flavorful. As for starters, I recommend the calamari and the fried oysters, both were phenomenal. Drinks are excellent too, but I only had the Old Fashioned and it was very good with a Lux cherry. The martini looked amazing too when it was delivered to the table, but I learned long ago to not mix different alcohols. I will return as Im looking forward trying the grass fed Lamb chops imported from New Zealand. Maybe with my wife for our anniversary, as this place is upscale and perfect for that occasion.

What an amazing experience. This was my first visit with my mother on Mothers Day; however, she is a regular here. We had to move our reservation a few days before due to some unforseen circumstances. The restaurant was quick to accommodate on one of the busiest days of the year. I recently went for my birthday the weekend of April 22 2023. The host Chris was absolutely phenomenal! My friends were running more than 30 minutes late as I sat there eating food alone and crying. The waiter Chris makes me believe in angels. If it wasn t for him my birthday dinner would have probably been completely ruined. The atmosphere was beautiful and all the host and hostess were absolutely amazing. I had the beef tenderloin with garlic mash, shout-out to the chef ! I cannot wait to return. Dad had a Sprite, I had the Luxardo Whiskey Sour, and my husband had Pine Ridge. We had the Duck Spring Rolls as an appetizer. Love the sauce! Dad and I shared the Sea Bass and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My husband had the Scallops, and I ate half of one. They were the largest scallops Ive ever seen! For Dads early birthday celebration, Brad brought out the complimentary creme brulee with a candle! Such a sweet ending! It was busy for a Monday night. Excellent food and service! 2019: Our group of 6 church friends had dinner tonight and chose from the Restaurant Week menu. We did order the calamari in addition. Our group tried the fried oysters, soup and salad for starters. I loved the fried oysters! For the entree, we had all 3 choices - shrimp and grits, cod and pork tenderloin. I felt that the sausage and sauce for the shrimp and grits was a bit salty. Friends who had the pork tenderloin thought it was tender and sauce was good. Most of us had the dark chocolate mousse and 1 had the pumpkin cheesecake. We had Elouan pinot noir with dinner and it was great!

The customer service was just as elevated as the cuisine. From the moment we arrived we treated like valued customers. Big shoutout to our waitress Kayleigh ( sorry if I spelled your nane wrong) . She was very attentive and gave great recommendations. She was also very friendly. We cant wait to come back! Wheelchair accessibility: I recently tore my ACL so I am in a wheelchair and it was very easy to navigate through the restaurant.

Went for holiday lunch with my team. Had the Fixed Price menu, including a Caesar salad, New York steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and chocolate mouse for dessert. Well cooked, but forgettable. Nothing stood out. Others had the salmon, which they indicated they enjoyed very much, so I will rate accordingly.

Decided to visit this place on a girl s night. We first hung out downstairs at the Nonna bar. Great service and drinks. Once our table was ready, we went upstairs to Silo. We waited for about 10 minutes it seems to even get greeted by the waitress. She didn t introduce herself, she literally just walked up to our table and filled our glasses of water. We awkwardly said hi since we didn t know if she was our waitress. She literally set the tone for the remainder of the visit. She rarely checked on us, didn t ask us if we are celebrating anything, or if we have any questions on the menu. Nothing. She probably said 10 words the entire time. This was horrible service coming from a fine dining restaurant, something I wasn t expecting. Food wise, it was good. For me, I find it difficult to enjoy a tasty meal when service doesn t match the ambiance or food. The salmon, sea bass, and beef tenderloin were excellent. I would have given it 4-5 stars, but I am even having difficulty giving it a 3. Kayli, I really hope this was an off day for you and treat your customers with a better attitude . We don t know if we will be returning.

Worst service. Saw our waitress flora maybe 2 times the whole night and then the GM tries to tell my wife that she needs to order at the table and not the bar so now we are stuck waiting on flora our waitress to order drinks at HER CONVENIENCE. It was my daughters 18th bday...tartufo was ordered with no truffle oil and still came with it..pizza was over cooked.. cauliflower was damn near black. Pretty much ruined my daughters 18th bday. Thanks silo but we will never go to a over priced italian silo restaurant and I suggest everyone do the same. 633$ tab and felt like I spent 630$ at McDonalds. Jodi the GM was very rude to my family

Ambiance was perfect, classy with a modern flare, music that was not at all distracting but instead simply enhanced the already pleasant ambiance. Today I was very impressed with Judy, the hostess. My gift bag ripped and out of nowhere, Judy comes with tape and seals it and then she went even further escorted my friend from the first floor to our table. That is top service. The food and service were amazing. Crispy Calamari, Lump Crabcake, Lettuce Wedge, and Chicken Fried Oysters were absolutely delicious. For desert, I would recommend trying one of the their Port Wines, or Inniskillin Icewine. Kudos to Jordan, our server. He did an excellent job with serving us. Parking: Free parking is abundant. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to get you to the dining room.

The pork chop came with a jalapeno Mac n cheese that had just enough zing to be interesting. The sea bass with creamy mashed potatoes. Wonderful experience!! Went there for a date night with my girlfriend and all the food was fantastic! The Signature Oysters and the Bass were especially amazing, and the Coconut dessert was incredible!! All that said, it is not to be outdone by the service and waiter.
