Catered food was super cold. Food was also not very tasty. Waitstaff was not attentive, and they never filled drinks, Both lemonade and tea were also terrible. The area is very big and the parking is easy. The bathroom is a long walk, especially for older individuals.

Location is awesome . Plenty of parking . Entry is huge Ballroom dance floor is huge , plenty of space around you with its round tables . Beautiful decorations . This ballroom is so different it s not cramped like other ballrooms where you are so cramped you can t help but bump into each other. I highly recommend this location s for all of your celebrations.

It was a beautiful venue. Plenty of parking. A/C went out for a bit during the party but eventually came back on. THANK GOD! All in all it was a great spot.

Awful Service! (Royal Event Center) (Banquets del Norte) Family event Jan 2023; we were offered a package deal: fruit with chocolate fountain - unattended and full of gnats. Bar tenders - did not know how to make mix drinks; Security- looked like someone put on a security costume Cake - was ugly and not what I ordered Decorations - chair covers were ripped Restrooms- only 2 out of 4 were working; ran out of hand soap and towels. The toilet paper was hanging from a broken rack. Don t waste your $$ with package deals! They tell you they have their vendors so they get the cheapest for your event! What they explain during negotiations is not what you get in your event! We have called several times to meet to discuss these issues and they cancel appointments

Awful Service... (Royal Event Center) (Banquets del Norte) (DJ Ponce/crew) As a family, we have had several events here at Royal Event Center, and this is by far the worst service we have ever experienced. Here are a few things I noticed... * THE CAKE... The cake was ugly and falling apart. When we confronted the crew setting it up, the guy was touching the cake with his bare hands. We had to tell him to put gloves on. They were all rude and arguing with us. We simply wanted to know why there was a stick coming out of the top of the cake..? And why the flowers looked the way they did. * THE FRUIT... The fruit was set up when we arrived (NOT COVERED) and covered in ngats. We told the servers, and they covered the fruit with paper towels. That fruit sat out for hours. *THE SERVERS... The servers, when serving, were all over the place, and they missed a few tables. *THE BARTENDER... The bartender didnt know how to make the drinks, we had to show her how. She also had her young daughter behind the counter with her. *THE RESTROOM... The restroom had big industrial rolls of toilet paper sitting on the back of the toilets. Midway-end of the night, ALL of the rolls were on the floor. (GROSS) Right away, we ran out of soap and paper towels. They refilled the soap dispenser with dawn soap and made a face when they had to grab some more towels. *THE LIGHTS... The lights were the wrong color, half the hall was on and the other half was off. When we asked to have them changed, no one knew how to work them. We had to call someone. *THE DJ... The DJ (which I hear is not effilated with the hall) but is a business.. That DJ was really bad. DURING THE EVENT, he stopped the music and asked why no one was dancing. He even threatened the guest to take back the lights that were handed out if we didnt get out on the dance floor. (HOW EMBARRASSING) He played weird songs, and some were played twice. (Come to find out... it wasnt the DJ we had requested. WOW.) *THE SECURITY... The security was a joke.. at one point, they were both outside laughing. (You might want to hire your own). This is what I observed and experienced and in my opinion... Think twice about booking here, and do your research. This is a business that only cares about getting that money. Things are definitely different since Royal events Center made some changes and brought in certain companies.

Limo service provided by Xecutive Transportation in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter for a Quinceñera. Royal Event center is very spacious, pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance.

NEW OWNERS ARE TERRIBLE!! Ownership switched after contract was signed and they switched the agreement. They took away concessions, refrigerators, charged additional fees for an hour rehearsal (which they refused to turn on the a/c for and arrived 20 minutes late). NEVER book here, not even for a small event. The notice of the changes were mentioned less than a month to the event.

Ownership of this place only cares about his pocket profits. Do yourself a favor and go spend your hardworking money somewhere else where you get respect. On the day of the event the owner failed to fix the heater issues. After I approached him 4 times inquiring about whether the heater was working he acted as if he was making sure the place was rightly warm. It was 52 inside, we saw the thermometer. He then later left and we where there with the cold. When I tried to talk to him 6 days later, he did not want to understand what had happened. He blamed the outside temperature and said he couldnt keep it warm because it was too cold outside, also refused to compensate me in any way. Just careless greedy piece of human being. So if you can, please go some where else; where you can get quality customer care service and respect. This can also happen in the summer days with the AC. So be careful. Too expensive to get treated like an object.

Place is a hidden treasure for the NE residents of San Antonio. Very courteous owners. Reasonable rates with excellent lighting and sound system, a drop down Projector screen and a high lumen projector are available to conduct any meeting.

We had my niece quince there this Saturday. The lady in charge Karla was not a good event planner. We had a lot of embarrassing moments with her staff as herself. First of all the Dj that she hired was having technical issues for about 30 min during the presentation. Our court of honor was just standing in the middle of the dance floor until it got fixed. You would think that her Karla being the host would go and see what the issue was. For the reason that she sells u the package for these events as a whole. So she don t let anyone outside to come and do anything as in shape, photographer, video, table arraignments. She has her own people that work for her. The Dj has to figure out how to set up the internet by herself. We asked her and she said she had nothing to do about that. Ok that was the first thing that went wrong. Second some of the cup for dinner were cracked or chipped and still was served and set ant the tables as is. We had to get the waitress attention to get them replaced. Third dinner was suppose to be served till 7:30 pm. My family got there at 6:55pm and we got denied food. Saying there was no more. Other family members who got to get there plate the food was cold. Fourth the candy table set up had candies from Christmas and Easter logos. And last thing the video person left the event at 10 pm which he was paid to stay till midnight. Unfortunately we had some very bad service but for the price my family paid was not worth it. Regardless of everything we had no choice but to continue forward with this event. Not a good experience at all.

Beautiful venue. Tables were decorated beautifully and the center is very spacious. The only thing is that the parking is not very big so many people had to park in the street which makes the street a one lane to thru traffic. Other than that, its a great place.

It was a shame that this place served Special Needs Teens and Adults Ice Cold Food at our Christmas Party last night. This food was not just cold it had ice in it. One of the girls at my table said her parent did not come this year because last year their food was cold, I did not believe her. Our table waited 1 hr and 45 min for our food to be delivered and it had ice in the chicken and was almost frozen solid. They only had 3 people taking 2 plates at a time to serve over 100 people. I complained to the person that rented this place and they will not be returning. I am also going to call the Health Department because it has to be a health violation to serve food that is frozen to people that dont know the difference. I am the voice of these people with Special Needs.

Had a horrible experience . The Host Zarah..(I am not sure if that is how you spell her name) she states that its a one stop place... but as the wedding approached she kept coming up with excuse after excuse why she could not provide 1. A catering service 2.a cake 3. An arch 4. A bar tender...and the list goes on ...and though she did take the money which she made it clear she would not give back and we did love the venue (that is why i give it a 3 but if i had to rate with service I would go with 1.service was another story). The day of the event she had a personal event so she left and i never saw her or anyone except for security all night...that i paid for... so i have told this story to whom ever will listen . So that no one i know will go through this experience. Very nice venue if you dont mind doing it all yourself!
