I would give this place a five star but I cant not right now. It needs to be mowed and weed eater so bad, it really needs weed eating down on the banks, and trees need to be trimmed and thinned out, I have nearly had tree limbs to fall on top of me, from weighing so heavy that they are just breaking off. And it the river needs a lot of cleaning up from landslides and trees falling over into the river and all the trash up against the banks.. used to be a real nice park. To visit but its hard to get down to the banks cause the grass and weeds so high and thick. Would hate to see someone get hurt from falling limbs or getting snake bit cause of the tall thick grass and maskeet limbs that are growing everywhere..

Rio Concho Park is a beautiful spot to stop and take a mild stroll along the paved path next to the Rio Concho River. There are many different species of wildlife and plants to view along the way. Along the path are benches with and without shade for your liking. I will come back to this location again and again and recommend this park to my friends and family.

Such a beautiful little walk! The flowers have lots of bees hanging around for obvious reasons, but it was still enjoyable. Lots of butterflies too! It was very clean and well kept. The gazebo has some spider webs, but thats expected. Im happy we stumbled upon this on our drive.

Its very well taken care of and clean. Except the river, it smells of sewage in some places so fishing isnt safe.

The scenes are great! Friendly staff at the welcoming building. There is a lot of historical information that the staff knows and is really good to know. Im very pleased with the large area available for the kids to run around and let loose. The wood chips can be rather difficult to remove from certain clothes though. The restrooms were less than favorable to use and need quite a bit of work. I know that the funds to fix this probably lays in the hands of parks and recreation, but I think if a bill was passed to fix the quality of the restrooms, that it would be beneficial to the people if San Angelo. Overall, it was a great experience.
