Dined here for a week night dinner, so it was quiet as expected. We primarily went here because we were reminiscing arepas we d enjoyed in a different city. Service was polite and attentive, and the order was brought out fairly quick. Atmosphere was clean and simple. There are several more non-vegetarian options than veg. We got the arepitas with just cheese - they were served with a cheesy sour cream sauce (Nata) and extra cheese. I got the vegetarian Arepa - the avocado and sweet plantain tasted great, and I enjoyed the cabbage too. There was just so much of the filling that I had to place the Arepa down at regular intervals since it was kind of heavy to hold . Others in my group got the Llanera Arepa and enjoyed the seasoned, well-cooked meat. The chicken empanadas were also good and came with a sharp garlicky sauce. We ended with the passionfruit mousse type dessert - it was good, but it felt a little strange to taste the sharp citrus of the passionfruit with a creamy mousse and a crumbly pie/cheesecake type of base. Vegetarian options: Only one vegetarian arepa.

Andrea served us in such a cordial way, she made a suggestion that we really enjoyed, such as the extra crispy chicharrón, wow it was really great!!! My Mom fell in love with the place, we will surely return whenever we can. Congratulations and thank you again for leaving Venezuelan gastronomy high! Im leaving the place and the truth is Im impressed by the bad service I received, when the host who served me arrived he sat me at the bar, when I asked for a table its fine I dont mind sitting at the bar but I settle in the worst place where it was impossible to see why there was a visual obstruction when the entire bar was empty . Then the woman who is assisting the bar from the beginning with a curt attitude, where her service felt forced and zero empathy, not at all friendly left much to be desired; After they brought me the food they made me feel uncomfortable as if they wanted me to leave and finally at the time of paying they did not return my change, the woman did not even ask me if I wanted the change when I took the receipt with the payment, she just said He took the difference in payment as a tip, that had never happened to me, I am truly amazed at the poor treatment and service.

Parrillita dish I splitted the dish with my boyfriend and it such a big dish we took leftovers. Would recommend Arepitas you cant beat the prices and such flavorful dishes.

Venezuelan food is so good... I had not realized. Step out of your standard comfort zone of Mexicans fare and go here. It will blow your mind how amazing this food is. Come hungry, big portions. You dont need sides, but the tostones are refreshing and not overwhelming. Really just hands down awesome food. Note that its not super spicy, you can get hot sauce, but it almost has a sweeter notes vs. spicy involved in the dishes.

Came by today, on a Sunday around 3pm. It was not busy and we got seated pretty quickly. It was all downhill from there. Our waitress came by and I ordered drinks appetizer and lunch all together. She was awful, no smile, didn t even bother to ask how we were doing or give any feedback. She had to ask over her earpiece if we could add lettuce to our food. Maybe she was new IDK. We proceeded to wait for 40 minutes for our food. Another girl dropped off drinks and nobody came back to check on us until our food was ready. Same girl that dropped off drinks dropped off our food. The food was subpar. The meat was cold and the bottom half of my arepa was so hard it wasn t edible. No one came to check on us though. Our waitress came back after we signaled her over to ask for boxes and the check. She brought boxes and then went to the back and sent the other girl to bring the check. This is the absolute worst service we have ever received at a dine in restaurant and the cost for the food was not worth it at all.

Excellent flavors, service was ok they need to define if they want to be casual, upscale or what. The atmosphere of the place does not go well with the kind of food as you mainly eat with your hands. Good flavors. Large amounts of food, yet expensive for what it is. The passion fruit juice was delicious and so was the papelon (limeade with brown sugar/molasses). Good tequeños and tasty fry sauce. Vegetarian options: At least two kind of Arepas are vegetarian and a lot of gluten free options. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options but they use one see fryer so there s risk of cross contamination.

I recently tried Arepitas and was absolutely impressed! I ordered the Empanadas with chicken and spicy homemade sauce, along with the chicken Pepito Sandwich. The empanadas were perfectly fried, with a deliciously crispy exterior and flavorful chicken filling. The spicy homemade sauce added the perfect kick. The chicken Pepito Sandwich was a delightful combination of grilled onions, cabbage salad, potato sticks, and a mix of sauces including ketchup, mayoketchup, homemade honey mustard, and garlic homemade sauce, all topped with shredded cheddar cheese and served with crispy French fries. Each bite was an explosion of flavors, and the fries were perfectly crispy. Although I picked up my order, I noticed that the dining room was cozy and clean, and the staff greeted me warmly. The prices are fair, and the portions are more than generous. I cant wait to dine in next time! Highly recommend Arepitas!

I. Love. Arepitas! Who would have known how good Venuezelan food? Clearly, not me. My wife and I happen to try the one in Harker Heights after it was recommended to us and we were in the area. The service and the food were both outstanding. Then the one in Round Rock opened so we tried it. The same outstanding friendly and attentive service greeted us. The food is fantastic. Weve been many times now and I should have written a review sooner. I eat low carb and their bowls can be very low carb and really really good. If you choose cabbage as the base and get parrillita bowl, with a fried egg on top, and of course the grilled jalapeños, and of course their spicy sauce, you have a low carb delicious dish with just enough spice. Yummy.

Went with a coworker for dinner. We shared two appetizers (tostones and Racion De Arepitas) and had an entree each. I had the Parrallita Bowl with rice and an add on chicken empanada. Appetizers were very good. My only entree complaint is that I ordered with the egg but they forgot to add it to the order (possibly our server didnt hear me, because it wasnt on the bill either... guessing thats what happened). Beef was tender and so flavorful, the empanada was amazing, and the garlic sauce was on point. Definitely a great experience. Entrees were in the $15-20 range, appetizers are more than enough for 2 to share.

Little hole-in-wall Mexican restuarant in a strip mall. Really good food with excellent service. A lot of selections.

This place is so good. Food was very unique and delicious. Had a dish that was a sweet corn pancake stuffed with cheese. It was great. Will definitely be going back to try all the different things on the menu. And the guava cobbler dessert was incredible!

My first visit here was pleasant. The waitstaff was great and helpful. I ordered the Llanera Arepa, and it was a two hand kind of meal, which was great. However, it lacked flavor. I wished they would have seasoned the meat better and gotten some crisp or char on the meat. We also ordered Mini arepitas, which I was surprised that they were not already made. You had to stuff them. That was not a welcomed task for me. But the flavor on them just plain was pretty good! I also did not like that the little add-ons they give u as they were cold. The other thing we ordered was the Sangria, which was a must try in my opinion if you like Sangria. Overall, I enjoyed the visit but the food needs a bit of work, of course, thats just my opinion

They charged my card with a 45% tip even though I had only left them 20%. Even though the plantains that came with my arepas were completely tasteless, I tipped 20% because I thought the service was good. Oh surprise when today I received a message from my bank confirming if I had left a 45% tip. What dishonesty! Obviously I will call the bank to reverse the total transaction

This was the best gamble on a new food for us ever! We eat keto and there are options. The food was seasoned beautifully, was fresh and everything was spectacular. We followed with another visit 2 days later. The tostones are *chefs kiss!* Dont even think twice, just go!

For a Venezuelan restaurant rated 4.7 stars on Google, I expected so much more. Food was average yet costly. I expected the food to be flavorful and full of spices but it was bland. My wife agreed with me. The cocktail drinks on the other hand were quite good.

This was such a treat. My first boyfriend is Colombian and he would make homemade arepas and these were some of the best I ve ever had! A nice crunch in the outside and soft and moist on the inside. I will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you!
