The Oxbow Tavern is a new and upcoming bar/tavern located in Richmond, TX! Previously known as The Grove Tavern, The Oxbow Tavern is diligently working very hard to keep our patrons in mind! This is “our place,” and we welcome both locals and visitors equally! The Oxbow Tavern, re-establishing itself in 2018, is under new ownership and management, yet we present the same phenomenal staff with only the best customer service! We have truly had the best bar patrons Richmond and surrounding areas can provide, but hope to bring in new faces to join in on the fun! In September 2022, The Oxbow Tavern finally succeeded in adding additional space and now provides pool tables, darts, and other gaming as well as additional tables for seating!

Im surprised that yall still allow smoking inside the bar. I came home smelling like a ash tray. I havent had a cigarette in 8 years. Other than that it was a good time.

Me and my husband came from Dallas to South Dakota to Houston not knowing anyone! As a gay couple we are always looking for a place that we feel comfortable being us! The bar tender was amazing and guests were friendly! We will definitely return.

Was looking for a quiet pace to drink while in town from the austin area. Had a loud dj but ngl this place is my ideal bar. Great atmosphere great service. 10/10 definitely coming back whenever I visit my home town. Dive bar atmosphere but really a great place. Literally could not have been better 10/5 rating from me.

Typical strip mall bar that is well lit and the staff is friendly at every turn, no matter how busy it gets, they handle getting you drinks. Nice patio but no one smokes on it and o yes they smoke inside (can anyone say 1980s) You will have a good time but your clothes will need washed several times to get smoke out.

We always have a great time here. The drinks are good and at a good price. They can make what ever you want and you usually dont have to wait long to get it. Its a little smokey but you can go out to their patio to get away from it and a quieter place to sit. A little small but from what I understand they are expanding into the space next door.
