I had the pork torta that was very tasty. My mother had the taco salad that was doused in chili that drowned out the rest of the salad and the vegetables were cut way to big and it looked as if they were just trying to fill in the space. My cousin had a tamale. The masa was very thick and can be compared to Jiffy. The elote was good all though just a simple can of corn, sprinkled with quest fresco, for $9. The server was sweet, and the inside was cute, although we were the only customers....that should have been a red flag but we were starving.

Chips were warm and salsa very good . had the caldo de pollo , the broth was very good as was the chicken, wish it had more corn and carrots. Portion of chicken was good . And the flan was very good . If I lived in area I could see being a regular. Menu was impressive. Liked the atmosphere. Don t drink but bar had good selection. Would have given 5 stars for food if tortillas were home made and caldo had more veggies. Over all great experience, to bad was by myself, wife would have liked it .

We ve been visiting this location as well as other restaurants in the same family for years. We were in town on Friday and visited looking forward to our favorite meals. We love the charm and ambiance of this location, tucked in a corner, multiple dining rooms, authentically themed. We arrived at dinner time around 5:30pm. Despite being crowded, we were seated right away at an indoor table. They have two covered patios and one that is basically enclosed as well. I m always glad to see so many people at our favorite places, as I know we ll continue to be able to visit! One of the highlights of our visit is always that our drinks remain full, for the entire meal, no matter how long we stay. Frequent refills of iced tea cannot be understated if you know, you know. The salsa is also fresh and regularly refilled. We started with a cup of queso, jalapeno cheese with spinach. Chips were refilled a couple of times so we could finish it. The queso was rather thin on this visit but is typically thick and gooey melty yummy. My husband ordered crispy tacos, not his normal choice, but he cleaned his plate in record time, so I think it s safe to say he loved it. He went with ground beef tacos and black beans. I ordered Agustin s enchiladas sub street corn for beans, my go to at this location as well as their sister locations. Delicious as always and excellent service!! I wish the parking situation was better, but again, I think it s indicative of just how good the food is!

In all fairness, they had a big lunch rush. The service was decent considering the crowd. The food was good, even if it took a while. The chips and salsa are definitely the hero of this story. They even accommodated my picky friend with a warm (temperature) salsa option, which wasnt my taste, but he loved it. The Torta was good, I really enjoyed jow much avocado they put on it, which I think warrants the price. Overall it was a good visit, and it is a place I would recommend. If you are on a lunch break, consider calling ahead, or plan on an extended lunch time.

This was a disappointment, service was lacking...first of all it took forever to actually take our order and then one of us asked for coke zero and they mentioned they did not have any and he asked for water and was brought a diet coke. My parents asked for the parrillada with no chicken and when brought in it had the chicken...this was rectified but still and the at the end my sister asked for more water to our server to just receive a look of ugh and brought 3 glasses of water like saying stop asking for for more. Im sure not coming back for authentic mexican cousine

We both have not had service that good in a long time. The food was very good. I had the tacos, they were good and I liked that they have black beans instead of pinto. My husband had the carne asada and he said it was very good.

I had the egg and beef burrito. I loved it! The flavors were spot on, and the portion size was good. I 100% recommend this! Pro tip would be to add some of their fresh salsa on top, and damn, you have a delicious burrito. A friend of mine had the tamales; they were a bit dry, but the mole was good. If you like having a nice, quiet place to eat on a cozy patio, this is a great option.

The service was terrible. The manager and host were super nice and tried to make it right but, it took over 30 minutes for our drink order to come. The food was not great, parts of the order were wrong and in my opinion it was not authentic Mexican food. I was skeptical when I saw a salmon and mashed potato burrito on the menu and the enchiladas confirmed it. Maybe my expectations were too high but, I would not eat here again. Only giving 3 stars because the manager was so nice.

Such disappointing customer service. We came for happy hour and our margaritas had rancid lime juice. We asked for a fresh one and after 30 mins of watching our waitress run back and forth getting a table ready for a party who was not there, we left. There were at least 8 waiters standing around. We asked them for help with no response.

Salsa and queso are both good. Good cantina style chips for scooping up the goodness. Elotes is great! And they bring a bottle of hot sauce to spice it up as you desire. It is a large portion, so bring a friend. Nachos - a little disappointed that $14 gets you 7 nachos. On par for what you d expect, but nothing special. Angie s enchiladas and pretty incredible. Great flavor, good portion, would order again. The fried rice was pretty awesome too. A little salty, but surprisingly great flavor. Food was great, parking at this particular location is garbage, and the service was pretty slow for Mexican. Might be all right during off hours, but I d go somewhere else if it s a Friday/Saturday night.

Had lunch here recently and it was not a good experience. We sat outside on the patio which was fine. Our server was not very friendly. We ordered a lunch taco salad with chicken. I thought it would be actual pieces of chicken like is served other places I go. This was all chopped up more like a mush. Awful! We then paid extra for a chicken breast but it was all chopped up and came in a bowl! Tried telling our server this wasnt what we wanted but she was not concerned. We left without eating much but chips and salsa. We wont go back. Im sure there are better items but after this experience I wont be back.

Ive been there several times for their lunch specials, and the service was pretty good. But during my last visit, the waiter was terrible, he didnt do anything, didnt offer to refill my water, or salsa etc. and tried to hurry me to leave and kick me out. I was unhappy with that and did not leave a tip. Later on I found that they charged me a 20% tip without my consent and that is unacceptable. Im not 100% sure if my waiter did it, its not very much money and not worth the time to dispute. But it is a despicable thing to do. I dont remember the name of that waiter, but I remember he was a tall, slim caucasian male with gelled hair.

It is some of the best guiso I have had out. I like spicy salsa and the serrano salsa is good. It is served warm. Neal price does not include alcohol. Parking: Several restaurants and most times is sufficient. Wheelchair accessibility: It is accommodating but parking lot can be rough. Although there is parking in the rear that makes it easier.

Wow, this food blew me away. I came here to celebrate moving into college and the plate was exactly what I needed after a hard day of work. The chips are crispy and fresh and the salsa is super spicy in a fantastically refreshing way. Most dishes come with seasoned rice that was so tender and your choice of black or pinto beans that were creamy and well seasoned. I was going to order the pork tamales, but they were unfortunately out. That being said, our waitress was an angel and figured out a substitution and gave me a plate of veggie tamales with shredded pork on top and they were AMAZING! I was absolutely obsessed. The brisket enchiladas were also incredibly tender and hearty. Overall, this food was *so* good and I can t wait to come back. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are not an oversight at all; they all come with wonderful stir fried veggies on top that were to die for. Parking: Depending on the time of day, the parking lot can be absolutely packed. Come 10 minutes early to find a good parking spot if you need to be somewhere punctually.

Possibly the best Tex-Mex place in Richardson. The steak fajitas melt in your mouth. The frozen margaritas are exemplary. The queso blanco is always hot and fresh, and pairs well with the complementary salsa and all of the entrees I ve tried. Lorena (bar are staff) is always prompt and has essentially memorized our order at this point. Fun, relaxing atmosphere. 80 hits on the radio. Delightfully tacky décor. A personal favorite.

It has been along time since I can remember thatmy wife and I have experience such great service. But we did yesterday at Dos Arroyos. I think our servers name is Samuel. He had told us that he had only been there 3 weeks. Dos Arroyos keep him he is an excllent server. The food was also very good. The portions were good and my wife and I left there knowing we wuold be back. This is are Favorite Mexican resturant now. I would highly recommed it to anyone who loves Mexican food. But most of all again it was the service. Thank you Dos Arroyos for a great new experience that we will truly remember.

I enjoy coming here for the drinks and food. I typically sit at the bar, and I would like to see the bartenders be a bit more personable, engaging, and attentive. I usually have to get their attention when I need something. Also, the music should match the restaurants theme/decor/ambience, and not rock or Top 40.

It was a nice cozy atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. My sister in law had the salmon enchiladas and I had the brisket enchiladas. The meat was served over the enchiladas and they were filled with mashed potatoes and cheese. They were really good. The flavors were balanced quite well so the amount of thought that went into the recipe shows. Edit: Also forgot to mention that the tortillas that they used were corn tortillas so if you need gluten free options, they have them.

Very tasty vegetarian and vegan options on the menu (excellent veggie tamales that can be made vegan by substituting the sauce and asking for no cheese on the beans). Nice drink choices, and we always receive good service. Patio dining available. The service was great and our waitress was so nice. The food was just okay, but the menu is just really odd. We ordered 2 skinny margaritas each ($53 total) and it s possible they completely forgot to put the tequila in and they filled the cup up 98% ice. We will skip this place next time. Too bad, great location.

Dos Arroyos is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food is always top notch, and they offer a great mix of tradition Tex Mex fare as well as some more inventive items like a Mexican lasagna. The service can be pretty slow at peak times, but the great food and atmosphere more than make up for that.

I havent been here in at least 6 years, since it was called Frankies (same ownership, different name). I dont know if the food was prepared differently or if they had different recipes years ago, but I remember it being better. Nothing spectacular this go around, the queso was like stock cheese that had been melted down... Kraft singles wouldnt have tasted much different. Margaritas on the rocks had entirely too much sweet and sour. I appreciate that its Cinco de mayo and a mad house, thats why everything earned three stars, otherwise it would not have.
